Drinks Guinness now, took a few trips to Ireland to learn about the country and is strongly considering moving to Ireland should things go sideways in the U.S.

Americans with swedish ancestry can apply to come here and compete to have a family reunion with their distant relatives. they each get to meet one relative right at the beginning, then every episode they're immersed in one aspect of swedish culture and then compete in challenges based on that one thing. along the way everyone gets their own personal segment where they get a family history usually going back three or four generations before their ancestor emigrated. the great emigration of swedes to america is a big moment in our history so usually people here are really interested in americans with swedish ancestry, which I think is how it started.

Interesting! I don't think I have any swedish heritage, but I do know a large portion of my family on my mom's side are from Denmark.

I'm from Germany, but I have some Polish ancestors which is really cool. Because of this, I've recently started learning Polish. I've also lived in Denmark for a while. Seriously guys, don't sleep on Denmark, it's such a beautiful country.

I think the big tourist places or places that a lot of people go to are overrated. I'd rather go to Denmark and see all the landscape and cool little towns and whatnot over going to some cluster duck like L.A. or New York or London. I'd probably get tired of all the people and go do something secluded for a while.

What is the name of the show? We -in the USA- have a show that sounds a lot like that but is called relative race and is only in the USA

I'm American but I've moved to Germany for my fiance. It's so nice here, but learning the language is so hard. Grammar/word order is really difficult for me.

O: I literally was just learning about Estonia yesterday. Really? That's such an awesome coincidence! What all did you learn? XD I was just poking around to learn about the best countries to live in and why. Apparently it's really good for internet rights, or so I've found. I was just randomly poking around to learn more about it after that, because I was like 'never heard of this place ...'

Not many people have, at least it's not as popular as like France or Germany or so

I'm from the US originally but lived overseas for my childhood and early teens. I like to joke that I'm half from that country and half from the states as well. I desperately want to go back and not live in the states anymore too 😞
