AUDO COINBREW โ LOCATION: THE SATIN CLUB โ
Audo was no idiot. As a man of science, he was quite educated in the logistics of how the world worked. He studied physics in university. He knew that if he spilled his drink, the speed at which it hit the ground was calculable. But knowledge of facts and formulas was not where Audoโs intelligence lay. Audo was a clever man because he was at peace with a difficult fact: the many things humans had come to study are vastly outweighed by those that are beyond explanation.
This acceptance was not something that came naturally to him. There was a period of his life in which he strove to learn as much as possible about how things worked. He read about history and psychology. He apprenticed for doctors and visited professors long after class concluded. There were times when he neglected to sleep or socialize with his peers because he was so focused on his work.
Things changed, however, when he met his late wife. Her philosophy was the exact opposite from his at the time. She did not care to memorize formulae or perfect her grammar. She willingly admitted her ignorance when it came to certain subjects. But she was also much smarter when it came to other people. She could spend ten minutes talking with someone and come away with a deep empathy for them. During their long walks in the forest, she spoke as if the very trees and rocks around them had souls.
Only after her death did Audo realize the extent to which she reframed his own way of thinking. He looked at the people around him differently now. Instead of viewing them as biology mixed with psychology, he viewed them as magic with a sprinkle of logic. Koane was no different. He was a fascinating person, one who Audo would never claim to understand. There was something unusual about him, a stillness and a tension. Audo felt the bearded man bristle slightly at his teasing about tardiness.
After the act was finished and Lucia Grimme exited the stage, Koane leaned in to whisper a warning. Your little bird is getting ready to fly. The same thought had occurred to Audo, though he hoped his intuition was wrong. If Koane sensed it, however, they had better act quickly.
โAlright,โ Audo whispered in reply. โFollow me. Weโll try not to spook her.โ
He reached for his umbrella and glanced toward the side door. Despite their urgency, he felt a twinge of guilt for standing in the middle of the show and picking his way through the audience. Some of them eyed the two men in annoyance. Others reluctantly moved their feet out of the narrow aisles. Just as he reached the door leading to backstage, he paused.
โIs that Calliope?โ he asked Koane in a hushed voice, gesturing to the street outside. His eyesight was not the best at a distance, but he recognized the willowy figure and auburn hair of their mutual friend. Hesitating, door handle in the palm of his hand, Audo said, โWe should find her after. Iโve been meaning to consult her on this case.โ Then he looked back at Koane. โReady?โ he asked, but he didnโt wait for an answer before pulling open the stage door.

LUCIA GRIMME โ LOCATION: NEAR THE SATIN CLUB โ
Lucia was having trouble processing the whole situation. The last few days had been a blur. Though the memories of the fateful night flooded her brain, she felt incapable of explaining the situation to Lleu. At any moment, Coinbrew could come walking in, demanding to know why she had been seen at the scene of the crime. That alone was not enough to get her in trouble. It was the letters that had her worried.
Her muscles relaxed at Nuadhaโs touch. He gripped her shoulders and then caressed her chin. She could tell he was hurt that she had kept everything secret. She gripped his forearm, dark gaze melting. โI was afraid of putting you in danger,โ she told him sincerely. โWhoever these letters are from, I get the sense that theyโre powerful people.โ
There was no convincing him to stay behind and finish the show, she understood that now. She could sense the protectiveness that had already begun radiating from her beau. โLeon is going to murder us,โ she blurted out as he shepherded her toward the door. She slipped into her coat as they walked. Her costume was anything but discrete, and they needed to reach the Emperiors unnoticed if they wanted to avoid trouble. It was a stupid thought, but she wished she was wearing something nicer to meet with the leaders of the wyrms.
You canโt please everyone, Lucie, her older sister had told her once. If only she had listened. That advice would have saved her a lot of trouble.
There were no detectives waiting for them in the hall, nor outside in the back alley of the club. Lucia popped the collar on her coat to avoid the cold rain that fell from the sky. She was thankful for Nuadhaโs presence. He made her feel stronger. Soon the wet pavement guided them into the depths of the city, away from the little theatre. When she was confident no one was following them, she began to explain.
โI got a letter in the mail about a week ago. It had no return address, and at first I was inclined to ignore it. But there was something menacing in the tone, and I told myself it might have been written by an old friend or a potential employer. I was supposed to go to the apartment complex in Lower Thistle, the one with the old dance studio. But when I got there, I knew immediately something was wrong. There was a strange orange light coming from the windows, and I could smell smoke. I burst through the door and started up the stairs, but fire had already reached the landing. I called out, trying to locate anyone who might be in the building, but no one answered. I donโt know how to explain it, but there was a strange presence in the room, beyond just the burning. I felt like I was being watched.โ
She paused as they passed a group of couple of men in black hats, not wanting to be overheard.
โI ran from the building to escape the smoke. By then, there were some people gathered outside and I could hear the sirens. I went home and I washed off the scent of smoke from my skin and hair. I didnโt tell anyone because I felt guilty for not staying longer. And then a few days later I got another envelope in the mail, similar to the last one. But instead of containing a letter it held pictures of me from that night, shots of me entering the building and exiting. Closeups of my face, my furrowed brows. And a newspaper clipping talking about the โMysterious Fires Reach Lower Thistle.โ It had a few words copied over in red ink. Words like โarsony,โ โmanslaughter,โ โevil.โ And the last sentence which said, โAmateur detective Audo Coinbrew is said to be on the case.โโ
She looked up at Llue, trying to gauge his reaction. She bit her lip lightly before disclosing the last detail, โThere was also a small note enclosed. It said only โTheyโre coming. Iโve made sure all the evidence points to you.โโ

LEIF 19 โฏ Male โฏ Shapeshifter โฏ Unaffiliated โฏ The Street Rat โฏ โฏ Location: Near The Satin Club โฏ _____________________________
After making sure he could no longer gather anymore information, Leif quickly left The Satin Club, and hid. The one thing Leif learnt when practicing his shapeshifting, was how to change quickly. The young boy changed into an inconspicuous set of clothes. He had holes all over the city stuffed with sets of clothing. Now, he was in a much smaller form of younger teenager just out of his prepubescent stage. His hair was a black colouring, and his skin a wheat tone. His eyes changed to a light blue that he kept hidden under a grey newsboys cap. He wore a slightly dirty plaid yellow shirt that was hidden under long brown overcoat and sports sneakers on his feet. When experimenting, he'd found that sports sneakers made less noise than oxfords and boots. It was perfect for sneaking around.
After making sure he was fully changed, Leif stuffed the female clothing he'd just worn into the hiding place, and stayed in the shadows. He wanted to see who'd come out and whether he could gather anything else. He soon noticed Lucia with Llue and followed them. His sneakers were quiet which were perfect for this kind of sneaking around. He remained a certain distance away from Lucia and Lleu, but close enough to hear them.
โI got a letter in the mail about a week ago. It had no return address, and at first I was inclined to ignore it. But there was something menacing in the tone, and I told myself it might have been written by an old friend or a potential employer. He listened to Lucia talking to Lleu, and noticed that it was about the Arsonist. Excitement shone in his eyes. He finally had something! This was great! He then noticed the men that walked by Lucia and Lleu, and hid away. He couldn't hear anything else, as they were too far away now. Leif curses quietly, as he tries to find a way to stay hidden, but still follow and hear what Lucia and Lleu were talking about. He had to know. He was an information broker. He needed that information. By the time he was in hearing distance of Lucia and Lleu, all he could hear was her last few sentences.
โThere was also a small note enclosed. It said only โTheyโre coming. Iโve made sure all the evidence points to you.โโ What did that mean? It meant that someone clearly didn't like Lucia, and was trying to frame her. Who knew if the little information he got was true, but at the same time, if it was, then someone powerful must be behind the Arsonist. That made things very dangerous. Leif had skirted with danger ever since he could walk, but this was going to be dangerous for everyone involved, including the new detective on the case. He just hoped that whatever storm was coming, they'd all be ready for it.

[ Hi- sorry. Allergies are being a pain >~< I'll start a draft when I can! ]
[ And yay~ I absolutely love fae, I had wanted to ask for that as an option ahead of time but I thought I should just stick to what was available haha Their addition raises a few concerns about power-scaling, however. With so many powerful nigh-immortal races, it's hard to believe that an 'arsonist' is the biggest threat in lieu of a couple wanna-be Voldemorts. Like, how are humans not enslaved or something when they don't appear to have anything to offer? ]

[ No worries at all! I hope you find relief soon! ]
[ Good question! My thinking about it is essentially that immortal figures have motivations beyond just power (love, amusement, inner peace, debauchery, etc.) I like the idea that a truly old soul would have no interest in enslaving whole races. So perhaps many of them are unconcerned with what humans do, besides just meddling with their lives for entertainment. Also there's the idea that the more immortal races keep each other in balance simply through competition, and their own disputes might be less visible to humans. To your point about the arsonist, it's true that they might not be a perceived threat to immortal folk. That might be a problem Lucia and Lleu run into when they turn to the godfathers c: Unless of course the arson is just the first crime committed by a much more powerful person? *dun dun dun* ]
[ edit: Oh another explanation for elves, vampires, etc. not enslaving humans is that they are greatly outnumbered. Humans are still by far the most numerous in the world, and their grasp of technology has made them more powerful c: Who's to say that powerful people like presidents, prime ministers, etc aren't closeted supernaturals as well. ]

Nuadha L. Belvedere โ LOCATION: NEAR THE SATIN CLUB โ
|- "I was afraid of putting you in danger,โ she had told him sincerely. โWhoever these letters are from, I get the sense that theyโre powerful people.โ
Nuadha couldn't help a laugh then, exasperated and fond. "Oh A mhuirnรญn, please never have fear of that. You do know that I would welcome it, especially if it's for your sake~" It is perhaps a good thing that he has Lucia to worry for him- Nuadha is not the least bit concerned for his well-being. In fact, he is rather taken with a restless anticipation- and indignation, of course. That anyone would dare threaten his sweetheart in such a way. And under his own nose. Who had the nerve? Perhaps Nuadha hasn't been violent enough to make it clear that they are not to be messed with? If anyone has a problem with Lucia Grimme, they should say it to his face so that they may be dealt with accordingly. Nuadha only grows more aggravated the more he dwells on the notion.
He wants to demand to know when- if ever- she planned on telling him, but that isn't important right now, and she's upset enough as it is. Nuadha exhales harshly through his teeth as she speaks, slowly adjusting his pace and gait when he realizes that his mood has affected his stride. With a hand at her much lower waist, he had been forcing her to match his speed. Nuadha slides his hand down her arm to lace their fingers together, lifting their joined hands to press an apologetic kiss to the backs of her knuckles. Their eyes met with her last words. "I don't know what information this bastลซn believes it's operating on, but there is no 'you'. We are going to solve this together, okay?" He's forced to soften his words once again, tugging her irrationally closer. Nuadha opens his mouth to say something else but instead pauses and lifts his chin, scenting the air.
"Watched," he echoes softly, narrowed eyes slanting to catch a reflection in the window of a shop they were passing. Naturally, he can't see himself, but he does catch the glimpse of a familiar shape in his peripheral.
Purportedly, the ability to decipher individual scents in a city so large and densely packed comes with experience that Nuadha presently lacks, but he has created shortcuts to allow him to remain aware of shifts in his ever-changing surroundings. One of the simplest is to mentally 'catch and release' scents as they enter and leave within five feet of him. Though it's further back, Nuadha gradually becomes aware of shapeshifter blood remaining close enough to raise his proverbial hackles; he's a bit peeved that it took him so long to pinpoint.
The rain has done well to thin out those hurrying through the streets and can likely be relied on to affect visibility. The fewer witnesses the better. Well then. "Excuse me," Nuadha whirls on his heel and darts forward, gloved fingers twisting into dark hair as he moves to drag the accompanying shapeshifter into a nearby alley.

[ Please excuse my terrible drop in writing quality...]
[ Oh, of course! ^^ Dictatorship is rather boring~ I'm sorry if my tone came off too pointed? I really don't mean to be rude! What I mean was more that, the structure of the world must be at least a little different if there are so many beings who can kind of do what they want in regards to humans- like demons and fae. In terms of myth, both are known for causing chaos on the regular, but they still have rules to follow. So my main point was, do you have similar rules in place so that humans aren't completely at their mercy?
As in, iron can kill fae, vampires need permission, demons are reliant on summoners/contracts/etc. I figured that humans would outnumber them, but I think even a platoon might struggle against a single demon if say, he could just set them all on fire! Haha what technology do they have, exactly?
Oo, so is there another layer of the police force/army solely featuring supernaturals? Yes, it'd make sense for a few to infiltrate the government, haha~ ]

[ Pearl! Also, I tried to kind of leave it open so that Leif can dodge Lleu if you want him to? Regardless of whether he recognizes Leif's blood, Lleu is kind of wound up so he attacks first and makes threats later ^^" ]
[ Also! Warnings for Lleu being as apt to use terms of endearments as he is swears haha~ He was raised by a Gaelic warrior fae so the fact that he isn't swearing every other word is a miracle
" A mhuirnรญn " means "my darling" or "my sweetheart" ]

[ Got it! ^^ Truthfully, I realize now that we probably don't have to worry about things on a larger scale, as our story currently only concerns Thistlestreet and the Arsonist, I just needed some ideas for my characters! ^^" Example being, I was worried about Juste being too OP so I gave him a handicap, and I wanted to know if the mythical rules I'm familiar with would apply here as well. Like how Werewolves are still affected by the moon! ]
[ Sure! Goodnight~ ^^ ]

LEIF 19 โฏ Male โฏ Shapeshifter โฏ Unaffiliated โฏ The Street Rat โฏ โฏ Location: Near The Satin Club โฏ _____________________________
"I don't know what information this bastลซn believes it's operating on, but there is no 'you'. We are going to solve this together, okay?" Hearing Lleu say that, Leif couldn't help but snicker. He'd forgotten how sickly sweet Lleu and Lucia were together. Growing up with Lucia, Leif didn't think she went for younger men. It was an eye-opener when he found out about their relationship. He did a little digging on Lleu after she got together with him, and found out about how he was younger than her. Leif, himself, preferred someone younger than him, but he didn't really mind if Lleu got together with her. Just as long as he didn't hurt Lucia, Leif was fine with him.
Leif was actually surprised that neither Lucia nor Lleu had noticed him. He thought they'd have noticed much earlier. After all, every time he'd tried to talk to Lucia in disguise, she always knew it was him. Lleu too. It frustrated him to no end. Although he lived next door to Lucia, he didn't know all of her secrets, and finding out secrets was what he did best. "Excuse me," Lleu had said, before darting towards him.
"S***!" Leif swears, as he tries to get away. Unfortunately, Lleu was able to grab his dark hair. He wished it was back to its cropped form rather than the ragged long locks he currently sported. As Lleu grabbed him, he wished he'd changed his appearance closer to his own. Maybe then he wouldn't be attacked by Lleu like that. "F*** Nuadha! Get your bloody hands off me! You f****** boob! You're a flaming youth! A bloody palooka! It's me, Leif!" Leif's constant curses at Lleu didn't help his situation one bit, and he realised that just before he stated his name. He changes his appearance back to his original, and glares at Lleu, puffing his cheeks. He was so mad, you could see the steam coming out of his ears.
"You're going to drive me up the sodding wall with your attack first, speak later business! You're a sap for not realising who I was!" Being jumped on like that really sunk Leif's originally bright and cheerful mood.
(Boob is 20s slang for a stupid man. Flaming youth is a male equivalent of a flapper. Palooka is a man who's not bright. Sap is a man who's not smart.)
(I think the arsonist should be a group of people. Maybe a group of young immortals that just want to muck around and have fun or are trying to prove some point to their guardians. Like young fae and fledgeling vampires that were turned too young. The ones that are unassuming and the least likely to be suspected.)

LUCIA GRIMME โ LOCATION: NEAR THE SATIN CLUB โ
โThank you,โ Lucia told Nuadha. She meant it. How she was planning to solve this on her own before, she did not know. She was always the type to feel guilty for asking for help, but that she would deal with quietly. For now, their task was clear. She tightened her hand around his just as he tensed.
โWatched,โ he murmured. Before she could react, Lleu had released her hand and turned. His vampiric reflexes were too quick for her, and by the time she looked back he had already pinned their stalker to a wall.
At first Lucia did not recognize Leif. She shadowed her lover into the nearby alley, reaching to pull him back as the stalker squalled a barrage of insults. The voice was not one she had heard before yet it had a twinge of familiarity. She wracked her brain, trying to place it. Only once Nuadhaโs posture relaxed slightly did Lucia make the connection. Leif melted into his natural form, and Luciaโs breathing slowed.
โBoth of you relax before we draw attention,โ she ordered softly. She glanced back to the busy street, hoping they had not already alerted passersby. Thankfully the people of New York seemed unbothered by swear-laden shouting. When her gaze returned to Leif, it had already softened.
โSorry Leif. Weโre both on edge.โ She had always had a soft spot for her former neighbor. He was only a few years younger than herself, but age gaps to children always feel much greater. She supposed he was not much younger than Lleu. But he still felt like a little brother to her. He practically had been in their old apartment complex, when their mothers would leave them to play unattended for hours on end. He was the closest thing she had to a sibling her age. All of her mother's children had long since left the nest by the time she was born.
She folded her arms over her chest, sheltering herself from the chill of the autumn rain. โI should wash your mouth out with soap,โ she added, once again forgetting that Leif was a grown man. โHow much did you overhear anyway?โ Her pitch raised slightly, indicating her fear. She already felt guilty for dragging Nuadha into her predicament. The last thing she wanted was for Leif to become endangered as well. She hoped he had not heard their conversation and she could send him home with another light scolding.

KOANE โ LOCATION: THE SATIN CLUB โ
Koane cocked his head in agreement to Audo. Almost in unison, the two men stood from their seats and began to weave through the crowd, heading for the side entrance. Several of the party-goers glared at the pair, but looked away quickly when Koane turned his dark gaze to them. He flashed his teeth in a warning smile to a particular group that hissed in annoyance at him. They backed off pretty quickly; some ingrained instinct, often ignored by modern humans, warned them that Koane was an apex predator. He was cloaked in danger, and it was not wise to meet his gaze. To try Koaneโs attention and ire was to face death itself. Finally, the pair emerged from the sea of audience members, and reached the backstage door.
Audo paused and glanced out a nearby window. โIs that Calliope?โ He waved his hands towards the darkened street. Koane flicked his gaze over for an instant before he grunted in confirmation. โWe should find her after. Iโve been meaning to consult her on this case.โ Audo turned back to the werewolf. โReady?โ he asked. Koane nodded.
As soon as Audo opened the door, Koane slipped in ahead of him, falling back into his role as the bodyguard-of-sorts. His dark gaze scanned the various faces of those who worked at the Satin Club. Most of them were looking at the pair with confusion, while a few others were openly hostile. Audo entered behind him, but Koane kept his attention on scanning the room visually and with his sense of smell. There was another femaleโs scent here, entwined with the scent of some male. The sharp, bitter scent of vampire warned Koane that their target was involved with another supernatural. He sighed. He wasnโt a fan of vampires usually; every time heโd fought one, he walked away with another destroyed set of clothing, even if he didnโt shift. He exhaled sharply, trying to push as much of the vampireโs scent out of his nose as possible to dispel the burning. He cast out his hearing, but could not identify anyone else in the rooms around them.
โI think sheโs gone to the wind,โ he told Audo, turning to face his partner. He watched the other cast members out of the corner of his eye.

THE MORRIGAN โ LOCATION: NEAR THE SATIN CLUB โ
A short distance from the Satin Club, somewhere above the street, cloaked in shadows, sat a lonely crow. It cast its gaze on the earth below, watching and listening as a pair of lovers strode along the street. Each word spoken, the crow pondered over, and stored away carefully for later use. A lonely crow indeed.
The pair was joined by another, and the crow studied them silently, listening. After a long moment, the crow took to the air, releasing a shrill caw. Its red eyes gleamed in the moonlight as it swept past the trio, flying close enough to make them aware of its presence.
And then it was gone, swallowed by the shadows once more.

NUADHA L. BELVEDERE
โ LOCATION: NEAR THE SATIN CLUB โ
|- The vampire twirled them into a narrow alley, stopping just short of slamming the shorter man into the concrete side of the building. He wants answers now; knocking the shifter out would not exactly facilitate that. A sharp jerk bared the man's throat, his fangs flashing in a silent snarl as he struggled to dial back on his less forgiving instincts. Living amongst other...beings who aren't typically out to get him has forced the vampire to re-evaluate a good portion of his master's teachings. Chief among them being the rule of killing whatever and whoever has even the smallest suggestion of being a later threat. Only annoying minor ones, of course, as they would distract from his goal of finding truly challenging opponents. The books Master would attempt to hide from him held different opinions, however. There is no reason to kill someone who means you no harm, right? Yes, that's the new philosophy that he's attempting to follow. It's a rather trying one, but he suffers for Lucia's sake.
Stepping back, he ran his tongue over a fang, making a mental note to visit Xiao Song at some later point. He has been peaky since changing his schedule around not being thirsty in her company. This shapeshifter, however...
'Rather mouthy aren't ye? Y'little hypocrite.'
Nuadha steps away as Leif's features become more familiar, discreetly wiping the offending hand on a crumpled handkerchief. "Ye weren't seriously expecting a different response, were ye? Idiot." He scoffs, wisteria eyes narrowing in disgust. "I'm more apt to drive you into the sodding ground. Where d'ye get off, stalking a 'friend' under a false identity? Who bought you this time?"
Out of respect for their mutual friend, Nuadha had never fully made his feelings on the shapeshifter and his 'occupation' explicit. Being a Fire Swallower may not be laudable by any means, but at least he isn't a sell-out or a thief. And if he were, he'd be infinitely more honorable about it. If you're going to steal from someone, you should do it in their face! Or so Master always said~ And at the very least, he'd never skulk around the people he cares about in order to learn their secrets or weaknesses- not for someone else's sake-
Lucia's soft admonishment is met with a quiet huff, but the vampire refrains from firing back that if he had known it was Leif, the man would have been left unconscious in the rain and safely out of their way. Besides, attack first, speak later is how one stays alive. His Master had said so.
Annoyed, but not so much as to be inattentive, he slinks behind Lucia as she speaks and wraps his arms around her with his body angled toward the mouth of the alley. With Leif no longer being classified as a threat, Nuadha shifts his attention outward. Lucia has already posed the burning question and hopefully the response will be in the negative. Nuadha doubts the information broker is present out of concern for his friend and he'd rather put the detestable man behind them as soon as possible. They're on a mission, after all. One he is reminded of when the crow he had been eyeing makes its presence heard, gliding close enough for him to catch a glimpse of its unusually red eyes.
Nuadha straightens, removing his coat as he speaks. "Lucia, I think we may have gained our audience." He punctuates this by cocooning her in his coat and buttoning it up to the neck. If he's swift, she may not have time to protest. "Let's not leave them waiting." A hand to her waist, he steers them away from Leif.
'Leave the rat leave the rat leave-'

For one, he changes up the way he speaks when talking to others versus talking to Lucia haha~ I've also decided not to write his dialogue in full brogue, there will only be occasional emphasis and slang where applicable but the accent and such is there! In subtext..! ] [ And Pearl, I'm still not sure what his secret could be but I'm still thinking! It could be that Leif finds out that he has murdered someone? unsurprsing but don't quote me on that! ] [ And parisiansteve , if you find a way, do feel free to drop your Jewel off with Song, he'd love to entertain her~ And we could even weave in some plot-type things gleaned from the other goings-on ~ ]

LEIF 19 โฏ Male โฏ Shapeshifter โฏ Unaffiliated โฏ The Street Rat โฏ โฏ Location: Near The Satin Club โฏ _____________________________
Getting shoved into a wall really hurt, especially when the person shoving you into said wall was a vampire who didn't control his strength. He shakes out his clothes, before looking at Nuadha with scorn. "No one bought me," he sneers. "And stalking people is my job. When I need information, I stalk. It's not like people tell me every little gritty detail. And anyway, any secrets I find out about Lucia, I never tell. She's like my big sis. There's no way I'd sell her out. But I do need to know some things so that I can watch out for her. Just in case someone comes buzzing around and starts getting too close to what's false. You can't protect her all the time, and if I have information, I can control it. I was just out researching other things when I spotted the two of you."
โSorry Leif. Weโre both on edge.โ
Leif shrugs. "All good. It's not like I have any broken bones, so no harm, no foul." Watching Nuadha, he sneers at him once more. Just because he wasn't hurt, it didn't mean he wouldn't be rude towards Nuadha for a little while.
โI should wash your mouth out with soap,โ Lucia adds. Leif groans at her tone. โHow much did you overhear anyway?โ
"Not much. Just the beginning, then the end when you said you got some small note. Are you alright? I can try to dig up some info if you need. You do know I'm good at what I do. I just need to work on hiding from you and Nuadha here." Leif looks at Nuadha with disdain. "You'd be surprised at what my information network can dig up." He stops talking after noticing the crow swooping overhead.
"Lucia, I think we may have gained our audience. Let's not leave them waiting." When Nuadha speaks and tries to manoeuvre Lucia, Leif steps forward and follows them.
"I'll join you two. We do need to talk, after all."
(glow: They could be disdainful towards half-breeds since they're all pure blooded and thought half-breeds would be good scapegoats. They could be trying to prove themselves to their elders, and maybe they thought of using half-breeds as a scapegoat because they grew up with their elders badmouthing half-breeds. So they thought the best way to prove themselves was to get rid of some of the half-breed population in Thistlestreet.
Hushabye: I welcome any and all secrets, so take your time.)
