hello and welcome to mountainclan. this is a small jump in roleplay that is opened to 6-8 users. unlimited amount of characters. all that is required to join is a basic description of your cats plus their rank. all high ranks are available, just no doubling up unless given express permission. try and keep genders even. lgbtqia+ characters welcome. keep a list/tracker of all your characters.
RULES * simplified
* no need to worry about being active! this is just a for fun kind of roleplay!
* play as many characters as you wish!
* notify me of plots and i will add them to "plot lines"

* any bullying will not be tolerated. don't make users feel crappy
joining *
joining is extremely simple, just post a save, add your characters to that save and they'll be added. try and keep descriptions short and simple, but feel free to add a relations tab along with characters sexualities. keep all your characters on ONE post. tag me to let me know when youve added more characters so i know when to add them.
TERRITORY *
mountainclan territory is based in a mountain, as the name suggests. founded by a cat named Cliff, who is long passed away. the mountain has a forest at the base of it, and the clan makes their home in the cave system within the mountain. within the mountain is also a pool that they visit to talk to their ancestors.
camp: camp is a set of smaller caves (the dens) in a larger cave.
frosted pool: the spiritual pool - located down the tunnel in the back of the main cave. no cat uses it but the leader, and medicine cats.
forest: at the base of the mountain, where the cats typically hunt and practice battling.
cliff peaks: the cliffs around the mountain. apprentices are taught how to scale here. these are extremely dangerous and cats are advised to never go alone. apprentices must have a warrior around.
PLOT LINE(S):
the weather on the mountains has been horrid. mudslides everywhere. many cats believe its because starclan is angry with the newest choice of leader for mountainclan. cats have been dying left and right within the clan. a prophecy is sent out to sunflowerpaw, the medicine cat apprentice, saying a group of cats will come along and help reunite their bond and connection with the ancestors.

 { b r e e z e s t a r } With a mighty yawn, Breezestar had woken from his slumber. He blinked once or twice before getting to his paws. Stifling another yawn, he stepped out into the larger cave that made their camp. He could see the mouth with the sun pouring in as much as it could. Shaking his pelt, the tom felt damp and warm. He had taken too long of a nap. He took longer strides as he made a beeline for the entrance in hopes of stretching out before hunting. He would simply tell the guard of the camp where he was heading. Being leader was a very new experience for the tom and one he doesn't think he will get used to. Of course, within the past few days, he tried to return to normal and hunt with his Clanmates, but knowing that the Clan rested on his shoulders unnerved him. Sleeping had not come easy to Aloewhisker in the past few nights. Her nerves were too jittery, her muscles too tight, her mind too full of thoughts. The Clan was under serious strain, and while Aloewhisker had been doing all she could to help, she had been helping as a warrior. Now, though, she had to step up and help as the deputy. That put a lot more on her shoulders, more than she had ever expected, though she had accepted the position with pride in her heart. There had always been a part of the tabby that had wanted to rise up in the ranks, to show the Clan that she was capable of whatever she set her mind to, and now, here she was, but she hadn't expected to get the promotion she had always dreamed of in such...troublesome times.
Now with the camp starting to stir with the rising sun, Aloewhisker allowed herself to leave the confinements of her nest. She had been laying there, awake, since before any light graced the sky, but she knew she needed some semblance of rest if she wanted to prove herself a worthy deputy. Weary-boned and tired-minded as she was, Aloewhisker needed to be strong in front of her Clanmates, strong in front of the newly named Breezestar. She needed to prove her worth, now mroe than ever what with the weather and with the hushed whispers about Breezestar that she occasionally heard from her Clanmates.
Once outside the warriors' den, the molly glanced around the camp, looking for any other cat that was awake and willing to be assigned to one of the many patrols she would have to make.

The sun glistened through the cave entrance, bouncing off the tiny water pool in the medicine cat cave that the young apprentice was sleeping in. It lit the den beautifully- but caused for a pretty annoyed apprentice to wake from her slumber. The glint had fell into her face, causing the sun light to wake her. She grunted softly and sat up slowly, a messy pelt hosting a bunch of pebbles and moss. Shaking herself out, the medicine cat apprentice limped her way out of the den. The morning had just begun, and the summer time left the mountain snow-free and warm.
Looking around, she noticed that most of the cats were getting up and ready to start their day. Sitting down by the entrance, Sunflowerpaw waited patiently for Glacialwolf to join her. Maybe the two of them could go herb hunting. Or maybe she could go out with her brother to look around. She just wanted to do something. Ever since her fall, not many cats liked when she went out of camp without someone else monitoring her. But that was a full moon and a half ago- her leg was healed, though twisted and practically useless and limp. She could still go outside, looking around. She wasn't a kit. Sighing, she looked at her paws, clawing at the dirt ground beneath her. |

 Just as his apprentice was withdrawing from the medicine cat den, Glacialwolf was returning from a trip to the warriors den. A bundle of unused herbs; mostly comfrey and a small portion of daisy leaf, clamped between his dark grey jaws. Moss was caught in his dark fur, giving him a rather ruffled appearance, but his pace was unhurried and demeanour calm.
He had been woken early, but fortunately for nothing that was overly concerning; one of the warriors had complained of a wrench claw and consequent sore leg. About as mundane as his job could possibly be, except on the occasion he'd had to apply mouse bile to elders, or having to pull thorns out of kitten paws.
However, he much preferred the dull days to those he could barely sit down between jobs. This peace was welcome, though quite common nowadays. Even the Stars seemed to be hibernating in recent moons, things were far too quiet.
As his eyes adjusted from the dull of warriors den to the bright gold of early morning camp, he soon spots the brightly coloured shecat he called an apprentice. The bulky tom dips his head in greeting as he approaches her, placing his bundle beside his paws as he greets Sunflowerpaw.
