Nanji walked after Shen. Keeping his phone on the ruins, to give better lighting for the pictures Shen was taking. "Are you okay though," he asked him, in regards to how many times he had seen Shen get hit. He glanced around them, shaking off the dread that was threatening to encompass him.

Willow stayed close to him, her feelers wrapped around her trainer's free arm, hoping to provide some comfort to him. "Do you think there are more like this though," he asked looking to Shen. "It seems weird if there is only this one cluster, though maybe the rest just got destroyed overtime?"

Zinon kept his eyes on his Sandshrew as he thought it over. He certainly wasn't going to tell some kid he just met his lifestory. Then again he didn't have to. An overly simplified version would probably be enough. "Well... I grew up in Kratos City," he said simply as if he thought that would be a sufficient explanation. It was known for its Colloseum and the fact that pretty much everyone there wanted to battle, after all. With a shrug he continued. "If you have a Pokémon you are sure to be challenged there so once I met Sandshrew and took her in I didn't really have much of a choice." He gave a brief chuckle. "I guess when you live among so many other trainers it's very easy to want to try it for yourself. As for getting stronger, I mostly challenge other trainers. Wild Pokémon are good to of course but you won't learn much about different techniques and strategies that way."

Elia | Kappa City | Charlotte

"They sure do," Elia managed to get in before Charlotte went on and on about the blog. Even for his two Pokémon this was true, even though Lutra and Ennea probably didn't see each other as friends yet. Mostly because the Vulpix just tolerated the Oshawott for now. He couldn't deny that interacting with each other had a positive effect on the two though. While he listened to the other trainer Elia kept glancing towards the route but nodded to show that he was listening. Finally Charlotte was ready to head out and with a grin Elia followed after her. Once they had reached the route he also let his Vulpix out of her ball. He would mostly look for some wild Pokémon for Lutra and Ennea to fight against. "Let's see what we can find, shall we?"

Jay laughed a bit as he realized that he was getting to excited. Giving a sheepish grin to the champion. "Sorry," he apologized. "I'm just excited I guess." He thought it over, it was a month away, plenty of time to train if he needed to do so. "what time did you need to go see the press?" He had forgotten about the sole reason that the champion was in town to begin with.


Engi ran after his Fenniken, the little fire fox having gotten out of its poke ball. A constant battle that he was growing tired of, especially when it had costed him his amtch against the normal gym leader. Not looking where he was going as his eyes were trained on the fox pokemon he crashed right into someone, knocking in on to the ground. "Ow...," he mumbled rubbing his shin as it had hit the ground first. The Fenniken came running back when she saw her trainer fall, sniffing curiously at him to ensure he was fine.

"Nope," he said standing up. He flagged a smile to him. "Have a good interview. If you get done early and have time swing by the gym isf I'm not busy I'll treat you to some of the finest cuisine Nike Town has to offer!! Anyways see ya later!!" With that the gym leader ran off, looking for some unfortunate trainer to challenge to let out all this energy that he was trying his best to contain.


Engi hesitated before taking the hand that was offered. "Sorry," he murmured. "The pokemon center...but.." He sent a small glare to the fire type that sat at his feet. "Are you okay though?" He dusted himself off abit before getting a good look at who he had bumped into. He had been heading to the center after what was his third failed attempt at the normal gym.

Alexander: Nike Town leaving Jay

"I'll hold you too it." Alexander gives him a small wave before walking off to his villa. He needed to change his clothes and get his head in the game. Along with taking a moment to relax for a little bit. Plus, Alexander knew his Pokemon were eager to get out and stretch.



Neo: Trojan City with Engi

"I'm fine don't worry about it." Neo said crossing his arms over his chest. He eyes him for a moment before speaking up. "You have the look of a new trainer." All new trainers had the same look about them. Eagerness, bright eyes full of wonder and their chosen Pokémon walking beside them.



Lani: Icarus City with Signe

Lani and her group arrive in the city and track down the person in question. They managed to find the builder and convinced him to come into an alley before one of the grunts pinned him to the wall. "Tell us where the cave is located and you won't get hurt." The man looked at them surprised and shakes his head. "Please, just let me go!"

Neo: Trojan City with Engi

Neo shakes his head. "Not exactly but I was a trainer at some point." He battled a few gyms when he was younger but never saw the fun in it. He looked the boy up and down and decides to poke a little bit. "Something tells me you aren't happy about being a trainer. Do you know what you actually want to do?"

Elia | Route near Kappa City | Charlotte

At the other trainer's remark the Vulpix briefly paused her search, turned her head to look at Charlotte and her Pokémon and let out a delighted cry. Then she padded around again, glancing and sniffing around but never straying too far from Elia and Lutra. Elia looked over to the other trainer, wondering if she and Hiro had found anything yet. Next to him Lutra seemed to have decided on simply standing still and merely glancing about. At the sound of a growl however the Oshawott jumped forward and let out a challenging cry of his own. Elia immediately looked in the direction where the sound had come from. A Poochyena stood a few steps away from Ennea and growled with as much ferociousness as it could muster. The Vulpix however didn't seem too impressed. While she kept a careful distance she had no intention of backing off either. "Looks like you found something, Ennea," her trainer observed. With a small grin he glanced at Lutra. "Leave this one to her, okay?" The Oshawott nodded and stepped back, not wanting to get in the way of Ennea and the Poochyena.

Zinon | Temple of Arceus | Alkimos

Zinon thought about the question for a moment. So far he had never set foot into the gyms and had no intention of starting to challenge them now. Having travelled for quite a bit to train his Pokémon however he had gathered a thing or two about the gyms as plenty of trainers, young and old, talked about them. Especially when they had recently challenged a gym leader and lost. "Since it's the first gym the battles won't be too complicated," he finally said. "I've met a few trainers who already tried their luck and if I remember correctly it's a simple 'best out of three' rule." He glanced at the Chikorita. Like Alkimos had said, the little grass type wouldn't be of much use in that gym. The other two Pokémon, Zorua and Riolu, would at least have a decent chance though. "Do you have anything on your team that can deal with fire types?" At those words his Sandshrew nodded and pointed at herself, all accompanied by a self-important nod and a confident cry. Zinon let out an exasperated sigh but offered the Pokémon a slight smile regardless. "Yeah, like you."

Nanji drew back a bit more to get out of the way of the swinging arms. He wasn't all to surprised to see the other had somehow tripped again, but wanted to chalk it up it was from trying to avoid a move. He flinched as one attack got to close to comfort. "R-right," he agreed quickly.

"Willow, use Weather Ball," Nanji called out. The Sylveon nodded at her trainer, creating a small sphere before launching it toward the opposing pokemon.


Engi thought over the man's question. He soon just shrugged to it. "I don't know really," he said. "Its fine I guess being a trainer, its just rather boring, I don't understand the hype for it." He knew most people made a big deal when you wete old enough to set out but for him, he had always been content just choosing to do whatever he felt like at any given time. "But stick with something long enough and its bound to get interesting at some point I guess."

Nanji nodded, he looked to the opposing pokemon as he thought. "What if we have one of our pokemon attack from behind while one is distracting it," he said to When, keeping his voice low. The pokemon shouldn't be able to split it attention into two places at once if they were coming from opposite directions. As either way there would be an opening to attack. "If you want to do it that way," he said to him quickly. Willow sent out another dazzling gleam at the Runerigus, while it was busy dealing with Gin.
