She took mental note of the fact Lani was the only one on time, and to get the names of those who didn't. Signe was not the type you'd want to be late on as she would hold it against you "What information do you have on the lead?" she asked, crossing her arms across her chest and watching the grunt. Let's see what they've figured out at least.

The sound of a Pokemon approaching her had Charlotte turning her head. She brightened as she saw the little water Pokemon "Hello! Don't worry about it! I love Pokemon." she nodded at his question of being a trainer "Of course, this is my partner Hiro." she mimed like she was grabbing something on her should and held out plain air. Before either could speak a crying sound started up "Oh- Hiro it's alright." she sounded exasperated as tears started to build in her eyes and run down her cheeks. It took a minute or so, but she finally managed to calm the Pokemon, and in her hands appeared a Sobble "Sorry about that, this little guy is a bit timid." she explained.

Elia shot Lutra another grin when the other trainer reassured them that it was no bother. Then he turned his attention back to the girl again as she introduced her partner - or tried to. He bit back a chuckle at the crying sound while his Oshawott let out a few cries of his own, demanding to be lifted up to get a look. "Oh, right." Elia quickly picked up his Pokémon, just in time for him and Lutra to see the timid Sobble. At the girl's explanation he gave a quiet laugh and nodded. "You heard her. Try not to scare him, okay?" he whispered to Lutra who already held out one arm to greet Hiro. For a moment Elia considered letting out his Vulpix but with how timid the Sobble was that probably wasn't a good idea. Besides, Ennea wasn't too fond of water types so she probably wouldn't get along with him all that well. Instead he just said "Well, since we're already at it: I'm Elia. We're trying to get ready for our first gym battle. And you are...?"

Two new characters. A gym leader and a Team Fury member. Not done with the gym leader yet because, like Pearl and Spark said, it'd be good to know how many Pokémon they can use and what level they should be.Normal Gym Leader - done
Name: Maro Zarea
Description: Maro is a tall woman with wavy red hair, green eyes and tanned skin. She tends to dress very casual and likes warm and muted colors.
Age: 25
Personality: Maro is usually a pretty cheerful person. Sometimes it seems like she doesn't take her opponents seriously as she tends to act very carefree but she only does so to help the more nervous challengers calm down. She's observant and can adapt very. Maro also likes to joke around, mainly to get others to let their guard down, but other than that she values a fair fight and will only use as many Pokémon as her opponent. She often gives advice to other trainers, regardless of whether they take on the gyms or not.

Name: Zinon Gareas
Description: Zinon is short for his age and has a lean build. His right eye is green while the left one is gold and he has short black hair. He often wears a black hoodie and always wears a scarf with a camouflage pattern.
Age: 16
Personality: Zinon often comes across as disrespectful and short-tempered. While he can get along with others and values his friends he becomes easily annoyed when they do anything he considers stupid. He's not afraid to speak up when he disagrees with others and most of the time he tends to be respectful about it but if someone tries his patience he can be very condescending and petty. Other than that Zinon can be surprisingly considerate and protective of those he cares about and he is very kind to his Pokémon. Sometimes he acts more aggressive than he really is to trick his opponents into thinking that he relies solely on attacking mindlessly while in truth he loves to use moves that annoy and hinder them.

Name: Connor Brasher
Description: Connor has tousled dirty blond hair and brown eyes. He's about average height. Both the way he dresses and he carries himself is pretty casual, so the fact that he's one of Team Fury's admins tends to take people by surprise.
Age: 23
Personality: Connor can be somewhat arrogant and he usually doesn't take others seriously, at least those who think who can take on Team Fury. He tends to mock people who are against them but even though he does seem foolish it wouldn't be wise to actually mess with him. While he might come across as carefree it doesn't take much to anger him. He can be pretty ruthless when he feels threatened and he's willing to do pretty much anything to not disappoint the leaders. His fighting style is aggressive and he thinks defensive moves are just a waste of time.

(I do have three questions: How many gym leaders can we claim? Can you label the map? And what are the gym rules for each gym (aka, how many pokemon are to be used in a fight)? I also have an idea for a pokemon specific to the Pato Region... And hope to create a breeding centre/hatchery. How many pokemon can I have in the breeding centre/hatchery?) (1. For now I'll say you can claim two. After a while if no one else claims the others, I'll bump it up to three or four 2. That was something I was going to figure out. lol Sorry bout that 3. I would say it up to the rper but I was going to stick with the games/anime. Gym Leader looses when all of their Pokémon is knocked out. However if the gym leader wants to use a specific amount they are welcomed to do so. I would love to hear your suggestion and I would say as many as you want and a breeding center/hatchery sounds awesome!) |

alright i'll post up some starters) Nanji-Pan Forest-Open Nanji smiled as he climbed up into one of the many trees in the forest. He was closer to the side that was near Icarus City. He had been procrastinating getting around to battling the fifth gym, as he had lost his first attempt which lead to him wanting to train his pokemon. Granted that was two months ago and he hadn't gone back to try and rechallenge. Right now he was enjoying being in the forest, it was calm with out the noises of a city being around him, and the many trees that were available to climb up in, to him, he couldn't think of a better place to spend time. Sofija-Pandora City-Open Sofija sighed to herself, being the fourth gym meant that she had lots of free time. She groaned a bit as she got up flicking out her wrist. "I'm heading out," she said to one of the workers in the gym, not bothering to hear their response. As she got outside, she smiled a bit, enjoying the feeling of the hot pavement on her feet. She headed away from the gym, digging through her small bag she had taken with her to ensure she had the correct berries should she choose to go see the medium in the city, it wasn't a rare site to see the young woman there. Ari-Kappa City-Open Ari looked around with a small groan. He settled on a bench in the city, as he watched people go by. So far no one seemed like they would offer a real challenge, all the people he had seen so far where mostly first time trainers, which meant it would be boring battles. He pushed off of the bench, and headed around the city, looking for somewhere he could send out his pokemon to check up on them they had been coped up for a while, and though the pokeballs were meant to be comfortable, at least how they were advertised, he still wanted to look out for them. Grant-Kratos City-Open Grant hopped off of his Gogoat, petting the pokemon's head. "Thank you," he murmured to his companion before returning her to her pokeball. He adjusted the bag onto his form, tucking his nose under his scarf a bit. He knew the city was notorious for the constant battles, and part of him hoped to be able to capture some action shots, and this city seemed the best for what he was wanting to capture. He just hoped he wouldn't get dragged into any, otherwise he would just get decimated, and that was something he would like to avoid. The blonde haired man walked carefully on the streets watching carefully for what he was currently looking for. |

"Medicines, salves, and charms! Anything and everything to cure you of your ails!" Bell called out, waving a hand around and looking to the people passing by. Behind him was a blanket set out with multiple different vials and trinkets adorning it. Foxglove, his Servine, was sat behind the blanket, keeping an eye on his wares. Beside him stood an aloof looking Croagunk. Vel was his direct partner in crime, sometimes poisoning people just a little bit while also providing a substance from his fingers that eased muscle and joint pain. It was a good system.

How long had it been? Hours? Days? It was hard to tell at this point. At least that's what his hunger addled mind was telling him. In reality he'd gotten lost in the forest for all of forty five minutes. And he wasn't even lost really, Gin knew exactly where they were but he wasn't offering any help. Shen stumbled over a log and landed on the ground dramatically "I'm going to die Gin, fly my body out of here." he whined, rolling on his back and throwing his hands up in the air. His different colored Decidueye looked down at him, unimpressed with the loud exclamation and dramatics. They were here looking for a rogue ghost Pokemon, not to get lost and trip over every log, rock, and twig in their path. |

Name: Acorn Meadows
Description: Acorn is tall and lightly tanned. His skin tone is a more olive colour. His hair is a black that's curly and fluffy. His eyes are a leafy green that always seem to sparkle. He wears bright colours, preferring greens and blues to any other colour. His outfits consist of a shirt and jeans.
Age: 27
Personality: Acorn has a rather sunny disposition. He is bright, cheerful and full of life. He is a chatterbox, and loves to annoy anyone and everyone with his chatter. He calls himself a people person, but he is just scared of being alone. He hates the dark, and adores cute things. He also hates rainy days, preferring the bright sun shining upon him. You will always find Acorn in a meadow, lying on the grass. He is rather forgetful, so se always carries a notebook with him. Whenever he has something he needs to do, he always writes in it. Nanji-Pan Forest-Shen Nanji jumped down from the tree he had chosen to climb. Running a hand through his hair, the bangs falling back in his face. He moved to head further into the forest, listening to the noises should be encounter a wild pokemon, or other trainers. As he walked he soon heard whining. As he moved closer he saw a man on the ground with a Decidueye with him. Nanji sucked behind a tree as he watched the situation, so far it just seemed like a trainer not wanting to be in the forest anymore. Nanji moved out from behind the tree, as he cautiously walked over to the pair. "Hey, are you okay," he asked the two. "Do you need help?". |

"Gin, gin, why are you ignoring me-" Shen immediately perked up when someone spoke. He sat up quickly and snapped his attention towards the other trainer "Oh! Finally!" he jumped to his feet and held out a hand towards the other with a dramatic flourish "I thought I'd be stuck in this forest alone forever, you're a lifesaver!" his Decidueye was silent, but you could practically feel the exasperated energy coming off the Pokemon in waves "I was here looking for a Pokemon, and I get lost. Can you believe it?" he didn't mention that said Pokemon was a dangerous ghost type, but Shen was the type to forget little details like that.

Nanji-Pan Forest-Shen Nanji gave him a smile, as he took his hand. "It can happen, the forest is rather big. They really should give a more accurate scale on the maps," he said. Nanji had gotten lost in the forest before, especially when he first went through, it had taken him a week to find his way out. "A Pokemon though," he asked curiously. "Could I help in any way? If that is okay?" He glanced to the Decidueye. "Your Pokemon seems kinda...annoyed?" Was that the word to describe the feeling it was giving off? |

Hawkeyes258 I wanted to ask, but could I make a research assistant for Professor Olive? I was thinking of having him focus on the movement and study of Legendary Pokemon since there are so many present within the region. If not that's fine :3 )

Shen shook the others hand eagerly, happy to see someone else. He may be a ghost trainer, but he enjoyed the company of others. When asked about the Pokemon he was tracking, and his own Pokemon he said "Gin? He's just like that, don't worry about it." he patted his off colored partner on the shoulder. The man twisted the rings on his gloved fingers and continued speaking, "I was told of a strong ghost type Pokemon causing issues in the forest. A few trainers getting injured, some found after being lost in the forest for weeks, and even some wild Pokemon found knocked out."
Remembering that he really should explain further Shen added "I'm Shen, by the way. I hunt down dangerous spirits and take care of any issues they cause within the region." he was also technically part of the elite four, but he personally enjoyed his other job so much more and rarely mentioned that fact.

Nanji-Pan Forest-Shen "I'm Nanji, it is nice to meet you When," he said. He smiled at the Pokemon, he know knew as Gin. His eyes lit up when Shen disclosed his job. "That sounds so fun!" He hadn't ever meet someone that did this kind of thing. "You must be the only one that does this. But as for the ghost Pokemon. Don't they normally come out more at night," he asked with a small tilt of his head, as he thought it over. Though if what Shen was saying was true, maybe the Pokemon was confident to be coming out during the day, or maybe the shade the forest provided enough for it to feel comfortable being out in the sun. |

Now, any normal and responsible Elite Four member would not bring in a random trainer into something dangerous like this. But Shen simple did not think before he did things "Under normal circumstances yes, and that could be the case for this one as well. But there have been reports of activity during the day as well. The issue is that the attacks aren't centered around a single area." he pulled out his cracked phone and showed Nanji the map on it "It does seem to attack trainers on the safe path though, which is why I want it taken care of before it get's dark again. Hence why I'm getting lost in the forest in the middle of the day." he laughed.
"You've been in the forest for a while. Have you seen or felt anything?" he asked, tilting his head. The talismans on his earrings shifted slightly with the movement. If Nanji was here, he must at least have a reliable team. And if he'd been here lately he might have seen something that Shen hadn't yet.

"Yeah, a Vulpix," Elia said with a proud smile. He glanced at the Sobble before he continued. "Not sure about letting her out now though. She's a little grumpy around water types and so far she only tolerates Lutra." He sat the Oshawott down again and chuckled. "Looks like we both have a chance at the gym. I mean, none of our Pokémon are weak to fire. They'll stand no chance against Lutra. And Hiro doesn't look weak either." Next to him his Oshawott looked a little sceptical but Elia decided to pay it no mind. Maybe beating the gym leader wouldn't be as easy as he imagined but there was no point in worrying about it now. With a grin he turned back to Charlotte. "I guess a second Pokémon wouldn't be a bad idea but hey, it's only the first gym and you have the type advantage. How hard can it be?"

I'll probably have Charlotte either lose, or go and get herself another Pokemon beforehand klajdflaksjdf I have a team tentatively picked out for her, and I think a Shinx would be relatively easy to get for a second Pokemon haha) Also, for the ghost Pokemon I was thinking of having it be a big ol' Runerigus, what do you think :0 )
Shen | Pan Forest | with Nanji
"Hmmm, well that's good to know! I'll avoid searching over there for now." he looked down at his phone again and mentally crossed off the locations he'd put off checking. The path through the forest was long, and hunting down a single ghost type wasn't going to be easy on his own. Normally ghost types would have a location they were connected to. Whether that be a place they wanted to protect, or a place that held some importance to their past. The type overall was still very unusual and interesting. It's connections to the human soul were even more so. Shen loved learning and looking into the mystery ghost type Pokemon held.
He shrugged and put his phone back into his pocket "Well, I suppose I should continue searching. I've made so much noise here if it had been here it surely would have run or attacked." Shen brushed off the dirt and leaves from his clothing as if to prove his point. Should Nanji want to come with, Shen wouldn't stop him.

"Yeah! Hiro may be a bit nervous, but he can hold his own." she nodded. Charlotte looked thoughtful before saying "We should watch each others matches!! Cheer each other on. It would be fun." the trainer fixed Elia with a hopeful look. Charlotte may be more interested in the undiscovered Pokemon of the region, but she was nearly equally as transfixed with watching and participating in battles. The gym battles was just one way of satiating that hunger.

Ooo I like that!! I totally see that being a ghost pokemon that would attack in the day) Nanji-Pan Forest-Shen Nanji smiled again to Shen. He shrugged as he observed the phone screen that Shen was looking at. He decided to tag along, he had no real plans at the moment so why not help out. "Where are you thinking of searching next," he asked curiously, shift his gaze to the ghost hunter. "I can help out as much as I can. Cause two people being on the search can get results faster ya know?" He gave a small nervous smile, he didn't mind if the hunter refused his help in the end, it seemed like an important job he was conducting. |
