Okay so, he was pretty sure he couldn’t make it to a hundred, but he was close, so he could round up. “Is-al” he paused, quickly realizing he couldn’t talk with this many crammed in his mouth and tipped his head down, mouth open as he let the Doritos spill out onto the floor. It was kinda gross but he couldn’t swallow that many even if he wanted to. “Anyways, as I was saying, it’s all about strategy,” he explained with a grin as he wiped his mouth and looked back over to the other two guys.

Noah continued to watch the guy even as he spit out the Doritos into the floor. The mess wasn’t something to worry about, not when this wasn’t his house and this was a frat party. There would be worse messes than this one. ”What’s your strategy? Do you-“
”Teach us!” Crawley piped up, reaching over to grab at the spat out pile of Doritos. Noah wasn’t going to stop his drunk friend from taking some. Sure, they had just been in some stranger’s mouth, but a Dorito was a Dorito.
Ives blinked, watching as the drunk guy went to pick up the Doritos. Good thing Norman wasn’t here, he’d say that’s gross. “Oh strategy?” He repeated. “You just kinda stack them on top of each other and then start to stack them against the inside of your cheeks until there’s no room left, it’s pretty simple,” he admitted, shrugging slightly.

Had the guy not puffed his cheeks out Crawley more than likely wouldn’t have heard his advice since he was concentrating so hard. Taking a deep breath through his nose, he then puffed out his cheeks, stacking more Doritos into his mouth.

Shoot for a hundred. That was Crawley’s goal. He was determined, continuing to shove more Doritos into his mouth using the technique.
Unfortunately, though, either Crawley messed up or his mouth just wasn’t as big as the other guy’s, but after so many chips he started to feel that same choking sensation from earlier, knowing that this meant the end of Chip Shove pt2 for him.
Ives had excitedly cheered the guy on up until he stopped, that’s where his excitement faded a little. “Well uh, not a hundred, but you still did good,” he complimented, reaching out to pat the guy’s back. If he was sober he probably would’ve gotten there.

Once again Crawley found himself spitting up a mouthful of chips. He sighed in defeat, staring down at the soggy Dorito pile. "I'll just have to work on it," he told more to himself than anything else, but he did appreciate the pat on the back.
Ives nodded reassuringly. “You’ll get there,” he told him easily and paused, glancing between the two guys. “I’m Ives by the way, I live across the street, this is Beau, he lives there too,” he introduced and patted Beau on the bsck.
Noah and Crawley, Ives could remember that. “It’s nice to meet you, do you guys go to Frontier too?” He asked, voice raised to speak over the loud music of the party. Ives didn’t personally go, but most of his buddies did.

It was Noah that answered first. ”I don’t,” he responded simply with a shrug before nodding over to Crawley. ”Crawley does though.”
Crawley nodded in response before turning a quizzical look over at Ives. ”I don’t think I’ve seen you around school.” Frontier was rather large of a school, but if there was one thing Crawley was good at it was meeting people and remembering them, even if he wasn’t completely sober.
Ives blinked. “Oh, yeah, no, I don’t go to school, but Beau and our other roommates do,” he explained and gestured towards Beau, who awkwardly waved from where he was. “I just supply really awesome music at parties,” he added with a smile, patting the guitar slung across his back.

The discussion probably should have stayed on school considering this was a college party and all, but both Crawley and Noah snapped their attention to the guitar. ”Music?” The chimed at the same time, eyes wide and glistening with curiosity.
Ives grinned at their excitement and eagerly nodded his head. “Yeah! I play the guitar, I also sing but I’m better at the guitar,” he admitted, pointing to Alberto - his guitar - with a grin. “Beau and I are part of a band!”
Ives shrugged and rubbed the back of his head. “Um, mostly covers, we play a bit of everything, we do a lot of eighties covers, uh sometimes I can get them to do country songs but usually that’s just me,” he admitted. “We have a few original songs but they’re kinda cringe, we wrote them years ago...”

Everything else to Noah didn't matter as soon as Ives said 'country'.
He straightened up and gave the other guy a wide smile of excitement, giving a little wiggle like a dog would when wanting to express joy. "You like country, too?" He questioned. It was hard to find other people who enjoyed that genre of music. Sure, there was Crawley - he had introduced Noah to it all - but beyond that, Noah had yet to find somebody else who actually listened to country music without wanting to say something negative about it.
Ives grinned, feeling a little sheepish. “Heh yeah, I love it, it’s my favorite,” he admitted, glancing towards Beau to make sure he was still there. “I know a lot of country songs, if you want we can go across the street to our place and I can show you some?” He suggested.

Screw the party, Noah knew exactly where he needed to be.
Grabbing ahold of Crawley, he nodded in response to Ives's question. "Yes, take us there," Noah practically demanded, leaving no room for argument. He could tell Crawley was excited to, feeling him jittering against his side. It could also be because he was drunk still, but Noah knew Crawley was just as excited about this new discovery as he was.
Ives nodded excitedly, getting into the zone. “Right, let’s go, we’re literally just across the street, we’re still figuring out a cool house name but it’s a lot more quiet over there,” Ives explained, gesturing for them to follow him as he started to weave his way out of the crowds of people, Beau quietly following after him.
Hurrying along, Ives ran out of the house and towards there own, stopping once he saw Norman at the porch.
“Okay why are there four of you now?” Norman asked, brow raised. “You better not be coming here for hookups-“
Ives quickly cut him off. “Oh no, dude you know I’m not like that, these two are Noah and Crawley, they were at the party and they like country music, I was gonna play some for them, can they come in?” He asked excited.
Norman hesitated for a moment and then nodded, stepping back to let them in. “Alright, I’m Norman, come on in, fair warning, Thad’s in a mood.”

While Noah was friendly, he was also aware that this Norman guy seemed somewhat suspicious. He supposed it was fair - he was just some random dude from a party, after all. Noah wasn’t going to question it, he’d let the guy have his suspicions so long as Noah and Crawley got to have their fun.
He followed on after Ives, pulling a somewhat wobbly-legged Crawley behind him. ”We’ll keep our distance and be on our best behavior,” Noah responded simply. He’d leave this Thad guy alone and do his own thing. Besides, he was more interested in the music than the other people right now.
Once that was settled, Ives hurried inside. “Right, I’ll make sure not to bug Thad too much,” he reassured Norman. “Alright guys, got any requests?” He asked, turning back to look at Noah, Crawley, Norman, and Beau, a wide grin on his face as he sat down on the couch and gestured for them to come over.

As soon as Ives asked if they had any requests, Noah and Crawley looked at each other with wide-eyed excitement and then turned that gaze toward Ives. "Can you do any Florida Georgia Line?" They asked in unison. Sure, that was mostly a pop country band, but it was still country, so therefore it counted.
Ives thought about it for a moment and then nodded as he strummed his car, checking to make sure it was properly tuned. “I can try yeah, how about Sippin’ on Fire? I’ve always liked that one,” he decided with s small nod.

Oh man, this was exciting. Ever since Crawley had introduced him to country music, Florida Georgia Line had been Noah's favorite, and it was the band he always went to when he needed to listen to some good music. "Yeah, that's a good one!" Noah nodded, ready to hear Ives's cover.
