That could work! kinda like what happened with skyclan but there is a previously established group that the clan cats are essentially just trying to convert into another clan?

Yeah exactly. And maybe the loners are kind of resistant to the idea becuase they like it the way they are. Or the loner group could be split between wanting to be a clan or not wanting to be a clan.

I think the split idea sound better, that way we could see some conflict with a real threat. We could maybe have some clan cats who don't like the idea either and both groups kind of have an issue with inside threats and whatnot.

I've got an oc or two that'll probably be my main two characters I use in the clan (they're brothers) and as for the rest of the cats, the minor roles we can always just list them so we don't completely lose track of who exists. As far as clan names go, I was trying to think of something that seemed kind of lonely, given the fact that they are the only clan at the time, but I'm drawing a blank on something that fits. If you want, I can give you the rundown or just a character sheet on my two characters.

Hollowclan could work as a name. I have one character I was thinking for the loner group called Wasp/Waspbite. I would love a run down of your characters

Hollowclan works for me. I was also wondering if it would work to have the loners just recently relocating to the territory and the clan is okay with it as long as they become a clan and obey the warrior code.

Flamepelt is a ginger tabby tom with a lighter golden patch on his chest and belly. He's got a larger, more muscular body than other cats, making him a fearsome opponent in combat, though his hunting skills are sub par. He is overly confident in his fighting abilities, which tends to get him in over his head occasionally. He is altruistic and would rather put himself in harm's way than his clan members.
Brackentail is Flamepelt's brother, though you wouldn't tell it by looking at him. Brackentail has dark brown fur with even darker stripes across his back. He has a skinnier frame, making him an excellent hunter. Brackentail is a bit more introverted than his brother, though he's been known to crack a joke or two every now and again. He will often pick up extra hunting patrols to be by himself, especially when he's angry or irritated. He isn't very confrontational, but will fight back if pushed too far.

sounds good. I figured one of us could have a character as the clan leader and the other could be the rogue leader, that way we can both have characters opposite each other. reverse with deputy/second in command.

Sounds good. Probably the same for med cat/ cat who knows about herbs. Do we want like a basic forest territory or something different?
This is Waspbite
Waspbite- a golden brown tom with slightly darker stripes around his body. His ears sre dark brown as well as a spot on his muzzle, circles around his eyes, and a fluff of fur around his neck and down his chest. He has amber eyes and his tail is fluffy and golden brown except for its black tip. Despite his possibly grumpy appearance and fierce name he is a nice cat. He is a giant flirt and tries to be the life of the party.

A basic forest territory works if you're fine with it. We could also have a bordering twolegplace similar to the forest territory in the first arc. We could possibly have a medicine cat sub-plot involving the loners not having a medicine cat, hence the clan medicine cat would have to train them.
Looks good! I'm debating whether or not to just make Flamepelt the Hollowclan leader or if I should make someone completely new.

Basic forest is my favorite becuase all the basic prey works in the territory. I like the idea of the medicine cat subplot. I think Flamepelt would make a great leader but I know sometimes its easier to make a new character to be a leader.
I have a whole personal den filled with my ocs and I'm still transferring some that I made from notebooks into that den. So for me its mostly deciding which characters to use.

Alright, so basic forest it is! I have another oc somewhere that I'll try to dig up, but it was pretty much another littermate of Flamepelt and Brackentail's. (dig up because the last time i used her I ended up killing her off lol) That way I can change their character dynamic up and should let me transition flamepelt to leader easier. I was also thinking maybe the first encounter between both groups could be a situation that ends up killing a current clan leader and Flamepelt was deputy, but I don't know. I don't want to have too many subplots that the main plot gets drowned out. I figured my second in command of the loners could be the one leading the cats opposed to becoming a clan, since he'd probably have some say in things already, being second in command. I'll try to get the second in command and Flame and Bracken's sister up soon.

I've only killed off one character ever becuase I love my ocs too much to kill them off/ my rps don't last more than a couple months and I don't have time to kill anyone off.
I'm trying to decide if I want to use a sibling trio with a med cat in it. I could make them older apprentices or newly named warriors. I've only ever used them as kits.
I like the idea of killing off the leader but would it make too much animosity between the groups for the clan to want to help the loners if they are the reason the leader dies.

I feel you on that. I don't tend to use her that much, so I didn't really have a problem with it. lol.
If you want to, go for it. I think apprentices would go better, just because it could give us the ability to have mentors and whatnot. build intercharacter relationships.
What if it was an accidental situation, say a dog attacks a couple loners while they're unknowingly trespassing, hunting party with the leader in it happens upon them, try to help, leader dies, one of the loners save one of the clan cats, making it more of a mutual hardship rather than resorting to playing the blame game.

Okay I will make them apprentices then. That will mean that you have the main medicine cat then because one of my 3 is a medicine cat apprentice. That means twice as many cats to train the loners though so i guess its a plus.
I like that idea mutual hardship is a very doable story line.

Here's the apprentices and their mom. I usually say their dad was a loner that didn't make it to the clan when he and the mom tried to join. She doesn't find out she is pregnant with the kits until after he is dead.
Snowdapple- White she-cat with gray spots ringed with black like a snow leopard and bright blue eyes. She is a very caring cat. She is a queen and loves being around kits. Her whole life's purpose was to end up in the nursery.
Gazepaw- Silver tom with startling blue eyes. He wants to be a medicine cat and to care for his clan. He has no interest in having a mate and loves being in his den surrounded by the many smells of his herbs. If a cat complains too much when he treats them he may become snappy.
Wishpaw- Calico she-cat with silver eyes. She is fun-loving and outgoing. She loves to chase after anything that moves and excites a little too easily. Her excitable nature makes her an eager learner but she has a hard time focusing.
Coalpaw- Black she-cat with dark green eyes. She is an aloof and quiet cat. She less interested playing games than most cats. She would rather watch others and ponder about what they are doing with their lives. Her reserved nature can make her seem cold but she doesn't mind if it means others leave her alone. She didn't speak for the first time until after her apprentice ceremony.

Rosefur is the sister of Flamepelt and Brackentail. She has white fur with light tan flecks along her back, belly and legs. She is on the thinner side, though she is bigger than Brackentail. She is compassionate and loyal to a fault. She tends to stick her neck out for her brothers, though it's often Flamepelt getting himself into trouble.
Red is the second in command, Waspbite's right paw. He's a dark reddish brown tom with a deep scar across the right side of his muzzle. He isn't the most diplomatic of cats, rather resorting to blunt honesty or even threats. He's a relatively stubborn individual, though he tends to be right most of the time. He often helps Waspbite make up his mind on tough decisions, though it's not guaranteed his advice is always the most beneficial.

Cloudear is the Hollowclan Medicine cat and the mentor of Gazepaw. Cloudear is a light grey she-cat with a white splotch on her chest and belly, as well as her paws. She's very caring and always willing to help the injured or sick. She tends to get lost in her own thoughts and occasionally leave camp without telling any cat where she's going. She has faith in her clanmates and takes it hard when another cat dies, as she feels as if she let the clan down. The first patient she ever lost was her own sister, cherrypaw.

Heres a random warrior that could be added to the clan. And then two loners
Crowflight- long-furred, black tom eirh blue eyes and a white tip to his fluffy tail. Soft-spoken but resilient. He is a steady source of kindness in the nursery. He has a soft spot for the younger kits and would usually rather organize games or "warrior lessons" for them than play with other cats his age. Though he is determined to serve his clan as well as he possibly can, he often finds himself looking enviously at the role of the queens and worrying over who will take care of the kits while he is training.
Spider- A charcoal bengel with dark amber eyes. He tends to try and act mysterious rather than overly bubbly like other cats. He can be caring but it takes alot to get close to him.
Web-A beautiful charcoal bengal with amber eyes. She is very lithe. She is quiet and calm even when others get on her nerves. It can be hard to tell if she is upset because of this. She likes to get sassy and mess with others as well.
Also because he is a giant flirt I could see Waspbite having like a Harem of mates. And multiple litters of kits he is father to lol.

Okay. I'm looking at some of my old rps for ideas of landmarks like this one
The Moon Mushrooms: Deep in the forest there is a small clearing surrounded by brambles. Inside this clearing there is a rotten tree stump about 4 cats wide ringed in mushrooms. When the moon is in the right spot the mushroom ring glows and whoever stands in the middle of it can speak to starclan.
