"Thanks for following me and burying Momma" she said a little quieter not wanting to seem greatful of the help or anything. |

The tom gave a light laugh. "It isn't up to them what your name is though. If you want to go by just Doe then you should be allowed to do so." He glanced around for a few moments before giving a small sigh. "You hungry? After everything you've gone through I'd be surprised if you weren't."

Doe sighed and looked up at Scarabpaw. "I don't want anyone to treat me differently. They already think I'm the mean kit with the dead mother." She sighed again and shook her head. "I'm not hungry but Fawn will be when she wakes up. She turned her head and gently started to groom her sister.

Scarabpaw - Med Cat Den - Doe and Fawn
The tom shook his head softly. "See, I think only Dandelionnose thinks of you as that. Barely anyone else has met you really and let me tell ya, there are a lot of cats in this clan who would get to know you before deciding anything about you." He stood up now. "I'll be right back." The tom then left, padding out of the den and over to the fresh-kill pile where he picked up a squirrel and a vole before returning to the kits. "Do you two like vole or squirrel more? Or have you not tried them before?" He settled down next to the nest as he spoke, both pieces of prey in front of him. He'd eat whichever piece Doe didn't pick. |

Doe and Fawn with Scarabpaw
Doe stopped licking Fawn as Scarabpaw came back with prey. "I think vole. Momma never brought back squirrels." She took the vole and set it beside her sister. She took a small bite and contemplated the taste of it before swallowing.
Fawn woke up to the smell of prey. She sniffed hungrily at the vole before noticing Scarabpaw. She hid behind Doe and watched him. "Hello" she said quietly. She then took a big bite of her food and purred. "Mmmm" was all she could manage before taking another bite. She ate as though she were starved though she had a plump little kit belly.

The apprentice nodded in greeting to the kit as she woke up. "Hello. My name is Scarabpaw." He leaned down and took a bite out of the squirrel, following it up with two more before he turned his full attention back to the two kits. "I was telling your sister about how if you two wanted to simply go by Doe and Fawn instead of Doekit and Fawnkit then you could. Would just have to talk to Nightstar about it first." |

Doe and Fawn with Scarabpaw
Doe took another thoughtful bite of vole. She definitely wasn't hungry but she knew she had to eat to keep up her strength. She nodded at Scarabpaw's statement. However she wasn't expecting what her sister said next.
"I like the name Fawnkit." She purred and took a few more bites of the vole. "I want to fit in here and play with all the nice cats who are trying to help us." She looked pleadingly at Doe trying to convince her to let them stay and become part of the clan.

Dawnflower heard the Fawn's statement and perked her ears in interest. She could tell That Doe didn't like the idea. "You two should probably make up your minds now, since you'll both be apprentices soon anyways." Dawnflower chimed in, stepping closer to the two kits and apprentice.

The tom frowned slightly when the other came up, pushing the kits to rush. "I don't think they should have to decide right now. Or even agree on their decision. If Fawn wants to be called Fawn kit then so be it. But if Doe wants to be just Doe then she should be able to do that as well. Plus, they don't have to make that decision right now so just calm down and back off of them. They've gone through a lot in just a few hours." Just like I did. And then here came all of you trying to pry into my life and forcing be to make decisions. I won't let you all do that to these kits too.

Dawnflower blinked in surprise at the apprentice's tone. "Scarabpaw, You're the one who needs to calm down, okay? I was only saying that they need to think about it." She meowed firmly, twitching her tail in annoyance. I understand that Scarabpaw understands how these two feel, but I will not let him act like that to me. SHe thought to herself.

"I'm perfectly calm though. It's just that instead of forcing these two to make a decision right this moment like you all did with me, you should be letting them rest. I'm talking to them because I'm trying to make them comfortable. I'm not giving them blind pity or being blatantly rude like almost every other cat in this clan would be." He stood up now, his fur laying flat and his gaze even, showing that he really was completely calm. "So, if you were asking them about something then ask. But with what you said you were actually telling them that they have to make a decision when really they don't." |

Doe looked surprised by Scarabpaw sticking up for them and wondered what the other had been through. "I see where you're coming from Fawn. I don't really want to stick out. Not that I want to stay here forever." She made a sour face at the thought of staying with the clan for the rest of her life.
Fawn purred and licked her sister's ear when she agreed to be called Doekit. She looked happily at Dawnflower and Scarabpaw. She then turned and finished the vole up except for two more bites ehich she pushed to Doe.

Dawnflower sighed at Scarabpaw's words. "Alright I understand, and I apologize if I gave you two the idea that you have to decide on your names right now." She mewed kindly, sitting down to watch the two kits.
Hollowsky rested his muzzle on the side of Eveningfern's nest happily. "Chirppaw is doing such a great job." He breathed out happily, pride shining in his eyes. He smiled at Eveningfern. "I can't wait until our new kits arrive." He purred licking Eveningfern's cheek lovingly.

Scarabpaw gave an approving nod of his head at Dawnflower's words before settling down beside the nest once more and finishing up his squirrel save for two bites. He pushed the squirrel toward the mollies, a smile on his face. "Go ahead and try this. You'll love it. Squirrel is my favorite." He didn't understand fully why he cared for these two so much, especially Doekit since he had spent more time with her, but at the moment he didn't feel he really needed to understand.

Doekit and Fawnkit with Scarabpaw and Dawnflower
Doekit leaned over and finished the vole that Fawnkit had left. She licked her lips and yawned. When Scarabpaw offered a bite of squirrel she almost shook her head to decline. Instead she leaned forward and took a bite. She chewed intensely letting ghe flavors sink in. "Thats not bad. I think I like vole better though."
Fawnkit leaned forward too and quickly took the last bite of squirrel. "Mmm. Yummy. I like it a lot." She said smacking her lips together happily. She then began licking herself clean and humming happily. "Thanks Scarabpaw." She acknowledged Dawnflower's comment with a nod.

The tom gave a small chuckle at Fawnkit, astonished by how different in personality she was from her sister. "I'm glad ya like it Fawnkit. As for the taste, well, it's an acquired taste. Squirrels have a more nutty flavor than most other prey and that can be a bit weird for most cat's tastebuds. I was raised on it though, so it reminds me of home when I eat it." He dug a small hole and buried the bones of the two finished meals, patting it down very gently. He had done the same thing at the grave when Doekit and him had buried Flora. The tom had made sure the dirt was packed down well but he had done so with gentle movements, ones that were made to be gentle consciously.

Doekit blinked sleepily but nodded at Scarabpaw's statement. "I guess I'm not too nutty for that flavor." She laughed at her joke. She continued to doze off feeling a little safer than she had before in the camp.
Fawnkit brightened at Scarabpaw's words. "What was your home like" she asked scooting toward the tom. She was a curious little bean. She already felt trust for the cats that Doekit took a while to feel okay with.

Scarabpaw stiffened a bit at the kit's question. He had never spoken about anything from his past to anyone, not how the land looked, who his parents were, how he had ended up here, none of it. But this kit had just been pulled out of her world and she wanted to know about his and who was he to deny her at least some semblance of his old home. "Okay, I'll tell you about the land I come from." He moved closer, curling up next to both of the kits as he spoke. "But only to you okay? It'll be our secret story." |

Leafshine- Outside Nightstar's den in WhisperClan's campLeafshine sat down beside Nightstar's den. I hope Nightstar has been doing alright since- No I won't think about him. "Nightstar? Nightstar it's me, Leafshine. I wanted to speak with you." I hope we can stop whoever has been attacking our cats over the past moon. I would lay down my life for my Clanmates if it was needed. They would do the same.

Mist- Out hunting, WhisperClan's terrtory
Mist wondered around WhisperClan's terrtory, sniffing out for prey. Everything is going according to the plan. We will have revenge on these fox-hearts soon for what they did. Suddenly, a noice in the bushes alerted Mist, she then raced for the bush, and saw a mouse. Mist raced after the mouse grabbing it and when it squealed she bite down on it's neck, killing it. A nice tasty mouse for me. She thought.

Needlekit- WhisperClan's nursery- Soulspirit and Needlekit's littermates
Needlekit was curled up at Soulspirit's belly, sleeping. Needlekit dreamed that everything was normal again and her father hadn't left the Clan. I miss father. Why did he have to leave us? Needlekit woke up and yawned, bareing her tiny teeth. Father will come back soon, I just know it.

Doekit (asleep) and Fawnkit
Doekit had been fighting off sleep but could not win. She dozed off and started to talk in her sleep. She said "Momma momma please come back. She started to cry in her sleep.
Fawnkit looked up at Scarabpaw with excitement. She sat up in the nest and watched him with wide eyes. "I won't even tell Doekit." She promised looking over at her sleeping sister and licked her head comfortingly. She sat very still and then decided to lay back down instead.
Darkriver- hunting- open
Darkriver was trotting through the trees and scenting the air. She smelled a vole and started off towards it. She pounced and caught it between her claws. She bit down and felt its neck break and sighed. She buried it where she caught it and moved on scenting the air again.

alright I'll send him back over now) Tigerspots-Camp->Elder's Den-Cardinal(mentioned) Tigerspots noticed the leader was speaking with the deputy, so he gave up and headed for the den again. It would just have to wait, he figured, though he was not happy over it. He grabbed a mouse on the way back just to get the she cat to be quiet about being hungry. He would bring something for the queens later. He spotted that Cardinal was asleep and debated on leaving the mouse and heading off to tend to his duties as a warrior. |

Cardinal - Elder's Den - With Tigerspots
The she-cat had been sleeping soundly at first, dreaming of when she was just s few moons old and her mother would sing her a lullaby to help her sleep at night. Upon falling asleep then though she would immediately wake up again. This would be the night when her mother and her would try to escape and she would begin to relive the memory. Her legs kicked out in her sleep while she ran side by side with her mother. A soft groan when she was rammed into from the side by one of the cats, her breathing quickening as she fought him off and her mother jumped in. The dream haunted her sleep every night, and tonight was no different. She began to cry out in her sleep, muttering "momma, momma no" as tears showed themselves at the corners of her closed eyes.

Tigerspots-Elder's Den-Cardinal Tigerpsots frowned a she sat the mouse down on the ground. Should he wake her up? Was it smart to wake what was basically a stranger up? He sighed, if he didn't who knows how loud she would get, and with the den being empty it would definietely raise alarms in the clan. Though he wouldn't admit to the last reason which was that he felt bad if he just left a cat to be in what seemed to be an awful nightmare. He poked her with his paw a few times, and when that showed no results, he nudged her head. |
