i'm really new to weight lifting and regularly going to the gym, but i've been consistent for the past couple weeks! i was wondering if anyone that regularly lifts weights could give any advice on how to improve, how to do some stretches, and using weird machines.
my pr for bench press is 85 and my squat is 115. idk my pr for other things like seated row and leg press bc i just feel out a good weight to start at and its different every time
id like to do more cardio, but i rolled my ankle a few weeks ago and its still healing; i try to take it easy whenever i do legs

Honestly I've never lifted weights in my life but what you can bench press is more than I weigh so good job! However I've got no tips I'm mostly just posting because your thread's about to be on the second page so this will bump it up before it gets completely drowned out. Hopefully someone who knows what they're talking about will comment soon. Good luck!

I saw this when posted and immediately was guilty that I hadn't done my routine the last four days so I promptly left lmao
I don't do any heavies yet because, honestly? I don't know anyone who knows how to do it properly and I have no one to spot and I think I would probably hurt myself more than it would help. The heaviest weights I use are 20lbs and those are mostly just extra weight for stretches and squats n stuff.
I've mostly been doing core work because I've always had horrible core. I've been working back up to my usual set after having rona this winter, which really knocked me down for over a month. It's horrible because now it's back to the two-week-streak then week-break pattern that I had FINALLY broken this fall :/
