She shot her an apologetic glance as she passed. Hopefully it wasn't like that the whole time she had stopped by... She waved her tail in farewell and turned to the camps entrance again, leading the way for Pebblepaw and Eaglestar to follow. Glancing at her leader while pushing her way through the camps entrance, she shook her head, letting him know not to bombard them with questions at the moment, and to allow them to rest. A grim look passed from her face, letting her leader know exactly how stressful their journey had been. She sighed as she entered her camp. The herbs were olow, little dust bunnies were sitting on some of the little opening of the wall where they had dug to put the store of herbs, and it smelled stail. It's amazing what one night away from this place could do. She shuddered as a thought of the whole camp being vacant, something terrible happening to the clan that would cause all the cats to leave their beloved home forever. Being lost in her drowsy thoughts, Pebblepaws voice ripped her back into reality. He wanted to share his dream already? She twitched her tail to let him know she heard him, and turned to the herbs. They would both need something to ease the ache in their paws. With some Dock leaves in her mouth, she set a small pile in front of her apprentice and chewed up her own, licking the juices on her paws to ease the pads. "If you are ready, you may tell me. Then together, after we discuss it, we can go to Eaglestar together to warn him." She mewed softly. This was a big thing, for Starclan to tell her apprentice and not her. This would be Pebblepaws burden to bare, and Cherryfrost would only be here to support him in ways she could.

Frostpuddle was curled up in her nest, her nose under her large fluffy tail. With Gladeclans medicine cats gone, Featherblossom was having to come in to check on everyone, and she desired to have no part in it. She knew the tensions were high with the clans because they had won sunning rocks back, but she couldn't understand the absolute hostility from a few cats that seemed to be directed at the opposite clans Medicine Cat. Regardless, she wanted no part of it. She enjoyed her peaceful little bubble of quiet. Just as the cream molly was about to cross over the bridge into the dream world, a familiar, warm scent wafted into the den. Darkfire. She thought to herself. She lifted her head and squinted in the dimness. She had grown somewhat fond of the large warrior, but did her best to hide it, though now it was becoming a little difficult to hide it from him. She always tried to keep her tone sharp to keep him away from her, but it never seemed to work in her favor, or did it? She purred lightly as he called her name. "Sure." She mewed as he asked her to hunt with him but frowned when he turned away before he could hear her reply. The fresh kill pile was a little low since most of the cats refused to leave the camp while Featherblossom was here, not wanting to leave the camp vulnerable to her. "Honestly, it seems like the clan would rather starve than leave a Medicine Cat here to do her duty. At least she knows her place." She mewed absent mindedly as she made her way into the clearing, not realizing the large dark tom was halfway across the camp already. She sighed and trotted up to his side, catching his irritated look at Splashfury as they passed. She decided to keep her thoughts to herself on that one. Those two were always together, and it bothered her. A lot. As they left the camp, she sniffed the air. Eaglestar, Cherryfrost and Pebblepaw were close. And Cherry and Pebble needed a bath, badly. She cringed hard. She turned to Darkfire, her amber eyes now boring into his, "So, where are we going today?" She asked, sitting down for a moment.

Speckpaw had learned not to speak while Moonstar works through her thoughts. Commenting on something usually turned into her rambling for hours upon hours about what happened. While it was good to talk about it, there was always a point when it became to much and Moonstar got too aggressive. "Moonstar." Speckpaw mewed gently. "Sometimes Starclan allows this to happen to let the clans know what another cats path is that they have chosen, so we may either guide them in the right way, or know how to handle them in the future." The little curly tom drew his tongue over her poofy fur once more, tilting his head back to release it from the grip of his tongue. She shook his head. He would definitely need something to keep him from having a hairball later, her fur was so long compared to his own. "That being said, there was nothing any warrior or leader could have done to stop him from doing what he did. And you did protect your clan, by sacrificing one of your own lives so someone else's was not taken." He had told her this many times before, but sometimes her memory failed her. It was normal with how much stress she was put under these days and totally understandable. All too soon, Featherblossoms scent, although tained with Gladeclans, wafed into his nose. "Its Featherblossom." He mewed quickly. He knew the anxiety Moonstar got when she came back due to her carrying the scent of the cats who killed her. He poked his head out of the leader cove and tried to mew a welcome, but stopped when his eyes met hers. She was mad, she was tired, she was done with Gladeclan. He sighed. "Since when did I become an emotional support cat." He mewed silently. He looked back at Moonstar, unsure if she would let Featherblossom into the den smelling the way she did, but wanting to make sure there wasn't something he needed to do to help her unwind. "This medicine cat thing was really hard sometimes." He thought.

γββββ-«« Pebblepaw Location-Gladeclan Camp With- Cherryfrost
This was it. This was the moment he would be telling his mentor about the trouble's coming to the way of both Gladeclan and Willowclan. What would they do to prevent this.? Was there a way to stop what Starclan was sure would fall upon them.? He could tell his mentor was distracted by the lack of herbs, or the amount of stale herbs that filled their den. Yet, it was clear he caught her attention when he mentioned his dream with her. He gratefully took the dock leaves from her, chewing his own up and smearing the juices along his pads, sighing as they took the twinge of pain he felt from the journey. Once the pair had dealt with their own aches, he was aware of the presence of Frostrose, as the black and white molly set a large squirrel in front of the medicine cat's. She dipped her head before turning and walking back out of their den, clearly not wanting to disturb them. Meowing his thanks after the warrior, Pebblepaw took a couple small bites, figuring out how he wanted to word things to Cherryfrost. After he swallowed what he was chewing, the little white and gray tom shoved the rest of the squirrel to his mentor, before curling his legs under his body and taking a deep breath to begin.
"Let me start from the beginning." He twitched his gray ears, before continuing, "It started with me being at the river. Except, it wasn't the river anymore. It had dried up and everything was dead. The fish, the plants and grass at the edge of the river. The bed just dried and cracked." He shuddered as he spoke, eyes clouding as the vision grew in his mind again, "I knew something was wrong and I worked my way to the camp..Only..what I found was a nightmare in itself. Our clan, our family, lifeless, scattered all over the camp. Death was a heavy stench in the air. And I could feel the exhaustion, the hunger, the thirst, that they all died from." Swallowing hard, the apprentice looked up at Cherryfrost with wide and sad eyes. He took a moment to regain his senses and shake of the feeling of despair, before he would continue.
"That is when Redstorm came and spoke with me. She informed me that trouble was coming to both clans. And that the only way to solve this, was for Gladeclan and Willowclan to come together and work out a solution. She wanted me to remind you that Starclan is always with us." Taking a deep breath, Pebblepaw tucked his tail close to his side, exhaustion falling over him once more ,"The prophecy. She told me it again. 'While the Thunder forms around the glade, the fern shall rise among the Willows.'" »»ββββ-γβ
γββββ-«« Darkfire Location-Gladeclan Territory With- Frostpuddle
There was a spark of happiness that seemed to prickle at Darkfire's heart as he found the pale amber eyes of Frostpuddle staring deep into his own dark green ones. He couldn't help but grunt in amusement as the molly sat back, questioning him on where they would be going today. For the last 4 days, he had found some excuse for them to go somewhere. The first day, it was a patrol to the Sunningstones to mark their new territory again. The second day was a trip to the opposite side of the territory, to check on the twoleg bridge that separated the two clans. The third day was to the edge of the territory where a twoleg farm awaited. It was bordered off by large fencing that kept the farm animals and twolegs to their own territory. Today, he thought they could cross over the river into the other part of their wooded territory. The clan didn't go over that way often, only to pass over to the Sunningstones and the Marshland. The trees sometimes had loose dogs, so many didn't stay long.
Giving Frostpuddle a mischievous look, the deputy gave a soft rumble, "What do you think about heading over to the other side of the river.? It's been low lately, so crossing the rocks won't be a problem still. And we haven't picked up the scent of dogs or twolegs lately. It's a great place to catch prey, especially with us not normally going out to that forest." His deep green eyes were filled with a kind excitement, a side of him that he didn't share with the rest of the clan. For some reason, Frostpuddle was the only one in Gladeclan that could bring out the best part of him. A part of him that he had hidden away halfway into his apprenticeship. »»ββββ-γβ
γββββ-«« Moonstar/Featherblossom Location-Willowclan camp With- Speckpaw
As always, Speckpaw seemed to know exactly what to say to calm her thoughts. Ease her worries and feelings. He was right, if she had not fought Darkfire, if she had not taken the responsibility of battling the blood-thirsty tom, who would he had killed instead.? And apprentice.? Redthorn.? A shudder worked through her brown and gray body at the thought of the lifeless body of her orange and white deputy. She took a deep breath and relaxed herself as the scent of Gladeclan seemed to fill her senses. She knew it was just her medicine cat returning from the rival clan. As frustrated as she was that Featherblossom had insisted on going, there was nothing Moonstar could do about it now. As Speckpaw moved to the entrance of the den, Moonstar couldn't help but notice him glance back at her as Featherblossom's scent came closer to her den, "It's alright, Speckpaw. Let Featherblossom in. I would like to hear hour her journey was." She barely had the words out when the feather furred molly shoved into her den, silver and black tinted fur fluffed up with a tired agitation. Blinking back her surprise, she tilted her head slightly at her medicine cats, before dipping her head to the agitated molly ,"Featherblossom. What happened.?"
An angry snort seemed to escape Featherblossom as she shook her head and sat down with an angry plump, "Those Gladeclan warriors are a bunch of ungrateful foxes. They just caused nothing but trouble. And Eaglestar has no control over her warriors. I'm pretty sure he knows nothing about what happened that day at the Sunningstones." With an exaggerated look, the feline gave a heavy sigh ,"Moonstar. You must tell Eaglestar about what Darkfire did. He needs to know about how dangerous him and his little group are. It won't end well for Gladeclan. Or Willowclan. Splashfury nearly attacked me, a medicine cat, until that Mangy deputy stopped her."
After a moment of silence, Moonstar dipped her head in a hesitant agreement. Featherblossom gave a curt nod and then turned to Speckpaw. Her agitation seemed to soften a little and she swiped her tail along his back ,"Speckpaw. Come. I want you to tell me how the clan is and what you did while I was away." She whisked him over the ears, heading out of the den ,"Moonstar. You'd do good to join a patrol." Without waiting for anyone to answer, she moved quickly to her own den, leaving Speckpaw behind.
Moonstar gave a heavy sigh and met Speckpaw's gaze with her own green ones. Featherblossom was right. Getting to her paws, for the first time in days, the leader headed out of her den ,"Go ahead and join your mentor, Speckpaw. I will go out and see where I am needed." Touching her nose to his ear, the molly headed to where her deputy stood, stopping near his side. She made sure to keep a mouse-length between them. Her voice seemed to travel as she joined the group around Redthorn ,"Where am I needed.? I can join a patrol." A murmur seemed to ripple through the warriors and apprentices, shock filtering through them all.

So deeply focused on her apprentice, she didn't even notice Frostrose coming to with a meal for the two. She gratefully took a little bite after Pebblepaw pushed it towards her and paused to thank Starclan for the meal and the warmth it brought to her insides. While Pebblepaw spoke of the destruction of her clan and Willowclan, she suddenly felt nauseous. What was so bad that could wipe out a whole clan? Why didn't starclan warn them of what to be on the lookout for? Was a sickness going to break out? Was it going to be a bad Grencough year? But the things Pebblepaw described did not really fit in with the horror Pebblepaw was describing. Pebblepaws large, sad eyes met hers. She checked her emotions, willing herself to be strong for him, with him. She got to her paws and moved to his side so he could lean into her if he needed to. She felt her heart break once more. This was such a heavy omen that would out any experienced medicine cat on edge, let along an apprentice. While the Thunder forms around the glade, the fern shall rise among the Willows.' She took a deep breath and pondered. Death, famine, droute, blood, ferns...willows....thunder....she was so confused, even more so since she was not the one to experience it herself and had to try to interpret second hand. "Starclan is trusting you with a very large thing Pebblepaw, I hope you realize that. I didn't receive an omen like this until three moons after my own mentor passed." She mewed very softly. "You have a lot of things to deal with, and I'm afraid this is something you are going to have to face with Starclan on your own." She mewed softly. "I met with Starclan, but was not told anything. They spoke to me and said this path was for you to go down, and me to support you. " She mewed, licking his ears softly. Being told this, especially at his age, could be very very scary and hard to handle. She was going to have to be way more patient with him, and a lot more lenient. "The only thing I was told was "Beware of the Dark." She huffed. "Whatever that means." Raising to her paws, she looked Pebble over. He looked smaller now, more frail, warn out. "Do you want to tell Eaglestar now or wait? It is probably best to try to do it before the gathering so he can collect his thoughts." She mewed nicely.

feostpuddle couldnβt help but smile. Darkfire had always been so kind with her, and gentle. She saw the way he treated other cats in the clan and felt honored that he had taken a liking to her. She didnβt see him as some dangerous cat, like some of the other cats did, she saw him as a strong warrior who knows how to get things done. Maybe some warriors just had an issue with how he handled things, who knows. All she knew was she wouldnβt mind being with him more often. Seeing the happiness in him made her pelt grown warm. She tried her best to hide it, but she was sure something may have slipped. βI would love to go see Sunningrocks that you wine back.β She mewed lightly, standing to her paws. With her large fluffy tail she tapped the tip of his nose ever so lightly and dashed off, letting her paws run with the speed of Starclan. She let out a loud belly laugh as she dashed through the trees, dodging the ferns and the branches of the low hanging willows. As she reached the side of the territory where the dogs were most often found, she slowed her pace down and drank in the air. βI think weβre safe.β She mewed, her sternness coming back unknowingly.

Soeckpaw stood in his place, a twisted look of confusing curling his lips into an odd shape. Featherblossom was most definitely in a tussy about something. He knew that the Glladeclan cats were going to be difficult, one of the reasons she was so persistent on leaving him behind. He was still pretty small and had a bad habit of mouthing off to the wrong cats at times. She shuttered to think of himself being attacked in the camp of Gladeclan. βBest stay away from there.β He thought to himself. He kind of liked his fur, and would prefer to keep it on his own body. As his mentor barked orders to him and their leader, he looked at Moonstar with wide eyes. βSheβll calm down in a little bit. You got this!β He squeaked as he tucked his tail and tan towards the den. The scrappy apprentice did his best to make sure her nest was lined nicely everytime she returned, that the herbs were neat and everything was accounted for. βTo be honest, the only thing that needed attention was Moonstar. But I did sort the herbs, threw out the old ones, fetches some things we were low on. Poppy seeds mostly because Moonstar seems to be using them very frequently still. The warriors were good. A kit did find a thorn in its paw pad so it does need to be checked today to make sure there is no infection and the swelling is going down. Other than that, things were great!β Speckpaw was really good and talking very fast. And everything he just said could have very much sounded like gibberish if someone had been half listening. He vibrated with enthusiasm for his mentor to see how well he had done in her absence.

Redthorn watched Featherblossom come back into camp, the stench of Gladclan cling to her like the memory of Darkfire clung to Moonstar. He frowned as she glared around the camp. Everyone who had a brain knew to stay away from her now. He sighed and stood to his paws. It was almost time for an evening patrol. Today had flown right past him. He looked around. He would go, they could take sagefur and nightfeather.
He had just spoken to the two before turning to leave when Moonstar pushed her way out of the den, offering herself for a patrol. βYou may join us if you like.β The large Tom mewed, keeping his excitement at bay. He missed his friend, he missed going out of camp. These days she hid in her den and snapped at anyone who wasnβt Speckpaw. He felt a little bit of resent towards the small apprentice but knew that as a medicine cat, it was good to bond with the leaders. He shuddered at the thought of him having to do it one day in Moonstars place. As Moonstar joined, he drew his tongue over her ear quickly. βItβs nice to see you.β He mewed quietly.

γββββ-«« Pebblepaw Location-Medicine Cats Den With- Cherryfrost
There was a moment that Pebblepaw was sure he wouldn't get any response out of his mentor, but then he noticed the way she seemed to be taking in and thinking about what he had just told her. She seemed to be plagued with confusion and worry for a minute. Yet, she quickly controlled those emotions and moved closer to him. A form of comfort that she showed him often. Taking the moment, he leaned into the tuxedo molly, before listening to her speak. Shock seemed to filter through his gaze as she informed him that she herself had not received an omen so large on her own during her apprenticeship. He scared him even more that Starclan seemed to be entrusting him with such a heavy task. For them to expect him to do this alone, he couldn't imagine why they thought he could. He was just an apprentice. He was young.
Her next words were even more confusing to him. She had spoken with Starclan herself, but they had only told her to support him and that this was his path alone. And gave her a warning of her own. 'Beware of the dark,' What was that even supposed to mean.? What was any of it supposed to mean.? Why did Starclan have to be so cryptic about things. Two warnings at the same time.? How would the clan face the first problem, let alone a second one.? How would they make it through this.?
Taking a deep breath, the young tom realized it would probably be best for them to inform Eaglestar now. Giving a short nod, he agreed that it would be best to get this situated now, especially with the gathering being the next night, "We should inform him now. You are right, it will be easier for him to figure out how to process and what to share with Moonstar if we tell him before the gathering." Taking another breath, the gray and white tom stood and pushed his way out of the medicine cat's den. He moved to where Eaglestar seemed to be waiting, hoping for something from his Medicine Cat's. Dipping his head respectfully, Pebblepaw waved Eaglestar to the Medicine cat's den, before dipping back inside to sit with Cherryfrost again. Once the leader joined the pair, he spoke again, informing his leader of the vision with Starclan and what they had told him. Once he had finished repeating his dream again, he gazed at Eagestar with wide eyes, "Redstorm wanted me to share with you and Cherryfrost. And remind you both that they are always with us. Even now." »»ββββ-γβ
γββββ-«« Darkfire Location-Gladeclan Territory/Sunningstones With- Frostpuddle
As he watched the pretty cream and white tabby dash off, right after flicking his nose with her fluffy tail, Darkfire couldn't help but give a trill of excitement. At that moment, he didn't seem to care about how he looked. His green eyes blazed with the challenge as he took off after Frostpuddle, their paws thundering against the forest floor. Her wanting to go to Sunningstones was enough to give him an extra spurt of adrenaline. It didn't take long for them to work their way to the stones that they would use to cross over into the other side of their territory. Letting Frostpuddle check the air for any dog scent, he couldn't help chuckle at her sternness.
Giving her a playful flick over the ears with his tail, his green eyes twinkling with a joking seriousness ,"Well, then I guess we best cross the river and head over towards the sunningstones. After all. You should probably get to enjoy the stones while they are warmed by the evening light." He turned and jumped quickly, but carefully, across the stones that gave a path for the Gladeclan warriors to cross. Once across, he waited for Frostpuddle to follow, before turning and leading them straight for the land that he had just won the clan back.
It was the moment he stepped out of the tree line to gaze at the rocks before him, that pride welled up in the orange and black toms chest. Working his way up the warmed rocks, he found a large enough one for the pair of them to sprawl out on. Once there, he stretched out on his side before waving his tail for Frostpuddle to join him, "Come on slowpoke, the rocks are so warm." His tease was gentle and his eyes playful as he urged her up, "We all know that these rocks were always supposed to be Gladeclan's. It's frustrating that Willowclan is still convinced they are apart of their territory." His eyes seemed to cloud slightly, as he thought back on the seasons of the battles on these rocks. His own father, killed in one of the battles when he was younger. »»ββββ-γβ
γββββ-«« Featherblossom Location-Medicine Cats Den With- Speckpaw
Upon entering her den, Featherblossom found it cleaned and neat, as always. Her den was lined in feathers and fresh moss, as it had been each time she returned from Gladeclan. Giving a slight purr, the pretty white, silver and black fur that reeked of their rival clan was quickly groomed clean and sleek. She felt much better after grooming herself and settled into her nest, tucking her paws under her body and curling her tail tightly against her side. Her gray eyes seemed to sparkled with amusement as her little wiry furred apprentice joined her in the den and spoke at a speed of excitement.
She pricked her ears up as he informed her of everything he had done and of dealing with Moonstar. Grateful that her little apprentice had ended up with a decent day. Sure, dealing with their leader could be challenging at times, but at least Willowclan was less stubborn when it came to care from a medicine cat ,"That's all very well, Speckpaw. I'm very proud of you. You're doing a wonderful job." She swept her tail for him to come closer as she thought of Moonstar taking up all the poppy seeds. After four sunrises, she shouldn't still be needing poppy seeds. With a frustrated sigh, Featherblossom shook her head ,"How is Moonstar doing.? Is she going to be able to become the leader our clan needs.? The gathering is tomorrow. She needs to be even-tempered." »»ββββ-γβ

Giving a nod of greeting to Sagefur and Nightfeather, Moonstar was relieved that Redthorn gave her a task to do. She was even more relieved that they would be going on patrol together. Her green eyes seemed to find a familiar green spark to them as her deputy drew his tongue over her ear and murmured his happiness that she was joining them. A part of her had been nervous that the tom would be upset with her. She hadn't been fair to him. Not lately. Her medicine cat's were right, she needed to be there for her clan. She couldn't let this fear and anger overtake her. It wasn't fair to them. She still had 7 lives left. Darkfire hadn't only taken her first. She had so much more life to give her clanmates, to protect them with. That's what she would do. She would fight for each and every one of them.
Giving him a gentle nudge back, she murmured softly for only him to hear ,"I'm sorry, Redthorn. For everything. I'm here now." With a gentle blink of her eyes, the brown and gray leader slipped to the head of the patrol and led the group out of the camp. Her paws led her through the territory, straight for the river. While it probably wasn't best, she wanted eyes on the Sunningstones. Tail lashing as she headed along the territory edges to follow the river, she kept her maw slightly open to scent the air for anything suspicious ,"I want to see if Gladeclan is occupying the Sunningstones. We will remain on this side of the river. The stones are on the edge of our territory on the other side of the river and it is best that we don't go over to that side at this time." She glanced back at her warriors to make sure they were listening. Her eyes then found her deputy once more ,"Redthorn. Has anyone been across the river in the last few sunrises to mark our land on that side.?"
