I like English accent. Its always the sound that comes in my head when I think of British Accent. That doesn't surprise me considering a lot of films/shows that take place anywhere in Europe they use a standard posh English accent.

mean and greenIreland Irish or Northern Ireland Irish because Ireland isn't part of Britain. If I'm wrong then I apologize for the spread of misinformation. @wonderkind That's so amazing! My great grandfather on my father's side was from Scotland! The accents are to die for

he's from dublin.... i dont really expect a nintendo game (where he's from) to be too deep on knowing the countries the characters are from in the game so they made him from the capital. i don't... think dublins in northern ireland? i just have a bias for irish accents in general lmfao also youre good! i dont think it's part of britain but that kinda confuses me so im not 100% sure, i was mostly just answering the poll and my bias for the accent lmfao Skunkblaze

Ireland is part of Britain as it's one of the British Isles. it isn't a part of Great Britain (the biggest of the British Isles) or the UK though.
anyway, I love the Edinburgh accent, but I'm partial to the southern English accent I grew up with and have myself (clearly, I'm not biased in the slightest). the Swansea Welsh accent is phenomenal also. I find British accents so intriguing because they're so dense. there's so many. SO many. people from two neighbouring villages can sound distinct, even today where they might go to school in the same town and have mutual friends. a year or two after I moved to Sweden I met an English man also from Sussex. he pinpointed my tiny hometown in maybe two minutes of conversation. mind-boggling lol

I've always liked the sound of Irish accents the most, although tbh all of the Celtic-influenced accents sound p nice.

Honestly I don't know very many British accents I just know the ones from the television.

If I had to rank my favorite to least favorite of the British accents + Ireland it'd be - Scottish - Irish - Northern Irish - English - Welsh

It's lowkey kinda hilarious how my Japanese students have picked up a slight British accent from me being their English teacher lol That's so cool! My English teacher was also from France so unfortunately I didn't pick up any cool accents it just made it impossible for me to orally speak English very well because my teacher wasn't very good at it either but I am still trying to learn even though I'm already out of school. What's it like teaching in another country?

scottish accents are gr8. English accents can be a mixed bag imo, like some of them are cool (the Yorkshire one is my favourite) but I find some of the others really annoying. I can barely understand the Northern Ireland accent.. don’t think I’ve heard welsh

Though I imagine there are different Welsh accents just like there are different English and American accents. Also believe it or not there are also different French accents in France depending on what region you're from. So I suppose accents are the same all over the world.

i like welsh. i think its like german where it has this weird rep for sounding harsh and gargly, but that just depends on the person speaking. it can sound soft and lovely and so reminiscent of its celtic roots.
if it were an option i def pick republican irish tho
