Roseclan Active Members Needed

Silentkit ducked away from Skyleap's paw and glared at him. What did he do that for?! he thought, and meowed indignantly at the warrior. He outstretched a small paw and batted the grown tom's nose in return, his face scrunched up in a pout. Maybe if he moved his lips at Skyleap, the way he saw his mother do when scolding his littermates. Maybe Skyleap would understand? "Aaaarrtttiiiinnnnggggtttt pppsssshhhhhhtttdfee! mmmmrrooww!!"

Snowmask gave Skyleap a weird look as he reached his paw toward Silentkit. She was going to swat it away when Silentkit swatted at him. She nuzzled the kit as he made his sounds again and purred hoping she could calm him down some. She started to bathe him her tongue going in gentle strokes across his tiny body. "It's okay you're safe." She purred.



Applefall nodded at Owleye. He seemed to not want to speak about his clan but that was okay. He wasn't sure he wanted to hear all the sad details of these other cats lives when he could get to know them as Roseclan cats. "I like it so far. And since Snow err I mean Snowmask is having kits I think it's perfect timing to run into a community in the making. I don't know what I would have done if we were alone and she gave birth. I couldn't just leave her and the kits alone while I went hunting afterall." HD sighed and looked at Owleye. Then over to where Silentkit was curled up next to his mate. "I'm glad that Fernfeather, Embermask, Snowmask, and I found this camp though and that we were able to shoe it to you all."

Yikes, we have dead week next week and then finals the following.
I still have like four online lectures to do, a few last minute assignments, and I still have to go to all of my classes all of next week too. Plus packing up all of my stuff. It gets to be a lot))

Silentkit quieted as Snowmask licked him. He felt his head getting heavier and pretty soon let himself be engulfed by sleep. The day had been long... and hard. Even though there was still a chance that the strange cats might have a change of heart and eat him, Silentkit was grateful that Owleyes and Skyleap had found him. If not, he would have probably been dead by now. Sighing contentedly, the small kit began to snore.

Mistpaw with Crescentsmoke, Swiftfur, Rustpelt, Cloudsky Riverstream [hiatus]

Mistpaw nodded and followed Crescentsmoke over to the three siblings. He waited his turn to talk after his mentor said hello. He sat down and waited to hear their names as he wasn't sure who they were yet.

Petalpaw with Cherryfire

Petalpaw was somber for a minute like a moment of silence for the ones she had lost. "I try not to think about it too much. And try to remember I'm not the only one who lost so much." She scented the air as she paused and caught scent of a mouse and some other nearby prey. "I'm just glad my family is still together." She said before stalking off to catch the mouse and show off her hunting skills. She found it in an open area munching on the seeds of a sunflower. Stealthily she padded forward and pounced landing squarely on it and crunching on its neck.

Brindlepaw with Hawksky.

The young tom nodded. He flicked his tail a couple times. "I think the biggest thing to learn is what to avoid touching to not make sounds. Like sticks and bushes are your biggest enemies hunting in the forest." Brindlepaw pointed out some sticks in their path that could break and startle prey. "You'll have to teach me to hunt in open areas. I'm sure there are some around here that are good for other types of prey then you find in the forest.



Silverrose with Nectarpaw

Silverrose got back to her den and then realized she had told the mentors and apprentices to meet each other. She had yet to go talk to Nectarpaw her own apprentice. She thought maybe she could teach her what she had learned about being the next Deputy from her leader in Phoenixclan before the disaster hit. She spotted Nectarpaw over by Marshbrook and approached. She dipped her head to both of them and then looked directly at her apprentice. "I was hoping you would be willing to shadow me today and learn a little bit about what a leader does. Unless you'd rather go hunting or chat with some other cats."

Fernfeather beamed as Shadowfoot complimented her on her catch. She set the vole next to her mouse. She turned as Morningmist came up to them. "Yes it does look like we've all done good. Should we head back to camp and mingle?" She asked the siblings. "Maybe you can meet Lionpaw." She suggested to Morningmist.

Moleshade smiled when Barkpaw showed interest in bring her apprentice. "I think you'll do great as my apprentice. In my time as a warrior I've had a few apprentices. Each one has been different and all have had something that makes them special. Do you have anything you think you're especially good at?" She regretted asking it that way feeling as though Barkpaw was likely to say nothing.

Fox came up to a stream where he had watched Marshbrook and the others cross hours before. He sat down and took a drink from it before scenting for his old mate and kits. He had followed behind their trail since Boulderclan territory. He flicked his tail as their scent mingled with others. He hoped he would see Marshbrook soon and his kits too.

Skyleap - to Silentkit and Snowmask

"Hey!" Skyleaps shot up in shock as the kit batted him back. He sniffled a bit. "I don't think I'm cut out for this." He said to Snowmask. "I'll leave the kit stuff to you, anything else you need done for him?"

Owleye - to Applefall

Owleye nodded. "I'm sure she'll be taken good care of, now that we have a medicine cat. And I'm sure there's older cats who've had their own litters willing to help out." He glanced around the group of cats, examining their clanmates.

Thistlecloud /in camp / talking to Melonburr [Mother Dark]

'So, it's just the two of us,' the warrior said thoughtfully, burying the meager remains of his mouse. 'Will we ever officially meet them, I wonder?'
The prospect of knowing about but never quite being sure of ThymeClan left him slightly uneasy. Perhaps he would eventually come across some of their members. That would help to elucidate their group at least a little bit.
'I'd like to go on that … well, border patrol. But I suppose Silverrose will be organizing it before she leaves. So it's up to random selection. Ah, well,' Thistlecloud said good-naturedly. He was feeling better. Melonburr's friendliness was refreshing in the face of everything else he'd had to go through; he appreciated it greatly.
'Thank you for agreeing to talk to me,' he told the tomcat quietly. 'I wasn't expecting to be so accepted. Which would have made sense, what with everyone being forced to leave their homes. But you've been perfectly nice to me regardless of all that. Your family is lucky to have you around.'

Okay, new cats. They seem nice enough. Rustpelt rapped her tail around her paws. Swiftfur has already found a way to make trouble for herself, I hope they don't mind her, I wish she could have kept her mouth shut for a few seconds, oh well. "Hello!" She said, her voice slightly shaky.

Thistlecloud / in camp / talking to Melonburr [Mother Dark ] (Silenthowl mentioned in passing thought)

So they would be meeting ThymeClan; Thistlecloud relaxed.
'It's a talent I wish I had,' he replied honestly, glancing across at Wrenwillow; he had assumed she was asleep, but now he realized that she must have been listening the whole time.
He didn't begrudge her her silence. He himself was not exactly eager when it came to conversation. Or, he hadn't been. Presently, he had the unpleasant feeling that things were beginning to change.
'You're more than able to make up for anything she may be lacking, in that case. But I hope I haven't been intruding. I suppose you two would prefer to talk to each other.'
Thistlecloud gazed around the camp; perhaps, he thought, he should find cats from his own clan to talk to — or maybe he should continue his quest to get to know the rest of his new clanmates.
But there appeared to be few people who weren't already talking. There was one lone cat beside the warriors' den, but they looked exceptionally nervous. Thistlecloud found himself doubly wishing for Melonburr's powers of conversation. As it was, he had a lot to learn; he didn't suppose he'd be any good at providing comfort to anyone.

Crescentsmoke-Camp-Mistpaw, Rustpelt, Swiftfur, Cloudsky
Crescentsmoke offered a slight smile, but it quickly left. "I'm Crescentsmoke, and this here is Mistpaw," he said, "Ae you enjoying your stay so far though?" He watched the three warriors quietly, as he thought, glancing over to Mistpaw to see if the apprentice was wanting to ask any questions as well. He sat down a bit, wrapping his tail around his paws.

Hawksky-Forest-Brindlepaw
Hawksky nodded at his words. "We can learn from each other," he said, watching where the apprentice pointed out about the twigs. "Makes sense, similar to open areas. In them you want to be aware of the way the wind is going, if you are downwind, the prey won't be able to smell you versus if you are upwind, you are giving away that you are there(a/n: i might be getting the winds mixed up i feel)."

Cherryfire-Forest-Petalpaw
Cherryfire wanted to say something, but she didn't know what she could say to cheer the young cat up. She stopped moving as she watched the other hunt, not wanting to get in the way of her or risk ruining the catch. "You did a good job," she said, when the she cat had caught the mouse. "You have good form."

Timberpaw-Forest-Stormchaser
Timberpaw smiled at his words. "That's great," he said, bouncing in his steps a bit. "How long till the full moon?" He wanted to see the other cats as fast as possible, the idea was exciting to him. He looked to Stormchaser with a grin. "Let's pick up the pace a bit!! I want to see as much as we can tonight!!"

Barkpaw-Camp-Moleshade
Barkpaw drew back her ears and turned her gaze to the ground, giving a small shake of her head. She kept her gaze on the ground, to embarrassed to look at her mentor. She soon turned it away, to just scan the camp quietly, she didn't see her littermates anywhere.

Nectarpaw-Camp-Silverstar
Nectarpaw smiled up to her. "I don't mind shadowing you for the day," she said. "It could be fun to see what you do." She knew leaders were important, and had many responsibilities, so she felt it would be interesting to see what that all entailed. It would also help her know why her mentor might be to busy to take her out for training.

I will get replies up in the next couple days. I am exhausted from starting my new job. Lots of manual labor to be done on a college campus in the summer time.))

Skyleap - to Silentkit, Ratwhisper, & Snowmask (briefly)

Skyleap listened to Snowmask and Ratwhisper speak, unsure if he believed Snowmask about him doing fine. "Well, if there's nothing more I can do, I suppose I'll leave you to it." He said, tapping the kit over the shoulders with his tail. "See you, little buddy."

Owleye- to Applefall

Owleye's ears fell back, vaguely recalling the young apprentice being rather upset when he caught sight of her. "It's been hard for a lot of cats, almost everyone is here because they lost something. Their clan, their family, their home..." He let out a sigh as he watched Skyleap act like a fool with the kit, while other cats were introducing each other nearby and new mentors still in camp chatted with their apprentices. He tried to avoid making eye contact with Silenthowl when he scanned over the warrior's den. "This is why cats live in clans, though, so we don't have to deal with it all alone. Us clan cats, we left because our clans weren't acting like clans anymore, something tore them apart. But we know there's good to be had by working together, otherwise we could have all just gone off to be rogues."

Owleye's whiskers twitched with embarrassment when he realized he was getting lost in his own sentimental thoughts. "I mean to say that I'm sure Willowpaw appreciated what you, Stormchaser, and her mentor have done for her, even if you aren't as comforting as a queen, and we'll make sure your kits are born safe and healthy."
