Foxpaw ran after her. Determined to catch her he didn't notice where he placed his paws. The ground broke under him, the tom giving a startled yelp, gripping at the edge of the ledge, his back legs kicking trying to pull himself back up. The cream tabby tom was unable to pull himself back up, he glanced down at the ground below trying to judge if he could survive if he did choose to let go.

Snowpaw ran over to him and grabbed his scruff. She tried to haul him up, but only moved him a little bit. She didn't dare let go of his scruff. "Somebody help!" She tried to yowl through Foxpaw's fur. She lashed her tail in effort as she tried to haul him up again.

Foxpaw was shaking like a leaf when he was back on the solid ground. He licked frantically at his fur to try and smooth it out. "T-t-thank you Emberwave," he said looking at the warrior.

Snowpaw huffed. "We weren't fighting! We were only play...practicing training." She quickly corrected herself. "Are you okay Foxpaw?" She sniffed at him, turning her attention away from Emberwave for a second.

Brightwhisker lets out a small yawn as she stretches out near the warrior's den. She loved the warm sunshine on her fur and hoped the cold weather was behind them.
Froststripes leaves the warriors den and looks around. He glances over towards the apprentices den wondering if Foxpaw was awake yet. His apprentice has come a long way and it wouldn't be long until he became a warrior.
Dovewhisker and Eagletalon were sharing a squirrel together.

"Im okay Snowpaw," he said to her. He smiled at her to hopefully assure her. Foxpaw gave a nod. "We will," he said as he flicked his tail. The tom manging to recover for the most part. He noticed his mentor down in the camp clearing. "I should go, thank you again Emberwave." The tom carefully moved around them and headed down to the clearing. "Hey Froststripes," he greeted his mentor. He was still shooken up but he wasn't going to show it, he didn't want to worry cats.

"Easy catch," he said, still trying to cover up the pain he felt from Rivermist's death. I wonder who my new mentor will be... he wondered. "I mean, it's not like whoever it is will replace Rivermist, but why should I care? I'm going to be the best warrior in the clan someday...just wait and see!" he murmured under his breath. He sighed, and began looking at the fresh kill pile, trying to find something to eat and get his mind off of it. |

Tigerspots listened to the young apprentice talk. "Hey the ravine is still rather dangerous this early in newleaf," he said. "Well nothing like some good old battle training to take your mind of mousebrained clanmates huh?" he meant it in a joking way, as he flicked Snowpaw's ear. "Let's head off while the day is young."

"Yeah, that's what Foxpaw said too." She rolled her eyes and padded up into the forest. She had already caught scent of a mouse and got into a hunting crouch. She pounced on the mouse and stood up with it in her jaws. "Beat that." She meowed, muffled because of the mouse in her jaws.
