( This is just a small thingy I've made because I'm pretty desperate to rp, no lie. It's set in a clan called Valleyclan, their territory is - as you might of guessed - in a valley that's covered in forest and rocky terrain. I will probably have more characters later, for now I just started with Thunderpaw, a tom who's going to meet his best friends for a late-evening swim and hang-out after training! Just some fun apprentice shenanigans! ^^ ) thunderpaw tom ; apprentice ; 13 moons
Another long day of training had come and gone. The large silver tabby could feel his muscles aching and to be honest, he wanted nothing more than to fall into his nice soft nest. Instead of heading towards camp, however, Thunderpaw padded out of the Training Hollow and headed off to Roaring Falls. The waterfall fell into a large pool, the bank of which older apprentices and young warriors often used as a hang-out spot. He was supposed to meet up with his friends there this evening for a late swim. The tom narrowed his light green eyes as he picked his way through their valley-forest territory, not wanting to fall over any of the uneven ground or the dense undergrowth that clung to his long coat. Thunderpaw stifled a groan when he thought of picking all the debris out of his fur later - hopefully, the water would help. Quiet had descended upon the forest, leaving crickets to sing and the rustle of the leaves. The faint flapping of wings and rustle of prey could be heard, but just barely as the loud echo of the waterfall began to filter through the trees. The senior apprentice put on speed, eager to meet up with his friends - hopefully, he wouldn't be the first one there. He hated waiting. "Hello? Am I late or early?" he called, lifting his voice to be heard over the Roaring Falls as his white paws carried him into the small clearing. The grass turned to shale and pebbles beneath his paws as he cast a curious glance around. ❖ [ tag ] ❖ [ roaring falls ] ❖

Heatherpaw🌸 - River ;; 🌸 - Thunderpaw & All ;; 🌸 - little blu ♥ ;; Heatherpaw stifled a sigh of discontent as she rolled up the last of the elders bedding. Nettlefang - the dark brown tom - and Shadedleaf - a black and white molly - were chatting her ears off as though the young apprentice hadn't heard it all before. She simply nodded and smiled as Shadedleaf croaked, "When I was an apprentice I helped take down an eagle that kept hunting the kits. An eagle!" Heatherpaw replied with a soft, 'I'm not surprised, you are very strong' before continuing on. Now that she was done she hastily bid the elders farewell and shuffled out of the den.
Freedom at last! She scooped the ball of moss into her jaws and she raced out of camp towards the waterfall. She barreled through the forest, uncaring as she disturbed a sparrow along the way - sending it shrieking into the air.
At last she burst into the open and almost collided into Thunderpaw's large tabby form. "Shorry!" She mumbled around the moss ball before she spat it out. Sometimes they would use it to play as they splashed about in the water. "Are we the only ones here?" Her amber eyes turned to look around quickly and she sighed loudly, "I even came as quickly as I could because I thought I would be late!" She shook her head, her tone hinting with annoyance.

thunderpaw tom ; apprentice ; 13 moons
Before he could register being the first apprentice in the clearing, the underbrush exploded on his left and a body rammed into his side, though luckily his bulk allowed him to keep his balance. His green eyes flashed to take in the calico form of one of his closest friends. Ah, Heatherpaw had arrived. She carried the scent of warmth and dried moss, the Elder's den, if he had to cast a guess. "It's fine, no worries," Thunderpaw laughed, shaking out his coat as he readjusted his step on the pebbles. His fluffy tail curled around his paws as he settled in for a long wait - seeing as the falls were quite a bit from camp. Hopefully the others would arrive soon. "Nope, we're early. Which is a first for me. Kestrelflight has been running me ragged, pushing all these drills on me like he's expecting a war or something," he shuddered in exaggerated disgust. He knew that older apprentices had to work harder, they had more to prove, but he swore his mentor wanted to kill him. Thunderpaw had barely even been able to sleep the night before - returning to his nest long after the sun had fallen. Turning his attention back to his friend, he lifted a paw and batted lightly at the moss ball she'd brought. "Did Shadedleaf tell you the story of how she helped take down that eagle?" the silver tom asked, chuckling at the thought of the proud black and white elder. At least her and Nettlefang always made cleaning out the elder's den an interesting experience. You never knew what story you were going to hear, or if you could believe a word they said. ❖ [ Heatherpaw(aether) ] ❖ [ roaring falls ] ❖

( Hey all! Hope it's cool if I hop in! c: if not - kick me out! )
FERNPAW molly. apprentice. 12 moons. forest.
It was dusk in the valley. As the shadows grew longer and the sun dipped low in the horizon, the high-pitched, undulating drone of cicadas and the bright chirping of crickets competed for an evening audience. The air was wet and thick with lingering afternoon humidity, though a cool night breeze began to sneak its way through the heat. "Good work today." Fernpaw could barely hear the words of her mentor over the rapid pace of her heart, still racing from her combat training. She was in the final round of her apprenticeship, and today had been a sort of practice run for her final assesment. Her undercoat was damp with the sweat she had worked up during the session. Cedarpelt, the young warrior charged with Fernpaw's training, continued on. "Tomorrow, we'll work on the hunting portion. You have a lot of work to do there, so make sure to get some rest tonight. We're gonna start early tomorrow morning. Sunrise. Okay?" The tom's gaze settled expectantly upon his apprentice, one eyebrow raised, a knowing glint in their green depths. Fernpaw resisted the urge to roll her eyes. Get some rest? As if. Cedarpelt knew that tonight was the night she and all of her friends would go to Roaring Falls! It hadn't been too long since he himself was running amok with his own class, on the cusp of their naming ceremonies. Of course he schedules her hardest test for the morning after... A sense of indignation rose in her chest, but she quickly pushed it down. She had already talked back to him once today and he made sure she regretted it. Besides, her mind was already drifting off to the fun she would have tonight. She needed to get out here - she was already late, and the last one to Roaring Falls always gets pushed in. The small silver molly nodded, flashing a smile her mentor's way. "Okay, sounds good. I-Is there anything else you need from me before I, uh, go?" Please say no, please say no, please say no. Fernpaw was eager to leave, already inching her way in the direction of the river. The warrior chuckled softly, shaking his head. "No. Lucky for you, Heatherpaw was tasked with cleaning out the elders' nests tonight. Have fun." Cedarpelt flicked his tail toward Roaring Falls, signalling her dismissal. Fernpaw let out a small yelp of excitement, uttering a breathless 'thanks!' as she started toward her friends. "And Fernpaw!" She skidded to a halt, grumbling in annoyance before turning around. "Yes?" she called back, unable to keep the frustration out of her voice. She could see Cedarpelt's silhouette in the evening shadows, his eyes watching her protectively. "Be careful with your friends tonight." Yeah, yeah, whatever. The small molly called back to him, "We will!" and started back on her way. It wasn't long before she arrived at Roaring Falls, a small glimmer of hope in her chest that she may have made it before the others. That was quickly snuffed out, however, as she heard the voices of Thunderpaw and Heatherpaw in the distance. "Am I the last one again?!" Fernpaw groaned, her blue eyes bright with dismay. She knew she had interrupted Thunderpaw, but she was filled with frustration. "I tried to get away as quickly as I can! Cedarpelt is being so strict these days." Her tail flicked with indignation. She settled beside Heatherpaw, batting mindlessly at the moss ball.

( No, it's fine, welcome! c: )thunderpaw tom ; apprentice ; 13 moons
Thunderpaw perked his ears at the sound of rushing paw-steps. Someone was approaching and choosing to forgo stealth, which meant it was probably another of their group. He was proven right when Fernpaw ran into the clearing like someone had lit her tail on fire. She was probably more than relieved to be away from her mentor, a detail he could relate to on multiple levels. He laughed at her exasperation, flinging the moss ball at her playfully. "Oh, come on Fernpaw! You know Cedarpelt is worried about you getting a leech again," he teased, tilting his head towards the water. The tom was certainly not going to remind his friends that the whole leech incident had been his fault, seeing as he'd suggested playing in the muddy shallows when they had a few open wounds from training that day... Nope, best not to bring up that little tidbit. "Our assessments are coming up, I bet that's why they're working us so hard," Thunderpaw changed the subject, stretching to try and alleviate some of the ache in his body. Kestrelflight had kicked him all over the Training Hollow today but the tabby had managed to get a few good attacks in. He'd even managed to surprise the older tom with a sudden leap from the side after a dodge. That had certainly been a proud moment for the apprentice. "I think tracking is the most difficult, there are just too many scents in the valley! How am I supposed to pick out the difference between two different squirrels, a few hundred of our clan-mates, and the odd mouse? It's impossible," he complained, flopping down beside his friends and peering up at them dramatically - expecting sympathy of course. Though he most likely wouldn't receive any.

Heatherpaw🌸 - Roaring Falls ;; 🌸 - Thunderpaw & Fernpaw ;; 🌸 - little blu ♥ & parisiansteve;; The small calico giggled as Thunderpaw teased Fernpaw and her tail quivered with delight. She was certainly going to miss these moments when they were apprenticed; she was only 11 moons and had at least another moon before she had her naming ceremony. Being the youngest amongst them was always something she despised, alas, it was not something she could ever change. "Well while you two are practicing hard I'm still cleaning the elders and yeah, Thunderpaw, Shadedleaf told me all the eagle story... again." Despite her exasperation there was some humour to be found in her expression, the small things such as the flick of her whiskers and her eyes turning from each cat to gauge their response. Her mentor, Rabbitspring, was always tasking her to clean the elders under the excuse that the other apprentices were busy... I wish the elders would just do it themselves.
"Maybe if you had more brain in your big head it would be easier," Heatherpaw grinned teasingly and prodded Thunderpaw's silver tabby side with a small white paw. She herself struggled while practicing her fighting skills, Rabbitspring never went easy and she was small and easy to overpower. However, her slight size made it easy to stalk and hide in the forest; hunting brought her much joy. She jumped back from Thunderpaw in case he decided to playfully rebuttal and she pranced towards the waters edge. The spray from the nearby water left tiny droplets upon her sleek fur and whiskers which was a cool change from the humidity they suffered through during the day.

FERNPAW molly. apprentice. 12 moons. roaring falls. heatherpaw aether & thunderpaw little blu ♥
Fernpaw rolled her eyes playfully at Thunderpaw's comment, ducking away from the moss ball he'd flung at her. The anxious desperation that had brightened her blue gaze melted into friendly delight. Whatever irritation she felt with her mentor was forgotten, especially as she eased into the water. The cool rush of the stream leading to Roaring Falls was therapeutic against her sore muscles. "Yeah, you're probably right," the lithe sliver molly mumbled through a stretch. Their naming ceremonies were coming up soon and Fernpaw was especially anxious to become a warrior. The growing pains of apprenticeship seemed long in the past; it felt due time they actually be entrusted with protecting the clan.
The molly's ears swiveled to Heatherpaw as she teased their friend. Fernpaw smiled, chuckling lightly at her teasing jab. She felt sympathy for the small calico - doing menial tasks for the elders always felt so cheap to her, too. Although Cedarpelt would always go on and on about duty and respect, but Fernpaw knew what it felt to be stuck doing chores. "Well, of course you'd say that, Heatherpaw," she laughed, tapping Heatherpaw's shoulder affectionately with her tail as she emerged from shallows. The ground was soft around the river bank, and the foliage was pungent with late greenleaf health. The cool grass felt nice against her sore paw pads. "Nobody hunts like you. I mean, seriously! It's like, unnatural." Fernpaw settled into a reclining position beside Thunderpaw, curling her tail around her rear end. There was a pang of insecurity in the young molly's voice. Hunting was never her strong suit. She was a combination of too tall and too impatient - she always missed the right moment to pounce. A fleeting pang of anxiety shot through Fernpaw as she briefly thought about her lesson tomorrow, but she quickly pushed it away.
Fernpaw's eyes brightened with newfound excitement. "Hey, who else is coming tonight?" she inquired, rolling onto her back. "I wanna see who we get to push in tonight now that it's finally not me!" She batted the air playfully with her paws, imitating the nudge she'd give the unlucky latecomer.
