sloughkit molly ; kit ; unknown
The jab of a sharp paw, paired with the flop of a furry head landing on her flank, the second youngest of the siblings stood no chance of remaining asleep - even if she did sleep deeply. Dreams full of giant sparkly butterflies faded into the eager face of Moonkit as he peered down at her enthusiastically. Her ears had yet to tune back, her brain still off-line as she struggled to return to reality, which meant she didn't hear a word her brothers had said. Instead she watched their mouths flap away. Brothers. "Huh?" Sloughkit mumbled, shaking her head as she stumbled from the nest. Clumsy black paws found the edge of the ferns and she tripped, her body going weightless as she fell through the air onto the ground, the wind knocked out of her with a soft 'humph'. Real graceful-like. The only bright side to the fall had to be that she was suddenly much more awake. Just in time to catch the gist of the conversation between her siblings. Not that she had to try hard, that's all Brightkit and Moonkit seemed to talk about - not that she was really any better. It wasn't like they'd had to drag her along. "Another adventure?" her tone was "hushed" or Sloughkit's version of it. She was a vibrant, energetic kitten and loud kind of came with the territory. Her sleepiness had vanished, a thing of the past. Instead, a buzz of excitement settled in her chest as she resisted the urge to bounce around on her paws. That would surely give them away, yes? Moonkit had told her so the last few times she'd almost given their secret plans away. The tabby molly grinned brightly, turning to peer at her adopted mother, who was still sitting in the entrance to the den. "We might need a better plan... she seems content to sit there," she tried to whisper, scooting closer to her litter mates.

Galekit - Molly - 6 moons - Straight Sleek dark-gray she-kit with a fluffy white muzzle and underbelly, a white tail-tip, and stormy blue eyes. A natural leader with a fierce admiration for the Clan's warriors, Galekit has gone on about wanting to be leader from the moment she knew what the position was. She's a bit bossy and can get huffy when things don't go her way, and can be haughty at times, but she serves as a voice of reason for her littermates, and even if she can't stop their mischief, she'll go along anyway to keep them out of trouble; even if she'll probably deny her participation later. She's very loyal to the cats she cares about and is a remarkably hard worker, who takes great pride in her ethic and honor, even if she still has a kit-like vision of how a true warrior should act. Rank: Kit Family: Moonkit, Sloughkit, Brightkit (Siblings), Dawnflame (Adoptive mother) Crush/Mate: N/A Other: N/A Streampaw - Molly - 11 moons - Bisexual Bluish-gray dappled she-cat with a black-striped tail and black paws, and green eyes. This young she-cat is cool and reserved, and doesn't trust any cat very easily. She certainly isn't mean, but she doesn't lower her barriers for just any cat to cross her path. She's surprisingly intuitive and insightful, but her delivery can often come across as blunt and uncompromising. Behind the veil is an awkward and skittish cat who's more than a little lonely and wants some friends, but doesn't know how to deal with other cats' personalities. Rank: Apprentice Family: Open for siblings/parents Crush/Mate: Open Other: N/A Shellstrike - Tom - 33 moons - Straight A snow-white tom with black ears and a spatter of black flecks on his flank. He has broad shoulders and powerful forepaws. Shellstrike is a confident and flirtatious tom who's a bit of a show off. He lives to entertain, and sees everything from a hunt to a battle as a chance for a performance. It's easy to mistake him for a self-centered airhead, but Shellstrike is quite prudent and skeptical of what is placed before him. He has the uncanny ability to see through cats for what they really are; even if he usually keeps his opinions to himself. After all, it isn't the ringmaster's position to comment on the motives of his audience. Rank: Warrior Family: Open! Crush/Mate: Crush on Spottedsea Other: N/A Quailflight - Tom - 40 moons - Straight Mottled brown-and-white tabby tom with amber eyes. His face is badly scarred from a former incident. Quailflight is a genial goofball with a heart of gold. He never has a bad thing to say about any cat, and is even able to forgive those who have wronged him. He's incredibly loyal and would gladly jump into battle for the cats he cares about. As a young warrior, Quailflight was deeply in love with a she-cat who had agreed to be his mate. One day, while the two were hunting, they encountered a fox who quickly cornered her. Quailflight got between them to save her life, but the vicious struggle that resulted left him with deep slashes all over his face from the fox's jaws. Quailflight recovered, but his disfigured face disgusted the she-cat, who rejected him. Since then, the tom has become skeptical of love and avoids courtship almost entirely, out of the fear of raising his hopes only for his appearance to leave him alone once more. Rank: Warrior Family: Brother to Minnowface? ( ♥𝔉𝔯𝔬𝔰𝔱ℜ𝔬𝔰𝔢♥ ) Crush/Mate: Open, but keep in mind his history will make him a tough nut to crack XD Other: N/A ♥𝔉𝔯𝔬𝔰𝔱ℜ𝔬𝔰𝔢♥ Sure I'm down for Minnow and Egret! Also would it be cool if my Minnow (probably just gonna change the name at this point xD) was the daughter of Goldensnarl?

Galekit / Kit / Nursery / Moonkit (♥𝔉𝔯𝔬𝔰𝔱ℜ𝔬𝔰𝔢♥), Brightkit (sweetclover1), Sloughkit (little blu ♥)The second sister of the four certainly didn't enjoy being awoken at this unStarClanly hour, and the irritation showed in the gray molly's ice blue eyes as she blinked the sleep out of them. "What?" She complained, rolling over to her other side and trying to slap a paw over her eyes in the futile hope of not being further disturbed. Unfortunately, this was far from the case. Finally, grumbling at the inconvenience, she lifted her head to see her siblings already chattering like starlings about how they planned to sneak out yet again. She let out a long-suffering sigh. If Moonkit felt the most detached from BayouClan, Galekit was probably the most well acclimated. She had dove paws first into Clan life soon after they had been discovered, and the young she-kit wanted nothing more than to become a warrior every cat respected. Maybe even more. She sat up now, wrapping her feathery tail neatly around her paws, as she gave her forepaw a lick. The kitten fluff was long gone now, and she was more than ready to become an apprentice. The last thing she wanted was for something to delay the day she had waited six long moons for. "And have you beebrains considered what's going to happen when we're caught?" She questioned with one eye closed - she thought it made her look sophisticated. It was always the same discussion, and no matter what harebrained solution they arrived at, Galekit always ended up tagging along. She couldn't let them go off on their own, of course, what would they do without her careful guidance? Today was special, though, and if they did anything to interrupt their - her - special day, they would never hear the end of it. An irritated Galekit was manageable. An angry Galekit was a raging ball of spitfire that was quite scary and not pleasant to deal with. (I love Galekit already XD Wanted to get this one out but I'll be working on other starters!)

Moonkit Tom ; Kit ; 6 Moons
As one by one, his siblings started to wake, the little tom trotted around excitedly. He kept his paw steps light and stuck to the back of the nursery. His eyes never left their adoptive mother from her position camped outside their den. Of course, Sloughkit was right. As she once again, spoke too loudly for his comfort. He nudged her gently as she toppled from the best, hissing softly. “Voice lower, Slough. We don’t want her to hear us! But. You are right.” His gaze turned to their snooty sister, well at least that’s what he called her. Annoyance flickering in his gaze. “Fine, Gale. If you don’t want to “Ruin your big day”, then you go distract Dawnflame.”
Of course, Moonkit knew better. His siblings would join him. Follow after him. No matter what trouble he caused. He often didn’t feel too horribly about it. He was an adventurous free little spirit. One could see it in his eyes. He held something in him, that could make some wonder if he’d ever make it as a clan cat. Yet, here they were, on the day of apprenticeship. Maybe all the little tom needed, was a mentor to guide his paws. To help him understand his life and himself.
His different colored eyes turned to Brightkit. His brother always had the best ideas when it came to sneaking out. Especially when everyone was starting to wake. “What do you suppose, Bright.? Any ideas.?”

Brightkit
Brightkit rolled his eyes the moment that Galekit started picking apart their idea. "Whatever, it's not like we'll get caught. I've thought it out." He insisted, swatting his sisters ear gently and turning back to Moonkit and Sloughkit. He had no worries that Galekit would eventually tag along, no matter how much she pretended that she was more mature than them, she always tagged along.
"It's easy- I- or I guess, Galekit now, if she doesn't want to have fun on our last day... " He looked over at her pointedly, before his fur fluffed out in excitement, squinting his eyes as he peeked back over at Dawnflame. "Well- anyways. Someone needs to make a big fuss. Like, 'someone stuck a burr in my paw!'" The last bit was, what Brightkit believed, was a perfect imitation of Galekit. "Then, Dawnflame will have to go to the medicine cats den . That would give us enough time to get out of the camp!" He saw absolutely no issues with this plan and the confidence he was exuding showed as much.

Cranepaw in the apprentice's den || with Grovepaw and Willowpaw
This little fluffy white apprentice was crouched before the nests of her sleeping siblings, a mischievous smile dancing across her maw. She'd woken up with a start earlier that morning, blinking and stumbling out of the den to use the dirtplace. It had been quiet and chilly, the sky just barely lightening into a cool blue, birds softly calling on the wind. The chill sinking into her fur only excited her, drew the last dredges of sleep right out of her. Cranepaw wanted to do something fun today - an adventure, perhaps! Of course, she wouldn't dream of doing so without the company of her littermates!
Who were stubbornly, soundly asleep. Grovepaw in particular lay tightly curled in his nest. Well, Cranepaw thought as her head popped up from behind her brother's sleeping form. That just won't do at all.
With an evil "hehehe," Cranepaw backed up to get a running start, then flew through the air and landed squarely on top of Grovepaw. "It's MORNING!" she sang in his ear before prancing off and diving into Willowpaw's side. "Wake up wake up wake up!" Crowlight in camp || with Spottedlily
Crowlight lounged in a spot where the dawn's first light crept in, cleaning her face in a morning routine. Her whiskers twitched at the sound of her brother's full-belly laugh from not too far away. She contemplated doing some morning hunting to get her muscles warm and moving when she caught sight of Spottedlily slipping out of the warrior's den. At once a wave of nonsensical delight at the sight of the calico cat pulsed through her, and Crowlight almost scoffed at the feeling, at how she at once drew herself to her feet, trying to project calm and nonchalance.
As Spottedlily peered around camp, Crowlight gave her paw a swift lick and dragged it over her ear before padding over to her fellow warrior. "Hey," she greeted, waving her tail. "What are you up to?" Featherdusk in camp || with Goldensnarl
Featherdusk opened his jaws in a long, satisfying yawn as he rolled over onto his belly, stretching out his paws up over his head. The old tom had been lying sleepily in his nest for the past hour or so, finally rolling himself up and out of his nest once the whim to do so wandered by. He licked at his coat, messy from sleep, and leaned over to nose Goldensnarl. "Better get on up before you sleep all day again, sleepypaws. I'm going out to catch some sunbeams," he said, stretching out a hind leg and grunting at the pop in his hip. "Want to come with?" Crescentrain in camp || with Dawnflame
Quiet whispers in one corner of the nursery roused Crescentrain from their sleep, one that felt like has dragged on for moons. Crescentrain let out a deep sigh, flicking their ears as the fading echos of their dream clung to their brain like cobwebs. Finally, they pulled themself up into a sitting position, feeling round and heavy and very much like they needed to go make some dirt. Humming quietly to themself, they stood on stiff legs and swayed as they made their way towards the entrance of the den, still blinking sleep from their eyes.
"Ah, good morning, Dawnflame," Crescentrain said in a soft mew. "How were your dreams last night? Good, I hope?" They stood there, blinking and smiling faintly. "I hope none of the unpleasantness from my dreams rubbed off on yours. That would be not good, no."

( sorry this took so long, guys! c: )
spottedlily molly ; warrior ; lesbian
The molly had just begun to settle beside the warrior's den when a shadow suddenly loomed over her and she jumped a bit, her wide green eyes searching out the cause. Her ruffled fur immediately lie flat at the sight of the mainly black feline, recognizing her as Crowlight and not someone hostile. What had she expected anyway? A bobcat to have somehow wound up in camp? She shuddered at the thought, remembering her sister's unfortunate run in with one of the vicious beasts. That had been a dreadful day."H-Hi, Crowlight! I mean, good morning?" Spottedlily mewed, inwardly cursing her lacking social abilities. How had she somehow managed to make a simple greeting sound like a question? Oh Starclan! Smiling at her own nonsense she licked a bit self-consciously at her fluffy white chest fur. "Oh nothing really. What about yourself?" she asked, her tone more steady and much softer - as per usual. She'd always been more soft-spoken even when her clan-mates criticized her for it.
dawnflame molly ; queen ; demisexual
Though the stand-in queen had pretended to be oblivious to the waking noises of her troublesome wards, her ears were tilted back, trying to listen in for any of their devious ideas. Honestly, Dawnflame was convinced those little terrors were out to force her into an early grave, always trying to run off and throw themselves into danger. Sure, they could gamble with their lives as her heart payed the price. She had not been ready for children, not at all and of course when she adopted some out of a moment of weakness they happen to be absolute heathens. And what did that say about her? Just confirmed what she always had known. She was a horrible mother. The scent of her den-mate reached her a moment before Crescentrain actually spoke, distracting her from the kits. She couldn't help but smile at the other molly, shaking her head slightly. It had taken her a moment to get used to the oddity that was the dreamer who stood beside her but after sharing a den for many moons, Dawnflame had adjusted. "Bad dreams? No, not for me. Great wonderful dreams of life without demonic fur-balls driving me up a tree," she joked, scooting out of the way in case Crescentrain needed to get past her.
grovepaw tom ; apprentice ; questioning
The tom was dreaming of his warrior ceremony, of his mother looking at him from the Perch, her eyes shining with a pride so profound it defied description. His father was there too, along with all his siblings, even boring old Stormcall. He puffed his chest out as Willowpaw and Cranepaw whined from the sidelines, not ready to become warriors yet. Nope, today was his day to shine. Some part of him was sad that his sisters weren't by his side but he shrugged it off. Just before his mother could give him his official name, he died. That is, a weight landed on him and drove all the air from his lungs, causing the tom to gasp frantically for breath. His stormy blue eyes flew open, claws flashing, ready to face his attacker. They thought they could burst in and ambush him in his sleep? No sir, not Grovepaw. The scent of his sisters was heavy in the air and panic touched his chest. If this enemy had hurt them in anyway, he would make them eat their pelt for breakfast. With a rumbling growl his gaze finally locked on the "attacker". "CRANEPAW!" he snapped, batting at her ears with a heavy paw, though his claws had retreated. The dark silver tabby scowled at the pure white feline, exhaustion weighing heavy on him. These late-night practices were beginning to really wear on him but he feared without them he would fall behind or never be good enough. The tom was growing like a weed, no longer appearing like the runt of the litter he'd been born as. "What has you so excited today?" Grovepaw asked, still glaring from the rude wake-up call.
sloughkit molly ; kit ; unknown
The molly lowered her head, her ears flattening apologetically when Moonkit scolded her. She wanted to whine that she had lowered her voice and that speaking even quieter would be impossible! Within the next moment she'd perked right back up, nearly skipping around her trio of siblings as they squabbled. Sloughkit had been right about something! Her heart was soaring at her brother's admission, light blue eyes glowing with unbridled happiness. She even seemed to be humming under her breath. "You... You mean like lie?" the tabby feline whispered, her eyes almost eclipsing her face in shock. Though they had tried to escape the camp many times it had never involved... lying. Her chest ached at the implication, glancing over at the shapes of Crescentrain and Dawnflame. Nervous energy jittered in her body as she practically danced on the spot, her paws churning against the ground. This was kind of extreme. "Isn't that bad?"She wanted to have fun and adventure was almost as deeply embedded in her soul as her brothers' but to be dishonest was wrong... wasn't it? Like really wrong, way worse than her and her siblings just trying to explore their world. Sloughkit nibbled on her lip uncertainly, eyeing all of her siblings, as though expecting them to tell her she'd misheard Brightkit... or soothe her conscience.

Twilightsong Molly ; Medicine Cat ; 25 Moons
Padding through a starry forest, Twilightblaze found herself in Starclans territory. Her deep orange eyes glimmered as she recognized where she was. She'd been here many times since she had first chosen the path of a Medicine Cat. Yet, it'd been moons since she'd actually been in the starry forest. Instead, her dreams were often clouded by darkness, blood and snapping teeth. She couldn't make anything of the nightmares, only that they consumed her dreams..Even when she went to share with her ancestors.
As soft fur brushed her right shoulder, the little black and orange specked molly felt warmth overflow her. The familiar and missed scent of her mentor wreathed over her. A purr overtook her body as orange eyes met green eyes. She bumped the large black tom with a friendly greeting. His massive, but nimble Orange paws seemed to be twice the size of hers. "Sunstep, How wonderful it is to see you. Oh. How I miss you. I hope you can see how hard I've been trying. How much I've passed on to Rosepaw. I feel so lost at times. I..I hope I'm doing well."
A throaty purr filled her ears and the sound of Sunsteps voice echoed around her, as if there was more than one of him speaking. His green eyes held star shine and laughter to them.
"Come, Twilightsong. You are wise. I knew from the day you were born that my death was near. Starclan pointed you out to me. From the moment you could walk, you were learning from me. I knew you could handle it. And I know you can handle it now. Be brave, young one. Be strong. You are the song that fills Bayou."
As his words resonated inside of her, the little molly stopped to lap up some water from a puddle. As she crouched down, ready to take a drink, it dried up. Blinking in surprise, she took a step back and looked back to see her mentor starting to face.
"Puddles often dry up, when we least expect it."
Gasping awake, the medicine cat scrambled to her paws. Fur ruffled and eyes wide. She blinked furiously, eyes blurry from sleep. Taking in deep breaths, the black and orange molly tried to calm herself. The last words of Sunstep filling her head again. What did they mean.? What could they possibly mean for her clan.? Oh, how she wished they were more clear.

Whitetalon Tom ; Senior Warrior ; 69 Moons
The large gray, black and white tom had been up for quite some time. Enough time to watch Maplefall slip into the warriors den and be replaced by Stonestalker for watch. Enough time to watch the deputy, Alligatorsnap, leave and come back with a carp between his jaws. Enough time to watch members of the clan start to trickle from their nests and into the clearing. Yet, it was one member of the clan he looked forward to seeing awake, more than most. As the lovely gray shape slipped from her den and padded to her normal spot, perched up on the branch that overhung the camp, the tom felt warmth fill his body. He watched as she settled down, his bright green eyes glistened happily as they caught a glimpse of her deep blue ones. As the deputy settled down below her, the tom padded on over and sat beside Alligatorsnap. Giving the tom a curt but respectful nod, before looking up lovingly at Puddlestar. "Good morning, Sweet Puddle. How did you sleep.?" Though the tom often shared a den with his mate, there were quite a few nights that he would still sleep amongst his fellow warriors. He often would let Puddlestar decide if she wanted to be alone or have his company. Not minding the nights that she needed to herself. He respected the molly more than anyone else in the clan. Littlefeather Molly ; Warrior ; 33 Moons
Grooming her white and gray speckled fur, Littlefeather listened to the camp coming to life around her. She wasn't too far away from where Stormcall and Darkriver sat. Her heart filled with warmth as she heard Darkrivers laughter echo around the camp. As much as she tried to hide it, she was quite fond of the black and white tom. Though, she was sure most could tell. She was sure they could see the way her eyes lit up when she looked at him. Sure they could hear the sweetness in her voice grow even softer, when she spoke to him. It was a wonder why she didn't just tell him her feelings. Yet, the little molly continued to keep it to herself. She choose to try and shove it all in, instead of blurting it out to the world.

A large grunt escaped the silver and gray dappled molly as a weight exploded into her side. Opening one of her green eyes, she was greeted by her rowdy and rambunctious sister, Cranepaw. Swatting playfully at the white molly, she turned onto her back and gave a stretch of all four paws. A yawn formed and her maw opened wide, revealing her sharp white teeth. After a moment, she jumped to her paws and turned to her siblings. A chuckle escaped her to see that she wasn't the only victim to her sisters morning routine. Their silver and black spotted brother, Grovepaw, was being awoken the same way. "For Starclan's sake, Cranepaw. Do you have to wake us up this way every single morning.?" Of course as she scolded her sister, nothing but love and playfulness echoed with her words. She could act like she hated it, but truly, she didn't mind her sister. Nor her excitable mornings. It often had her awake in time for her mentor. Moonkit Tom ; Kit ; 6 Moons

As a gentle nose nudged at him, Goldensnarl curled into a tighter ball. His cream and mackerel striped fur was fluffed up and his tail was tucked tightly against him. Thankfully, his brother was close enough that he caught the words that were coming from his maw. After another moment of pretending he didn't hear Featherdusk, the eldest tom finally uncurled himself. Body creaking and popping, the tom yawned before getting to his paws. A grunt escaped him, his body stiffer than usual. Some sunlight would do his old bones good. Opening cloudy blue eyes, the tom let out a sigh to find that his vision was even worse than before. Each day, he lost more and more of his sight. His left eye completely blind. His right only a very very faint outline. His hearing was no better. Most had to speak up or talk close to him for him to even hear them, and even then, he struggled a bit. "The sun sounds quite nice, Featherdusk. Do you mind helping me out. SpottedSea was watching Deerpaw and Slatepaw as the wrestled each other and shook her head. "You guys are gonna end up slipping up one of these days." She said in exasperation. She was curled up in the shade as she was munching on a shrew. She looked around the camp and saw the others moving around and coming in and out with prey or some coming back from patrols. She licjked her paw and ran it over her ear and sat up stretching some before saying to Deerpaw and Slateopaw, "Come finish this, im done with it you two." Actual forms:
Mothwhisker - Tom - 30 moons - Bisexual
Mothwhisker is a broad-shouldered cinnamon silver tabby tom with long fur and an oriental build. His eyes are a pale horizon-line blue. He is significantly taller than the average warrior, with long legs and a lanky frame. Mothwhisker exists in limbo; at once, he is both charming and stoic. Friendly and calculating. This makes him a bit of a "golden boy", as he is both impressive as a warrior and strategist, and fun to be around. However, he is intensely ambitious. His propensity for risk-taking makes his morals ambiguous, despite his good intentions. Rank: WarriorFamily: OpenCrush/Mate: Open to potential romancesOther: He imagines himself becoming the deputy someday, and is fiercely pursuing opportunities to brand himself as a good pick (though he will be humble about it, in person). He feels an immense pressure to preform perfectly, as not to shatter the brand he has built up around himself. He barely conceals his arrogance, despite trying to appear humble. The type of guy to never take a break. Who doesn't really know how to.
Orchidsky - She-cat - 25 moons - Lesbian
Orchidsky is a slender primarily ginger tortoiseshell she-cat with a white muzzle, underbelly, and tail, and bright orange eyes. She is a creative; the spirit of an artist rendered in the body of a small cat. She is bubbly, inquisitive, and unrestrained. This eccentricity can be interpreted as charming or annoying, based on one’s opinion on whimsy. Orchidsky thrives in social situations and derives her sense of purpose from uplifting others. She is unsure of herself when alone and grows anxious in stagnant spaces, so she keeps herself perpetually busy. When not fulfilling her warrior duties, she often explores the territory and has amassed quite the collection of colorful trinkets which she uses to decorate her nest and, when that is full, random clearings around the territory. She is more interested in creating both beautiful thing and beautiful friendships than being a strong warrior, which can cause problems. Rank: WarriorFamily: Sister is TwilighthsongCrush/Mate: Open to potential romancesOther: N/A

Woodshadow - tom - 61 moons - heterosexual A tall, dark brown tom with amber eyes. Woodshadow is taciturn, distant, and critical, but also very diligent and knowledgeable. While he was a skilled warrior in his lifetime, he struggled to connect with others due to his social anxiety, which he hid behind an aloof and ill-tempered disposition.
Rank: StarClan Warrior Family: He is the father of Fireshade and Hootswipe. Open to additional relationships! Crush/Mate: Sassafrasfur (formerly) Other: (leave this out) He was not close to his kits, and had no special feelings for his mate, Sassafrasfur. He only agreed to become her mate at her insistence, and he feared that there was nothing left for him to do in life, other than to settle down. He died from a lung infection.

-- ❃ -- Crowlight in camp || with Spottedlily
Crowlight at once backed down apologetically, cursing herself for startling Spottedlily. She knew she was a large cat, and used that information well for intimidation purposes, but the sensitive molly was not a cat she wanted to intimidate right now. "It's technically a good morning," she mewed, taking the greeting as an actual question. There's a quiet fondness that stirred in her chest as Spottedlily's soft-spoken awkwardness. "Relatively speaking. Sunny. Which is why I was thinking of going out for a morning hunt." Crowlight tilted her head, hoping no nervousness was about to creep into her voice. "Care to join?"
-- ❁ -- Crescentrain in the nursery || with Dawnflame
"Oh, wonderful," Crescentrain mewed. "That's just - that's wonderful." They blinked slowly as they looked over at where the kits were gathered, hunched over in plotting whatever scheme they were about to hatch. "I think I will miss them," they mused. "And you. I will miss you." They sighed. "I do not think I will like being alone." Then again, placing a tail tip over their swollen belly, they mused that perhaps they may not be alone for too long. They can only hope. They wondered how many kits they'll have. How many will bear the markings of her old love. Is love the right word? They do not know. They do not think they loved that outsider, in the true romantic sense. Just a sweet craving for connection that did not quite satisfy.
"Will you miss me?" they said suddenly. In their slowly making their way past Dawnflame and out of the nursery, they paused, looking over at the other queen. "Would you miss me?"
-- ❀ -- Cranepaw in the apprentice's den || with Willowpaw and Grovepaw
Cranepaw cackled as she rolled off her sister to the ground, slumping onto her side and beaming up at Grovepaw. "Do I ever need a reason to be excited, dear bro?" she said airly. "Adventure CALLS! Also you two are never awake when I am and I get bored." She pouted at the both at Willowpaw. "Come on, let's go climb the Twisted Cypress or something! If I were keeping track, which I totally am, I still have to crush both of your records into the ground!"
-- ⚘ -- Featherdusk in the elder's den || with Goldensnarl
"Of course," Featherdusk said with cheer, heading over and laying a tail tip on Goldensnarl's shoulder. "Slowly now! I got you." As he gently led his brother out of the elder's den, Featherdusk was off-handedly musing, "Why, feel that dappled sun on your pelt! A sun-filled morning is always the greatest, though I wouldn't mind a chilly one, or even a rainy one. It is nice, after all, the listen to the rain go pitter-patter right outside the cozy comforts of the den. Wouldn't you say?"
He kept his words close to Goldensnarl's ear, a touch louder than he would another cat. He did not stress about his denmate's hearing deteriorating, or even his faster-fading vision, because that's in the future, and Featherdusk did not fret about the future. Featherdusk does not muse about his own mortality, or the breaking down of his own bones in the dirt one day. He did not dread the things to come. Not at all. What purpose was there, after all, to put so much energy into reconsidering your purpose in life, or if your life even had any meaning at all, to feel the anxiety bubble up in your chest, to feel your jaw clench and your stomach twist into knots at the very thought, thoughts that pelted you at all turns, especially now that you have so much time on your paws you can think of nothing else.
So Featherdusk did not think about things like that!

Galekit / Kit / Nursery / Moonkit (♥𝔉𝔯𝔬𝔰𝔱ℜ𝔬𝔰𝔢♥), Brightkit (sweetclover1), Sloughkit (little blu ♥)Galekit could see several holes in her brother's plan, no matter how he put it. What about other cats in the camp? The guards at the entrance? She couldn't think of a single time this had ever worked, so why would it now? There was no point in bestowing this wisdom upon her siblings, however. Moonkit and Brightkit seemed determined to hurtle themselves face first into danger, and Sloughkit would happily follow them wherever they went. She let out an exasperated sigh. Why was it always on her to be the sensible one? Finally, she nodded. She needed to go with them, to watch over them. One last time as kits, then it would be their mentors' jobs to keep them from getting themselves killed. "Fine." She hissed quietly. "But Dawnflame isn't going to believe I have a thorn in my paw if there's nothing actually there. And I'm not putting a thorn in my paw for this." She added with a pointed glare. "I'll go and talk to her, keep her attention off of the nursery. Get out, and go through the dirtplace. I'll try and circle back to you. If I can't, come right back." Even as she said it, the gray kit knew that her siblings wouldn't come back. If they made it out, they'd commit to the adventure - which made her even more annoyed. She padded to the entrance of the nursery, batting her tail along Brightkit's nose. "I do not sound like that, by the way." She added with a huff, and then glanced at Sloughkit, gaze softening slightly. "And I won't lie, Sloughkit. Don't worry." She poked her head from the den, shaking her head. The things she did for these stupid furballs.

H O O T S W I P E in camp, unaccompanied (open)
The ground beneath his flank was cool and soft. As lazy as he was, Hootswipe didn't mind these early hours of the day, if only because he found the chill of a dark and quiet camp refreshing. Of course, it never stayed that way for long, and today was no different. Before he knew it, he was surrounded by mewling voices and hurried paw steps.
Oh, won't you just hush already?
He was in a particularly sour mood today, as he always was on the day of the new moon. Naming ceremonies never failed to fill him with dread. Any excitement that he might have felt for them as a kit or apprentice had long since faded from his heart, and now, he always did his best to meld into the crowd whenever Puddlestar called for a meeting. The last thing he wanted was to become a mentor, and he was that any new paw felt the exact same way about him.
Rolling onto his belly, the orange tom opened his eyes to observe the activity surrounding him. Beneath the Perch, Alligatorsnap and Whitetalon sat. The old gray tom sounded as "lovey-dovey" as usual, and for a moment, Hootswipe was tempted to curl his lip. He restrained himself, however, and instead, he quickly averted his eyes. He didn't want to be noticed by the toms, and certainly, not by the leader sitting above them. Being noticed by Puddlestar would surely be the end of him.
Rising to his paws, he opened his jaws with a yawn.
If it wasn't for the ceremony, he would have gone hunting. Unfortunately, as much as he despised the event, he wasn't rude enough to skip it. Everyone would notice if he wasn't there—or, at least, so he thought, but who knew? Maybe he wasn't as noticeable as he thought he was.
Come on, he thought. Let's get this over with.

( sorry this took so long, all! c: ) puddlestar molly ; leader ; heterosexual
The sight of her former apprentice settling in below her sent a wave of warmth through the molly. Alligatorsnap had grown into a fine warrior, much more confident than she had ever been. It was a genuine pleasure, getting to see kits grow into the cats they became. Her mind drifted to her own litters, most of them full grown. She was proud of each and every one, no matter their differences. Even her charming Copperhaze, the kitten she taken in when she'd lost almost all of her second litter. A fond smile touched her muzzle, blind with the deep love of a mother. Now it was time for new kits to take the first steps onto the paths of their life. Puddlestar knew Dawnflame was probably eager to have some rest from her rambunctious charges. She loved apprenticeship ceremonies, it felt like new beginnings. "Whitetalon, oh, I slept fine. Better than you did, clearly," she mewed, sending one of her knowing looks to her thick haired mate. She worried about his lack of rest, her need to take care of others settling deep in her chest. In another life she might have been a medicine cat. "Oh, but I'm excited. Alligatorsnap, I know you already have Streampaw, but Hootswipe, you might find yourself with an apprentice," she teased, having spotted the tom skulking about. He might have wanted to have been left on his own but Puddlestar was a mother and had to include everyone - it was in her nature. "Starclan and the moon bless whoever has too keep those four in line," she chuckled, resting her head on her paws, blue eyes catching in the misty sunlight. There was no place she felt more at peace than surrounded by her clan-mates. She'd always been a clan-cat, through and through.❖ [ Whitetalon(♥𝔉𝔯𝔬𝔰𝔱ℜ𝔬𝔰𝔢♥ ), Alligatorsnap, & Hootswipe(ᴏᴡʟ ) ] ❖ [ the camp ] ❖
alligatorsnap tom ; deputy ; bisexual
When Whitetalon had approached, the brown and white tabby had dipped his head in respect before shuffling away a bit, to give the two some space. He admired the bond between mates, aspired to reach that level of devotion for another feline. Alligatorsnap turned to acknowledge Hootswipe as he neared as well, waving his tail in a quick greeting before trying to tug a twig out of his shoulder fur. Just another clear sign of how restlessly he'd slept. The deputy grumbled to himself before spitting the offending piece of foliage onto the ground at his paws. He'd gone fishing and hadn't even noticed the dumb thing was there. Chuckling lightly, he looked to the other tom, trying to imagine the lazy and aloof tom as a mentor to one of Dawnflame's adopted litter. Their energy or even Galekit's bossy attitude would likely clash with Hootswipe's own personality. "Yeah, Streampaw keeps me pretty busy, I couldn't handle another 'paw," he gave a humorous shudder at the idea. At the mention of his apprentice, his gaze flickered towards the apprentices' den where Deerpaw and Slatepaw had been tussling - only to be stopped by their mother. He hadn't seen the blue furred molly this morning but hoped she'd slept alright. ❖ [ ^^ ] ❖ [ the camp ] ❖
spottedlily molly ; warrior ; lesbian
When the molly wasn't immediately criticized for her awkwardness, she appeared to relax further. Living with her clan had taught her that while clan mates could be a support system they could be judgmental as well. Luckily, that didn't appear to be the case with Crowlight, and Spottedlily thanked her lucky stars. She was only really good with communicating with Maplefall after all. Her sister had always been in her corner. Black and ginger ears perked right up at the mention of a hunt. That sounded lovely, a chance to stretch out her legs. "That sounds like a lovely idea, before the heat becomes too intense," she mewed, casting a semi-annoyed glance down at her coat. Her fur was long and made living within the clan difficult but she could never imagine her life anywhere else. This had always been her home. "I-If you're sure?" she asked quietly, peeking up at the taller molly, nerves getting the better of her. She wasn't the best hunter in the bayou after all. Her sister was much more skilled...
dawnflame molly ; queen ; demisexual
The light brown tabby smiled grudgingly and shrugged, unwilling to admit out loud that she would miss the kits too. Not yet anyway, that would make this whole thing too real. A pulse of pain radiated through her body as she shifted, her twisted leg - something sickening to look at - set at an awkward angle from her body. Dawnflame felt the sliver of panic, of desperation she'd been trying to push down for moons, rise up and try to consume her. What if it never healed? It had to... she couldn't be stuck in camp forever.
Her attention turned sharply back to her den-mate, Crescentrain peering at her in askance, waiting. Her heart squeezed for the other feline, it must be frightening to consider being all alone. Even if it was only alone in the nursery, it must be weighing on the other queen. "I will I think. I mean, who else is going to tell me what my weird dreams mean?" Dawnflame laughed, trying to make light of the situation but unsure how to properly do so. Her heart was set on being a warrior again, she had to try, no matter what it took.
grovepaw tom ; apprentice ; questioning
She was bored? The silver and black tom stared at his sister plainly, as though trying to understand someone speaking a foreign language. If he hadn't been scowling before, he sure would have been now. Not that he shouldn't be used to this by now, Cranepaw was always finding new ways to annoy him. It was like.. her job or something. He cast a glance at Willowpaw as though to ask if she could believe the audacity of their litter mate. Grovepaw had just stood to try and get comfortable in his nest again when his sister mentioned the Twisted Cypress. Oh how the boy loved a challenge. His deep blue eyes, so much like their mothers, sparked with interest and he couldn't help a slight smirk stretching across his muzzle. "As if, Cranepaw. I can out-climb both of you with my paws tied behind my back," he taunted, lashing his tail playfully, his chest puffed out in a considerable amount of arrogance. "But... if you need a reminder..." Grovepaw trailed off before padding towards the entrance to the den, head held high. Any thoughts of sleep had disappeared.

Twilightsong Molly ; Medicine Cat ; 25 Moons
Confusion spread across the young medicine cats face as she was approached by Rosepaw. She continued to blink, vision still slightly blurred from her dream. After a moment of regaining her composure and clearing her head, the black and orange spotted molly turned her orange gaze on her apprentice. A gentle look spread over Twilightsong's face as the apprentice worried over her. Taking her tail, she ran it softly along the spine of her light brown apprentice. "I am quite alright, Rosepaw. Just dreaming, is all. You know my dreams have been filled with those dark forsaken nightmares lately. I can't seem to escape them."
Turning to give her pelt a quick grooming, she flattened her black and orange fur. Once satisfied, she sat back up, squaring her shoulders. Her gaze wondered to the piles of herbs that Rosepaw had been counting. Getting to her paws, she dipped her head slightly. "I see that you have been going through our herb stock. If there is stuff we need, why don't you head out with a patrol and gather what we need. I'll stay behind today in case anyone needs me."
Once directing the younger molly, Twilightsong turned and slipped out of the Medicine Cats den. She let her head sweep around the camp, taking in her clanmates. After a moment, she sought out their leader, Puddlestar. It was only expected that she share her dream with the leader. It had to be important, if Sunstep had come to her himself. With a soft sigh, she padded over to the overhanging branch where Alligatorsnap and Whitetalon sat below the light gray molly. Sitting a distance away, she waited patiently in hopes to speak to Puddlestar alone.
Whitetalon Tom ; Senior Warrior ; 69 Moons
At the knowing look from his mate, Whitetalon simply flicked his ears in acknowledgment to her look before following Alligatorsnap's gaze towards the apprentices den. Amusement filled his gaze as he spotted Deerpaw and Slatepaw wrestling once again. The two siblings were often found tussling together, practicing their moves. He let out a snort of laughter at the conversation of the bundle of kits brought into camp. Bless Darkflame's soul for dealing with the rowdy group of kits for all this time. At the same moment, he noticed the gray shape of Slatepaw scurrying towards him.
"Speaking of handfuls. Here comes my apprentice, himself. I suppose I should get him out and about, before him and his brother cause too much of a raucous around camp." He paused for a moment, a teasing glint in his eyes. Getting to his paws, he waved his tail at his clanmates before purring. "Though I must say, I'm sure glad I don't have to handle one of our newest to be apprentices. It'll take an army to train that group." After a moment, he turned his direction towards his apprentice, flicking his ears in a farewell to Alligatorsnap and Puddlestar. Meeting Slatepaw partway, he gave the apprentice a nudge with his shoulder in a greeting. "Good morning, Slatepaw. You seem to be full of energy today. I assume you have slept well." Minnowface Molly ; Warrior ; 40 Moons
Crouching low, the lithe black and white molly's sharp yellow eyes locked on a crane. Waving her tail, she signaled to her mate, Egretcry. The large white tom had joined her on a short hunting trip. Now, she was slinking towards the long-legged bird. She licked her maw as she flicked her ears for him to go around to the other side. Together they would take down the larger bird. Wrens were her favorite meal, as well as large enough to feed a good part of the clan. She didn't see them very often, and they were harder to catch. Yet, with her mates help, she was sure the two of them could take it down.
As they neared the bird, she took a mighty leap, hissing her command for Egretcry to follow in suit. Digging her claws into the birds wings, she grappled with its long neck, trying to get ahold of it as it started to freak out. Struggling to hold on, she flatted her one good ear.

Maplefall Molly ; Warrior ; 38 Moons
Curled up tightly, the calico and white molly slept soundly. She had sat on watch for the night, listening and keeping a close eye for her clanmates. It wasn't until dawn was starting to approach them, that the warrior realized how tired she truly was. When Stonestalker came to relieve her, she'd gladly taken the chance to slip into the warriors den. Curling up against her sister and falling asleep quickly. She hadn't even budged when Spottedlily had left the den.

Stonestalker Tom ; Warrior ; 38 Moons
Stonestalker sat at the entrance to camp, right on the outside. His ears were pricked up and his deep green eyes watched the area around him. The burly grey and fawn spotted tom curled his long tail over his large paws. His long fur was groomed and sleek. He sighed softly, digging his claws into the ground as a restlessness fell over him. He often hated watch, and knew as more warriors woke and the camp filled with activity, he could join his clanmates.❖ [ Open to anyone. ] ❖ [ the camp ] ❖•❅──────✧❅✦❅✧──────❅•
Littlefeather Molly ; Warrior ; 33 Moons
After some time had passed, Littlefeather stretched out her legs, enjoying a patch of sunlight that seeped into camp. Her flank rippled slightly As she stretched out, enjoying the warmth that seeped into her flank. Closing her green eyes, she listened to the activity around her. In that very moment, life felt wonderful, very peaceful. She couldn't be more pleased with how things were. She had such a large family. Wonderful parents. A tom she hoped to one day confess her feelings to. Plenty of apprentices. What could possibly go wrong.?
❖ [Open to anyone. ] ❖ [ the camp ] ❖•❅──────✧❅✦❅✧──────❅• Willowpaw Molly ; Apprentice ; 9 Moons
At the mention of the Twisted Cypress and who can out-climb who, Willowpaw jumped to her paws. Her dappled silver and blueish.gray fur was ruffled up, spiking with excitement. She chased after her silver and black spotted brother, flicking her tail across her sisters white ears. A teasing growl rumbled deep in her chest. "Now, we all know that I'm the best climber in this clan!" Of course the little molly wasn't the best climber in the clan, but she often practiced. She hoped to one day be the quickest at it. Be the most nimble amongst the branches of the tree.
Ears flattened, the little molly took the chance to tackle her brother. The second she swiped his paws out from under his body, she hared away, eyes wide. A spout of laughter escaped the apprentice as she hurried for the entrance of camp, hoping to make it to the cypress tree before her siblings. Moonkit Tom ; Kit ; 6 Moons
A snort escaped Moonkit as Galekit put in her own thoughts. She always thought she was better than the rest of them. Yet, he still adored his gray and white sister. As she padded off to distract their adoptive mother, Moonkit flicked his tail at his other two siblings. "Come. Sloughkit. Brightkit. Keep quiet, move quickly." With that being said, the tom slunk along the darker edges of the nursery, crouching close to the den entrance, ready to make a dash out of it and towards the dirtplace. His black fur bristled with excitement as he waited for the signal from Galekit to move. Every inch of him tingled. Hoping the group would actually make it out of camp this time. His heart pounded so hard against his chest that he could hear it in his ears. If they were all caught, they could be punished for trying once more to leave the camp. He only hoped the four of them could either accomplish their task, or sweet talk their way out of trouble.

Goldensnarl Tom ; Elder ; 100 Moons
As his golden brown half-brother took his place in leading Goldensnarl out of the elders den, the cream colored tom let out a rusty purr. Warmth filled him as Featherdusk let him to a warm spot and spoke close to his ear. This had become quite the routine for the brothers. They had become incredibly close in their lives together. And even more so since Goldensnarl had started to lose his sight and hearing. He couldn't ask for a better friend. A better denmate. A better sibling.
Of course, it hadn't always been this way between the two elders. When Goldensnarl was 2 moons old, Featherdusk was born to another queen in the nursery. It was soon after that the tom had learned that the two families had shared the same father. For many moons, the kit was quite angry. Upon becoming apprentices, he longed to be better than the other family his father had chosen. Yet somewhere near the time of becoming warriors, Goldensnarl had grown fond of his half-brother. Growing a large seed of respect for the tom. Through their lives as warriors of their clan, he had chosen to form a stronger bond with the tom, especially after losing the rest of their families.
When the time came to retire, the two had done so together. A rare occurrence for family to make it to retirement together. As he enjoyed the warmth that seeped into his aching bones, he nudged his brother gently in agreement to his words. How he loved thunderstorms more than the sunshine. "You know storms are my favorite kind of weather. I know most hate it, but it's such a lovely element. Such peace can be found from the pattering of the raindrops." He paused to chuckle a little. Memories of his younger days filling his head. Many would think he was mad. Being one of the only ones out in the rain, enjoying the water on his flank. "Though, I must say, my body doesn't quite agree with the rain anymore. Makes my body ache." •❅──────✧❅✦❅✧──────❅•

-- ❃ -- Crowlight in camp || with Spottedlily
Crowlight snorted. "If I wasn't sure, I would not have asked," she said. With that she stepped around towards the entrance, thoughts of holy mousedung she said yes she wants to hang out with me wow spinning around in her head and her resolutely ignoring them, as well as the flash of nervous delight in her belly. Better not screw up another social interaction, Crowlight.
"Are we heading to the Bog, then?" Crowlight said. "Not a foul day for some weatherfowl. Between you and me, we can probably snag a big one before sunhigh today. There is that apprentice ceremony happening later on."
-- ❁ --Crescentrain in nursery || with Dawnflame
Crescentrain smiled faintly, raising a tail tip to rest it on her denmate's shoulder. "You can always visit the nursery if you ever have an odd dream to interpret," she said very sincerely. Please. "No matter how busy your warrior duties may keep you." She then stretched a little and hobbled out of the nursery. "I will go and empty my bladder now."
As she walked, round and full of tiny kicking paws, her mind meandered. Most of her thoughts were meaningless - what kind of wings would snakes have if snakes had wings? or what is the purpose of salt in water? - but a small portion of her thoughts were dedicated to pondering whether or not she should take a stroll just outside of camp today, stretch her legs, let the kits in her belly listen to the sound of the wind and the birds. After all, Starclan knows when she'd take another stroll like that again after her kits were to come. Maybe she could visit her sister. She hasn't done that in a while.
After a couple rounds of thoughts like these, she found herself in the dirtplace. She wasn't quite sure how she got there, but she wasn't complaining.
-- ❀ -- Cranepaw the camp || with Grovepaw and Willowpaw
Cranepaw laughed, loud and delighted, and also leapt to tackle her brother right behind Willowpaw. She knew the promise of competition would be enough to stir her siblings out of bed, but watching her plan work still pumped her full of self-pride. "Let's go, let's go, let's go!" she practically shouted in Grovepaw's ear before tumbling after her sister, tripping over her paws in her excitement and falling flat on her face before jumping back up, racing after Willowpaw. "Last one to the Twisted Cypress is a rotting smelly bird egg!"
She streaked across camp, diving for the entrance right on Willowpaw's heels. Her breath swerved in and out of her lungs during the dash, and even though she wasn't quite aware of who exactly made it to the base of the tree first, she made sure to slam her entire body into the trunk to lay claim and yell, "HAH! MADE IT!"
-- ⚘ -- Featherdusk the camp || with Goldensnarl
Featherdusk chuckled. "I think your body's trying to tell you something," he mewed teasingly, "to maybe not go standing in the rain?" He stretched out under the sunbeam he's chosen and sighed as he settled next to Goldensnarl, grooming the top of his brother's head. "The music the rain makes is delightful, though. Which one can enjoy inside."
He watched with amusement as a couple of apprentices bolted through camp, gunning for the entrance. He couldn't help but revel in his relaxation, in the peace and calm of the camp. What could possibly happen to erupt this lovely day into madness? "Oh, to be young," Featherdusk sighed. "I can't even imagine moving faster than a snail now. Goldensnarl, do you remember a time when we were, Starclan forbid, running? Willing?"
