Tigerflame rushes over to them. "I heard some noise and rushed over. What happened?"

"Of course." Flamepelt meowed. "And you two," the orange tabby meowed, Turning to Tigerflame and Brackenclaw. "We need to find out if the fox is living here, or if it's gone. Follow it until you find it's den or you reach the border and whatever you do, Do not attack it."

Chco pounced and swiftly killed the vole. He picked it up and started to walk back to camp, taking a longer way to avoid the strange scent.

"Listen, Crystalfur," Flamepelt meowed. "I just wanted to say thanks. You saved my life back there. If it weren't for you, I'd be dead right now."

"Yeah." Tigerflame mews wrinkling his nose. "Did it roll around in Crowfood?"
Crystalfur looked up at him. "Mean it was nothing. I just let my instincts guide me even though I was terrified."

"It wasn't nothing, though." Flamepelt insisted. "Every cat is terrified when they go into battle, from the largest warrior to the smallest apprentices, but the ones who will risk their lives to save others are truly brave."

Flamepelt took the lead, heading for the camp at a slow trot.
"Let's hurry up and find this fox." Brackenclaw meowed.

"I can't scent it anymore." Brackenclaw meowed when they reached a boggy patch of land. "The border is just a little ways past here, anyways. I'd say it's probably gone."
before long, the two arrived at camp. "I'll go report to Ripplestar." Flamepelt meowed. "You can go get some rest."

"We have a slight problem." The orange tom began. "While Crystalfur and I were out hunting, we were attacked by a fox. It ran off when Brackenclaw showed up, but I think it would be safe to keep an eye open for it at least. I sent Brackenclaw and Tigerflame to track it."
