All of my cats walked to the gathering spot as Ebonystar carefully moved beside him staying slightly behind her mate. She looked down at scorchmark noticing his unease.

"I did it because I fell in love with her." Ripplestar mewed his voice calm. He had expected a bit of backlash. "Brambleclan and Briarclan are allies. We have nothing to fear."

Choco realized that it wasn't just a way to tie the clans together. "I don't think it will cause problems, so long as the alliance stays until they are grown." He said, hoping to calm everyone. Most of all himself, as thoughts of wars over who the kits grew up with drifted through his mind.

"How do we know she won't use the kits as leverage against us in the future?" Lion paw called out to his leader.
"Enough Lionpaw! It is not your relationship so back off." Bearpaw said stepping between his brother and the leaders.
"Bearpaw is right!" Sootpaw called, "Ripplestar my mother and I congratulate you on becoming a father. Ebonystar you are a lucky shecat Ripplestar is a noble cat and will make a great father."
Ebonystar smiled and nodded to the rather large apprentice.

Willowshade shook her head, "It's not right. And if those kits are Ripplestar's then why don't they live in Brambleclan? Why do they have to be in Briarclan just because of Ebonystar? They have just as much Brambleclan blood in them." She leaned against Gorsefang and sighed, "I'm just happy I'll never have to worry about that."

"If the kits choose to live here as apprentices then I will let them but until the reach six moons old they will stay with me and my clan, Ripplestar will be allowed to visit the kits as much as he likes and I am willing to bring them here to meet the rest of Brambleclan." She said
Lionpaw scoffed and shook his head only to get swatted but Cloudpaw, "Will you stop looking at the negative?! Trust in our leader he has never lead us astray." Cloudpaw smiled up at the couple trying desperately to keep her eyes off of the strange deputy.

Scorchmark decided to speak up. "Trust me I don't really like it either. However Ripplestar and Ebonystar know what they are doing. We should trust in our leaders."

(meh. on one hand I have one of the highest stats out of the defencive linemen, but the coaches refuse to start me because I'm a freshman. I'm better than our current starters, or one at least, but the coaches don't realize how good I am.)
