╰───────────────────⋞╯ "Let the winds of change guide your paws; never be afraid to follow your fate."
────────〔 ༄ 〕────────
Welcome down south, the home of hospitality. This ranch was big enough for horses before the earthquake devastated the area and it's big enough for our clan now. Now that the twolegs are gone, it's free-range. The grasses are full of prey, the woods are scarce of traps, and there are no giant monsters tearing up the fields. This is where we make our home. Moon Ridge ranch is ours and we're not inclined to leave or share. Oh, you're more than welcome to stop by but steal from us and you might just end up missing an ear. Ranch-life isn't all picking flowers and plump mice, there are chickens to be herded, crows to be chased, and herbs to be tended. It's a hard day's work and everyone has to pitch in their fair share.

ABOUT Galeclan hasn't been around for too terribly long. They formed only a season ago, a group of warriors who had been thrown out of their clans for various reasons, most significant reason being impure blood. This means cats come in different shapes and sizes here, from clan and loner/rogue/kittypet backgrounds. The adjustment to being a full fledged clan has come slowly but steadily to the group.
As a result of mixing with outsiders, their faith in Starclan isn't as prominent. Their leaders still get nine lives and their medicine cats still hold a spiritual purpose, but it's not as important to some members of the clan. Due to the small size of the clan, medicine cats have been allowed to take a family, everyone has been encouraged to take mates and start families, especially now that they've carved out a safe territory for themselves.
The clan makes their home on an abandoned ranch. This gives them a wide, sprawling territory full of fences, plentiful prey, and the occasional stray wandering by. These cats, though most of them hail from clan life, have become more knowledgeable about human life in ways, understanding things like windows, fences, houses, and barns.
They keep Shepherds - a new rank that resembles a guard. Shepherds are normal warriors unless they have a shift that day or night, then they patrol around the camp and territory for any sign of predators or other dangers. This keeps the clan safer and more secure, especially with their minimal numbers.
Warriors and apprentices are not only expected to hunt, fight and train, but they have a few new jobs as well. Chicken herding is the first of these jobs. These large birds serve as alarms for danger and bad weather. As they are hard to kill, especially without a group, the clan usually leaves them alive. Instead they herd them into their designated area every morning and at night, herd them back into their coop. The rooster, Old Red, is to be avoided at all costs. He's hostile towards most cats.
The second new task given to the clan is chasing crows from their herb and flower gardens, so that their medicine stores remain stocked. This is usually a Shepherd and or medicine cat's job but if a warrior sees a clump of herbs being attacked by crows, they shouldn't just leave it to feast.
Lastly, there's tending to the medicinal plants, which is the job of the medicine cats and any warriors they ask to borrow that day. This consists of checking to make sure it's getting the water, sunlight, and nutrients it needs. Usually this is the quickest and easiest of the tasks.
────────〔 ༄ 〕────────Rules i. forum rules apply always.
ii. respect others, treat them the way you wish to be treated.
iii. activity is not do or die. life is way more important. i understand, if you can hop on once every week or so, just to keep the clan alive and going, that would be appreciated.
iv. this is semi-literate. as long as you can give us a legible 3-4 sentences per post, grammar won't be picked apart and judged to death.
v. characters are only limited by what you know you can handle. this is a more realistic type, so no rainbow pelts. please try to keep genders relatively even.
vi. no motherless kits please, unless talked about first for plot reasons.
vii. let's have some fun! ────────〔 ༄ 〕────────History While our clan hasn't existed long enough to have some long, elaborate history, Galeclan has an... interesting origin story. In a forest territory far from this one, there are four clans, Birchclan who were swift and intelligent above all else, Oakclan who treasured strength and feats of ambition, Cedarclan the wild risk-takers, and Willowclan, the secretive clan of the streams. They all lived in a state of peace until Oakclan began making accusations and Willowclan tried to take over the entire forest, ruining years of friendships between the clans. This meant that suddenly, half-clan cats were regarded as potential traitors and lesser warriors. They were exiled from their clans, cast out to die and instead, banded together.
An elderly tom named Mottledeer, who was half Birchclan and half Oakclan, took charge of the group. They went through a bunch of harsh moons, for it was the middle of leaf-bare and they had kits with them. Most of the little ones passed away due to starvation or cold and the adults weren't much better off. Still, Mottledeer pushed his group onward. New-leaf came and after a horrific earthquake that left the whole surrounding area devastated, the cats finally found the Moon Ridge Ranch. They met the barn cats who'd lived there and found that the place had been abandoned for some time, even before the recent natural disaster.
With a slightly grown group of cats, Mottledeer searched harder for any signs that Starclan hadn't abandoned them. He finally got his sign one night, in the form of the ghost of his mother, which led him to find a pregnant feline and a dream which awarded him a connection to the stars. He refused his nine lives, claiming he was too old to take them on, but still adopted the prefix -star after being elected by the newborn clan as leader. The name Galeclan was chosen thanks to the excess of wind and absolute openness of their main area.
Now it's been a whole season, or year, since they've settled in, and Mottlestar has recently passed away, leaving his successor and the small group to hopefully thrive in his memory. Our clan is fragile, still trying to settle into our new home with such a small, mismatched group of felines, but somehow, together, we'll get through it. Let's make history.

Territory
; the clan lives on a large ranch, about fifty acres, complete with fields, forest area, corrals, stables, a chicken coop, a dilapidated barn, and an old, abandoned farm house.
Rusty Barn Exactly as it sounds, this is the ramshackle barn we have on our territory not too far from the house where we make our camp. The walls inside and out are painted a deep rusty color, partly where it gets its name from. Hay lines the floors and visitors are asked to sleep out here, away from the clan for safety reasons. This is a great place to hunt, there are always birds stuck in the rafters, mice, and rats scrambling about, and the Loft is where we train our apprentices in battle due to the excessive amount of hay for padding.
The Coop This is where we keep the chickens during the night or during poor weather, the clan keeps this place reasonably clean. Apprentices often have the chore of clearing out the nests within the coop - a dreaded thing. The whole thing is surrounded by a wire fence that we've figured out how to latch open and closed. Chickens are to be treated with respect, not hunted. If unprovoked, they seem inclined to live in peace with us. Aside from Old Red, the Rooster. He's got... aggression issues. It's better to just stay away.
Crooked Stables The name of this building certainly comes from the way it leans, looking as though a gust of wind might send it toppling over. Inside is made up of four stalls that used to keep horses. They've long-since wandered off but the cats use this place to grow some of the more sensitive plants year-round since there are giant holes in the wooden flooring. Small rodents are easy to find here. Owls nest up in the rafters, however, so it can be a bit dangerous for smaller cats to travel alone at night.
Silver Brook This small babbling stream is where our fresh drinking water comes from. It runs right by the farmhouse that we make our camp and has cool, clear water. The brook widens and deepens as it trails down into the Mottled Forest, becoming a full on stream where fish can be caught and felines can take a refreshing dip in the waters, since it's a slow moving current.
Sky Fields So named for it's tall crops, these rolling hills are full of all sorts of prey but also giant abandoned monsters. They sit menacingly among the high grasses and plants, with sharp parts still attached and broken glass scattered around them. These giant monsters are to be avoided, especially the Great Maw, which is the largest of them all, with a mouth full of razor sharp teeth. Apprentices and elders alike like to make up fables about the monsters coming to life in the middle of the night to scare their peers or kits. The abandoned corrals are on the edge of the Sky Fields.
The Blooming Circle This is the clan's garden for their more high-maintenance herbs, especially flowers. Organized in a small circle, it's set up out in front yard of the camp, enclosed by a ring of stones. These are the plants that usually needed tended if not daily, at least once or twice a moon. It's also considered a rather romantic spot within the clan, popular for proposals.
Duck Tail Pond This murky green pool of water rests behind the barn a ways, on the edges of the Mottled Forest and the Sky Fields. It's named for the duck tails that can often be spotted as they dive for their food. The water isn't the most clean to drink but it will do in a pinch. Few fish can also be caught here, mostly minnows, sunfish, smallmouth bass, crappie, and pike. Some apprentices make a game out of chasing the ducks that swim here but beware geese, they don't take kindly to felines.
Mottled Forest Named after the clan's first leader, Mottlestar, the forest covers the majority of their territory, beyond the fields. The trees are a mixture of oak, sycamore, birch, ash, and maple. While plenty of prey can be found here, dangers are also most common here. Especially since in most areas the ground is uneven and difficult to maneuver with the undergrowth, full of ditches and sudden drops and steep hills. Our warrior train hard to be able to fight and hunt with ease in the strange area. Old hunter's traps can still be found in the area, though rare, so caution is always needed when placing paws.
The Mother Tree Galeclan meet with Starclan here, in the cradling boughs of this wide tree. So named because the ghost of Mottlestar's mother, Juniperwing, led him to this tree and helped him climb to the nest of branches where the leaders and medicine cats sleep to have dreams of their ancestors. A pregnant cat was also found up in the branches, which only solidified it's name. It's in the center of the forest and it's branches spread far and wide, covering the surrounding area like a protective hug. Expecting mothers will often visit and leave little gits, like flowers, pretty stones, or prey.
────────〔 ༄ 〕──────── Camp ; the camp is settled in the farmhouse which, while old, is sturdier than the other buildings on the ranch. It's a pale blue building, faded even further with white trim that's going gray. It's single-story but has four bedrooms. The wide porch is where elders and queens spend time sunbathing and relaxing, letting the soft breeze rustle their fur. The door leads into the main area or living room where the clan has their meetings and share-tongues on rainy or snowy days. The kitchen, with the cold tile floor, is where they keep the fresh-kill pile.
Leaders Den This sits in the small office off the living room and is almost empty aside from a large cedar desk that the leader sleeps under or on top of depending on their preference.
Medicine Cat Den The dining room is where this den is situated. The herbs are sorted in an old curio cabinet and patients are tucked away under the table cloth, on their own chair/nest. Medicine cats usually sleep and sort their herbs on the top of the table.
Warriors Den The largest room, the master bedroom, makes up their den. Senior warriors sleep up on the old bed - a bit of an honor. Warriors can make their nests under the bed, around the room, or in the walk-in closet, if they so choose, there's no real limit other than the bed being for the older felines.
Apprentices Den The room next to the master bedroom is where the apprentices rest. They don't have a bed but two loveseats and some armchairs where they can make nests but it's first-come, first-serve. The floor is carpeted and comfortable to sleep on regardless.
Nursery Set in an old human nursery, ironically. The crib is low and the one side is broken and fallen, birthing queens or queens who have just given birth usually settle in there, to give them an extra sense of security. There is a rocking chair, a window bench, and the clan has dragged plenty of cushions and blankets into the room. The floor is also carpeted. A few two-leg toys still linger.
Elders Den The last bedroom is for the elders and at the back of the house. It's the warmest room without a doubt and has a large bed in the center of the room. All the elders can fit on it and it's close to the ground so there's no worry about jumping up unlike in the warrior's den. This room has a skylight for lazy days, sunbathing in bed.────────〔 ༄ 〕────────Traditions Galeclan has no traditions as of right now, as the clan is still very new to the area and learning the lay of the land. These will develop over time through the rp. If you have an idea, please pm me, we can have fun with it. c:────────〔 ༄ 〕────────

A night spent in the Mother Tree, even when Mottlestar had guided him to Starclan to receive his nine lives, had left the newly named Shrewstar feeling sore, his shoulders and back stiff and aching whenever he took a step. Sunrise was settling over the horizon, painting the sky a light peach and pristine blue and the tom had a clear view now that he'd left Mottled Forest behind him. His weary paws carried him past the Crooked Stables and Rusty Barn, ever closer to the looming shape of their faded blue home. The cluck and screech of the chickens were already filling the quiet morning with their odd melody. Shrewstar couldn't fight off a tired smile as the scents of his clan-mates, faded now aside from a quick flare that must have been a Shepherd's morning patrol, soothed the nerves he carried deep inside. As fragile as Galeclan still was, he hated to leave them, even if just for a night. The grief weighed heavy on his shoulders as he faced the entryway, the door that hung crookedly on it's hinges leaving just enough room for felines to slip in and out of the old farmhouse. When he went inside, Mottlestar would not be there to greet him. He was no longer deputy but a leader to this clan. Shaking himself, the brown-gray tabby slipped into the dim room, his eyes scouring the shadows to see if any of his clan mates were up and about this morning. He was home.
»»---------------------►
Paledaisy had been up for hours for she had volunteered to take the nigh-watch and when her relief didn't show up at dawn, she'd not left her post. She was around the back of the Rusty Barn now, scenting the air and listening closely for any signs of danger to the clan. While she didn't much care for the death of Mottlestar - or so she tried to convince herself - she knew her clan mates would still be feeling the grief. Someone had to keep an eye on the ranch and it might as well be her. After all, the elderly tom had meant nothing to her, he wasn't family or even a friend... and if she continued to throw herself into work the golden and white molly could almost convince herself. Truth was, when Paledaisy had been sitting up in that tree, Mother Tree they called it now, contemplating the end of her life because there was no way she could find enough prey to feed herself and her stomach full of kittens, Mottlestar had found her. He'd saved her and the fur balls she'd given birth to. Now he was gone. As unfeeling as she pretended to be, the molly had to fight back tears as she padded around the barn, closer to the Coop. Duty. She had a job to do. That's what was important.
»»---------------------► A fitful sleep had fallen over Badgerstrike as he tossed and turned in his nest beneath the bed where the senior warriors slept. He blended in near perfectly to the darkness and the only thing that truly gave him away were his frantic movements. The muscular tom appeared to be trying to get away from someone or something rather desperately, his claws having slid from their sheaths. Normally the warrior slept deeply and peacefully, without bothering any of his companions but this morning was different for some reason. The fur along his spine had lifted into a thick ridge and his tail was fluffed up to twice it's usual size, which was already rather feathery. Badgerstrike let out a quiet cry, shifting deeper into the thin cloth and ferns that made up his nest. Whatever terror had the warrior in it's grip, it wasn't letting go.
»»---------------------► Wheatpaw had slept on the floor last night, giving her brothers and the other apprentices a chance to sleep in the comfort of the armchairs and loveseats. The apprentice had slept like the dead, so it hadn't really mattered to her. Her amber eyes slid open slowly, taking in the lazy dust motes that floated by in the soft morning light that fell in through the windows. Rolling over onto her stomach, the young cat stretched out her forepaws and hind-legs, letting out a satisfied yawn. "Barleypaw? Ryepaw? You awake?" she called to her litter mates. Wheatpaw sat up slowly before peering up at the spot her brother's had chosen last night, her tail swaying behind her.

Upon waking, he scrambled to his paws with his thick brown fur hanging out in tufts. His long tail swept the ground around him from the area in the living room where he had dozed off. He'd never made it back towards the Warriors den. Realizing he had missed the approach of dawn, he headed out of the farmhouse where the clan had made their camp. Pushing his way out into the land they called home. He was sure Littledaisy would be quite frustrated that he had missed relieving her at dawn. The Shepherd often struggled with insomnia, one of the many reasons he was willing to be a shepherd. He usually took the night patrol, but that night, Littledaisy had taken it. With a soft sigh and a shake of his head, the tom scented the air, trying to pick up Littledaisy's trail. It didn't take long for him to find the light golden/ginger and white molly. He slipped towards her with ease, keeping his large paws light as he approached her. They were near the coop and he let his gaze flicker around, scenting and listening for danger before speaking. "Good morning, Littledaisy. I apologize for not being out at dawn." She had known the younger tom for his entire life. Having grown up in Willowclan with his siblings and mother. Graypebble had wanted to claw Dewsplash over the ears when she had turned her back on her kits. Something the old Willowclan molly hadn't been able to do to her very own kits. It'd broke the molly's very own heart to watch the three warriors pushed out of their clan and without their mother. As well as tore her apart when his siblings had succumb to the hardship of the travels and the chill that leaf-bare had formed. As she stood and stretched her legs, the eldest warrior of the clan heard faint cry's coming from beneath the bed she slept it. She leapt down and pushed her way below. Quickly, she found the source of the unsettled sleep. Badgerstrike was curled deep within his nest, fur rising along his spine and tail. With a gentle paw, Graypebble gave a poke to the black and white warrior. "Badgerstrike. Every once in awhile, a flash of white would appear as the warrior walked around the main area of the farmhouse. Sitting near the pacing figure was a medium sized rabbit. Most of the clan was still asleep or had retired to their own dens, while Silentstrike had waited the return of the newest leader of the clan. Her leopard printed black and white flank rippled as light started to filter amongst the house, a sure sign that morning had arrived. The lightest of brown eyes(tan like) glinted near the Leader's den. Ears perked up as Shrewstar slipped into the main part of the home. Heart starting to beat faster, Silentstrike picked up the fresh rabbit and slowly padded to the new leader. She dipped her head in a respectful and gentle greeting. Keeping her gaze cast down, feelings swarmed within her. "Hello, Shrewstar. Welcome home. I caught you some fresh prey. I thought you might be hungry".
For some time now, the pretty white and black molly had developed feelings for the brown tom. She'd kept her feelings to herself, keeping respect between the two of them. After all, he was her deputy-Well, her leader now. Yet, she often found herself feeling a tangle of feelings for the tom. She couldn't control it. She couldn't help the direction her heart was pulled towards. And yet, as she felt for the Leader and wished he felt the same, a bigger part of her longed to become the Deputy that Shrewstar would depend on and trust the most.───✱*.。:。✱*.:。✧*.。✰*.:。✧*.。:。*.。✱ ─── ╔═══*.·:·.☽✧ ✦ ✧☾.·:·.*═══╗ Ryepaw ╚═══*.·:·.☽✧ ✦ ✧☾.·:·.*═══╝ A small noise came from the faint orange and white apprentice as he unraveled himself from the cushioned spot on one of the loveseats. Paledaisy the Coop // with Falconstorm Her paw-steps were light on the grass as she moved around the wire fencing that surrounded the Coop, the scent of chickens fresh in the air. The beasts were noisy and slow, having a strange way of waltzing all across the fields. Paledaisy couldn't deny that she held a distaste for them but hunting them was more work than it was worth - especially with Old Red bopping around. That rooster was as lean and mean as they come. Speaking of the devil, she caught sight of a flash of red out of the corner of her eye just before one of his morning alarms split the still morning air. A grimace crossed her face and she edged away from the fence, only for a new scent to waft towards her on the barely-there breeze. Alarmed at first, since the scent was distinctly feline, the shepherd forced herself to relax when Falconstorm came into view. He had been assigned to be her relief this morning and while she normally would have had some sharp words about duty and slacking, today she simply sighed and shook her head. "Don't make this a habit, Falconstorm," her tone was carefully distant and she turned her head to look out over the yard that was beginning to turn gold with the first rays of the sun. "Everything has been quiet so far, aside from that mouse-brained rooster. I did catch the scent of an opossum around the Crooked Stables but it was growing stale. An owl probably made off with it," Paledaisy reported in an efficient manner before dipping her head in a formal farewell. The molly padded away without another word, off to get some rest before going back out on patrol most likely. Work, sleep, eat, repeat. That's what her life was. »»---------------------►Badgerstrike the farmhouse // with Graypebble The dream was full of darkness and confusing cats without faces, his paws taking him everywhere and nowhere. There was no escape for the young tom as he scrambled about trying to find some way to break free of the crushing emptiness that was surrounding him. The ghastly cats were pressing in tighter and tighter and his heart nearly stopped when he spotted his mother's white and silver fur. No, no, no! Ivystar couldn't be here among these faceless monsters! A wail of helplessness escaped him. "Badgerstrike. Wake up." The detached voice made him toss his head but followed with a gentle poke, he jerked into awareness, his flanks heaving for breath. His normally glossy black and white coat was rumpled and clamy with sweat as his round eyes sought out Graypebble's face. A weak, tentative smile touched his muzzle but fear and gratitude battled in his soulful eyes. "Thanks for that, I was having an awful dream... did I wake everyone up?" he winced at the thought, looking around to see if any of his den-mates was openly glaring at him. What a mess. He slowly sat up in his nest, shaking himself firmly to get his fur to lie flat again. "Oh! I probably woke you up, Graypebble! I'm sorry," he mewed suddenly as though the thought had just occurred to him - which it had. »»---------------------►Shrewstar the farmhouse // with Silentstrike Shrewstar took his time analyzing their camp, relieved that everything seemed to be in the same condition he had left it. Leaving his clan for an entire night had been more than difficult on the brown tabby. His throat tightened as he neared the leader's den, which now belonged to him. His eyes instantly caught on the white and black pelt of Silentstrike, it stood out quite a bit in the dim morning light. His sore muscles protested as he straightened himself at her arrival, his stomach giving a low rumble at the scent of fresh rabbit. He hadn't eaten since early yesterday morning, his grief had put him off food and then the anxiety of gaining his new title... Food was certainly a welcome start to his morning, as was the company. Silentstrike was a feline who he'd known most of his life, along with most other Willowclan cats, and though they were all one big Galeclan now, there was something soothing about the female's presence. Familiar and warm. The use of his new title caught the tom a bit off guard and he licked at his chest fur briefly before offering a little smile. "Thank you, I appreciate your thoughtfulness. Care to share it with me?" his tone was polite but Shrewstar hoped she did want to share, he didn't feel like being alone at the moment. He settled on the hardwood floor and enjoyed the coolness it provided. The air outside had been muggy and thick, it was going to be another hot day. "Did anything happen while I was gone?" he asked, tucking his paws under himself before taking a small bite of the rabbit. Flavor exploded on his tongue and he let out a soft purr of compliment. »»---------------------►Wheatpaw the farmhouse // with Ryepaw A relieved smile crossed her face when Ryepaw appeared over the edge of the loveseat. She didn't really enjoy sleeping away from her brothers but sometimes sacrifices had to be made and she would much rather they be comfortable on the cushions! Sleeping on the floor was fine as long as she knew her litter-mates were content. The molly purred lightly as she nuzzled her head beneath her brother's chin, taking in his soothing scent. "I slept just fine! You slept well though right? I know you and Barelypaw have nightmares, were you both okay last night?" she asked quickly, her amber gaze swooping over the large ginger and white tom as though she could spot any wounds or clues. A spark of anger towards Littledaisy settled in her chest, as it always did - though part of it was aimed inwards. Wheatpaw wished she could take care of everything. [ really sorry that took so long! ]

Doeswirl With: Open (mentions Falconstorm) Creamy brown fur flashed in the pale sunlight that trickled into the farmhouse where the clan made its home. She was busy sorting her herbs, her heterochromatic eyes focused on her task as her paws moved with swift diligence and practice, her task done in minutes. Picking up the bundle of old dried out herbs she headed outside and over to the Blooming Circle where she pulled out the more high maintenance herbs and placed them within the soil so they would grow anew. She would take the other herbs to the Crooked Stables later, and hopefully Falconstorm would accompany her, she wanted to spend some time with him as they were both always busy with getting the clan into working order.
The dark brown tom was alone for once, his paws pulled underneath him as he brooded alone in the warriors den, his eyes focused on the floor in front of him for no particular reason. When he wasn't with his sister he was normally found alone and brooding about anything and everything that got on his nerves... which was pretty much anything and everything. If someone did speak to him then they would get his usual rude demeanor, the tom known for only being nice to his sister and not liking Falconstorm, since he felt the tom was stealing his sister away. Still, he knew Doeswirl loved the tom and promised her that he wouldn't make the other tom mysteriously disappear. Letting out a sigh the long-haired tom stood up and stretched out his limbs, figuring that he should be helpful somehow and go out to hunt... and maybe have someone else come with so that he could bring back more prey. Looking around he spotted Badgerstrike and Graypebble nearby and quickly approached them. "You two up for a hunt or you gonna lay around all day?" His voice came out deep and his normal rude demeanor came to the forefront of his personality.
Brokennight (Will RP her whenever she has somewhere to be or is mentioned. =^.^=)
Barleypaw With: Wheatpaw and Ryepaw (☾ ᴡᴏʟғ ☆ and ♥𝔉𝔯𝔬𝔰𝔱ℜ𝔬𝔰𝔢♥ ) The calico tom had been awake since the first milky hues of dawn had seeped into the sky, a nightmare waking him up. The apprentice didn't respond to his siblings, his normal depressive demeanor taking full affect because of the long hours he had spent awake with no one to keep him in reality. When he realized his brother and sister were awake he merely let out a sigh and curled further in on himself, not having the energy or inclination to even get up.

He kept an eye on Old Red as he worked his way away from the coop. The rooster was wondering around, keeping his own watch. The brown tabby sure didn't want to upset the giant and aggressive bird. Instead, he found his paws leading him around the territory and towards the Sky fields. He couldn't help but chuckle as he remembered his mother trying to convince the apprentices that the monsters in the field would come to life at night. He wasn't sure if the young cats believed her, but Graypebble could be pretty convincing at times. Especially when it came to her stories. His tail swept behind him as he approached the tall crops that made out the field before him. It still shocked him to see the great plants and giant monsters, just abandoned. As he walked past the field, he headed on towards the direction of the blooming circle. Part of him hoped to see Doeswirl there. "Oh, Don't you worry, Badgerstrike. I couldn't sleep anyways. I was thinking about Shrewstar. Worried about him. I hope he made it back home." The older molly had just managed to get the words out when the two were approached by Buckstride. Turning her attention to the dark brown tom, she about swatted him. She tried not to let his tone get under her fur, but she often felt disrespected by the younger warriors choice of words. She was the oldest warrior in the clan, something many of her clanmates seemed to forget. Maybe it was because she was the only member of the clan that wasn't a stray or a half-blood. Yet, she felt she had proved herself to these cats. Giving a shake of her head, she headed out of the warriors den, flicking Buckstride over the ears as she went. "Well, come on then. She searched his honey-amber gaze for a moment before turning her attention to the rabbit before them. Warmth filled the black and white molly as they ate. She took a bite after him, savoring the flavors of the rabbit. It was still warm and she thanked their ancestors for that. After a moment, she swallowed her mouthful. As she spoke, her voice was gentle and kind and her tan eyes softened. "It was quiet after you left. Most of the clan retreated to their places for the night after eating. He must have had a bad night again. On the worst nights, when Ryepaw actually slept decently and Barleypaw was left up alone, it clouded his brother in depression. Giving a gentle nudge to Wheatpaw, the tom sat down and started to groom his cotton fluffy fur. "I actually slept decently last night. But I don't think Barleypaw did. I feel bad. I'm usually awake with him." The apprentice glanced towards the entrance to the room they slept in. He wondered if their mentors were around or would want them. Paledaisy the farmhouse // mentions Shrewstar and Silentstrike The cold molly padded silently into camp, her blue gaze slipping over briefly to land on the newly appointed leader and Silentstrike. A snort of thinly veiled disgust escaped her and she turned her face away, nose tilted in the air. It was clear to her, as a feline who had once been moony eyed over a tom, that the silvery white she-cat was smitten with the brown tabby. Paledaisy shook her head in false-sympathy, padding deeper into the home, more than eager to get to her nest - away from any bothersome clan mates who might ask her to share-tongues. Love was a game that only fools played. Silentstrike would end up getting her heart broken and would have no one to blame but herself. Her bitter thoughts briefly turned towards the deep ginger tabby who had made such a fool of her. Never again, she thought sternly to herself, passing the door to the apprentice's den without a second glance. Were her kits awake? Did they sleep well? What did it matter? They were their mentor's problems now. A hint of pain touched her chest but she shoved it away, settling in her soft cloth nest by the door, ready to rest after a night of patrol.
»»---------------------►Badgerstrike the farmhouse // with Graypebble and Buckstride Badgerstrike allowed himself to relax when the older molly didn't appear the least bit offended or angry with him, she even sent her tail down his spine in comfort. He let out a near silent purr at the action, not having the guts to say that no one had soothed him like that since his mother had passed away. This was way he hadn't given up following Mottlestar, even after his family died. A clan was a support system, an extended family and though his first one had been lacking, Galeclan was a clan that they could shape themselves. "Oh! Shrewlea- I mean Shrewstar! I bet he's home by now and he should be announcing deputy-" the tom's energy had rapidly returned at the thought of their new leader returning from his journey. However, his musings were interrupted by Buckstride. The rude tone set the black and white feline's nerves on edge, especially since Graypebble and himself were implicated as lazy. Badgerstrike shot a cross glance towards the other tom, showing how unimpressed he was with his attitude. "Yeah sure, but maybe try asking nicely next time? You're not gonna make any friends like that, Buckstride," he retorted, following the other two out of the den, stepping carefully across the worn wooden floors. »»---------------------►Shrewstar the farmhouse // with Silentstrike The tabby leader let out a soft purr when the warrior had settled beside him, her closeness allowing her warmth to be shared. He had missed that last night, sleeping against the cold, rough bark of the tree. Though the night had been humid, as it was this morning, he had missed the press of fur against his own and the soft sounds of his sleeping clan-mates. Shrewstar supposed he'd have to get used to the quiet and cold however, since his new den was secluded away from the others. Thoughtfully, he nosed the rabbit closer to Silentstrike, before taking another small bite, the growl in his stomach lessening rapidly. "I'm glad everything was peaceful, I was... worried about leaving last night," he admitted to the molly, peeking into her tan eyes briefly before gazing around at the dim living room. "My journey? Well... uneventful mostly. I almost fell down a steep drop before the Mother Tree though, that forest is truly unforgiving. A year and I'm still not quite used to it," he laughed at himself, his tail-tip twitching behind him. The Mottled Forest had always been dangerous with it's uneven ground and thick undergrowth. As a cat used to streams and less dense woodland, it had taken some adjustment. "I was eager to return home," his voice was almost a whisper now and his amber eyes had slid back to Silentstrike. »»---------------------►Wheatpaw the farmhouse // with Ryepaw and Barleypaw Soft, cotton-like fur wrapped around the ginger and white molly and she smiled bright at her sibling, pleased to by the casual show of affection. Even though Ryepaw probably did it automatically, without giving it much thought, it meant a whole lot to Wheatpaw. She settled to groom beside her brother, not having to work nearly as hard with her much shorter pelt. "I'm glad you got some rest at least..." the apprentice mewed, her gaze wandering to where her other brother was still curled up on the loveseat. Her heart ached for Barleypaw and his depression that he faced every day. If she could find a way to take away her brothers' pain, or even take it on as her own, she'd do it in a heartbeat. At the mention of training, her head tilted thoughtfully, amber eyes sparkling. She adored getting to learn new things, though she worried constantly that Brokennight would tire of her or find her annoying. "Hm, I don't know. Did Badgerstrike say anything to you about this morning?" she wondered aloud, licking at her chest fur. "How about you, Barleypaw? Did Owlfeather mention any training today?" she attempted to coerce her middle brother into chatting, peering up at him hopefully. »»---------------------► Rosetail the farmhouse // with - The quiet tom shook himself, hopping down from the windowsill, where he'd been peering out at the back garden. The quiet of the morning had inspired him to peer out at the sunrise and watch the sky change. Now though, after having seen the slightly wilted state of the plants, he wondered if Doeswirl needed help. Rosetail padded around his sleeping den mates and Buckstride, Graypebble, and Badgerstrike. The three appeared to be chatting about some sort of patrol or other but the Shepherd was much more concerned with the herbs or even going to patrol with Falconstorm. His ruddy paws were quiet on the ground as he padded down the hall, his ears perking at the voices coming from the apprentice's den. It was such a different experience to have all these sounds, felines living together. Rosetail was still getting used to the whole thing and it had been many moons since he'd joined the new clan. He caught sight of Shrewstar and Silentstrike and dipped his head in greeting before padding towards the fresh-kill pile.
»»---------------------► Fennelspots the farmhouse // with - Fennelspots let out a groan of complaint when she stretched out her old, aching limbs. Honestly, getting up everyday was becoming more and more of a struggle for her. Still, she didn't want to just laze about in the elder's den, it would leave her feeling lonesome - forgotten. With a shudder, the tortoiseshell molly slipped off the mattress that sat in the center of the room that made up her den and limped towards the entrance, her tail sweeping the floor. "Good morning," she called out to no one in particular, as she slowly made her way towards the hub of the farm house. Her shoulders and hips ached with each step her joints swollen with discomfort as the molly carefully moved. "Definitely not as young as I used to be," she muttered underneath her breath, shaking her head slightly before settling in a warm patch of fresh sunlight.
»»---------------------► Darkblaze the farmhouse // with - The bengal spotted molly had just woken up, her sleek, short fur not really that ruffled from her sleep. That meant she spent very little time grooming it, caring very little if a stray piece of moss still managed to cling to her coat. No, her focus was on beginning the day. She'd never been one for slow, lazy mornings. Darkblaze padded enthusiastically into the living room, finding many of her clan up and about. She dipped her head to Fennelspots, her green eyes softening as the elder winced as she settled down. Hopefully Doeswirl would have time to tend to her. Her stomach gave a quiet growl but the warrior didn't usually eat until she'd hunted first, so her gaze sought out Shrewleap - expecting him to be organizing patrols. Her heart sunk a little when the memories of yesterday caught up with her and she recalled Mottlestar's death. That meant that the brown tabby was now the leader! Which meant a new deputy needed to be chosen... excitement stirred in her chest as - for a moment - she wondered if maybe she might be a candidate. »»---------------------► Credence the abandoned corrals, Sky Fields // with - The screech of a crow and the rustle of dark feathers exploded into the quiet morning as Credence, or Creed, as he preferred to be called, bit into the flesh of his prey, ending the bird's life swiftly. The shape of his dark gray and white form was settled beside an old, rotting fence and he was pretty well hidden by the tall grasses. The tom gave a proud chuff before grasping the bird more firmly and tensing his hind legs. With a mighty leap, the large feline landed directly atop the fence, his thick tail straight out for balance. With careful paws, Creed padded calmly across the fence, head lifted high. He knew that other cats had moved into the ranch, he'd scented them, but his mother had raised him in this area long before those odd-balls showed up. He had been keeping his distance for a while now, not particularly wanting to start any trouble but he didn't hold any respect for their borders either. He'd never been taught to understand the concept of territories or permanent homes, so their way of life, from the tiny scraps he'd gotten, baffled him.

Owlfeather
It was much too early for Owlfeather, but since her apprenticeship she'd woken up when her littermates did, so here she was... sitting up and trying her best to stay awake. Large eyes blinked slowly as she yawned, slinking out from under the bed, yawning hard and stretching out. Her heart twisted at the thought of what happened yesterday, of Mottlestars death, which meant... they had a different leader now. It was different, odd, and Owlfeather wasn't sure how to feel about it. I wonder how Barleypaw is handling this, She thought, surprisingly worried and less energetic today, padding towards the apprentices area slowly. She'd give Barleypaw time to be with his littermates, but maybe focusing on their training would do them well today.
Duckpaw
Duckpaw woke up to chattering. He'd done his best to stay up last night, Mottlestar was someone he looked up to, and of course he needed to pay his respects. He had stuck close to Falconstorm the entire night, trying to emulate his mentor for once in his quiet wisdom, but ultimately failing. So he was tired to say the least, and a little grumpy, groaning when he woke up to the three littermates chattering quietly. His ears twitched, and on any other day he would have announced himself loudly, asking for just a little bit of peace and quiet, but instead he just let out a huff and got up, stalking out of the room with a dramatic lash of his tail. Waking up to talking wasn't exactly what he wanted and it was enough to put him in a bit of a bad mood.

Fennelspots the farmhouse // with Duckpaw The room was gradually filling with more sunlight, the golden rays splashing over the faded floral wallpaper and worn dark wood floors. The echoes of a past life lingered, photos hanging crookedly on the wall, trinkets scattered on the shelves of two rickety bookshelves pressed against the wall. A cold brick fireplace sat against the far wall, the ledge above which was where their leader usually called meetings. Fennelspots thought the camp was almost sad in the quiet of the morning, before everyone was bustling about. Too still, as though the whole house were holding it's breath, waiting for their proper owners to return. Instead it received felines and ghosts. Giving her head a firm shake to abate the dismal thoughts, the elderly molly carefully tucked her paws beneath herself, hiding a wince as Rosetail and Darkblaze padded past. There was no need to show weakness, her clan would need her to be strong. Approaching pawsteps turned her head and a warm, rusty purr rattled in her throat at the sight of her grandson. He was seven moons now, the molly recalled. Growing like a weed. "Duckpaw, why the long face?" she asked with a chuckle, her yellow eyes shining at him. Her love for her kin was like a warm blanket, ready to wrap you up and provide a safe place. Unlike Paledaisy. To say she didn't get along with the molly would be a bit of an understatement. How she could ignore those sweet little babies... Well, it got on her nerves more than it had any real right to.
[ i forgot to make sure if Fennelspots being Duckpaw's grandmother was okay? i made her three children, her son would be his father? ]

Doeswirl With: Falconstorm (♥𝔉𝔯𝔬𝔰𝔱ℜ𝔬𝔰𝔢♥ ) The she-cat had just finished burying the old, dried out herbs when she spotted Falconstorm coming up from the coop and she immediately brightened. "Falconstorm! Hi love!" She stood and made her way toward the tom, nuzzling him softly upon reaching him. "How have you been doing today? Seems your coming up from the coop, get any trouble from ole red?"
Buckstride With: Graypebble and Badgerstrike ( ♥𝔉𝔯𝔬𝔰𝔱ℜ𝔬𝔰𝔢♥ and ☾ ᴡᴏʟғ ☆ ) Buckstride looked at both of them before turning a glare on Badgerstrike, a small growl rumbling in his throat. "Sorry, but I'm not here to make friends. The only one I need is Doeswirl... even if she doesn't spend as much time with lately." He muttered the last part before turning around and jumping down to the floor. "Now go grab your apprentice or something so we can get going. The more time wasted here, the less we bring back for the clan."
Brokennight With: Wheatpaw, Barleypaw, and Ryepaw ( ♥𝔉𝔯𝔬𝔰𝔱ℜ𝔬𝔰𝔢♥ and ☾ ᴡᴏʟғ ☆ ) Brokennight approached the three siblings slowly and quietly, barely even making a sound. She looked at them all, taking in Wheatpaw and Ryepaw curled together before glancing over at the depressed ball of fur that was Barleypaw; someone seriously needed to help that tom. Anyways, she didn't come here simply to look around. "Wheatpaw, hurry it up. We're doing battle training today so meet me in the loft of the barn in five minutes on the dot. Don't be late." She swept her gaze over each of them before whipping around and making her way out of the camp and toward the barn.
Barleypaw With: Wheatpaw, Ryepaw, and Brokennight ( ♥𝔉𝔯𝔬𝔰𝔱ℜ𝔬𝔰𝔢♥ and ☾ ᴡᴏʟғ ☆ ) The calico tom barely shifted when he heard his sister's voice directed toward him. He took a few moments to think over the words before actually registering what the question was and lifting his head slightly. "No, she didn't mention anything." With that out he immediately curled back up and hid his face with his fluffy tail, a heavy sigh escaping from his lungs as he seemed to sink even deeper into the loveseat.

(Should Owlfeather go and grab Barleypaw? Also Fennelspots being his grandmother works perfectly!)
Duckpaw
The young apprentice hadn't noticed his grandmother, too wrapped up in his own bad mood to really notice anyone else, brightening just a little when he saw Fennelspots. Immediately he padded over, ears still al little flat as he let out the worlds loudest sigh, "My denmates don't know how to stay quiet in the morning." He whined, even if it wasn't the biggest issue he had. He was sad about their former leader, but he didn't want to. talk about that. "Why are they always talking, just the three of them? In the den! Some of us stayed up light" He complained, settling down next to the aging warrior, more than happy to talk to her. Sure, there was a large part of him that felt left out in general, considering he was the youngest in the den.
