Okay! I've read over everything and I'm pretty much caught up. I'll get a basic history going, for plots I think it would be fun to have a group of Servals infringing on Ounceclan territory. Especially as cats and servals can mate, it would be a fun plotline to see complex relationships develop between the two groups and varying perspectives in the Clan from hostility, cooperation, and so on. Thoughts?

Thoughts? and maybe the servals start as a problem in one clan and then spread as they begin to hunt in the other territories as well? Leading to the four clans having to work together to get rid of them. It would be an interesting and complex plotline that could lead to a lot of forbidden romances and kits as well as battles which could lead to deaths and such. It would add a lot of body and story into the clans. Which is what they need since they're new to the forum right now. What do you think ♥𝔉𝔯𝔬𝔰𝔱ℜ𝔬𝔰𝔢♥ and nimble |

What we need right now is traditions/ceremonies for Catamountclan and Valtoclan as well as History for Ounceclan, Catamountclan, and Valtoclan. I have a few ideas for traditions/ceremonies that I'll type up and post for you guys to look through. As for history, I can help write that as needed and the history should lead up to the most recent leader (which would be each of you guys' characters).

Catamountclan Tradition/Ceremonies Ideas: The Eagle Hunt: When a new deputy is made, he must perform this tradition to show his strength and bravery to the clan. Upon being named the new deputy of the clan he must chose two others to join him on a patrol to Eagle's Peak where they must then bring down one of the monstrous birds and carry it back to camp. Upon returning the newly named deputy must sever the wings and head from the bird and present them to the leader as a symbol of his strength, bravery, and loyalty to the clan. The rest of the eagle is given to the queens to share so that they may give strength to their kits by eating the large predator. Whatever is left over afterwards goes to the apprentices to strengthen them in their quest to become warriors.Death's Kiss: When a cat dies within the clan this ceremony must be performed within 24 hours or it is thought that the spirit will forever be trapped in the body instead of set free to join the ancestors. The healers of the clan must decorate the body in feathers, flowers, and colored stones before allowing the immediate family to gather around the body and cut a triskelion onto the deceased forehead. This symbol is thought to signify the balance between the body, mind, and spirit and allows the spirit to exit the body and live on with the ancestors. Once completed the healers will then remove the decorations from the body before allowing the family to carry the dead to The Graveyard, with one of the healers and one of the elders as guides. The trek is long and so when the group returns the next day they are allowed to eat and rest for a full day before returning to their duties.Valtoclan Tradition/Ceremonies Ideas:
New Moon Visit: Every new moon a single warrior is chosen for one of the highest honors within the clan. Once night falls they are sent out into the territory to catch and kill a little blue heron, one of the many species of herons within the swamp, and take it to Swamp Peak. During the night the swamp cat who lives here will be out hunting as they are nocturnal and the warrior must leave the heron as an offering to the animal. This signifies thanks to the creature for allowing them to live in their land and thanks to the swamp cat Venus, the original leader of Valtoclan.
The Marsh Flower: The Marsh Flower is a rare plant to find and is better known as the Marsh Orchid. This plant grows in the marsh areas of the territory but is hard to find, sometimes taking days to find even a few of these beautiful flowers. True love is rare as well, and so this flower is used as a symbol of the undying love one feels for another and is presented to the one you love when you ask for them to be your mate. If they accept the flower from you then they are accepting you as their mate, now and forever. In Valtoclan, once two cats become mates, it is for life. Breaking up with ones mate is one of the highest forms of dishonor and the one who broke off the mateship is cast out of the camp for a week to survive on their own. If they decide during this week to take their mate back then they are welcome to return early, if they do not and return after the week is up, then they are no longer respected within the clan.Shared Tradition:Celebration of Life: The first week of spring is celebrated with the this honored tradition when the clans come together at the gathering place and celebrate the life they have. This is a time of peace and an unspoken truce stands during this week. All of the members of the clans come together to celebrate their history, their future, and the lives that each of them have lived. They give thanks to the ancestors and each other and live together at the gathering place for the entire week. The largest gathering of the clans, each day has games and challenges, stories are shared and told, and prey is shared throughout everyone. On the way to this celebration, warriors hunt the prey that is unique to their lands and bring it to the celebration for all of the clans to share throughout the week. The different games include hide and seek, catch, fox and badger rides, guess the prey, guess the herb, and even trivia games about the history of the clans. The challenges include hunting, fighting, climbing, swimming, gathering, and even who can clean the ticks off of the elders the fastest. The games are mainly for the kits of the clans while the challenges are for everyone to participate in. The elders tell most of the stories and every night all of the clans gather for the healers of the clans to speak prayers and lead songs that are meant to give thanks to the ancestors.
Also, a shared landmark idea:
The Graveyard: Situated a little ways from the gathering place is a large, vast clearing where the soil is soft and easy to dig up. This place is used as the resting place of every cat who dies in the four clans. Instead of having separate places for their dead, they use a single one as show that their clans use to be one when the four ancestors had joined together to save the land and all survivors after the massive flood that destroyed everything. There is no set place for those of higher status because even though some may have higher positions than others, we are all equal. The clearing is surrounded by a wall of brambles and vines that was made by all of the clans upon the death of the four original leaders, who are buried upon a hill that rises in the center of the clearing. The entrance to the graveyard is marked by an archway of roses, vines, and moss and the loamy soil allows for flowers to grow throughout the entire graveyard, making it a truly beautiful place.

I'm here! Zz I think I'm gonna focus on finalizing my characters so the Clan has a leader as thats important. I think in terms of history I would like to work with all four leaders to work out clan relations over the years, maybe setup some joint missions or territory conflicts? |
