. . .
We always thought the Clans would last forever.
That the generations would always carry the code, the beliefs, and the stories.
We thought they would survive, no matter how many obstacles they faced.
We had hoped.
But we had never thought it would end like this.
Until it did.
. . .- - A B O U T - -
The Clans around the lake (ShadowClan, ThunderClan, WindClan, RiverClan and SkyClan) have fallen to famine, disease and invading predators. A great shiver ran across the earth, and caused a flood that lasted for moons. Vulnerable elders, young kits and queens were the first to die. Then, slowly, one by one, apprentices and senior warriors starved themselves so the rest of their Clan could eat. The water was poisoned, and this led to many RiverClan cats dying suddenly of a mysterious sickness. WindClan’s prey were mostly scared off or killed by the earth splitting and shaking apart. The forests were invaded by twolegs, tearing down the trees and destroying its wildlife. All of the Clans suffered far more than they could ever endure. Most of the Clans have splintered due to turmoil. Cats now do their best to survive with the aftermath, some of them clinging to old Clan traditions, some have abandoned the values entirely, and others aren’t sure where to go. Some groups still try to hold the legacy of the Clan together, but whether they succeed or not is up to you.

Shadowspirit // Sunrise // New ShadowClan Camp
Things never really get easier. Even with the sun eager to assist in waking up, it was still a tedious task. The small black tom squinted at the dappled light coming from the rising orb. Letting out a sigh, he slowly picked himself off the comfortable bedding he had so meticulously placed. Blinking away the fog of sleep, he stretched his muscles.
“Yowch!” He grunted, a sharp twig poking his rear. Sitting down, he looked back to send the branch a deadly glare. Beginning to groom himself, he cursed the small bush he chose to make his nest under. It was a sturdy bush, its roots had held strong during the great floods, but it sure was sharp at times. At least it kept him dry, and somewhat warm. He flicked his ears, listening for any other cats rising. And perhaps for his sister, Sunflower. Not expecting her to come back, but hoping. Always hoping. Just like his mother did, as she named him Shadowspirit on her deathbed. He didn’t know much of the Clan he had been named after, only that his mother spoke very highly of them, and her parents had once been a part of it. What was he thinking, going along with her ramblings? It had become his life’s mission to return ShadowClan to its former glory. And perhaps the other Clans, as well. As he grew, he was taught by his mother about several herbs and healing techniques she had learned from a ShadowClan cat. A Medicine Cat, she called him. Shadowspirit supposed he was a medicine cat now. The new ShadowClan’s leader and medicine cat, even though those titles made him feel uncomfortable and prickly. He wasn’t even sure it could be considered a Clan anymore, did they have to fit certain requirements to be a Clan? He let out an annoyed huff, unable to focus on his grooming. Instead, he just left his makeshift den. Entering a clearing, he thought of what he could do. Perhaps go hunting, or scouting for new places to find herbs or maybe other cats who weren’t completely interested in ripping his throat out. Not that there were very many. But it was a thought.
Comet // Sunrise // New ShadowClan Camp
The dark was familiar. Comfortable, even. It provided a cozy place to rest, and of course to sleep. Until it wasn’t dark anymore. Comet cursed the sun as it rose, the light managing to slither through the brambles into his narrowed eyes. He huffed, wishing they had woven the walls tighter. After tossing and turning for a moment, he finally rose to his paws.
“Why can’t it just stay night forever…” He sighed to no one in particular, beginning his grooming routine. The morning was promising, at least. Perhaps he could go hunting with someone, or talk with his son… or go looking for Sunflower. His shoulders sagged at the thought of his daughter. A pang was felt in his heart. He longed to run alongside his kits and mate again, but he knew it was impossible. Sunflower had distanced herself since her mother died, not to his surprise. She had always been a free spirit, and grief could make anyone need space. He just wished she would return sooner. He breathed in a breeze as it blew into the den, smelling the aroma of flowers and grass. The fur around his neck ruffled where his house cat collar had once rested. But those times were long over, and he found himself not missing them. He carefully toed out of the den he shared with a pawful of other cats, trying not to wake them.

(Hi! Mind if I jump in? ^^ Name - Age (in moons) - Gender/Pronouns
[Brief Physical Description]
Family/Relations: (optional)
Hare - 22 Moons - He/Him
Long legged grey tom with darker paws, ears, and tail tip. Nearly identical to his sister, but he has a patch of grey over his right eye, and his fur is slightly thicker and shaggier. Greenish eyes. Their mother had died before they had been given official names, and both brother and sister decided to drop the -paw at the end of their names.
Family/Relations: Rabbit
Rabbit- 22 Moons- She/her
Long legged grey she cat with darker paws, ears, and tail tip. Her paws are like socks, smaller than her brothers, and has a patch of grey over her left eye. Her eyes are the same greenish color as her brother.)
Hare and Rabbit/Sunrise// New Shadowclan Camp
"Okay- it's just a little bit further- trust me, I saw a group of 'em!" Hare practically hissed in excitement, fur fluffing up as he led his sister through the dark forest. He couldn't believe it- his mother used to tell them of the Clans, how great and strong they had been- that the two of them had been born into the clan, long past their glory days when their former leader was on her last life and most of the Clan had been gone. Not that either of them could remember that- by the time they could open their eyes and explore the world, it had only been their mother and a couple of other cats who wanted to cling to that old wind clan territory. Not that Hare could understand why- the place was overrun by two legs and there was barely any prey left.
Eventually, the two left, after their mother had passed on... and thats how the siblings ended up in the forest that used to be Shadowclan territory. It had been a few moons, and it was easier to feed themselves, even if food on the moors were rather scarce... but the thing was; Hare was convinced that he'd seen a group of cats before- and now he wanted to see if they were still this 'clan' or not. Rabbit called him hare-brained (no surprise there), but he'd finally worn his sister down enough to agree to come with him.
Even if the dark, murky, trees were suffocating and Hare's hackles were raised just a little bit. He couldn't understand why anyone could live like this, where they couldn't always see the sky and couldn't see two legs coming from far away. How could they even stay safe like this? He was almost regretting this- but he was just getting so lonely and if other cats were here... well.
It'd be worth it.
"I think you're just seein' things," His sister grouched, watching her brother scramble over a fallen log, before huffing out a sigh and following just to make sure he did't hurt himself in this hare-brained process. "How much longer are you gonna follow this scent? It's creepy in here." She continued to whine, shaking out a muddy paw, tail lashing until her brother hissed out a shh, because the scent was fresh and they were so close to seeing other cats. He scrambled up a low-lying tree, not caring much that he was making noise to his sisters horror, leaning forward and trying to get a peak- and yes!
There was a cat- a black one? Maybe there were more! "See?" He hissed, although Rabbit stayed put, watching out for any predators that might just go after her dear brother during one of his 'missions'.

Shadowspirit && Hare & Rabbit // Sunrise // New ShadowClan Camp
Scratching an persistent itch behind his ear, Shadowspirit let out a grumble. Stupid fleas... need to see about some rosemary. He chuckled to himself, remembering a time where Sunflower had gotten herself infested with the little buggers. His mother had done her best to soothe the scratchy she-cat, Sunflower rolling around on the ground in despair. Rosemary was one of his mother's remedies to keep fleas away, but a good bath was always the first step. Swishing his tail across the ground, he made the decision to hunt for a few herbs today. Rosemary first, then perhaps something for wound dressings...
"See?" Shadowspirit nearly leaped out of his pelt at the sound of a quiet hiss. Looking around, he didn't see much of anything. But smelling... yes. There was the scent of strangers on the air. He let out a low growl, a warning to anyone around. If they were hostile, he needed to alert his father first... and then anyone else in danger. Perhaps the noise was just the wind, but he needed to be safe. He squared up his shoulders, facing the direction he thought the sound came from. (Which was only slightly away from the actual area of the siblings.)
"Who goes there?" He demanded in a stern voice, "You're uh, on.." Faltering, he wasn't sure what to say. ShadowClan. Say ShadowClan. A small voice in the back of his mind reassured him. "You're on New ShadowClan territory! Show yourselves or else!"

(Awesome! I also have a couple of kits/ apprenticed aged cats we can throw in later for ~drama~ if you'd like!)
The siblings and Shadowspirit// Sunrise// New Shadowclan Camp
"Oh Fox-dung" Rabbit swore under her breath, hackles raising as she scrambled to stand closer to the tree, well aware that her brothers excitement would color his reaction. Not that he wasn't a fully capable loner on his own- of course he was, but Hare was... friendlier, than most, and usually it got him swatted at because most cats didn't want to be friends when prey was so scarce.
He really would have done well in a group of cats- just like his mother had described, but those days were long gone. She climbed the tree, staying on the lowest branch next to her brother, watching as the tom got a little closer. She opened her mouth, ready to respond, but her eager littermate beat her to it.
"So it's true? There's an actual clan here? How can you do it? It's so dark and damp- you can't even see Silverpel-"
"Hare- shut it!" Rabbit hissed, worried that they'd get chased out of here, too. The two skinny siblings peered down at what they had to assume was a warrior curiously, before Rabbit fluffed out her fur. "We're up here," She drawled out helpfully, swatting her brother with a paw, "I'm sorry for my hare-brained brother, he fell into fox hole as a kit." She added, sounding completely bored, like she was used to kit-sitting him.
"Hey- I was not!"He protested, glaring at her for a moment in irritation.
