"The duck and twist." Willowpaw repeated as she started moving around a little trying to imagine what it looked like. She then tried to roll over to her back while ducking her head and she not very gracefully got back to her paws. "I don't know that I did that right." She said with a blush.

Newtwing watched her. "You have the right idea down. Think of an opponent pouncing at you, you could use the move to get away," she said. "So speed is a key part, especially when you are in a fight. With you being smaller compared to a warrior you have a speed advantage." She flicked her tail as she thought, "Let's take it into parts if you want. We can work on the ducking part first then practice getting back to your paws. And if you feel you are ready we can put them together."

Alright, I have Hawkgrip , Daisyheart, Nimblewarrior and Bonestar open. I have others but that’s all I can remember. I’m sure we could arrange something soon . I think littlesky would be cool to rp with)

Willowpaw shook out her fur and nodded. She she imagined an enemy was aboit to attack and she ducked and slid onto her back. She layed there for a second before getting up onto her paws.

Willowpaw grinned and tried it again. She didn't go much faster but she threw herself to the ground harder with a loud thud. She let out a gust of breath as she kit the ground and moaned. She then sorely got to her feet. "I think I got a little too excited there" she gasped.

"I'm fine." Willowpaw said cheerily. She layed down on her back and tried to roll to her paws. The first time she didn't make it to her paws and wound up back on her back. She tried again and managed to get to her paws but she was wobbly and couldn't easily get her balance. She finally stood straight and looked at Newtwing. "I gotta get better at that because an enemy won't wait for me to get to my feet." She scoffed at herself and layed down to try agian.

Willowpaw nodded the best she could from laying on her back. She twisted like her mentor had and rolled up and onto her paws. She stumbled a bit but she made it to her feet more easily. "Was that better?" She asked.

"I think I could get comfortable doing it" Willowpaw said laying down again and rolling to her feet a little faster. She then tried to duck and turn to her back before getting to her feet a little eaiser than the first time she tried.

Lynxpaw - Apprentices’ Den - Birchcloud, Ivyspirit, Cherrypetal
Lynxpaw gave the she-cat one last hiss before closing his eyes. Slowly, he was pulled from his... sleep and into the apprentices’ den. Blinking his eyes, he could hear voices just outside the den. The golden tabby stood and stretched before padding out into the morning light in the cave. In front of him, he saw Birchcloud, Ivyspirit, and Cherrypetal chatting. “What’s going on?” he mewed, standing straighter and trying not to look as tired as he felt.

Birchcloud - Apprentices’ Den - Cherrypetal, Ivyspirit, Lynxpaw
Birchcloud gave a small sigh before nodding his head. “Yes, of course. Perhaps I shall combine the two, even.” The cream tom then turned to Lynxpaw and mewed, “Is Swanpaw up yet?”

Tangle - Inside Cliffclan borders - Wolf
Tangle gave a quiet chuckle and swept his tail on the ground. “I suppose,” he murmured, not having anything else to say. They did, but saying that would probably lead to more questions. Well, either answer would, but it was better. The brown tabby couldn’t answer them all himself, but really, the whispers got softer here. As if they wanted him to be here.

Primrosedawn - Cliffclan territory - Ashenleaf
The yellow tabby sniffed the air to make sure she knew where the prey was. She flicked her tail for Ashenleaf to stay silent and made her way toward the mouse. Crouching and wriggling her haunches, she took and swift leap that landed her short of her target. It began to scamper away and, as her heart thumped in the chest, Primrosedawn slammed her paw on top of it.

Ferret - Above the canyon - Carolina and Mac
Ferret dove after the squirrel as it leaped toward the trees, hammering through the undergrowth like her life depended on it. The squirrel darted to the left and managed to reach a tall tree, but the grey she-cat would not be outdone. She leaped over the hole that opened up in her path to the tree. She didn’t even notice the two young cats hind lung within it for protection. Leaping up into the tree, she chased after the squirrel until the branches were too thin to hang onto. Disappointed, she made her way down the tree and decided to go check the hole out. Perhaps there was prey?

Willowpaw blossomed with the praise. She nodded quickly when asked if she wanted to try it for real not knowing what may be coming with the attack. "Okay" she chirped and got into a stance ready to duck and roll.

Willowpaw had been standing and watched as Newtwing jumped forward she ducked away from her outstretched paw and rolled to her back. She quickly got to her feet and stood prepared to fight more hoping she had been quick enough to avoid the attack completely.

Willowpaw blushed. "Its only because of that tip you gave me." She streched out her back and then rolled to the ground and pretended that she was fighting off someone to protect her belly from attack with bunny kicks. She got to her feet and shook herself.

"Can I learn another move?" Willowpaw asked anxious to learn as much as possible. She sat down and tried not to fidget. She tried to look as calm and ready for battle as a good warrior should.

Newtwing- Training area- With Willowpaw
Newtwing thought for a moment. "Want to learn another form of the belly rake," she asked. "It can be used in both offensive and defensive situations. It can also be used to get an upper paw against opponents." She was happy to hear the apprentice wanted to keep moving.

Ashenleaf-hunting-With Primrosedawn
Ashenleaf chuckled at her comment. "What if I'm giving you the practice," he teased her in return. He sniffed at the air to see what else could be caught in the area.

Wolf-inside Cliffclan territory- With Tangle
Wolf flciked his ear. "Alright I'm going to head back," he said. He hoped his friend kept to his word on being careful. "Come back with even a scratch and I won't let you live it down." With that the tom ran off following the scent trail to get out of the valley. He shook out his fur when he finally got back up to the open space of being above the valley.
