Cherrypetal considered what Doewatcher had said. She let out a small sigh at her ignorance then spoke. "You're right Doewatcher. Thankyou. Have any of the apprentices got you anything to eat yet?"
Nimblewarrior continued scenting the air, catching the squirrel scent around the same time as Littleleap. She smiled back to him and crouched herself down to a stalk. She waited for littleleap to take the lead. Her excitement showed in the thrashing of her tail.

Doewatcher smiled and shook her head. "I trust in Bonestar. And I trust in you. I know the two of you will make the right decisions for the clan." She smiled again and this time sat down. She shook her head again. I haven't seen anyone so far but you and Bonestar. But I haven't been up long.

( @ all I realized in the midst of me cleaning out the inactives I lost track of who was whos apprentice so I will be fixing that soon and tagging those involved. <3 )
The black and white she-cat furrowed her brow a bit. It was unusual that more cats would not be up at this time. Maybe it was the cold weather. Cherrypetal softened her expression and replied. "The apprentices must be training hard for only one of them to be up early." She smiled.

Littleleap led the way, noticing the signals from Nimblewarrior. The tom crept closer, spotting the squirrel only a few tail lengths away. He glanced to Nimblewarrior before he slowly started to loop around a tree, silently making his way to the other side of the squirrel to block it's escape. He couldn't help but notice that the squirrel was healthy and plump- it would be a prefect piece of prey to add to the fresh kill pile, easily large enough feed two cats. He looked to Nimblewarrior as he readied himself for the chase, flicking his tail to indicate that he was ready for her to pounce.

Cherrypetal smiled softly. " I already had a finch but I'll join you to chat more if you don't mind." The she-cat enjoyed the company, she had been cooped up in the medicine cat's den for too long.
Nimblewarrior watched Littleleap's signals and at the flick of his tail, she pounced scaring the squirrel within Littleleap's range. She watched as it dashed off, her heart rate quickening as she yearned to scurry after it. She waited back a bit, waiting for Littleleap to take the lead on the chase.

Doewatcher nodded and continued to the freshkill pile. She grabbed a mouse and came back to the medicine cat. She layed down and sighed. She flicked her tail and looked at Cherrypetal. "What else would you like to talk about?" She asked before taking a bite of the mouse.

Cherrypetal thought for a moment, her tail flicking. "Well," she started. "I was hoping you had an opinion on who you think is going to be deputy? Bonestar hasn't relayed any information to me yet, and I'm rather curious to know what you think." She sat down, wrapping her tail around her paws. Hopefully, the question didn't catch the elder off guard.

Doewatcher chewed her bite of mouse and swallowed. She flicked her tail at the medicine cat's question. "I feel like Newtwing or Foxstep would be good for deputy." She took another bite of mouse. "They both seem pretty responsible. And we definitely need a new deputy soon." She said trying to stay calm.
(Do you want me to make some more cats so we have more cats. Also in case you're trying to remember Newtwing was mentor to Willowpaw.)

Littleleap urged his body forward when the squirrel raced towards a tree, he pounced in front of it and herded the small creature towards Nimblewarrior, away from any means of escape. The tom was thankful for his small size, it allowed him to follow the creature through the undergrowth with relative ease. The only issue was his long coat, which caught the small, dried branches of the brambles. Though none of them were sharp enough to pierce his pelt, he knew that they would prove to be annoying when they returned to camp. He groaned slightly at the thought of having to pick each little piece out of his pelt. He shook his head and placed his attention back on the chase. The squirrel was now at a perfect location for Nimblewarrior to strike, if she missed, Littleleap was ready to give the killing blow.

"Two very seasoned warriors. Good choices. Did you ever have dreams to be deputy as a kit?" She ventured. Cherrypetal was enjoying her time with the elder, her clanmates didn't really seek her out for conversation. They either came to her for wisdom or for injuries. |

Cherrypetal let out a soft laugh. "I get that though. You were so young." Cherrypetal had heard the elder tell her story before. Her eyes grew sad at the thought of what the older cat had gone through. She took a moment to look around camp to see if brightpaw was back yet. She wasn't sure how long it had been since she sent the apprentice out.

Doewatcher frowned as Cherrypetal looked sad. "I know what you're thinking. It is sad we lost pur mother so early. But without the clan we never would have survived." She had always just wanted to protect her sister from bad so she felt the clan did them good despite her early hatred for the clan.

All my characters that can be killed without permission will say killable at the other section; I made two apprentices- due to them being young I think it would be best to discuss before killing either of them.
