Mallardblaze & Longstorm- On Birchfoot’s patrol
Longstorm couldn’t help but let out a purr of laughter seeing Minnowpaw’s enthusiasm. I reminded him of him and his brother’s time training. The dark tabby ran to catch up, keeping his eyes and ears open to any prey. It may be a border patrol, but the clan always needs to be fed. It wouldn’t hurt to catch something on the way.
Mallardblaze meanwhile, fell a good distance behind his brother. He was still distracted somewhat by seeing a sickly Honeypaw. Were any other apprentices sick too? Perhaps he’ll keep a careful eye on Minnowpaw, just in case. Fortunately she seemed like she had good energy. Maybe his worries of an outbreak were for nothing?

Sageflower gives him a quick glance. "Yes, I wouldn't be to worried." She turns her gaze away to focus on where she was going. "Leaf-fall is around the time when most cats start getting sick due to the cooler weather. I imagine it's just a cold or fever but we have herbs for that." The constant raining hasn't made things easy either.
Rosepaw rolls her eyes at his remark. In her mind, the kick had been perfect! At the mention of training, Rosepaw considers his offer. She didn't exactly have anything to do at the moment plus it seemed Lightingwhisper was busy at the moment. "Why not."
"Yes, this has been rather dull lately." She remarked. Thundershade was busy spending time with Poppyfall and she had no clue what Shadowblaze was doing these days. "I wouldn't mind doing some hunting. Are you wanting to go for fish or just stick to land animals?"
"Since we are out, tell me what do you both smell." Snowfeather asked. She figured this patrol would be a good time to test her apprentice and do a little bit of training.

Robinpaw
Patrol with many cats
Robinpaw padded alongside her clanmates, listening to birdsong in the trees and the wind rustling the leaves. She distractedly watched as a butterfly flitted around a patch of flowers, I wonder what it would be like to be a butterfly, she thought. At Snowfeather's voice, she hastily pricked her ears to make it look like she hadn't gotten distracted. She caught Snowfeather's last few words and knew what she had been saying. Robinpaw opened her mouth and tasted the air'I can smell herbs not too far off' she mewed. Tasting the air again she meowed excitedly' I can smell mouse too!'

Sunpaw (with Sageflower, territory) Hawkeyes258Sunpaw gave a small nod in return to the medicine cat's reassurance. She still wasn't entirely convinced, but if Sageflower said it was alright, then it would be alright. Giving her pelt a shake to try and snap herself out of it, she managed to level her voice and ask, 'So what are we gonna collect today?'. Lakepaw (with Rosepaw, camp) Hawkeyes258Lakepaw jumped with excitment at Rosepaw's agreement and then immediatly tried to play it off by giving his fur a few licks. He wasn't sure what had come over him... maybe Honeypaw's coughing had made him jittery... Anyways. He raised his head from his mini grooming session and turned back to Rosepaw, lifting his nose nonchalently. 'Okay great,' he mewed cooly, 'lets get going then.' He started making his way towards the camp exit.
Birchfoot (patrol with many cats) @ anyone on the patrol Letting out a mildly annoyed huff of air, the warrior bounded after the apprentice as she disappeared into the undergrowth. He'd only been trying to be nice, he thought to himself as he leaped over stones and dodged swinging leaves set into motion by the bouncing Minnowpaw. He could hear the other cats on the patrol chatting amongst themselves, quizzing the apprentices on their prey awareness it seemed. He stayed silent as he continued to brood over Minnowpaw's brashness.

Sageflower: With Sunpaw Territory
"Mint, sage, basil and whatever else we can find." Sageflower answered flicking her tail. "I will point out what each looks like when we find them. Since we are searching near the river remember to be careful. The rains has made even the calmer parts of the river hazardous."
Rosepaw: with Lakepaw: Leaving camp
Rosepaw follows behind Lakepaw wondering why he was weird for a moment there. She didn't question it though eager to just beat him up again and make Lightingwhisper proud of her. Afterwards, she would either brag to her mother or to her sister.
Snowfeather: with Patrol in the forest
Snowfeather nods her head Robinpaw happy that at least one cat was paying attention. "Well done Robinpaw, you are correct. You always want to be aware of what is around you."
"Let's go ahead and try for fish." Lightingwhisper suggested. Personally, she was craving some fish and the fish could last for a little bit.

He quickened his pace to catch up to the patrol’s leader. “Everything alright there, Birchfoot’s?” Mallardblaze asked as he walked beside the other warrior.

Robinpaw swelled with pride at Snowfeather's praise, glad she had done well. Still smelling the mouse, she asked' Can I go and catch it?' Not wanting to dash off after it without permission and get in trouble.

"Go for it." Snowfeather figured it wouldn't hurt for Robinpaw to go after the mouse. The mouse could feed one of the elders or Morningpaw's kits. "Just be careful!"

On Patrol
'Ok, great!' Robinpaw meowed excitedly. Then she began to follow the mouse's scent, the smell of mouse grew stronger until she could see a light brown pelt scuffling about behind a log. Robinpaw tasted the air, relieved to find the wind blowing her scent away from the mouse. She began to cautiously creep up on the mouse, careful not to step on any dead leaves and alert her quarry. Soon, she was within pouncing distance of her prey, bunching her muscles, she took of in a leap. The alarm cry of a bird sounded and the mouse fled, but Robinpaw was fast and slammed her paw down on the mouse, giving it a killing bite. 'Thankyou StarClan for this prey' she murmured. Satisfaction filled her as she picked up her mouse and headed back to rejoin the patrol.

Minnowpaw w/ the PatrolMinnowpaw jolted to attention with a flush of embarrassment that she'd been bested by Robinpaw while she'd been spacing out. Well, spacing out might have been an exaggeration, it was more proper to say the gray she-cat had gotten a little to focused on the forest around them, rather on following the right trail. After all, it wasn't as if she'd gone this way that often and she hardly wanted to take them the wrong direction. Even so, she didn't want to come off as bitter, it was hardly Robinpaw's fault that Minnowpaw had gotten distracted. "Nice catch, Robinpaw." she exclaimed with a cheer that masked her own embarrassment soon enough. Honeypaw w/ Longpaw | moonclaw400 "Alright, thanks for the warning." Honeypaw sniffled despite his attempt to give the herbs a brief sniff. Accepting his nose simply wasn't up to snuff, he gathered the herbs up in his mouth and slowly chewed, though his nose wrinkled at the unpleasant flavor that soon coated the inside of his mouth.

Snowfeather gives Robinpaw a satisfied nod as Robinpaw return with a mouse. "Someone will enjoy that mouse whenever we return." She then cotinues to keep walking since Robinpaw managed to catch their prey.

Robinpaw ducked her head in embarrassment at her denmate's and Snowfeather's praise 'Thankyou' she mewed to the two she-cats. And to Minnowpaw she added' 'I'm sure you will catch something good as well' not wanting the younger she-cat to feel bad for not having caught something herself.

Something about his shy nature peaked her interest. He was certainly kind, she wondered why she hadn't talked much. "It is." She purred when Robinleap returned with his catch. "I must say I'm a little jealous of her. Must be nice to have romance in your life." The cream she-cat mused as she raised to her paws again. "Do you have anyone special?"

Robinleap with Pearmoon Robinleap's ears heated up with embarrassment as he dug a hole and dropped his prey in. He'd never really been asked a question like that. "Oh... I-I'm not sure," he replied nervously. Robinleap covered the hole with dirt; using his paw to scuff dirt over. "Um, how about you?" |

No all consuming love. Nothing to hold onto or make them the one 'special' cat to want to spent all her time with. "Hmm.. not really to be honest." She meowed. After Robinleap had buried his prey she started to walk onward, her nose lifted in the air to catch more prey scent. "But I'm sure our time will come. To find that special someone." The she-cat smiled at him over her shoulder.
