Crowpaw turned excitedly over to Silverleaf when the meeting was over "Mudfoot helped me get better at hunting birds. I thought I was good enough, but I think it worked." He started, a wide smile on his face. He really liked his mentor, and he didn't try to keep that a secret "I also did a ton of battle training, with the other apprentice's too. Probably not enough to get me to join with Eaglepaw's rescue. I want to do more, but Mudfoot has been really busy lately" His ears dropped a bit when he said this. He would like to be able to join the rescue, but part of him knew that Wolfstar would want the best of the best. He wasn't part of that group, and it would probably include a lot of quite a few senior warriors.
Xenia watched Sunny grab onto Fluffy from the corner of her eyes. She was still mostly looking at the ground, but she was at least partially able to watch him by watching his feet. "Do you need help?" She asked, trying to lift her gaze a bit but only partially succeeding. "It's just...may be better to have two of us watch him rather than just one. Though maybe a different cat would be better than me." She hoped that Gail didn't see that as Xenia questioning her decisions. It was mostly in light of the fact that he ran off once.

Silverleaf nodded, listening intently as he spoke, "well, it is essential that some cats stay to guard the camp. With new kits, the clan is vunerable to attack. Every cat has their role, even if it doesn't seem as exciting as others." She told him, speaking with an informative tone, she hoped he wouldn't be attending the rescue, the idea of losing him mad her feel sick. She hoped that Briareyes would also be saved from such a fate. Silverleaf didn't know what she would do if she lost either of them, she assumed she would continue to fulfill her role within the clan while slowly fading away in a sense. Loss was truly a terrible thing. She glanced to Briareyes again for a moment and gave him a small smile, one that many would not notice due to her usually cold expressions, before looking back to Crowpaw again, "I'm glad to hear that you are enjoying your apprenticeship. "Mudfoot is a wonderful cat, make sure you learn as much as you can from him." She advised him with a very formal tone, a hint of warmth in her voice.

Thundershade watches Patchpaw wondering if she was going to do anything reckless. He continues walking forward glancing around to see if anything was nearby. "Patchpaw tell me what do you smell?" He questioned.

Coyote flicked his ear to the sound of Crystal's groaning. He growled. "Nothing is "fun" here, Rat-face bringed in some clancats. And apparently, Fluffy attacked Stormy if I heard right" Coyote meowed to Crystal, insignificantly.

Rushingwater and Whitelily stared at Cheetahrunner with a flash of annoyance. Whitelily hissed loudly, it spooked Rushingwater slightly. "SO? Like I said we were spooked. Rushingwater tumbled and fell in the water while trying to get a squirrel. So be it and deal with it not everything is about you!" Whitelily snapped impatiently. Cheetahrunner could obviously tell Whitelily was lying, but did not question her and Rushingwater. "Very well, now that you are here. You two mouse-brains should report back to your duties and keep looking for prey then. We don't accept laziness, and foolishness. You are lucky the clan didn't know your absence for so long. Wolfstar would've chewed your tail off, now go" Cheetahrunner spoke with disgust. Rushingwater rolled his eyes and sneered. "We were just heading back to camp to rest, we will be back on our duties" Rushingwater voice sank and pushed away. Whitelily scowled after him. Cheetahrunner padded out of there sight, but took one last look of them and shrank away. Whitelily snarled. "Who put ants in her pelt. She's so arrogant. wish I could tear her throat out". Rushingwater did not say anything, but he nodded slowly as they reached camp. Familiar scents of cats filled around him. He shook his head in disgust. Whitelily scoffed at the cats walking by.

Patchpaw sniffed the air disappointed at the muddled smells, the other apprentices made it look so easy! She shook her head "I can't smell anything!" she moaned.

Whitelily perked her ears to the sound of Patchpaw's complaints. Satisfaction filled her, as she shoved Rushingwater. "What?" he rasped at her. "Look feather-brain watch this" Whitelily smirked at the she-cat. Rushingwater rolled his eyes again. "Picking on cats that's smaller than you're own size? Whitelily you're delusional!" Rushingwater didn't seem to meant what he said. He sounded sarcastic and eager to encourage Whitelily. Whitelily understood his tone. "Whatever, watch and learn of my ways" Whitelily said and padded to Patchpaw.
She took out one paw and boil the apprentice over, with a laugh.

"What! No i'm not!" Patchpaw said, fluffing up to make herself look bigger. She sniffed at the cats smelling her clans scent on them. "Hey, your'e from our clan, why would you bully one of your own?"she asked.

"You should ask Whitelily, but i'm only here for the free entertainment from this runt" Rushing Water brust out laughing. Whitelily purred, obviously trying to hold her laughter. "As if a puny apprentice can become warrior! Look! Patchpaw is pretending to be big and mighty warrior. I'm scared" Whitelily laughter of expression faded away to a snarl.

Cheetahrunner padded across the stretch boundaries of the territory. Marking every inch of it, and carefully tracing up scents. She's been super cautious about the rogues. Hoping they won't come between her the territory. It's been a tough day of hard-work, and she never rest yet because she wants to protect her clan at all cost.

Patchpaw growled, she thought of leaping at the cats, but decided against it, for they were much bigger than her. "I just started training! You can't expect me to be perfect already!" she said.

"Now...if you were my apprentice i'd give you a cuff around those ears you have there. Don't try and talk back to full-grown and made warriors" Rushingwater growled, as he flexed off his claws. Whitelily's tail swished from fro from back satisfied to encourage the apprentices anger.

(I can see Xenia and Stormy bonding over this and maybe slowly get a little more disconnected from the group if you’re up for it Ziotsu 🤔 I’d like to claim Stormy and make a form for her, I have plans for her hehe)
Stormy forcefully tried to swallow the lump that had formed in her throat. It wasn’t the first time she’d seen Gail or one of the other groupmembers do something gruesome. Maybe she just didn’t have the heart for it. Maybe she was a coward for not owning up to what she did wrong. She couldn’t bare to look at Fluffy’s bloodied face.

Eaglepaw shivered anxiously. What just happened? He couldn’t quite comprehend it yet. All he knew was that it was dark, pitch black. He couldn’t see anything and his face felt hot with gushing blood and stinging pains. It panicked him. What if he could never see anything again? Why didn’t she just kill him? Instead of making him suffer more. Heartless and ruthless. Nobody cared about him. He might as well bleed to death. Eaglepaw breathed heavily trying to gather his senses. He couldn’t walk by himself and he stumbled as Sunny gently pulled him.

Gail snorted as she pulled away from Eaglepaw, content with the result of her action. She nodded at Sunny. "You can ask Vicky to patch him up if he keeps bleeding." She meowed matter-of-factly. It was great to be able to take her anger out on something - or someone - especially when she always had to keep her cool. These were the moments that gave her some relief. And satisfaction. This clancat fully deserved what was coming and there wasn't a hair on her body that felt any compassion for him. "I don't think Fluffy will be able to do anything right now." She gestured to his bloodied face with her tail, a light grin lingering on her maw as she answered Xenia. "But you're free to join Sunny."

Pearmoon had been out on a walk to clear hear head. She'd caught a few pieces of prey on her way and now decided to go over to the lake to see whether she could add a fish to the prey pile. It was dangerous near the lake but since the death of her father she didn't care much whether rogues caught her or not. She'd been feeling quite gloomy, unsure how to get out of this dark pit. As she neared she noticed a shape laying on the shore and the closer she got the more it looked like a cat. "Swiftfox..?" She meowed, shock on her face at the state of the she-cat.

Patchpaw growled even louder. "Made warriors? You're acting like kits!" she said defiantly, hoping they wouldn't attack her for it.

Whitelily snarled with fury. "You'll never be made a good warrior. You obviously have thistle stuck in your ear to think you're worth something that your not. Come on let's go Rushingwater" the she-cat turned around, happy to get the last word. As Rushingwater followed after her hesistantly to be ordered by her.
Swiftfox flicked her ear to the sound of somebody calling her name. Her exhaustiveness still carried her, as she blankly opened her eyes to see Pearmoon. She searched through Pearmoon's gaze to see the shock in Pearmoon's eyes. She was to exhausted to speak, but she made out a word. "P..pearmoon?" Swiftfox closed back her eyes she was tired still.

"Swiftfox, oh! What happened to you?" Pearmoon hurried over to the warrior and carefully sniffed the her head to see whether she could pick up any strange smells. Swiftfox looked tired and battered. "Did the rogues get to you?" She lifted her head to cast a quick glance around them, making sure there was nobody that could be a threat. Relieved to pick up no dangers she turned back to the she-cat, her tail twitching worriedly as she waited to hear her story.

She then winced as she felt a sharp pain in her stomach. “Just a little bit of a belly ache, that’s all.” "Oh uhhh maybe we should get Sageflower to look at that" Oakstrike said "have you eaten too much prey lately?" he joked. "We should probably find something to do, Wolfstar won't like us sitting around doing nothing" he continued. |

Thundershade said nothing for now and continued the way to the river. He had half expected Patchpaw to do something impulsive but was impressed that she held back. Once they reached the river, Thundershade motions for them to stop. "This is the gushing river, this is where we come for water and to occasionally catch fish. Sometimes, the currents can be really strong so don't go swimming in it."

"But it looks fun!" she said looking at the water, she reached down to put a paw in the water and was immediatly suprised by the strength of the current. "You know what, never mind" she said "Sooo, what are we doing here?"

After Swiftfox got nearly drowned by Rushingwater. Her pelt was too wet to be scented since the scent washed away.
Swiftfox paused for a moment before she blackout. But it was hard to remember by the weird pain flarring in her ears that annoyed her. "I..don't know. at this point I-I blacked out and here I am. I remembered following somebody..." Swiftfox still had her eyes shut. She tried to remember who she followed, but the pain in her ear was worse.

Briareyes gave a wider smile back, giving the younger warrior a small comforting nudge. She held the same hope that Silverleaf would be spared from the battle. She was all Briareyes had left of Mousesplash and didn't want to imagine losing her.
Crowpaw gave a nod to Silverleaf "Maybe that's why I am getting trained in fighting so much." He mused, less worried about the battle than the two warriors. "I can't wait to become a warrior, though. Training is fun, but I want to be a warrior" He was certain that anything he didn't learn on his apprenticeship he would be able to learn as a warrior through less direct means. It wasn't like others stop learning once they get their warrior name, right? He glanced up to Briareyes for a second, trying to figure it out, but couldn't imagine his mother as anything less than a warrior. He turned back to Silverleaf, he at least had a few memories of her as Silverpaw when he was a kit.
(that is if my math is correct)
