Tempestclan: The Wild and Restless Open

Ratscar twitched her tail irritably, wanting to go and hide in the shadows and rest. She hurled around to face Gail. "They came on the territory dumping their stories on me. Besides, they were clan cats. Who just ran for the better'n for em'. They were attacked, and chased off .From some "blood-thirsty" monster. And since when we care about cats coming in they are visitors" Ratscar bared her teeth, but she didn't show aggression and neither fury. She wasn't trying to seem to challenge Gail. Ratscar wasn't defending the strange clan-cats, but she knew that nobody could gain her trust. 

Sunny shook his head, "I don't plan to attack her, I could never do that to her. We just get her to roll around in the dirt and maybe give her a scratch or two." He said with a slight laugh as if what Xenia said was a joke, "but who would believe that he out ran her? Look at him, he's skin and bones, I caught up with him and I'm one of the slowest cats in the group. Cats like you and Stormy are much faster than he is. They would assume that she just wasn't paying attention." His ears pinned back, "like I said, we don't need to, but I don't know what the group will think or do when they find out that Stormy wasn't able to do her job...What if they think she was on his side? Some of them are so reactive that they may never trust her agin. She's a good cat, she doesn't deserve that just because of a mistake." He shook his head again and sighed. "I'm just worried, that's all. Just... pretend I didn't say anything. It was a dumb idea." He added, glancing away from the cats, his tail dropping. "I'm sorry. Let's go." He told hem, forcing his voice to sound a bit anxious, he was a bit annoyed that his plan didn't work, but it wasn't the first time. 

Swiftfox followed the trail, among the lake. Sniffing out different cat scents and Whitelily's and Rushingwater's. Her heart pounded to find a trail of pawprints, and sniffed them. It smelled of rogue and Whitelily and Rushingwater. Her heart sink, thinking a fight happened. But there was no track of a recent fight.
What's really going on here She sniffed it out, and jumped over the tangled willow trees. The scent were very recent, and she felt like she was getting closer. Until her nostrils filled with scents of rogues, she let out a gag coughing. She wrinkled her snout, and padded foward near a well-made-camp ahead. She spotted two familiar shapes. Her eyes widened. Whitelily and rushingwater what are they doing there? She spotted other cats but they didn't pay attention to the two shapes. They weren't attacking them. Swiftfox stayed well hidden, in shock. But she didn't want to assume anything so she watched. Hoping she won't get caught.

Ratscar flatten her ears to the sight of Thorn.


Rushingwater stepped forward. "Hello, and good days to you all. We've came a long way, we are seeking shelter. Because we were being chased and attacked by those clan cats! TempestClan!". These savage creautures try to kill us! We were scorching out for days for food. Until...we met Ratscar who offered to take us here .Me and Whitelily offer if we can stay until we are better".

Ratscar snarled. It sounded like rushingwater was blaming her for his unexpecting appreance to the clan. But she also stiffened "TempestClan". She never knew the clan had actually a name.

Swiftfox growled in disbelief, what lie is he saying? She sheathed her claws to the lie rushingwater made. But she stood silent, it would be suicide coming from the bushes and get clawed by the rogues.

Swiftkit nodded, following his uncle. "So, what do you need to say?" he said. Patchkit was watching from across the clearing and saw Wolfstar emerge, she immediatly bounded up to him. "Is it time! Is it time!" she squeaked. Swiftkit ducked behind Wolfstar and hissed.

Ratscar hissed, and sheathed her claws. "No!" she spat in Gail's face with fury.
Rushingwater looked pleased. "Would you really drive us out, we are weak and helpless and can't even catch our own prey. You cats are heartless" Rushingwater announced arrogantly with a smirk.
Ratscar faced Rushingwater and the other rogues. Well done Rat-dung, now the cats who welcomed you with opened paws distrust you. Pathetic Ratscar shivered by the voice in her head and bared her teeth. "I could care less about them! But i'm neutral at this point. These vulnerable weaklings could die off by being chased by a angry mouse. He's got a point" Ratscar admitted through her teeth hesitantly as Rushingwater purred in delight with satisfaction. Whitelily hiss softly at Gail giving her the deadliest glare.

Swiftfox hissed softly. What is Rushingwater and Whitelily up too?!.

Sunny blinked, surprised that Stormy actually decided to go with his plan, "make sure you really get it caked in, and give yourself a few scratches too, you know, typical stuff. I would maybe pull out a chunk of fur while you're at it. Gail isn't flea-brained." He told her, watching as she disappeared, he glanced to Fluffy. "Do you guys say that too? Flea-brain?" He asked casually, unbothered by the whole situation. Regardless of the clan cat's response, he looked to Xenia, "I'm sorry to be putting you through this. I just can stand by while Stormy needs my help." He told her, seeming genuine. Of course he wasn't, he couldn't care less about what happened, but he knew that now she owed him one. "Maybe after this, they will realize that Fluffy can't be cooped up all of the time, it would drive any cat mad." He added with a whisper, keeping his voice low for stormy not to here. Once again he glanced to Fluffy and gave him a wink, though there was a hint of strained annoyance in his expression for a brief moment. Hopefully he hadn't missed anything interesting back at camp.

Silverleaf stood up when an she heard Wolfstar's call. She walked towards where all the other cat's gathered, trying her best to hide the small limp she still held. Her wound was almost completely healed at this point, but she had been careless with it, being active when she should have been resting, cause some strain to remain. Sageflower hadn't seemed worried, so neither was she- it was more of an embarrassment than anything. She glanced around until she found Crowpaw and Briareyes, then made her way to them. She sat down beside the apprentice, her tail tucked neatly over her paws and her eyes remaining on Wolfstar. Her ear flicked as she spoke, "I've heard you training has been going well." she purred quietly, pride in her voice as she spoke. Her eyes quickly glanced over to him, a small smile on her face for a very brief moment before she placed her attention back on their leader.

Larksong excitedly padded her way to the others, sitting down wherever she could to get a good view, her ears perked up and her paws kneading the ground as she waited.

Patchkit ran a few circles before sitting down in front of Wolfstar, her eyes grey so wide, you could almost se no white. Swiftkit started to panic, he had never seen so many cats in his life! He spotted Patchkit in the crowd and sat down by her.

Sageflower stops digging to turns her gaze to the entrance. She leaves her den and decides to take a spot near the edge of the crowd. She hoped the meeting would be quick ; she wanted to go back to putting herbs away for leaf-bare.

Once everyone was assembled, Wolfstar begins to speak. Patchkit , you have reached the age of six moons, and it is time for you to be apprenticed. From this day on, until you receive your warrior name, you will be known as Patchpaw. Your mentor shall be Thundershade! Thundershade this shall be your first apprentice but I trust you will teach Patchpaw all that you know."

Thundershade blinked surprised that his name had been called. He briefly looks over at Poppyfall before walking over to Patchpaw and touches her nose to his. Starclan help me to be patient.

"Aw yeah!" Patchpaw said, running over to Thundershade. Swiftkit watched, confounded by all the new words.

Crowpaw turned excitedly over to Silverleaf when the meeting was over "Mudfoot helped me get better at hunting birds. I thought I was good enough, but I think it worked." He started, a wide smile on his face. He really liked his mentor, and he didn't try to keep that a secret "I also did a ton of battle training, with the other apprentice's too. I want to do more, but Mudfoot has been really busy lately" His ears dropped a bit when he said this.

Owlpaw smiled lightly Patchpaw and Thundershade. He hoped to learn better why Wolfstar made these choices, not that he disagreed. He just hoped to understand the process of picking a bit better. He glanced up at Sageflower for just a moment, wondering if there were two medicine cats if Wolfstar would have had to choose one of the two to mentor him. It was a useless thought, and he knew it, but it was still there. Shaking it off, Owlpaw stood up to pad quietly back to the medicine cat den, tail high as he was eager to get back to the leaf bare prep.

Smokekit had bounded after her mother, and sat by her staring up at Wolfstar so high above them. The meeting was quick, but it felt like forever. She didn't know what was happening entirely, just that Patchkit was now Patchpaw. She stared up curiously at Badgerclaw "She's an apprentice now?" She asked, this was the first time she has seen this ceremony, but she knew what apprentices were.

Xenia gave a quick your welcome, intending to continue the conversation but Stormy had returned. She settled for saying "We will get them next time, I am glad we can back towards camp" She gave a welcome nod to Stormy, looking her over and how messy she was. Who would believe that anything less than a fight happened? She looked to Sunny for a second "I think it's good enough. If I didn't know you were just in the bushes, I would have believed a fight happened"

Swiftkit twitched his tail when the leader mentioned his name, but only nodded.

Patchkit looked up at Wolfstar, and shook her head. She bounded up to Thundershade "Hey hey! So when do we start?!" she asked, eager to get right into it.

Stormy was content with the reactions of the other two. "Let's head back." She meowed and took the lead again, eager to get the clancat back to camp as soon as possible. It was better to get this over with. Though, she felt more nervous with every step. Hopefully she could hide behind Sunny a little, he was more confident anyway.

Eaglepaw sighed deeply as he was pushed forward by the two cats again, forced to go back to their camp. He was done with everything and longed to roll up in a ball, even though he didn't want to go to that den again. He'd studied every crack, rock and twig inside already. It drove him crazy.

Poppyfall's proud feeling at Thundershade's mentorship made place for the serious matters that Wolfstar shared with the clan. She nodded approvingly at his plans. "Will we try to drive out the rogues for good at the same time of this mission?" The red she-cat piped up, peering at the leader from where she was sitting. She'd never thought of it before but if she were to start a family some day she didn't want to live under the constant stress of dealing with the rogues. Besides, they'd been terrorizing the clan long enough. Enough cats had died already.

(Repost with Silverleaf changed- didn't realize the announcement was still going sorry! Also Ziotsu I was thinking of having Sunny be honest about his past/not lie to Gail since he respects her. IDk what you think of that. I just think he doesn't want to get kicked out so he figures lying to her would be a bad move since he isn't dumb, just impulsive. Like he would tell her what really happened with Stormy but point out that the group is so reactive that they would probably shun her over it and stuff. Or even just flat out tell her that he thought it would benefit him to have something over her. I don't know Gail's character well enough to make that call though. )

Sunny nodded, agreeing with Xenia. Both Stormy and the clan cat had the scent of each other as well which would help with their story. “Alright, then let’s go.” He purred, he looked down to Xenia, “we will say that it all like how it actually happened but when we saw Stormy she looked like this. The less details the better.” He explained, turning is head back to the path ahead of them. He followed closely behind Fluffy, ready to stop the young tom as needed. He could see how nervous Stormy was, which was good. In his mind, he was actually helping her more than she knew. He was aware of how some of the group could be, Vicky for example was always quick to react to anything she disliked- not that it was a bad thing, cats like Vicky would have done well in the Twoleg place. Here though, with the clan coming any day now, in fighting would be more of a pain than anything. He had to hide a grin, maybe he hadn't lied for just himself...oh boy, was he becoming soft... No, he just was saving himself a headache while also getting some dirt on his group mates. No pure intentions.

Silverleaf's ears pinned back at Wolfstar's announcement. To be perfectly honest, she didn't think that going after the apprentice was worth it. It had been over a moon, the clan has had time to recover and so has the group of rogues. There could have more deaths and injuries all for an apprentice who may not be alive. She did not say anything, though she wanted to. Crowpaw was right beside her, she couldn't have him feel betrayed or hurt by her opinions. The clan code stated the clan comes before the life of a single cat, and she felt that it should be followed here. For all they knew, Eaglepaw could not be the same as he was before. Why risk the lives of warriors and apprentice for one cat? Not to mention that the camp would then be less protected if they sent so many. Even if the rogue group was distracted, what would stop a predator from coming and attacking while they were gone. She took a deep breath and relaxed herself, embarrassed that she had allowed her emotions to slip out like that. She just hoped no one else noticed.
