"Come on in Larksong! Oakstrike is away and I was getting a bit lonely, even with these three" she said Larksong purred in response. Trotting into the den to look at the kits. "Wow, they're so tiny." She mewed in hushed excitment. She bounced on her paws as she stared down at future warriors. "They must be a blessing from Starclan if they came today of all days. I'm sure everyone in the clan will be super happy when they get the chance to see them." The young she-cat added, looking up to the queen with a friendly smile. "It must have been scary for you, with everything that happened today." She added, a tinge of saddness in her voice, but she quickly got distracted by the kits again. "So small!"

"It was scary" she said. Twigkit crawled to the new cat and brushed against her, wondering who it was. "That's Larksong, Twigkit" Badgerclaw said, gently licking her kit.

Larksong nearly jumped from excitement when she felt the kit. She stared down at it with bright green eyes. She let out a loud purr, giving Badgerclaw a thankful look. She thought of how soon it would be until she would get to play with the kits, the thought made her want to try to play with them now but she knew better. "I hope I get to mentor one of them."

"I'll put in a good word for you with Wolfstar" she said watching Twigkit. "I better hope that the rouges won't come back" Badgeclaw mewed, scooping her two kits a bit closer, though she left Twigkit with Larksong.

Larksong shook her head. "They won't" She said with false confidence, simply relying on her gut feeling. She glanced around the nursery as she spoke, it was smaller than she remembered...She looked back at Badgerclaw, realizing that she had just drifted off while they were talking. "At least, I hope they won't."

Badgerclaw sighed. "Poor Eaglepaw, Wolfstar and Screechfang must be so worried" she mewed. "At least Patchkit will be an apprentice very soon" she said. Upon hearing Badgerclaw mention her Pachkit raised her head proudly and walked over. "Who do you think my mentor will be?" she piped up.

Rosekit couldn't help but listen to the others chat while Snowfeather lazily licks her head. She couldn't wait to play with Badgerclaw's kits once they were older.

(I'm ready for the skip as well ) Briareyes' tail flicked a little "I am sure it will help lift the clan's spirit" She was certain that is what Oakstrike had meant, but she couldn't help but feel a bit uncomfortable with the statement. She walked back towards where they had left the rest of the prey, thinking on the conversation they just had "I really hope that we get him back soon, it would be nice to see all of the apprentices together, including Patchkit"

(Since everyone is ready I'm going to have Wolfstar name a deputy and say a few words. then the timeskip. If you want your characters could react then go into the timeskip but up to ya'll)
Once every cat had been treated and had been given time to rest, Wolfstar leaps up to the ledge and calls the clan to join him. He waits for everyone to meet him before finally speaking. "Today has been a heavy day. Blazestorm was a amazing deputy, father, and valuable friend. He will be missed by all. The rogues have taken Eaglepaw, and we don't know what they have in store for him. For now, we must heal and prepare ourselves to fight another day." He allowed his words to settle as a couple of cats nod their heads in agreement. "However, not all is lost. We are still breathing and we will not let this injustice stand! The rogues think that they have broken us, but it takes a lot more than that to break a Tempestclan cat's spirit! We will come back stronger! Eaglepaw will come back home and the rogues will pay for everything they have done!"
This caused many cats to cheer and chat the clan's name until Wolfstar places his tail up to silence them. "There is some good news out of this. Badgerclaw has just given birth to her kits! These little ones along with the other kits in the nursery are our future and we must all work together to provide the best future for them. Now, with all that being said, let's get down to the real reason I have called you all here. I had a tough time choosing the next deputy. This cat is loyal, kind and willing to step up if necessary. I name Mudfoot as the newest deputy of Tempestclan!"
Falconfrost blinked a little surprised. He half expected himself to be elected. However, he had no objections and began to chat. "Mudfoot! Mudfoot!" Screehfang began to join in followed by everyone else in the clan.

(Sunny will still be just guarding the den. )
Silverleaf watched the announcement, pleased with the result. Mudfoot was a good candidate for the position and known for his loyalty. Whole she did not join in the cheers, she nodded along, showing her quiet approval of the decision.
Lark song was one of the loudest to cheer on Mudfoot. She felt excited that everyone was in such a good mood. The she-cat bounced on her rear paws as she called his name, enjoying the excitement in the air at Wolfstar’s decision.
——(time skip)——
Silverleaf entered the camp with prey hanging from her mouth, her gaze was steady on the path to the fresh-kill pile as she walked forward, a slight limp still in her step but she appeared unbothered by it. She was almost completely ignoring Larksong who walked beside her, only a flick of her ear signalling her acknowledgment of the chatty she-cat.
Larksong was seeming to be unaware of Silverleaf’s disinterest, talking through the bundle of prey in her mouth enthusiastically as she followed the small cat into camp. When they were a few fox lengths away from the fresh kill pile, Larksong bounded a head, dropping off her prey before rushing back to silverleaf to offer to carry some of her’s.
Silverleaf was taken aback slightly but allowed the younger cat to help her, mewing a quiet “Thank you.” As they walked together to the fresh-kill pile. Silverleaf, not feeling hungry, retired to the outside of the warriors den to lay in the sun, hoping the warmth would ease her muscles, which were still sore from the battle.

(One Moon Later)
A lot has happened since that fateful day with the rogues. Wolfstar ordered most of his clan to avoid the border near the lake except to do patrols in the morning or at night. There had been a few skirmishes with the rogues, but nothing to deadly or serious. He and Mudfoot have chosen specific group of cats to scout the rogue camp from a reasonable distance to get a lay of the land and how the rogues moved about the day. Every bit of information was being used to come up with the best plan of attack to rescue Eaglepaw. As the sun rises higher in the sky, Wolfstar could tell from the wind and the leaves that leaf-fall would soon be on it's way. Right now, he was waiting on the two hunting patrols to return. Today was Patchkit's apprentice ceremony and he knew the young kit was dying to finally become an apprentice.
Screechfang, Falconfrost Oakpaw and Thundershade return from training. Oakpaw looked exhausted but he didn't care. He found himself trying to be tougher and act a little more mature than before. Didn't really help that Screechfang made him work harder than ever during training.
Lightingwhisper watches as Thundershade greets Poppyfall before settling down near the warrior's den. She began to notice that her brother and Poppyfall had been spending a lot more time together which made her suspicious that something was going on. He seemed to barely have time to train or hunt with her and Shadowblaze. Shadowblaze knew about the crush his brother had on Poppyfall but didn't relay that information with his sister. It wasn't his business plus seeing Lightingwhisper get all worked up amused him.
Sageflower managed to replenish her herbs and was gathering extra herbs for leaf-bare. She wasn't sure how bad the cold weather would be and wanted to be prepared.
Snowfeather allows herself to rest as Rosekit plays with a moss ball. She trusted Rosekit not to go anywhere, not after the talk her and Scorchtail eventually gave her and Shellkit.
Bluehawk and Rainpaw were over by the river trying to catch as many fish as they could. The were apart of the first hunting patrol.
~~ Rogue Camp
Thorn was standing watch near the edge of the rogue camp. After a moon of no rescue attempt, he couldn't help but be a little on edge. He half expected them to come charging in like a couple of weeks ago. He knew Gail said not to worry yet he did not to sit around and do nothing. Besides, he swears he could smell the clan cats in their territory!
Amber and Rock were chatting among themselves.
Ollie stares out across the lake as the waves gently lap against the shore. It had been a moon since Jax death and despite getting to attack Eaglepaw, he still didn't feel any better. This past moon he felt lost and a little out of place within the group

(was Smokekit's form good? I want to be certain before I rp her)
Briareyes had spent the last moon trying to rekindle the friendship she had with Oakstrike and Badgerclaw. She also was very willing to help Badgerclaw with her first litter if she asked. Sometimes it was nice to let someone else watch the kits for just a bit, so she wanted to keep that option open. She had watched Crowpaw get better at his warrior training, but she could tell the recent battle had pushed him farther into his insistence on focusing only on training. She worried for his relationship with the other clan members if all he cared about was getting past his shortcomings. With each passing day, she feared the worst for Eaglepaw. She wanted to stay optimistic, but she was worried about his wellbeing. It had already been a moon! She knew that Wolfstar was looking out for the clan, and making sure that they were ready for the rescue, but she didn't want to wait any longer.
Crowpaw was growing more and more nervous as the days went on. He was getting closer and closer to his warrior assessment, and now that his mentor was the deputy he felt like he needed to do well when the time came. How bad would it be if the deputy's apprentice failed their warrior assessment? He shuddered a bit at the thought. At the moment he was outside of the apprentice's den, scanning the camp for his mentor to see if there was any training to be done today or if Mudfoot was busy with his duties.
Since Blazestorm's death, Owlpaw felt like things were even busier. He spent the last moon helping Sageflower restock the herbs in the den. He felt like it had been a whirlwind for the last moon, though he wasn't certain that Sageflower felt the same way. A big positive was the fact that he was steadily growing more and more confident on identifying different herbs, even if he was still shaky on how to use all of them.
Xenia was grateful that her injuries healed faster than she expected, she wondered if it was due to the herbs used. It was something that she wasn't used to since last moon was the first time she ever had herbs like that used on her wounds. She had been busy the last moon, trying out new hunting techniques, keeping a distant eye on the cat they brought back with them, or trying to gather up the courage to start asking Sunny for more help. She had yet to actually ask him, the closest she got was actually starting a conversation, but she didn't get the courage to ask him more questions. Today she swore she would ask him, maybe see if he could leave their camp so he could help her with hunting. When it came to the murderer, she slowly started to feel pity for him. It had already been a moon and there was little to no sign that the clan was coming for him. She could understand that feeling of being abandoned, though possibly to a lesser extent. She shook off this feeling of pity, at least the best she could, and started to pad around the camp to see if anyone has seen Sunny yet today.

Mudfoot entered the camp with prey hanging from his jaws, observing the camp as he made his way over to the fresh-kill pile. It seemed like everyone was back from their patrol or training, which is a good thing since Patchkit has been bugging to become an apprentice. He dropped the prey in the pile and caught a glimpse of Larksong, making his way over to her. She was always talkative and he was up for conversation, “hey Larksong, how was your hunt?” He asked her with a smile.
Sandfeather followed her brother into camp with prey hanging from her jaws as well, dropping the pray in the pile. She took herself over near the den where Silverleaf was lying and decided to lay down as well, enjoying the bit of sun that was showing through the clouds while she could. It rained so much she was never able to sunbathe, but it wasn’t as bad she liked to think it was.
——
Pumpkin noticed Ollie by the lake, observing that the tom had been spending a lot of time along. She slowly approached him, not wanting to startle him since he looked in a train of thought. “Hey Ollie, how are you doing?” She asked him nicely, she knew everything had been hard on him and he hadn’t been talking much around the camp. She sat next to him and looked out into the water, silently hoping he would enjoy the company.

Patchkit paced back and forth in front of the nursery. Badgerclaw rested inside of the den, cleaning her kits. Oakstrike walked into camp, bringing two squirrels and a rabbit. He dropped a rabbit by Badgerclaws side and took a squirrel for himself. "The kits should be old enough to eat prey" Badgerclaw said, taking the other squirrel from Oakstrike and handing it to the kits.

Larksong spun around quickly when she heard someone call her name, her ears and tail perked up high in a friendly manner. "Oh, hi Mudfoot!" She greeted with a purr. "The hunting went great, it was nice to get to hunt with Silverleaf. She always refused to go with me when I was an apprentice." The she-cat told him, staring down at the fresh-kill pile as she tried to pick what she wanted. It was hard to chose when there were so many options. "She doesn't talk a lot but she is a really good listener- I think I was talking more than hunting." She added with a laugh, soon picking out a smaller sized wood dove that she had caught. "What about you and Sandfeather?" She asked, her voice muffled by feathers.
----
Silverleaf gave Sandfeather a nod of acknowledgement. She had found herself being more and more comfortable with the she-cat. She found that they seemed to share a decent amount of the same opinions, and, despite not being clan-born, Sandfeather seemed extremely loyal to the clan as a whole. The silver cat began to groom her pelt, despite her best efforts, the mud and water from the large battled seemed to have damaged it to an extent; it was improving, but she was sure it wouldn't return to it's usual softness until it regrew.
----
Sunny had spent the last moon trying to get as close to the clan-clan. While he didn't spend a lot of the time with the cat, when he did, it would be to give him food, advice, feed him false stories and repeat. It was entertaining, but starting to grow dull. He found that there had been almost nothing to do since the battle, though he would be told to go hunt or patrol here and there. The golden tom glanced around camp, noticing the small white she-cat, Xenia. She seemed to have been following him around like a lost kit since they talked after the battle, not that he minded though. She always seemed to be distracted, and hesitate, making him wonder what was going on inside her head. "Are you looking for someone?" He asked her as he approached, suspected that she had been looking for him.

Xenia was not expecting Sunny to walk up to her, but she couldn't say she was upset. At the very least now she didn't have to go looking for him. Okay she was ready, he as asking if she was looking for someone it would be simple to explain the situation. All she had to ask was for some pointers when it came to her hunting. But she said "I was looking for someone who wanted to go hunting" instead of actually admitting to anything. At the last second she lost confidence and couldn't get the words out that she wanted. Maybe she would have an easier time asking outside of camp. "Since you're here, do you want to go?" She knew that Sunny was spending a bit with the clan cat, so it was possible he was supposed to keep an eye on the cat. She would hope that wasn't the case, it was hard enough to talk to even one cat about it, so a second would only add more difficulty.

Sunny blink, not expecting her reasoning. He thought she had been activity looking for him for a more specific reason opposed to it simply being for hunting. He wasn't exactly in the mood, but went along with it regardless. It would at least beat him just laying around here. "Anything for you Xenia." He responded in his usual teasing fashion, though he quickly realized that Xenia would not provide him the response he normally got from the others in the group; which mostly consisted of an eye roll or grumbling, sometimes a thinly veiled threat that gets forgotten the next day, typical reactions one would expect from a group of battle hardened rogues. Xenia seemed so passive that he didn't think she would react much to anything he did. To be honest, he found her one of the cats he had more trouble figuring out. She just seemed happy to be in the group, never talking about herself very often. He would be lying if he said he wasn't a tad bit curious about her. "I'll let you lead the way." He added, giving the much smaller cat a nod.

Mudfoot slightly giggled at Larksong, she was always so energetic. “We’re good, I don’t know if I’ll ever be a deputy good as Blazestorm but I sure try.” He mewed and gave her a hopeful gaze. He was no stranger to self doubt, and when he was appointed deputy he couldn’t help but doubt himself. But with each day he has become more confident and and sure of himself. “Anyways, anything new? Any gossip? I’ve been so busy I think I’ve missed out,” he joked, but felt like it was true. There was always some sort of rumor or drama going on but since he became deputy he’s been left out of it. Unless everything was really laid back, but he doubted it.

Larksong sat down, placing her bird in front of her as she thought, trying her best to recall anything she had overheard or been told. "Some cats think we will go save Eaglepaw soon since it has been a moon. Some think he's dead though." She told him, appearing a bit upset at the thought of the apprentice meeting such a fate. The calico tried to think of anything else she had heard. Often he doesn't take part in gossip, a lot of it just made her upset. "I can't think of much else. Everyone seems happy again though, most at least." She added. She knew that there were still many that were struggling with the losses. "I hope that we can save him soon. He must be so scared."

Xenia laughed at the way that Sunny had replied. "That's a bit dramatic" It was just a offer to go hunting-at least that is as far as she said. It wasn't like she minded, it was just quite a bit different than what she was expecting to hear. "I don't really have a particular spot, I normally pick an direction and go" She admitted, though taking up the lead like Sunny had suggested. She wouldn't say no, at the very least they would find prey at some point. Silently she debated on which direction she wanted to go. The river was a nice place, but it would put them close to the clan territory. While she wasn't normally that hesitant on getting close to clan territory, she didn't like the idea of running into any of them today. She was too far into her plan to let it be ruined by some clan cats. Instead she decided to go in the opposite direction, trying to put as much distance between them and the clan as possible.

Wolfstar sees Patchkit pacing and decides to walk over to her. Perhaps, he could pass the time chatting with her while he waited on the patrol. "Excited for your ceremony?" He asked.

Scorchtail sat by the freshkill pile, lost in deep thoughts. His life had felt like a mess. The uneasy relationship with Snowfeather, the loss of Mystic, the death of his father. And now both of his kits had been troublesome in different ways. Though, Rosekit probably inherited her knack for getting in trouble from him so he could easily relate to her. Shellkit was a different story; she was defiant towards every word he said and it made it difficult for him to try and bond with her. Maybe he could ask Snowfeather how to fix this but he didn't want to burden her too much with his presence.
------
Poppyfall's ears perked up when Thundershade approached her. "Hey you." She smiled warmly, while looking up from the squirrel that laid in front of her. "Do you want to share?" The red she-cat offered, shoving the piece of prey into Thundershade's direction. She had a hard time processing her father's passing this past moon and the black warrior's companionship had been something that really helped her pull through. It always made her happier to be around him, more than she dared to admit.
-------
Pearmoon was still curled up in her nest, her creamy tail draped over her face. Usually, she'd be one of the first ones to go out for a hunt and take in the sunrays. Or chat around with her clanmates. However, since her father's death she hadn't felt the desire to get up and do anything anymore. Her siblings had tried to console her but to no avail. She'd been incredibly close to Blazestorm and his death had punched a big hole in her life.
-------
Shellkit sat at the entrance of the nursery, watching Patchkit through slitted green eyes. It was unfrair that that troublemaker would become an apprentice before her, even though she was younger herself. She was bitter that her and Rosekit had to have a talk with their parents because of the mindless little adventure her sister and Patchkit went on. Of course, Shellkit wasn't just going to let that fly by easily and she had told Scorchtail to eat his words. Since he didn't follow clanrules either. It earned her a firm scolding from both her parents.
-----
Eaglepaw was curled up in the corner of the den, his back turned to the opening. Every day was more of the same now and slowly but surely the tom felt his mind slip into a pit of depression. Did his clanmates forget about him? Or did they think he was dead already? It ate at him. He kept praying to Starclan, pleading to his mother to send help but he started to feel it was all useless; his ancestors didn't seem to care about his fate either. The apprentice sighed with defeat. He wasn't going to give up yet though, he had to do something. Next time they would go out he would try to run away. It was enough. He would rather die trying to get his life back than be stuck here forever, being treated as dirt by these lowlives.
