( Could Wolfstar (or any other cat) mentor Eaglepaw? I'd rather not rp with myself ;p ) speckledfinch Hawkeyes258 // Eaglepaw pondered for a moment on his sister's question. He gazed at the place where she spotted the rogue. One rogue seemed easy enough to handle. "I say we confront him." The apprentice meowed with a determined nod. "He's not supposed to be here anyway, let's teach him a lesson." He glanced at the other two apprentices for approval and lowered himself to his haunches to stalk towards the rogue. ------ Jax nodded at Ollie. "Yeah that sounds like a plan." He knew his friend had a hard time shaking off the prejudices that came with having been a housecat. This would be an excellent time to prove himself. Surely they'd be welcomed back like heroes when they tell Gail about chasing off clancats. ------ Blazestorm set his paw down after he’d removed every last trace of the herbs from his whiskers. His pale green gaze searched the ground in front of him, looking for the right words to explain his thoughts. He cleared his throat awkwardly. Overall Blazestorm was a pretty confident cat but talking about deep personal issues was something he’d rather avoid. “I’ve been thinking… and uh - maybe I should resign from my position as deputy. Giving room for young blood to support Wolfstar.” He paused for a heartbeat, shuffling his paws under him. “My leg has been worse these last moons and even though I consider it a great honor to be Tempestclan’s deputy, I really want to see my grandkits grow up.” Seeing Ivykit, Rosekit and Shellkit run around had brought him an unexpected amount of joy. It had made him think more about his own future and the future of the clan. “But I’d only resign after the rogues are defeated. I wouldn’t leave Wolfstar’s side in these difficult times. I haven’t discussed it with him yet either - I don’t want to put extra stress on him.” The red tom explained, his eyes meeting the medicine cat’s as he waited for her opinion on all this. He wasn’t totally sure about it yet but it was a relief to finally have voiced his thoughts to someone. |

"Oh!" Her ears swivel upwards in surprise as the deputy speaks, leaning forward in an alert manner out of interest and not seeming to pick up on Blazestorm's initial fumbling around the topic. She hadn't heard of deputies being allowed to resign- even in spending most of her life in the clans, some new intricacies still sneak up and surprise her- but she's already willing to fight for Blazestorm's right to do so. His fears of being worked to the bone before his grandkits were able to grew up tug at her heart. She'd seen the boisterous little kits a few times herself for their various play-related ailments, and she could be sure she didn't want to see them mourning their grandfather. "I'll fully support your choice," she blurts a bit too fast after he speaks before abashedly soothing down her ruffled fur and returning her gaze to him. "It's good for kits to grow up knowing there are lots of cats who love them," she says, slower this time, "and the time you've spent serving as deputy won't be forgotten. I don't know what Wolfstar will say, but I'll vouch for you on this." She smiles at him warmly, and then a curious look appears on her face. "Oh, do you have a successor in mind?"

Blazestorm smiled gratefully. “Thank you. I think more rest will be better for my leg too.” The more he thought about it, the more reasons there seemed to be to have himself replaced as deputy. It would be the best for the clan. The deputy needed to be someone that would be a good match against any threat. Fit and agile. He wasn’t sure whether he fit that description anymore. The red tom shook his head at Coalheart’s question. “No, I’ll leave that up to Wolfstar when the time comes. We have a lot of great warriors in our clan. I trust him to be able to pick the right cat.” Blazestorm stretched his frontlegs before he raised to his paws. “I guess I’ve taken up enough of your time. Thank you again for listening to my worries and if you need anything you can always come up to me. I’ll go talk to Wolfstar about a visit to the Whispering Cave.” He turned around with his bushy tail rippling behind him. “Unless you’d like to join me?” He asked, glancing over his shoulder at the black she-cat. Having good communication between the three of them was very important to assure everything was going smoothly within the clan.

Oakpaw rolled his shoulders back feeling nervous but ready. He hoped the rogue wasn't a big cat. "Let's do this." He mutters mostly to himself. Feeling confident, Ollie walks forward with his tail held up high. He could hardly wait to show these clan cats who was boss! Once they were close enough, Ollie calls out, "Who goes there! We know you are out there!" He figured being upfront was the way to go. ( Jademist speckledfinch) |

Hawkeyes258 speckledfinch // Jax walked by Ollie’s side, nodding as his friend called out. He had a determined look on his face, his eyes going around the place to catch the clancats revealing themselves. Much to Eaglepaw’s dismay he heard the rogue call out before they could make a move. He hissed under his breath before rising back into his full shape. “You’re trespassing on clan territory.” He growled, his dark colored tail lashing behind him. His yellow gaze turned to slits as he watched Ollie but it widened in surprise when another rogue followed close behind. Two rogues. They should’ve known those foxhearts liked hiding in the shadows. There might even be more of them around.. Though that didn’t stop Eaglepaw from holding his ground. They were with three capable apprentices. They could handle this.

Her heart skips a beat as the second rogue appears out of nowhere, cursing at herself for not tracking better. She'd have rather held him back, but didn't get the chance to.
Don't do anything too stupid Eaglepaw! She hisses in her head without thinking much of herself. By moving closer to Oakpaw's side she makes sure they don't go too far, and instead tries to keep a tight formation behind Eaglepaw.
The young she seemingly turns her head towards the tom next to her, but it was beyond the fluffy neck of his. She might as well be thinking the same as her littermate. Were there more?
Her attention returns to the rogues, and she joins in. "That's right! Leave now or we'll drive you out ourselves!"

Ollie takes a small step towards them. "We aren't scared of you!" He growled as he unsheathed his claws. "Not everything has to belong or revolve around you!" Shame the clan cats couldn't just share the land. Everything had to belong to them! "I suggest you three beat it or else!" Oakpaw glances between his friends and the rogues wondering how this was going to pan out. He didn't see either of them backing down. (@shottab Jademist) |

(Finally here! I’m really sorry for the long delay, I haven’t been feeling the best and I’ve had some busy days. Hopefully I can pick up a faster pace again!!!) Jax eyed the the cats before them. They seemed young, somewhat around the same age as Ollie and him. But there were three of them. However, clancats had a code and the rogues certainly did not. So the clancats wouldn’t kill or play dirty, would they? That meant the two of them could handle the clancats. They played by their own rules - it gave them more of an element of surprise in battle. He couldn’t agree more with what Ollie said. “Or else? What are you two going to do about it?” Eaglepaw hissed as the fur along his spine raised in irritation. As the rogues unsheathed their claws, so did Eaglepaw. He took a step closer to the pair, hoping they would back away. In the corner of his eye he could see his clanmates closely near him. Did they have the same plan? They’d have to attack if the rogues wouldn’t back off. Trespassing is against the clan rules. Besides, any reason to make a rogue’s life difficult was enough reason for him to take a stand. speckledfinch Hawkeyes258 |

"Teach you entitled brats a lesson!" Ollie hissed. He lunges forward and crashes into Eaglepaw clawing and biting at him. Ollie knew the only way out of this was through a fight. They were outnumbered but he was confident considering of the cats seemed hesitant to fight.
Oakpaw's eyes widened as the rogue started attacking Eaglepaw. He waited to see how his friend would fight back. Oakpaw knew his friend could handle himself in a fight but what if the rogues called for reinforcements?

Kestrelpaw (IM SO LATE I'M SORRY- Also new people!)
She takes one paw forward as her brother moves. She looks between the three, then to Oakpaw, then back to their targets. All of the sudden Kestrelpaw felt like they shouldn't be doing this, but if its for Eaglepaw's satisfaction then she'll join him in this fight.
But what about Oakpaw? She hadn't time to think about him right now, because one of the cats had lunged forward and she wasted no time and latched onto the neck of the cat who had started to charge at her brother. Her fangs glinted in the low-light of the mist and she went to bite at their cheek.
Her over-protectiveness had begun to show due to attacking without much plan in the heat of the moment, and she'd rather the two advance to the other.
Whatever hesitancy the two rogues were possibly thinking? Were mistaken.
There was no going back now. The she's green eyes flashed. "You get off my brother!"

(Welcome new people!! And it’s okay speckled, glad to see you’re still here ^^) Hawkeyes258 speckledfinch // Jax wasn’t about to wait around and followed his friend into the fight. He flung himself at Oakpaw with unsheated claws and bared fangs. The clancats deserved what was coming to them. He aimed for Oakpaw’s frontlegs, hoping to unbalance the tom by hurting him there. “Don’t think you’ll get off without a scratch.” He hissed and bit at the apprentice’s legs. Eaglepaw was surprised that the rogue would lunge forward that fast. He growled and yowled in anger when he felt the claws tearing at his skin. Adrenaline pulsed through him as he wrestled and clawed at his opponent. Only heartbeats later he could hear Kestrelpaw throwing herself into the battle. With his sister’s help it wasn’t long before he could wrestle himself free from Ollie’s grip. What should he do now? Go back at Ollie or help Oakpaw with Jax? He decided he’d give Ollie a piece of his mind and help Oakpaw after. They were three strong apprentices after all, so this should work out. He flung himself back at Ollie, gripping the tom at the opposite side of his sister. |

Oakpaw sprang into action as the rogue attacked. He takes note of the rogue snapping at his leg and swipes at the tom hoping to get either his face or ear. Ollie felt his heart racing as he wrestled with Eaglepaw. He couldn't see his friend Jax but hoped he would be okay. He felt teeth grab him and attempts to move around to scratch at whoever was holding him. Around this time, the tom he attacked latched on and Ollie attempt to kick out at him ( Jademist and speckledfinch) |

Thank you! I appreciate the info. I will probably just stick to RPing as a few characters for now though until I settle in. (Oh no I meant to rp with you!! Sorry for the confusion!) I've come to the conclusion that I am not at all comfortable with creating a character who is automatically ranked as an apprentice/warrior and have them be magically inserted into the plot out of nowhere. I request that you delete any character profiles I have created that have since been transferred to the first page; Silentsong, Clash, and Darkpaw are no more. I am going to wait until a queen eventually has kits and at that point I'll ask the individual RPing said queen if one of the kits could be a character that I could RP as. So, my apologies Jademist but I'm not available for RPing right now. |
