I still kinda get scared about getting shots, but not because of the shot itself, because of that fact that I can get quite dizzy afterwards.

I'm a sophomore in high school. I'm getting shots soon, and this is what I've tried to do: Asked for local anesthetic cream (or whatever form that is) Asked for anxiety meds. Talked to my psychologist about it (the only thing that actually ended up working as hoped) Talked to my... whatever you call the psychologist that prescribes medicine about getting anxiety meds. Debated talking to a friend with anxiety issues (I ended up asking a different friend if that was a bad idea. He said yes.)

i havent had a shot since i was like 6 so idk is im afraid of them or not

I act calm when getting a shot. I'm not afraid of the shot itself, since it goes so quickly. Depending on the vaccine, I may feel nervous (this was mainly with my middle school vaccines). I tend to have horrible side effects to most vaccinations. Once, I even had a steady 104 fever for two days. In the end, though, it's worth it.
