General Information and Rules

_{The five at the lake is not the most original idea, but with each incarnation or adaption on Fan Clans possibly provides a newer and fresher look. However, given that the time was taken to make this role-play, there should be no exception to you reading the information. It is a nice refresher or a good way to gain more knowledge of the Clans if you are new to the books series. The general information such as the map, characteristics, and territory are things we cannot control with others using. However, keep in mind that if there are any changes personally made by us, we will call you out for stealing. That brings me to the next quick general rule: Stealing. Yes, this is a universal idea and sometimes plots are common, but if the plot is too identical, there is an issue. Graphics are specially made for each incarnation we make, so any plagiarizing or taking these graphics for your own role-play will not be tolerated. Coding is iffy, but if it resembles too closely to ours, we will mention something. We credit each person who contributed and with each thing they did, and we obviously have permission from each other to use whatever we produced.}

Activity in the Role-play

_{You are what keeps us alive, so we are simply asking for your time that you have agreed to give by joining. We will allow special circumstances if we are told beforehand, however we have no power over knowing things if we are not informed. So it is very important to realize what you are agreeing to by joining this role-play. Regular members will be asked to at least role-play for an hour at the least at the minimum of four days. You are given a three day break to where you will not be penalized if you are not on. The fourth day you are not on is our warning day. Depending on if you are on or not depends on if we track you down or like your post. If you are online, we will like your post. If not, we will leave you a message on your last post or role-play. This way you can not shrug us off and it has been noted by others that we are asking you to come back. It is not to embarrass you or make you look bad, but save us. If you are gone for a fifth day, then we will have to delete your characters. It is harsh, but we can not act leisurely if you will not cooperate. Members who have a high position, special position, or are moderators and higher will need to be on five days out of the week. While we prefer seven days, we understand life gets in the way. At the same time, you are expected to be an example and we can not allow slacking because that reflects badly on us. We will be strict with the rules, so please understand this. With the five days you are required on with the minimum of an hour of role-playing, you are given two days to relax. We will follow the same routine for the third and fourth day you are absent from the role-play as the regular members. Unless there is a specific reason, we will not allow chatting to count towards your activity simply because you are not contributing to the plot but instead or purely providing a distraction that can cause us to move if it persists for too long.}

Role-playing Posts & Plots

_{The line limit is an outdated and poorly viewed system for role-plays in general. While that is a fact and an exhausting system when you have no muse or are just generally tired, we have decided to use a new system. We still will not allow lower than three sentences and prefer details in your posts, we will not expect paragraphs upon paragraphs. Keep enough detail in your posts. "Fluff" is unneeded, but we still want some color in a post. Be sure you are at least trying to spell words correctly and use proper grammar. Most computers and devices have spell check, so spelling should be the least of our worries unless there is a reason. As for role-playing plots, it should be obvious that spot-lighting, god-modding, power-playing, and meta-gaming will not be allowed. Spot-lighting being the obvious exception at some points and only to a degree. We will organize things to avoid any bumps in the road. Main plot events and general events will override small plot events. If a special battle is to happen, your queen will need to wait to kit, same with a Gathering. If you approach us with a small plot and inform us of an event in that plot a week to three days prior, we may allow it.} 

Characters, Family & Joining

_{Everyone loves their characters in some way. Some love them to reuse them over and over, others love to mess with them. Either way, there are guidelines and restrictions to your characters. Obviously mary-sues and anti-sues will not be permitted. Please refrain from using words such a beautiful and handsome. We may be alright with pretty, but it honestly depends on the leaders. Keep realistic pelt colors and combinations. I know a certain cat generator has become popular, but given that does not provide realistic enough appearances to write your cat. If something is off, we will ask you to change it. However, you can argue your case with proof, but with only actual evidence. For kits inside the role-play, we recommend going with possibilities of the kits looking like either parent or a grandparent. For this example I will use Persian genetics from what I know little of, if one cat is a silver tabby and the other is a brown tabby, they can have either brown, gray, or blue tabbies, black, blue, black tipped, or blue tipped kits. However, we will not be strict and allow some things like one parent having a mother who is a diluted tortoiseshell, in which we will probably allow. When you join, you have several things to keep in mind. Be aware of what prefixes are taken, reserved, or even banned. The mods and admins of the Clans can assist you if you wish. Be aware of how many spaces are open for one position as well. Also check to see if there are any open spots in family trees that you can put an active or deceased character in. This is make the Clan more close-knit and is recommended. Queens and kits are not going to be allowed unless you are already a member and they were born in the role-play. Permanent queens who do not have a mate and is not expecting nor nursing kits are alright. Please ask your leaders about rogues, loners, and kittypets before making them. If you have not asked, then they will be denied. Even genders are required, and you must make one warrior for every apprentice you make. While this is not as common, please refrain from making your cats current mates. As long as it was in the past and provides some backstory for your cats, then that is allowed. The joining form given is the only joining form that will be checked. If you use your own, we will deny you. Same gender relationships and orientations will be allowed.}

Courtesy & Respect

_{The golden rule: Treat others how you want to be treated. Whether it is someone's orientation, identity, culture, or race, we will not allow discrimination and bullying. We do not expect nor advise anyone to give us their life story and every detail, some details are important to someone, especially orientations and identity. Your actions come back on us. There will be harsh reprimands for those who bully and openly discriminate. We will not allow it because that is not who we are. The four main admins respect everyone the best we can and we want our members to follow suit. So do not hate on a member, character, or anything of the short. Slurs of any kind will result you in being deleted from our role-play. With that said, fights on our pages will not be tolerated no matter the reason. While we will appreciate anyone who attempts to stop it, if an admin or mod is on for the role-play, alert them. If nothing is able to be done, meaning they will not listen, a mod or admin will save the main page and report the posts. If the page is deleted or locked and posts are deleted, do not go into detail about why, just simply explain so all admins know what happened and hopefully can either get the page back or remake it.}

Leaders, Deputies, Medicine Cats & Mods

_{If you hold any high position such as leader, deputy, or medicine cat, we advise you not to take a high position in the other Clans. This role-play did start out with admins taking leader and deputy positions, but this was temporary until we found someone we can trust as a mod and become deputy. When you join, do not ask or even hint at wanting to be deputy. Role-playing likewise will also keep you from the running. Medicine cats can be given to "regular members," but they will be held at the same activity level as a moderator. Each Clan will have a "secondary leader." This is our original idea where one of the leaders will already have the job of taking over their assigned secondary Clan if the leader vanishes or must leave for a short while like a week or two. For example, Leader A runs RiverClan, Leader C runs WindClan. Leader A is the secondary leader to WindClan, so if Leader C goes on vacation for a week, Leader A is responsible for running both RiverClan and WindClan. Deputies can assist. If a leader completely vanishes the secondary leader will lead until a deputy is chosen or until the deputy is ready to take over. Secondary leaders are also tasked with making sure other leaders are keeping to the rules and having their members do so as well. There is a strike system to where if a leader gets three strikes, they are demoted and a new leader will take over. Three penalties for a leader will equal one strike and are for lesser "offenses." Mods, deputies, medicine cats will follow the same, but will have five penalties.}
