β³ HOW TO JOIN
Before filling out a form, please be sure that your hero slot has not already been taken. Sometimes I'm slow updating the front page, so it might behoove you to ask ahead of time. Also be sure that you've read through the main page which will have more information about the expectations surrounding characters. For a more in-depth look into what forms should look like, check out my form for Xenion which will be posted below. If you don't feel like formatting things, that's fine. Also I'm not expecting people to find images for their characters mostly because I won't be able to find anything that matches mine haha But if you feel like doing it, that's cool too. Forms for side characters can obviously be shorter. If you hate forms in general and just feel like developing your character in rp, that's fine, however keep in mind that hero culture is very much based on reputation. Plus it's nice having a reference for what other people's characters are like.
Note: Keep in mind that the heroes can have some abilities (super strength, wisdom, blessed weapons, etc) but they won't be able to like control an element or teleport or anything that extreme.

XENION of Corinth // β§ ββΠΎΟ twenty-two, male, son of Helios
Physical description Xenion is a tall man with broad shoulders, standing around 6'2" in height. His build, though strong, is built more for agility than for pure strength and his youth means he is not quite as bulky as some of his heroic counterparts. His skin is tanned from spending ample amount of time in the sun both training and travelling around Greece. His hair is darker at the roots than on the ends, as it lightens drastically in the sun, a trait he shares with his sister. He also has dark brows and eyes the color of freshly tilled earth. His face is handsome, as is expected from a son of a god. He has a strong jawline, full lips, and a proud aquiline nose. His brows are straight and masculine. He keeps a clean-shaven face. As for armor, Xenion wears a full set of pure gold that was gifted to him by his divine father. On the chestplate, the sun god rides his serpentine chariot surrounded by swirling clouds and a beaming sun at his back. The shoulder pieces are shaped like the curled horned of a satyr, in honor of one of Xenion's battles. He also has a bear-skin collar. His helmet covers his head and has panels to protect his face. It is decorated with intimidating gold spikes and a mane of deep blue dyed horse-hair. Weapon of choice: A nine foot long "dory" (spear) with a handle made of carved bronze and a pointed spearhead. When thrown, it can travel much further and straighter than most spears, as it is blessed by Helios. He also carries a spear depicting a dancing satyr, maenads, and grape vines.
Personality Description Xenion was raised to be a hero by his grandfather, Calliso. His upbringing deeply instilled two things in him: one, an ambition to be the best at everything, and two, the desire to do anything necessary to look after his family. Calliso came from a long line of oligarchs, and his line is known for being particularly conniving. They survived decades of disputes among the aristocracy of Corinth, often resorting to poisoning and murder. The point is, Xenion was brought up to be the enforcer of his grandfather's ambitious schemes, and it is a role he plays well. He is tough-minded, confident, and undyingly loyal. He has a certain charm, though he is more reserved than one might expect. He keeps his cards close to his chest and is unlikely to open to heart to anyone outside of his royal family.
Backstory One day a traveler arrived in the Corinth and was graciously housed by an oligarch named Calliso. The stranger was handsome, witty and clearly had a story to tell. The oligarch fed him and clothed him, and allowed him to stay for three days. Upon leaving, the stranger revealed that he was actually the god of the sun, Helios, and that he had impregnated both the oligarch's daughter and a slave girl. He foretold that one of his future children would go on to be the savior of Greece who would have five equally heroic sons, but he did not reveal which. For that reason, the oligarch elected raise the babies of both his royal daughter and the slave girl. The former gave birth to a boy, and the latter a girl. These babies would grow up to become Xenion and his half-sister, Basilia. Since the age of seven Xenion has shown an aptitude for warfare. He famously saved the city from a seige at the age of sixteen by destroying the artillery stores of the attacking Athens. His most famous exploit was in defeating a satyr in Elis who had been abducting local shepherdesses.
twenty-two, female, daughter of Helios
Physical description Basilia takes after her brother in many regards. Like him, she has olive skin that welcomes the Greek heat. Her hair too is darker at the roots, a rich brown, but fades into a light blonde at the ends from the sun. Her eyes are golden brown and cat-like in shape. She is the image of her brother in a feminine sense, though their statures are rather different. She is much smaller at a height of only 5'3", and she is not built for fighting. She has slender arms and a delicate, womanly build. Her face is radiant and youthful. She does not wear armor, though her dresses are usually fitted with gold elements that hint at her divine heritage: golden shoulder caps and pendants in the shape of the sun.
Personality Description Like her brother, Basilia was raised to serve her family's best interest. While he was trained to be a warrior, she was raised to be the picture of female perfection. She is a skilled weaver, a great conversationalist, and averse to any kind of physical labor. Perhaps more so than her brother, she has a passionate and emotional side. She acts with her heart at all times because she was coddled from a young age. Though she has an innocent air, she is as ruthless as her grandfather and equally ambitious as her brother.
Backstory Basilia and Xenion were conceived on the same day by the god Helios to two mothers, he the daughter of Calliso and she a slave girl. The god left the oligarch with a prophecy, that one of the babies would grow to be the savior of greece who would have five heroic sons. Because it was not specified which of the two would claim that title, both were raised in the lap of luxury. While Xenion went on to be a prolific warrior, Basilia was confined to more domestic purposes. She has turned into a strong political figure of Corinth under her grandfather's guidance. She is also one of the most highly sought-after brides in all of Greece because of the prophecy. That being said, Xenion is reluctant to let his sister marry at all as they do not like to be parted. Calliso, however, has made it clear that she will be given a husband by the end of the year.

GHOST'S CHARACTERS // β§
Physical Description Io is one the shorter side, barely reaching five-feet in height. Her form is lithe and slender, although she is not lacking in the more feminine curves in some places. Her skin, despite years of Island living beneath the brilliant Mediterranean sun, is as pale as can be, almost as white as milk. For the most part her skin is unblemished, aside from the wide claw marks that run across her right bicep, courtesy of a run-in she had with a chimera. Io's hair is as dark as the moonless night, seeming to glow an almost silver color in the light of a fire; it has a wavy, loose appearance to it. Most often, Io keeps her hair long, letting it drape down to rest at the middle of her back, like a curtain of fine silk. High cheekbones, a straight nose, and proud lips frame Io's face, giving her an almost feline appearance. Io's eyes are a strange, stark silver-blue, seeming to reflect the stars that line the sky, with an almost reflective quality to them. It's quite clear that Io is the daughter of Nyx. In terms of armor, Io tends towards the minimalist approach. She wears a set of silver armor that seems almost plain at first glance, but upon closer inspection one would find a depiction of Nyx herself, arms raised above her head, seeming to hold the night sky and the moon within her hands. The shoulder-plates of her armor are decorated with a feather pattern, similar to an owl's wing.
Weapon of choice: Io's primary weapon is a bow made of the best quality wood, colored black and decorated with a startlingly accurate depiction of the night sky. It's said that the arrows fired by this bow have an eerie, freezing quality to them. Io also is quite proficient in the use of a pair of kopis swords; the hilts of the blades are decorated in a similar fashion to her bow.
Personality Description Io can come across as aloof and uncaring the first time one meets her; cloaked around her is an aura of distance, as though nothing really registers on her radar. She's fiercely independent, and is more of a lone wolf in her style, although she's not necessarily opposed to social interaction or cooperation. She doesn't trust easily, and tends towards a more negative appraisal of the denizens of the world around her. Still, if you manage to impress Io and earn her loyalty, she'll follow you to the ends of the earth, and will do anything to protect you; she's fiercely loyal in that notion. She doesn't feel technically bound to most places, although she does, when pressed, call Crete her home. She's a wanderer, drifting about rather than laying down roots.
Backstory Io was born to Crete's ruling family, although not under the most delightful circumstances. The story goes - according to her father, Aeneas - was that one night, under the darkness of the new moon, with only the stars to light the way, Aeneas was awoken to find that a woman was seeking shelter in his castle. She was breathtakingly beautiful, with skin as white as milk and hair of the deepest onyx. Bewitched, Aeneas agreed and allowed the woman entry. She stayed for one turn of the moon, before departing, and during her stay she was often intimate with Aeneas, despite the fact that he was married. Nine months later, the woman returned, bearing an infant in her arms. It was as Aeneas was peering into the child's strange eyes that the woman's form changed, and she revealed herself to be Nyx, goddess of night. She told Aeneas that the child in her arms -the daughter of night - would one day be what stood between Greece and a terrible curse - a curse that would blot out the very sun and cast the world into an eternal darkness. Aeneas took the child, and named her Io; with his wife, he raised her to be the greatest warrior ever seen in Crete. At thirteen, Io saved Crete from a rather large chimera, and earned her first battle-scar.

ENYO of Sparta // β§ inky 23, Female, Daughter of Nicephorus
Physical description Standing at the striking height of 5'2 Enyo is anything but intimidating, a first glance she doesn't look like someone who could possibly throw someone but you don't want to test her to find out. Her skin is tanned but a bit lighter than most, but she is covered in freckles. They are more abundant on her nose, cheeks and shoulders. But they are pretty much everywhere. Her hair is a deep red, in most indoor or dim lighting it is hard to tell if it is brown or red but in the sun the red tones in her hair are obvious. She likes to keep it mostly up, usually in some braided style but when it is down it reaches near her shoulders. Her face is a bit on the round side, with plump lips and doe like eyes she has a very innocent child-like appearance. Her eyes are a deep golden brown. Her armor is the typical bronze Spartan armor but with a bit of a twist. It covers less of her body, mainly covering the important areas like her chest and most of her midsection. She wears a skirt that goes to her ankles but is split up both sides of ease of movement. Her forearms dawn leather armor as well. Weapon of choice: She carries two, one is the basic Spartan short sword, not her favorite but she'll use it. And then there is the staff that is over five feet tall that seems to glow like the sun itself this staff gets incredibly hot but it does seems to bother her. Honestly though she'd fight with a rock if it was all she had
Personality Description She is probably one of the laziest people you can meet. At least at first. Everything bores her because if it doesn't challenge her in some way it doesn't matter. Now give her a challenge, physical or mental and she lights up like a child. In a fight it can be kind of scary its almost like she enjoys it. She has a sharp wit and is almost ready with some sarcastic comment she is more one of the guys than anything else. Honestly once you get her talking she doesn't really know how to shut up either Enyo could go on for days about some book she read years ago. She tends to be a little harsh and overly honest by default and feelings make her uncomfortable, she's the friend that will just pat you when you cry and get tired of it and threaten to hit you if you don't stop. Also the temper on this one, gets her into a lot of trouble, for a pretty smart girl, she is big dumb when she gets mad. Which happens more than she'd like to admit.
Backstory (what family do they come from? do they have a divine or mythological connection?) Enyo was born and raised in Sparta, and at a young age showed she fought better than most of the boys her age. Of course, that was to be expected with her family being one of the wealthiest in Sparta thanks to a rich military background. Though Enyo never really follow that whole strict thing she did what she wanted when she wanted and would fight anyone who said otherwise. She was raised by her father, her mother died when she was young and was an Athenian but no one knows that. At the ripe young age of 12 Enyo found herself in the favor of the goddess Athena, she'd taken a liking to the young ball of fire. and gifted her the staff she has trained with for the passed ten years. She's headed quite a few battles in Sparta and yet to have her troupe loose. Though she has plenty of scars and repairs in her armor that she'll very quickly show off to brag about her battles.
