To her dismay both Adder and Chervil boldly led the dogs away, the big brutes happy to give chase. Though she had just met the toms, Whisp felt worry start to flood through her veins. Her soft golden eyes watched as they all disappeared into the undergrowth. For a moment she sat there and listened, the noisy hounds could be heard clearly as they crashed through the forest and began to circle back behind then. When they sounded far enough away she looked to Winter her questioned what was next to do. "No, but we need to get out of this tree and head for the thick of the woods. The dogs obviously remember this place so we need to go far from it and find a thicket to take cover in. Come on let's hurry up and go before on of the dogs comes back for us." Mind racing trying to think of a safe place to hide but none came to mind. They would just have to run until they found a large enough briar thicket to squeeze into. Adder and Chervil would have to fend for themselves for now, all Whisp knew was that she couldn't let their sacrifice go to waste. They needed to get to safety.
((I'm thinking that Whisp and Winter can possibly come across the perfect place to make into a camp for all the cats, yeah?))

Though he despised being bossed around, Lichen was in no state to argue when Fern told him to rest. Sleep had been tugging at him and with her there the tom had been fighting against it. It had to be mere seconds after she stepped out of the den did the tabby drift off into sleep. For the first time in a long time did Lichen begin to dream.
For a second he couldn't tell where he was, the forest about him seemed odd and unfamiliar as a pale light shimmered through the canopy. "I see you are still as rude as ever." The voice sounded behind him and Lichen quickly whipped about, the wound on his flank pain free. His green eyes were quick to focus on a starry pelted feline as she emerged from the tall grass.
"Moss?!" The form of his sister was unmistakable. The shecat had perished moons ago in a fight against a fox, and since then she would occasionally visit him in his dreams. "Are you spying on me?" He puffed. "Why dont you go get a life," he jabbed with a playful sneer.
His dark humor was warmly welcomed by the golden tabby shecat, as she just rolled her eyes. "I would if you would stop wasting yours away. For goodness sakes, you would have joined me in the Silverpelt if that shecat hadn't come along." Her tongue was still sharp as ever as she scolded him, ears flicking in agitation. "You better thank her for saving your life too. It's time you stop pushing others away, the forest is changing." As she spoke Lichen noticed her green eyes begin to glow and her pale golden tabby pelt begin to fade.
"Wait? Dont go yet! What do you mean the forest is changing?" The last thing he wanted was for her to leave him, he desperately missed the molly but her words held an eery prediction.
"Beware the howling dangers, together you are strong." The last word barley escaped Moss' muzzle before she had completely evaporated into thin air. Lichen was then tossed into a dark and dreamless slumber. As he slept his fever began to lift and his wound finally began to heal.
ใMaybe now Lichens stubborn butt will be more open to the idea of a clan/group life. ใ

(( good afternoon y'all ))
Chervil's breath was short huffs, shaky and laced with fear. He bounded after Adder, making sure not to fall behind and lose sight of the other tom's pelt in the undergrowth. It wasn't hard to keep up, as he was also accustomed to moving about the forest's thick undergrowth everyday. "Alright," He managed to choke out the response to Adder's plan, though he doubted he would hear the small meow over the sounds of the dogs' barks, growls, and paws pounding against the forest floor behind them. They turned in the direction of the twoleg place and it didn't take long for the trees to thin out and the thunderpath came into sight, with twoleg dens resting on the opposite side. Thankfully the dogs hadn't caught them before they arrived. Just as Chervil burst from the forest her felt jaws clamp around his tail to pull him back, a yowl erupting from him as he twisted around to scratch at the dog's muzzle and try to scramble away.
As Fern arrived back at Lichen's den she glad to discover he was resting, he would recover faster with rest. She dropped the squirrel near his paws so he would be able to have some when he woke and settled down nearby, paws tucking comfortably under her chest and tail wrapping around her side. She watched Lichen with curious green eyes, noting that he seemed restless and uneasy in his sleep. He tossed and turned and she thought she might have heard him murmuring, but as she watched it seemed he finally settled and fell into a deeper rest. She carefully shifted onto her side, resting her head on the ground as she allowed herself to put her guard down and drift into a light sleep as well.

(Hey guys! Just woke up lol)
Adder turned as he heard a yowl rip through the forest behind him, and saw the lead dog's jaws clamped around Chervil's tail. He twisted and reared around, bringing unsheathed claws crashing into the dog's soft, sensitive nose. He knew that if they stopped to fight the other two would catch up, so he hoped this would be enough to dislodge the beast.

(I'm PST, I slept in as well lol)
Adder soon joined Chervil under the monster, just before the other dogs were upon them, teeth mashing at the edges of the monster as they tried to follow underneath, but were unable to. Adder snarled as he felt their hot, smelly breath waft over him and lashed out, slashing at any exposed flesh he could find. Finally, the distant yell of a twoleg echoed through the area. The dogs perked up at the sound, whining at the seeming order. They remained for a few moments longer, until a second, sharper yell followed, and the dogs reluctantly backed away, loping towards the source of the sound.

(I think that's an awesome idea! ^w^ I kind of like the idea of a small gorge, like SkyClan has? Maybe it even has a small pool at the bottom of it, the ground is soft clay. Just an idea though!)

Winter nodded, she listened to Whisp without question, trusting her better judgement. After all, the staying in the tree idea didn't really work out too well for her before. "Right." She affirmed. The blue molly cast one more longing look out to where the dogs had disappeared over the horizon. Their barks had quieted... She could only hope that Chervil and Adder were safe. Her fur bristled, her heart lurching in her chest. No... We can't think about that right now, right now we need to make sure that we're safe. I'm sure they'll be ok... She told herself.
Getting out of the tree was much easier this time. Winter found the same footholds that she had made before to get down, so the two of them made quick work getting to the ground again. The smaller blue she-cat looked to Whisp and nodded, ready to follow her when she started running.

(( perhaps the camp they discover is close by lichen and fern, so we can tie them all together )) Sounds good to me! Since this is your thread do you have any preference on what type of camp you want them to find? I will work on Lichens and Whisps post now ใ

Whisp allowed Winter to go first, watching her movements carefully. The last thing they need was her slipping and falling to the ground risking injury with dogs about. Following close behind her Whisp waited for the blue molly to reach the ground before leaping down herself. Once her paws landed on the forest flood Whisp wasted no time in leading the way deep into the wood. "Quick this way, and try not to brush up against anything as you go, you want to leave as small scent trail as possible." Racing onwards the cream and white feline gracefully weaved through the forest doing her best to put as much distance between them and the tree. "Keep an eye out for anything that might make a great shelter, unaccessible to anything bigger than a cat." Her words came out is short ragged bursts through her running and panting, all the while Whisp dis the same. Sharp trained eyes looking for anything that might do the job.

Adder shook his head slightly as he followed Chervil from out below the monster. "Dogs. Stupid brutes." He growled, though a light shone in his eyes, a mixture of wild excitement from the adrenaline of the chase, and satisfaction at having bested the ravenous dogs. "Let's get out of here while we can and find the others." He meowed. "something tells me those dogs will be back, and I don't want to be here when they do."
(Was thinking of making another character as well, if that's fine?)

Lichen had managed to sleep half the day away after Fern had tended to him, and when he finally started to stir the scent of squirrel caused him to quickly open his eyes. There right at his paws lay a dead squirrel... looking around the tabby and white cat was surprised to see Fern a few tail lengths away taking a nap as well. She was still here? ... Why? ... Did it really matter? She showed up, helped heal him, fed him, and watched over him as he slept and he was nothing but a stranger to her. As he sat there unmoving staring that the pretty shecat, he could hear his sisters words echo in his mind.
'You better thank her for saving your life too. It's time you stop pushing others away'.
If the forest was changing and a great danger approaching, maybe it was time to finally heed his sisters advice. "Better late than never", he murmured under his breath casting a look up to the heavens. He hated it, but she was always right, so why even after death would she be wrong. Sighing Lichen gave the squirrel a sniff, still fresh from earlier, and his void-like appetite was quick to return. Now that his fever was gone the tom seemed to feel a bit more level headed and less delirious. Using his claws he pulled the squirrel close and began to eat, green eyes watching Ferns form as she slept.

(I'm thinking of having her still preg, maybe the kits are the first kits born in the new camp? I'm not gonna have her appear just yet, maybe once they've settled a bit?)
Adder eyed the thunderpath warily, well aware of the damage it could do to a cat. This was a much smaller thunderpath, however, and was made of dirt rather than the sticky black material of most thunderpaths. Overgrown ferns littered the sides, alongside shiny twoleg things littered about. Deciding it was safe, he marched onto the path and briskly across, making sure Chervil was with him. He began to retrace his steps to where they had left Whisp and Winter. The scents were still fresh, and he could make out their distinct scents through the overwhelming musk of dog. He began to follow the scent trail deeper into the forest.

Iโd love to claim one off the kits if thatโs ok! And if youโd like, I could also make your queens mate? ^w^ If not thatโs totally ok though!
Also! I was thinking Ren, that maybe Winter would develop a little crush on Chervil, if youโd be ok with that!)

( Falconwing I was thinking we could have something between Adder and Whisp, if you're down? ) As Chervil thanked him, the striped gray tabby turned to look at him, mild surprise in his eyes as if the thought of leaving him behind had never occurred to him. Helping another cat, especially one who had chosen to help you, was just the right thing to do. Adder felt a surge of camaraderie towards the black tom, and he blinked at him in a friendly manner. "Of course. Is your tail still in one piece?" He asked in amusement, flicking his shoulder with his tail good-naturedly. As they arrived at the tree, Adder concurred with Chervil and they set off on the new trail. "They put a good amount of distance from the tree. Whisp did well." He meowed, with a note of appreciation for the cream she-cat's tenacity.
