Ivysplash chuckled faintly then stopped as he watched a bird touch the ground across a clearing from them. It was a blue jay and he snuck toward it. He dropped into a crouch and pounced. He missed it by a whisker as another bird cried out just before he made the landing. "Mouse dung" he cursed. He went back over to where Flowerfrost held the rabbit. "Why don't we go back to camp?" He suggested moving to grab the vole and mouse.

Ivysplash thought for a second and shook his head before picking up the other prey. "I haven't thought much about a mate just like I,said earlier." He mumbled this through the prey before slowly heading back to the camp. Making sure Flowerfrost could keep up with the large rabbit she carried. "I'm sure if you leave the rabbit by the elders Turtlepool and Heronflight will share it with all the kits."

Ivysplash nodded not saying anything for a while as they walked back to the camp. They left behind the delicious smells of the Meadow and its prey and herbs. There were birds flitting and calling around in the trees. A mouse ran across the path and he fought the urge to chase it. "Why are you so intent on helping me?" He finally asked through the prey in his mouth. He wondered if maybe Flowerfrost was interested in him. He couldn't compplain if she was being as she was a kind cat.

Ivysplash grinned the best he could around the prey. "I mean there's plenty of handsome toms in the clan aren't there?" He asked feeling both pleased by her compliment and unsure how to take it. He glanced over at her. "Your eyes are beautiful." He said also unsure if he should say that in case she was self consious about her scar.

Weaselkit - with Wishkit

With a laugh Weaselkit jumped to her paws as Wishkit fell off of her. She swished her tail as she cricled her before she suddenly reared up and slammed down at her, careful not to really hit her though. Instead she brought both paws down on either side of Wishkit, still effectively holding her in place. Weaselkit let out a light purr. While it still didn't really look like an upright lock she was still starting to get better at getting the basics of that move right.

Wolfkit - with Gazekit

With a slight smile Wolfkit nodded. "Yeah, I kinda get it," he said. "I know it's not exactly the same for me since we chose different paths and don't have the same way of looking after our siblings but I feel that way about Weaselkit and Foxkit too." He briefly glanced at Foxkit who was partly hidden beside the apprentices den, playing with a small pebble. Wolfkit shook his head and gave a small chuckle. "Not that I have to worry about them too much, Weaselkit has enough fire in her to protect all three of us. And Foxkit may not be as energetic and confident but he definitely can look after himself. I just hope he becomes more sure of himself over time. He's still too afraid of bothering others or of making a fool of himself. And once we start our training Weaselkit and I can't be beside him all the time." He then glanced over at Coalkit who was showing Silverpaw what she had learned so far and smiled. "Can't say how strong Coalkit is but it looks like she is a fast learner. It probably won't take her long to master most moves."

Silverpaw - with Coalkit

Silverpaw flicked his tail and nodded as Snowdapple left them to their game. Then he turned his attention back to Coalkit and gave a nod of approval though he staggered when she continued to kick him. "Not bad!" He stepped back to let her up (and to get her to stop kicking him) and ducked a little. Then he briefly lifted a paw to stop her from trying to attack right away. "When you force your opponent off of you and get back to your paws you'll have many ways of attacking them," he said. "Depending on how you move when you get on your paws you'll either face your opponent directly or away from them." He shifted his weight a little so it was mainly on his front paws. "You should try to avoid turning your back on your opponent since it's dangerous but you can do this!" With that he quickly glanced behind him to make sure no one was there and then lashed out with his hind legs. "Wanna try it? It's a little hard at first to keep your balance when you put all your weight on your front paws and kick out with your hind legs but once you figured it out it's a neat little trick to catch your opponent off guard."

Darkclaw - with Windpaw

Darkclaw nodded when Windpaw reported he hadn't smelled anything of relevance either. "Good. No rogues or predators here." He glanced over at what was now Roseclan territory. "Hopefully they're doing alright too." Then he looked back at Windpaw. "If we continue this way we'll be at the meadow next. We could also head for the border near the pond but usually Frostfeather is there at this time of day." While she was most likely there to hunt and not to check the border but she was still close enough to notice if there was anything unusual. "We can check that one last. Besides, it's usually the border by the meadow where we have run-ins with rogues." It had been a while since they had met one and Darkclaw hoped it stayed that way.

Windpaw looked the direction of Roseclan territory. "I'm sure they are still settling down. It must be hard to be uprooted like that." He nodded and headed toward the Meadow keeping his ears and nose open for any sign of an intruder. "I wonder what the leaders and medicine cats are discussing now." He wondered aloud.

Flowerfrost - Elder's Den

She slowly entered, making her way over to Turtlepool"good afternoon, brought you a rabbit. Ivysplash helped me out"

Turtlepool looked up as Flowerfrost came up with a rabbit. She nodded when the young she-cat said she and Ivysplash had caught the rabbit. "Ah. Good job. It looks nice and tender. And it's big enough to fill Heronflight and I. Plus the kits." She purred. "Why don't you and Ivysplash join us for a meal?" She offered before laying down and waiting for her fellow elder to come up. She would leave the kits to play unless they noticed the prey smell.

Flowerfrost - Elder's den - Turtlepool

"I'll be ok, we caught smaller prey. You all enjoy it"she said as she set it down

Heronflight was sitting near the camp entrance. She had taken a small stroll earlier and was now enjoying sitting around in camp again. When she saw Flowerfrost go to the elders den she got up and padded after her. She sat down beside Turtlepool, meowing a greeting to her, and then looked at Flowerfrost. "Oh, for us?" she purred. "Thank you, Flowerfrost." Then she nodded, having heard Turtlepool mention Ivysplash. "Yes, he's welcome to join too, of course," she said, giving a friendly smile.
