Its not that bad actually I prefer it to typing on a computer. I use an android phone though. I do use the desktop version of the site to do my coding so I can use the preview screen to make sure I don't mess anything up. )
Snowdapple walked around to the other side of the bush and started to dig. Her claws tearing into the earth. After a while of diggibg when there was a decent but shallow space beneath the bush for a den she stopped. "That was some hard work. Do you wanna rest now that we're done?"

I can do the rest." Mother Dark Android phone! I hate typing on phone keyboards. I am so slow at them. I wish I was a bit more balanced. I type super slow on phone keyboards, but I type at 120 wpm on a normal keyboard. I would rather be medium speed at a phone keyboard and like 100 wpm at normal keyboard. Well, I'm sure it's just practice, but I can't get that because I don't have a phone.)

I didn't get my first real phone until my senior year of high school but now that's been four years since it happened.))
Snowdapple shook her head. "Now that I see now it looks I don't think we need a tunnel. The bushes overlap enough. I guess we are done." She layed down newr Coalkit.

My parents are telling me I won't get a phone 'till high school also. Wow you are like way older than me! I'm one of the youngest people on this forum (according to the Age Groups post on Off-Topic Discussions). Duskfire w/Snowdapple
"Ok. Adding that bush almost doubled the size of the nursery. This will last for a while, until Thymeclan gets even more kits." Duskfire said, as Snowdapple layed down besides Coalkit, "Oh I forgot to ask. How old is Coalkit? He should be getting out of the nursery soon, shouldn't he?" (I'm 21 years old. Ive been on here for almost 6 years now.) "Coalkit, Wishkit and Gazekit are all 5 moons old. She and her littermates are all ready to get out of this den. Then again so are the other kits that are our denmates." Snowdapple laughed. She looked over to where Wishkit played with the other kits and then to Where Gazekit talked to Icewhisper. "Gazekit is going to train with Icewhisper." She beamed. |

Sakura - Camp - Poppykit (Mother Dark)“You will soon, I promise. You won’t stay a kit forever,” she mewed, watching as Poppykit crouched and stalked the tail. Grinning, she flicked her tail. “Good job. Show me your crouch again. I want to check it.” Ebonyflame - Forest - Feather, Ophelia (Ivy, Copperstar☂)Ebonyflame nodded to the ginger and white she-cat and turned to the other. “Well then, what do you have to say?” She mewed, backing to stand before the loner. Feather didn’t look like she was much of a fighter and Ebonyflame wouldn’t let this cat hurt another if she could stop it. Cherrystar - Camp - Hollowsky (Copperstar☂)Cherrystar watched the camp for a moment, debating whether to assign the patrols herself. It was what she knew how to do and it felt almost strange to not have to do it anymore. The ginger she-cat finally stood and padded toward where she noticed her deputy. Dipping her head in greeting, she mewed, “I think a couple border patrols would be necessary, considering how some rouges think they can just pad across our borders.”

Ophelia smirked as the two cats noticed her. She smiled at them maliciously. "I'm not with this other loner. I came here on my own." She meowed, not taking her gaze off the two cats. "You clan cats really are too protective of your borders. You so much as see us and you get hostile. Why?" She asked, a little puzzled at the clan cat's ways. She wrapped her tail around her paws and shifted her paws closer to her belly.
Hollowsky dipped his head in greeting to Cherrystar as she approached. "Okay! Are there any cats in particular that haven't been out in a while?" He asked as his gaze scanned the camp.
Which cats are in camp and good to go on a patrol?))

Ophelia only chuckled. "Why would we steal your prey when we have some that is so much better." She spat, trying to upset the warrior. She stood up to step closer to the warrior, and felt herself wobble due to the weight of her belly. She puffed her fur out and hissed menacingly at the she-cat.
Oh by the way! I forgot to mention that Ophelia is expecting kits!))

Feather turned as each cat spoke. She noticed how the aggressive rouge wobbled. What was happening with the she-cat? She realized why she was probably so wobbly. "She's carrying kits" she said shocked as it came out of her mouth. She then darted up a tree to get away from the tension.

My starter for tomorrow if anyone wants to RP with me (Robinbreeze use this if Cherrystar decides to let me go on a patrol when Hollowsky tells him Duskfire - check ThymeClan group chat if you don't understand):Duskfire, tired after digging, padded into the warriors den and lay down on his nest. He looked up at the roof of the den for a while, until sleep came over him and he closed his eyes. The next morning, he woke up to find... (See everyone tomorrow. It's getting late here (well not really), but I have other stuff to do for the next few ours until I go to sleep.)

Snowdapple and Coalkit OPEN
Snowdapple layed down outside the newly expanded den and started to groom the dirt from her paws. The white fur between her claws was colored deep brown from all the dirt.
Coalkit settled back down by Snowdapple as the queen lay back down. She snuggled into the side of her mother and fell asleep.
Wishkit with Weaselkit, Wolfkit, and Foxkit
"Thanks" Wishkit said to Weaselkit. She rolled over and kicked the ball like sje was doing belly rakes and then flipped back over and tossed the ball at Weaselkit. She then hopped around a little.
Gazekit with Icewhisper
Gazekit watched his future mentor for any signs of what she thought about training him. When she smiled it gave him relief. "What is it like communicating with starclan? Is it scary?" He asked with eyes wide and head tilted to the side.
Turtlepool with Heronflight
"I think he will make a good medicine cat. He's inquisitive and sharp but je might have to work on his bedside manor because I've noticed he can be pretty blunt." Turtlepool said. She started to get up and struggled a little her body cracking and popping. "What would you like from the freshkill pile?"
Frostfeather OPEN
Frostfeather walked into camp and her fur was still damp from fishing. She carried two large fish and a smaller one in her jaws. She padded over and dropped the two larger ones in the freshkill pile and settled down with the smaller one to eat. She dipped her head in return to Ripplefur as the warrior passed by her on the way out of camp.
Basilwhisker OPEN
Basilwhisker was sleeping well and felt content. He prayed in his sleep that he wouldn't be woken again until he got some good sleep. He woke up hours later feeling refreshed and happy.
Ivysplash OPEN
Ivysplash was out in the forest. He had been hunting since before dawn but hadn't found much of anything as the entire world slept. He decided to get some moss instead. Scraping it off a nearby tree and picking out any debris. He set out for camp where he would let the moss dry out. He walked into camp and set down the moss in the sun near the nursery where he intended it to be used.

(Most of my cats are open so any of them could join the patrol. The only one who isn't in camp right now is Ripplefur. Rainsong, Darkclaw, Adderheart and Silverpaw can go on patrol. Maybe you can pick one of two of them. If I'm not online by the thyme the patrol sets off that character can still be part of it, just make sure they're not the one to lead the patrol ^^)
Icewhisper (with Gazekit) Icewhisper thought about this for a moment. Talking to StarClan had made her excited at first when she had begun her training and even now she still felt that excitement to some extend. But it always came with a certain uneasiness as not every message from StarClan was good. "I wouldn't call it scary," she finally said. "Especially when you meet cats you know well. It can be a little intimidating but most of all I find it fascinating." She gave a wry smile for a second. "Though sometimes it can be a little frustrating. StarClan can be pretty vague." She shook her head with a quiet laugh and continued. "But no matter what I tell you, meeting StarClan is an experience you have to make yourself. If they choose to share their wisdom with you be sure to listen. Even if something doesn't make sense at first it'll become clear to you in time." Weaselkit, Wolfkit and Foxkit (with Wishkit)Weaselkit watched closely as Wishkit rolled over and kicked the ball. With a grin she rolled over too and moved as if she was trying to slash at an imaginary opponent. Then she rolled to her paws again and leaped for the ball. Having moved a little too fast she stumbled and tripped over her paws but had managed to get hold of the ball. With a snort she got up again and shook herself. Then she tossed the ball to Foxkit. Wolfkit lashed his tail in anticipation as Wishkit got ready to throw the ball. When she flung it at Weaselkit he laughed quietly as his sister almost missed the ball and then managed to catch it in a pretty clumsy way. Then he watched her throwing the ball to Foxkit. Foxkit stood back a little and got ready to pounce in case someone tried to throw the ball his way. Wishkit had tossed it at Weaselkit and now she was throwing it to him. With a small shout he pounced on it and then passed it back to Wishkit.
Heronflight (with Turtlepool)Heroflight laughed a little at Turtlepool's mention of Gazekit's bluntness. "I suppose he needs to work on that," she agreed. "Maybe he'll learn to save it for those who deliberately go against his instructions." She watched as Turtlepool slowly got up. "Oh, I could get us something too, you know," she offered with a smile. "But if you want to go, a fish would be nice."
SilverpawSilverpaw was now watching the playing kits. He wondered if Basilwhisker would have him practice his hunting skills later. During the last moon Silverpaw had gotten better at it but is was still his least favorite activity.
RainsongRainsong glanced over at Cherrystar and Hollowsky. He didn't sit close enough to hear what they were saying but from the way Hollowsky scanned the camp he guessed that this was just about assigning patrols. While Rainsong had been out hunting earlier he wouldn't mind if he had to join a border patrol. AdderheartAdderheart had spent some more time looking for prey, not wanting to go back with just a mouse and a vole, and had managed to catch a squirrel. Now she was heading back to camp. She would go out for another hunt later. Upon reaching camp she padded over to the fresh-kill pile first to drop off her prey. DarkclawDarkclaw padded over to the camp's entrance to go catch some prey too but he stopped when he saw Cherrystar talking to Hollowsky. He decided to wait a bit longer in case they were discussing patrols.
RipplefurRipplefur buried a mouse she had caught and went looking for more prey. She caught the scent of a robin and quietly moved closer. The bird was busy picking some seeds and seemed to pay little to no attention to its surroundings. Ripplefur pounced and quickly bit into it. Then she hid it beside the mouse. |

Cherrystar - Camp - Hollowsky, Nutshine, Darkclaw, Ivysplash
Cherrystar followed Hollowsky’s gaze as he looked around camp. “Since the fresh-kill pile seems to be quite full, I think two border patrol would do. I’ll leave it to you to decide the final decision, but I could give you some suggestion,” she mewed, pausing for a moment. “Ivysplash and Frostfeather seem to have just gotten back. I’d chose warriors who haven’t yet gone out or seem willing to go out again. I’ll take Nutshine, Darkclaw and Ivysplash out toward the meadow. It’ll be good to do something outside of camp again.” Turning from her deputy, she signaled to the three warriors.
Ebonyflame - Forest - Ophelia, Feather
Ebonyflame tensed as Ophelia became more aggressive and took note of the ginger and white she-cat’s words. Taking a deep breath and ignoring Ophelia’s words, she mewed, “I see. We won’t hurt you. Clearly you don’t like our way of life, but I will offer you a safe place to stay. You don’t have to take it, but think about your kits. I’m sure Cherrystar would be willing to allow you to stay for as long as you want.” She didn’t want to offend the she-cat who clearly thought she could handle herself, but giving the offer seemed reasonable. Realizing Feather had left the scene to take refuge in a tree, she flattened her fur, trying to appear less menacing.
Sakura - Camp - Poppykit
Sakura nodded at the kit’s crouch approvingly. Picking up her paw, Sakura repositioned Poppykit’s tail to just above the ground. “Don’t let your tail signal your approve, but also make sure it doesn’t drag on the ground,” she mewed, crouching beside the calico she-cat.

Ivysplash padded over to Cherrystar when she signaled. "Good morning." He said semi cheerful for the usually standoffish cat. He padded a few steps closer and sat down.
Poppykit nodded at the suggestions. She adjusted her stance a little to get more comfortable and leaped again on the tail. This time she turned onto her back and acted like she was going to do a belly rake. Kicking out her legs she snarled.

Basilwhisker came out of his den feeling refreshed. He looked around for Silverpaw. Hoping the apprentice was ready for some battle training.

Weaselkit, Wolfkit and Foxkit
(Foxkit is the only one who guesses his name. I just didn't want all three of them to guess correctly xD)
Weaselkit hopped around Wolfkit, waiting for him to pass the ball to someone else. "Oh, I hope it's something fierce or strong! I don't want my name to be Weaselflower or something equally gentle," she said. "Nothing wrong with names like that but that's just not me!" "Yay, thanks," meowed Wolfkit with a grin and rolled the ball between his paws for a bit. "Hm. Who knows? Cherrystar will choose something fitting for us once we're ready and we could have changed a lot until then." He looked up at Weaselkit who was still hopping around him. "Keep this up and she'll call you Weaselbounce," he purred. "Anyway, I don't know. Wolfslayer? Just kidding. Probably something like Wolfclaw. What about you, Foxkit?" With that he passed the ball to his brother. Foxkit thought about it for a moment. He wasn't even sure if he would be good enough to become a warrior. How should he know what his name would be? He decided not to voice this though, knowing that the others would just contradict him. So he thought about what kind of name would make sense for him. If it were up to him he would have chosen something quiet and inconspicuous. "I wouldn't mind being called Foxwhisper," he said finally. He then passed the ball to Weaselkit who threw it to Wishkit.
IcewhisperIcewhisper was glad to see how excited Gazekit was. It seemed like he would be a good apprentice. "Well, it depends on the season and if we have to deal with threats. If many warriors get themselves injured I have a lot to do of course. As for the seasons, leaf-bare can be pretty dangerous," she said. "But on days like today it's far from stressful. I have to sort through herbs to see if we have enough of them and if some of them are too old and have to be thrown out. Every now and then an apprentice comes over to get some mousebile so they can free our elders from ticks." She gave a small grin. "I've yet to meet a cat who doesn't hate it." She glanced over at the warriors who were getting ready to head out. "Even if there aren't any dangers out there on some days, warriors and apprentices come by to get some scratches checked out or because they stepped on a thorn. But usually it's nothing too serious. And sometimes," she lowered her voice a little "I get a sign from StarClan. It can be anything and when you're just starting out with your training they can be hard to spot. But with some experience you just... know if something is supposed to be a sign."
Heronflight
Heronflight purred when Turtlepool set the fish down. "Thanks, Turtlepool," she meowed cheerily as she looked the fish over. "Looks like Frostfeather caught a really good one." She took some bites as Turtlepool spoke and nodded. "I'll sure miss watching them play," she said. "It feels like it was only yesterday when they all made their first steps outside the nursery."
DarkclawDarkclaw padded over to where Cherrystar and Hollowsky stood when he noticed the leader signaling to him, Ivysplash and Nutshine. He stopped at a respectful distance and dipped his head. Then he padded a little closer and sat down near Ivysplash, meowing a greeting. SilverpawSilverpaw watched closely as Cherrystar pointed out three cats and felt a little disappointed. Unless they were sending out a hunting patrol he wouldn't have minded joining them. His face lit up instantly when he spotted his mentor. "Morning, Basilwhisker!" he called as he bounded over to the warrior. |

"I can't think of many good names for me. Wishfire sounds cool though. I think Coalkit will be Coalpoppy or Coalwhisker. I can't even begin to think of Gazekit though." Wishkit said crunching up her face each time she thought of another name.
(Now I kind of like the name Wishfire more than Wishwhisker but I like the alliteration of the latter.)
"I want to be important just like you. I don't think the clan could run without you here to take care of us." Gazekit said. He stood up and streched a little puffing out his chest. "I still hsve to learn to hunt and fight like the others do right? At least learn the basics?" He asked curious as to how different his life would be to his littermates.
(We could make Wolfkit use mousebile when he's an apprentice and that could show his lack of smelling/ tasting ability) )
"I remember that like it was just yesterday. I also remember when Webwillow and Darkclaw and Adderheart became apprentices. Back when I was still a warrior." Turtlepool chuckled at the thought of the three young warriors as fresh new 'paws excited by even the thought of getting moss for nests.
Ivysplash nodded in greeting to Darkclaw and turned to listen and see what he had been called over for.
"Good morning Silverpaw. Hope you're ready for training today." Basilwhisker said as the apprentice came up to him. He was stretching and shaking his gray dappled pelt out as he spoke trying to shake the sleep out of his body.

Make sure those rogues and loners know we’re keeping an eye out for them,” she mewed, turning to the entrance and padding out of camp. On the way to the meadow, she scented a shrew and figured there was no harm in catching something. Dropping into a crouch, she quickly pounced and finished it off, burying it to gather later. Sakura - Camp - Poppykit (Mother Dark)Laughing, Sakura righted herself and sat down. “Wonderful. No prey would stand a chance!” She whisked the frisky kit to her and nuzzled her head. “At this rate, maybe I’ll have Cherrystar just skip from your apprentice ceremony to your warrior ceremony,” she mewed jokingly, though she immediately regretted it. She didn’t want to get Poppykit’s hopes up, just to shoot them back down. (I’m alright. As well as anyone can be these days, I’d say. How about you, Dark?)

Darkclaw quickly followed Cherrystar and the others. When their leader caught the shrew on the way to the meadow he gave a slight nod. The closer they got to the meadow the more alert he became. He wasn't exactly expecting that they would run into trouble but it wouldn't hurt to be on the lookout for anything out of place.
Weaselkit, Wolfkit and Foxkit - with Wishkit
"It's hard to think of something," Weaselkit meowed as she nodded. "I wonder how Cherrystar will come up with all those names. And not just for us." She thought of the apprentices and wondered what their warrior names would be. Wolfkit thought for a moment but couldn't come up with anything good. "Maybe we'll have a better idea once we're apprentices," he said. "Speaking of which, what are you guys excited for?" He sprung to his paws and padded around. "I can't wait to get out there and explore our territory! And get some actual battle training! Or just climb some of those trees!" Foxkit gave a slight smile at his brother's excitement. "Battle training sounds fun," he meowed. "and hunting too. I can't wait to catch my own prey." His smile grew wider at the thought. "That also means I get to catch my own fish! Oh I hope I'll learn it fast enough." ( When in doubt flip a coin. Not an easy choice. Though there's still a lot of thyme until they become warriors.)
Icewhisper - with Gazekit
Icewhisper chuckled a little. "It's an important task we have," she meowed with a smile. "Just keep in mind that we also have a great responsibility." At the mention of hunting and fighting she nodded. "Yes. We'll have to cover the basics. You won't always have a warrior escorting you when you gather herbs and if something happens you'll need to be able to defend yourself. As for hunting, it's a good skill to have. Especially when prey is scarce and the clan needs every piece of fresh-kill they can get." (Hm. Using mousebile is a good idea actually. While I'd rather have Icewhisper confirm it and inform Cherrystar before he becomes an apprentice the mousbile thing could reveal it to the rest of the clan.)
Heronflight - with Turtlepool
Heronflight purred at the memory. "Oh yes. They were so eager to prove to everyone what good apprentices they were," she laughed. "They made even the most boring tasks look exciting and fun. Makes me remember the days when we, too, had apprentices of our own."
Silverpaw - with Basilwhisker
Silverpaw nodded eagerly as he tried to stand still and not fidget so much. "Sure am! What are we gonna today?" ("Same thing we do every day, Silverpaw - Try to take over the forest.") |
