Thymeclan New members needed

Cenra considered putting one paw on their territory but not fully crossing the border but decided against it. There was no need to actually provoke the tom. Instead she just blinked at his words and tilted her head slightly, as if she were thinking about what he just said. "If you say so," she said after a while. "But your clan isn't small from what I can tell. Can you and your clanmates really afford to turn a blind eye?" She chuckled a little before she continued. "Apprentices, huh? I think I've seen those before. Given how young they are I'd expect them to break the rules your clan has more often than 'just some minor instances'. Is your clan that strict or were you just an exception?"

Heronflight took another bite as she listened to Turtlepool and Thymestar. "A rock? Maybe the apprentices need an extra lesson in gathering moss", she said with a slight smile. "Good thing Ivysplash brought some fresh moss then." When Thymestar continued she nodded sympathetic. "Ah, that's something no cat can really get used to. If it gets too bad you should go see Icewhisper but there's only so much herbs can do, I'm afraid."

"I wouldn't throw the apprentices to the foxes yet. I might have accidently kicked ot in myself." Turtlepool said nonchalantly. "I remember my time as an apprentice and man did I never hear the end of it when I missed a burr in Palerose's bedding" she laughed at the memory but sighed at the way it aged her.

Thymestar just nodded.

(Poor thymestar doesn't have to deal with his aches for long. But even at 21 my hips ache all the time))

Snowdapple layed down and took a bite 9f the squirrel. "This is really good. Thank you for catching it." She said taking a few more hungry bites.

"I think I was an exception." Elmsong replied, ears pricking up when he saw Sakura walk into the clearing. "Crossed the border to see your loner friend?" he asked her, his voice nonchalant but his gaze was suspsicious.

"I don't know what the punishment would be if there is one." Elmsong said. "I don't see the harm in talking to her but you should also understand it's your duty now as a Clan cat to make sure she doesn't cross into our borders." he explained

"Did you forget anything back at your old den?" Elmsong asked, not sure for what reason she would return to it. He stood up and scented the air again, looking for signs of prey. "I was planning on hunting around here, why don't you come along too?" he offered

"I suppose so," purred Heronflight with an amused expression. "Maybe they are blameless. We should be more careful of what we accidentally bring into our den." Remembering her own time as an apprentice she laughed too, knowing as well as Turtlepool how cranky the elders could be back then, especially when it came to moss. Or even now, she thought, some things never change.

Icewhisper smiled at that. "That's good to hear," she said. "And I'm doing well too, thanks for asking. But I won't bother you for too long, seeing how well you all are. But if there are any issues send someone immediately. Don't worry, I'm done stocking up my herbs for now so I'll definitely be in my den if you need me."

Cenra rolled her eyes when Elmsong told Sakura that she was expected to keep her "loner friend" from crossing the border. Clan cats and their borders, she thought slightly annoyed, but said nothing. Still, this Elmsong-guy seemed a little too nosy to her. Weren't clan cats allowed to spend some time by themselves, without being bothered by their clanmates? "Does it really matter what she was looking for at her den?" Cenra asked. "As long as she still fulfils her clan duties it shouldn't be an issue." To her annoyance she found that she really did sound somewhat curious.

Sakura shocked her head. “I didn’t forget anything. I... just needed to get away. I might have said a few things at camp that I wish I could take back.” She looked back at Cenra. “Yeah, I’ll join you. See you around Cenra.” With that Sakura padded farther over the border and began to search for signs of prey.

Elmsong shook his head then got up to follow after the scent of a mouse. He crouched low not far from it, pouncing quickly when he thought it would catch his scent and run. He straigtened up with the mouse hanging from his jaws and glanced back at Cenra.

"Good catch. That looks like a nice fat squirrel." Elmsong dipped his head to Sakura and spoke through the mouse he carried. "Shall we bury these and hunt for more, or head back to camp?" he looked to the she-cat, leaving her to make the decision.

Asterpaw: 10 moons. A grey spotted tabby Tom with bright blue eyes and one white paw. Despite his size Asterpaw is a rather confident cat, however, inside he is a worried, frightened, and very anxious apprentice that only wants to do the best for his clan.

“Uh, thanks,” Sakura mewed. She glanced at his mouse. “It’s a great mouse. And...” She stopped, then continued hesitantly. “I do think it is time for me to return, not that I want to. But if you would like to continue, it is fine by me.” She turned in the direction of the camp, looking back at Elmsong.

"Let's go back to camp." Elmsong said. "The fresh-kill pile looked almost full before I left." he started to lead the way. He glanced back at the border a few times, as if checking that Cenra hadn't crossed it, but he couldn't see her anymore through the undergrowth.
