Finally here! Nightheart here. I am having second thoughts about what I've gotten myself into. Wolfstar seemed like the real thing, a true leader with ideas and ability, when we started, but now I begin to doubt. Seems to me she's a user, capable of killing only the weak and helpless, leaving us to deal with any true warriors. And few that I find myself with are actually any good. I'll have to rethink where I stand. It might be time to make a challenge.  |

Moonpaw here. I try to rest, but it is all new to me. White Wing sees. "It is new to all of us" he says as though he can read my thoughts. "Be at ease. They are friends, and we are safe here. Here, come rest beside me." I do, trusting in him and his belief in Leafclan.

Mossfur here. We can hear the falls near us. Although the others may have experience, I say "Careful, all. The falls are near, and, even though we can swim, it won't be fun if you go over them." I hear snickering behind me, so I quickly add "Just thought I better say something. Apprentices are still learning, and warriors sometimes can become mousebrains. Quiet now."

Lilycloud here. I follow the kits into the den with Sunrise. "What can I do to help?" I ask. "They need to be reassured, but I don't know how" she says. "Maybe Silverback can tell them a story? I'll ask him. All seem calmer after his stories."

I come with Lilycloud. Head in the den, I say "Kits, would you like a story just for you?" As they settle quietly near me, I start, telling a tale my elders told me, and they said it came from twolegs, a story about sad things happenings and how the heroes grew stronger and wiser, better, because of it. Even Lilycloud and Sunrise listen.

I don't expect a response, but Splashdown, the newcomer Sneezepelt, and Skypaw come with me. Skypaw says, "You trusting an ex-Riverclaw? Might be a spy for the brat."
"I thought of that, I know he and the runt were close, so I'll keep an eye on him."
To all, I say, "Let's move out."

Wolfstar here. I watch the patrol leave. I don't need to read Nightheart's mind, such as it is, to know he doesn't like me. I know he thinks to kill and replace me. I will have to beat him to it. Time to see who are my allies and who are with him.

Cloudsky here. I listen in, and I feel myself nodding off. How embarrassing! Silverback sees, and he just chuckles. As he finishes, I say to Sunrise, "Let me help you."
With all the kits, she will have her hands full for awhile. "Maybe Scarstar will let me work with you in caring for the kits, just until they're older," I say to Sunrise. "I'll ask her."
Sunrise's smile is the only answer.

Wolfstar here. I say to the others "I need a patrol, to check around the territory for any intruders. Anyone you find who isn't us, you kill and bring here. It's meat and will be eaten. I need 5 for a patrol. Who's going?"
Dreamcloud, Blister, the nameless scrawny brown tom brothers, and a brown tabby tom, head out. It leaves only a few of us in camp, so I turn to them. "Nightheart wants to replace me, and there's only one way that can happen. I will be watching all of you. If I believe you are a threat, I will kill you. Are we clear?"
No vocal answers, but they all hang their heads in fear. They will not oppose me.

Darkmist here. While the other clans send visitors to my clan, I have, with Bramblestar's permission, set out to spy on Darkclan. Hiding in bushes by their camp, I have heard an earful. There is division in the clan. The others need to learn this. A demon, I make myself unseen, and I head back to camp.
