A forbidden love plot that takes place between two apprentices in two different clans, Ivypaw, a former rogue kit that was taken into RiverClan early and took the role of medicine cat's apprentice, and Darkpaw, a ShadowClan-born apprentice. The two apprentices are 10 or 11 moons, almost of age to advance beyond their apprenticeships. They have met a couple times at Gatherings and after the last one, about a quarter-moon ago, Ivypaw asked Darkpaw to meet at the border between the clans at Moonhigh. Darkpaw agrees and the roleplay starts as they are meeting. They don't know each other very well, but their conversations have been nice and they have left behind a history of hostility between their clans to speak with each other during the Gatherings.
But neither of the apprentices understand where the hostility comes from. Muse 1 lost her mother just after being born and was nursed by a foster mother. Muse 2's father lost his eyes after a grave injury in battle against Muse 1's clan and has hated the clan from the core of his soul since then. And unbeknonwst to either of the apprentices, Muse 1's mother was killed in a misunderstanding on the border, by Muse 2's father.
As the meetings between the two apprentices increase in frequency and they approach the end of their apprenticeships, cats begin to catch onto what is going on since the apprentices don't spend every moment expressing hate for each other. Slowly, the truth of why Ivypaw lost her mother and why Darkpaw couldn't grow and hunt with his father begins to come out to them, complicating their relationship.
Characters:
Darkpaw: Moons: 10 Physical description: A dark, black tom with an underbelly of white and three white paws, his front left paw being black. Has dark green eyes and a slim build with an unimpressive musculature. Personality/Characteristics: Darkpaw wouldn’t be exaggerating if he told you that his short life was filled with tragedy, but then he’d never make you listen to that. He’d rather carry the weight alone, make a joke or pull a prank and see you smile instead. Darkpaw, born in a litter of three was the only kitten to survive the leaf-bare’s round of whitecough. Losing his brother and sister left him lonely and guilty, feelings from which he hasn’t yet grown out of. Not demonstrating particular strengths like speed and agility, power, or ambition, one might say Darkpaw's greatest characteristic is that he would stay at the side of those close to him until the end.
Ivypaw 11 Moons Physical description- Ivypaw is a small light brown she-cat with icy blue eyes that almost look see-through. She has a small injury on her back left leg from when she was a kit. Personality- She is very sweet but can be very strict just like her mentor. She likes to assist other's no matter if they are in her clan or not. She can also be very shy when she is not helping others with injurys or herbs. Ivypaw was the eldest of a litter of 4. Her mother and father were rogues but tried to leave their litter on the clan boarder but Ivypaws youngest siblings went back to their parents but Ivypaw had stumbed into the clan boarder patrol and she was taken in under the help of the medicine cat of riverclan.

(Alright no worries. I will likely be up late in case you are.
I'll throw up a starter and just let me know if you'd like to change any details. I assumed something your character said too so just let me know if you don't like that) And let me know if the color is hard to read.)
As a cool wind brought by the later part of Leaf-fall blew over the marshland, an apprentice shivered a little as he slipped outside of the exit which protected the cats there from the elements pretty effectively. He stepped gingerly aside from the entrance, his level of anxiety at a high baseline as he listened intently to the entrance he had snuck out. He wasn't meant to be doing this, he knew that. He couldn't let any cat know he was leaving the camp, as that was sure to lead to him being followed.
It had taken him quite some time to work up the courage to make the leap, to rise from his nest, maneuver through a den of apprentices without stepping on any heads or tails and make his way out of the camp silently. He wasn't a daredevil or a rule-breaker by any means, preferring to stay within the drawn lines of obedience and deference to the Warrior Code and his mentor. But this...something was making this feel different. This felt worth it, and the idea made him smile.
"Will you meet me at the border? Moonhigh, in a quarter-moon? I don't want to wait a moon, or possibly two before we speak again..." Darkpaw's eyes shined as he remembered the words Ivypaw had said to him seven days ago. It had taken him utterly aback, that a cat had taken to their conversations so much that she would want to meet him again, outside of the Gathering. What was interesting about him was beyond his comprehension, but she had made him feel like she was...enjoying his company, and that felt really good.
He finally turned away from the exit to the camp, knowing almost a minute had passed and that no one could have caught him. He was certain they would have exited by now to pursue him. He began padding on ginger, careful steps, like crunching a leaf beneath his paw dozens of tail-lengths away from the camp could still somehow wake his clanmates. Looking into the sky, he gave a quiet hiss as he saw the moon. "Fox-dung!" The moon had already reached it's peak--she likely would have already been waiting for him. I'm coming! Please don't leave! He silently pleaded with the she-cat who had no way to hear him.
He picked up the pace, his tardiness making him leave behind his irrational amount of caution for just a little bit. He pelted through the ShadowClan territory, letting out a breathy sigh as the wind picked up as he did, sending cold running down his back as, for some reason, the night and the circumstances made him feel more alive than training and hunting ever seemed to. With a smile on his face, he crossed the territory with haste, only slowing when he was panting from the workout and the river was within sight. He scanned its length, trying to pinpoint where she was, but he had a tough time of it with the darkness that enveloped every tendril of the lake, even given his night-adjusted ShadowClan eyes. He drew closer, beginning to feel a claw of doubt as he did so. Had she left? Did she think he had abandoned her, and their plan to meet?

Ivypaw had just gotten out of the Riverclan camp. She was standing at the edge of the water looking around, she didn't think anyone saw her. She had slept near the ntrance of the medicine cat den instead of near the herbs where she normally slept. She felt her face heat up when she remember what she had asked the black tom that she had taken a liken to. She shook her head while hissing under her breath while she rushed through the river. 'Why... Why did i do that...' She thought. 'This isn't going to be good if we get caught.'
She shook her head of the thoughts and continued trecking through the water to the other side. She shook her pelt out and licked her chest before she glanced up at the moon. It was almost to the peak, she shook her head again and started rushing over to the boarder. 'I hope he wasn't waiting long." She thought as she slowed her speed down to a small jog when she got closer to the boarder. She looked around after she hid beside some brush to make sure there was no one else coming.
Her tail tip twitched as she felt nervous wondering if Darkpaw would actually show up or not. She bit her lip and her mind was going through different directions of what would happen if he did show up. 'Would he bring someone from his clan ause he was worried about what she wanted?' She closed her eyes and dipped her head under her paws as she listened for the pawsteps of Darkpaw.
((Sorry i didn't post last night. I actually got home later then i expected and i put my daughter to bed before i passed out shortly after. ^^' ))

(No worries ^^)
He had felt a gradual tingling building up in his paws as he exited the game, building up the closer he drew to the division between their territories. As he came to stand at the edge of the bank, scanning over the other side for any sign of Ivypaw, the tingling started to subside as he grew worried she had in fact left, thinking he wasn't coming.
He hissed quietly to himself feeling a sense of disappointment and guilt at the fact that he had waited so long in camp and staring at the entrance after he had stepped out. If he had made his way here faster...
As his disappointment was turning to a bit of desperation, his gaze made its way down the river, about a minute's walk, towards the stepping stones which any clan but RiverClan preferred to get to the other side. Anxiety twitched within him as the passing thought of crossing was swirling around his mind, despite knowing he was already breaking the Warrior Code being, and that crossing was just another infraction on his conscious. He didn't like breaking the Code, fearing what StarClan, or worse, his mother might do to him as a result.
But without firmly telling himself to stop, his paws seemed fine making their way down the river a ways until he was approaching the stepping stones. He breathed in a deep breath, realizing he had forgotten to check the scents where he had first arrived at the river. Feeling like a mouse-brain, he quickly cast a glance back in that direction, but it was useless with how dark it was.
The fresh scent of the water was the strongest scent he could detect, and he would have had to admit that it was a very pleasant scent. Across the way came the scent markings of RiverClan as well, but he shoved those into the back of his mind as he prepared to make the leap across.
He lined himself up with the stones, backing up a couple tail-lengths and then got a running start, leaping over the rushing current and landing with a slight scrabble of his front paws, his tail fluffing up in fear at the possibility of getting lost to the river's roar. What kind of warrior would he be if he couldn't cross a stinking river?
The next jump was easier, and by the third his tail-fur was lying flat(ter). Despite not being able to get a running start on them, he found making the first one was its own confidence boost, and the gaps didn't feel so unwieldy. He got too confident, though, as he reached the last jump to reach RiverClan's side, and he jumped a little short, his front legs reaching the land and his rump and back legs ended up splooshing down into the river. He immediately felt the current tugging at them and threatening to grab him like the talons of a hawk. "Mouse-brain!" He hissed in alarm at himself.
His tail fluffed up once more and he desperately clawed into the ground in front of him with his front claws, resisting the pull of the river and trying to pull himself up. The water was freezing in the cold hours of the Leaf-fall night, and the cold spread rapidly to the rest of his body like the cold dead branches of Leaf-bare.

She stood up to meet him before she heard the scramble of nails on stones before she rushed out from under the brush to see Darkpaw jumping across. She smiled and sat watching him still slightly out of his eye site before she gasped and rushed towards him when he jumped to short. "Hang on Darkpaw." She tld him before she grabbed the scruff of his neck and tried to pull him up onto the bank.
When she couldn't get a good grip on his neck she jumped into the somewhat rapid water and tried to push him up on the bank. "I am going under you.... use me to push yourself up.." She told him before she went under the water and placed herself under his back paws and tried to swim upwards to help him.
((Sorry its short i can't think of anything right now ^^))

(Please don't worry, i know you're really busy, i don't want you to feel pressured to post when you don't have much energy for it. take care of yourself)
As Darkpaw struggled to fight in between the rushing current and the scrap of land he had a hold of, he didn't realize she was approaching due to the roaring of the river; at least, it felt that way to the incapable swimmer. His claws were hooked in to a wet and soft part of the water's edge, and he was too afraid of being torn away by the water to unhook a claw and reach further up.
It wasn't until her paws were practically in his face that he realized the she-cat was already there. He had no time to celebrate that she hadn't left their meeting as she tried in vain to get a firm hold of his scruff; they were both small, but neither of them probably had the sort of muscle one needed to drag another cat like a trained warrior could. He could hear her urgent mew before she dove under the water, and he felt a flash of alarm before he quickly reminded himself that she was a RiverClan cat.
He felt Ivypaw's weight fighting the current with him, shoving his rump up enough that he felt a little more confident, unhooking a claw and bracing against her just for a moment as he swiftly swatted his paw into the ground further in, using his claws to pull himself out with the support of Ivypaw. He hauled himself out of the water, panting with relief as he quickly turned around. Even though he was sure she could pull herself out, Darkpaw didn't stop himself from reaching down, trying to grab her scruff just as she had tried, but having about as much success helping. He stepped back, heaving and quickly beginning to shiver from the mixture of the cold water and the light breeze which felt so much colder now.

Ivypaw continued to fight against the water and swIm upwards the pop her head out of the water. She took in a deep breath as she did come up and swim towards the bank. Feeling teeth on her scruff she hooked her claws into the dirt and tried to climb out of the river. She shook as she climbed up not having the muscle to pull herself up but with Dadkpaws help she was getting up slowly.
She finally flopped onto the land and fwll to her side breathing heavily before shr hopped up and shook her pelt. "We need to get warm fast.." She told him, stuttering over then slightly.

(It's okay.)
"I...I'm so sorry..." He mumbled, casting his eyes down towards his paws with shame after she urged him they needed warmth, something he had no clue how to find in this wind-chilled, Leaf-fall night. What an absolute mousebrain he had made himself out to be! What was she going to think of him now that he'd almost drowned himself and froze them both?
"Is there anywhere with cover? An old foxhole? A cave?" His mew didn't have a lot of hope in it, but he was trying to be the least bit helpful. If there wasn't anywhere they could avoid the wind, he would be left to suggest they huddled up together, but that idea sent anxiety spiking down his pelt as he wondered what in StarClan this she-cat he barely knew would think of that. If he stopped to process the implications of why she had asked him out here in the dark of night, he might have been a little more confident suggesting that as well, but he was a little busy...shivering.

Ivyoaw smiled softly and nodded her head. "Its okay. Just be carefull next time silly." She told him before she looked around. "I think so. Its a bit far from here but it will keep us safe from hawks and badgers." She turned towards the southwest boarder. "Come on. Its this way." She then took off at a small run towards the small cave that she had used as her own get away fron camp.
"Now you need to make Sure no one watches you come this way if we meet over here. Its my secerate oasis." She tossed back at him and then slowed to a walk as they got closer to a small cave somewhat hidden by vines and brambles. "Welcome to my humble cave..." She said leading the WA inside.
Inside the cave was desently dark excapt for small rays of sun shooting through the vines as they were parted. In a corner was a small nest covered with moss and a couple cobwebs, in the other corner was a half eaten mouse nearby a small puddle.

Darkpaw's embarrassment was clear as his cheeks reddened as she lightly scolded him, and he noted that he was going to have to practice crossing the stepping stones. Though, given this attempt, doing so alone probably wasn't going to be a good idea.
His eyes widened as she mentioned a safe place that she knew. Hawks? For real? They were going to have to be careful of hawks? And badgers on top of that? "W-well, have you scented any badgers recently?"[/b] The small apprentice mewed nervously as he took a path a couple steps behind her, a little too focused on Ivypaw and her invitation to focus on the dark territory around them. If he was smarter, he would be searching for any ShadowClan cat that might have noticed his moonhigh exit from camp, but he was having a hard time thinking of anything other than his curiosity, that why some cat, especially one from another clan, would want to spend a little more time with him.
"Oh, wow," He murmured quietly as she revealed her humble abode, stepping up to stand shoulder to shoulder with her. "It's like a leader's den," He quietly murmured, clearly impressed by the space she had managed to find for herself. "And it even has water..." He gazed at the pool, thinking of his own marshy territory which didn't do a good job holding any drinkable water.
