Rainpaw lowered his head at his mentors request for him to head back to camp. Had he done something wrong? Did he choose the wrong path to the sea? Shaking his head, he jumped out of sight, determined to make it back to camp without any trouble. The rain that was falling soaked his pelt, making him look like a lost kit. Stopping to shake out his fur under he protection of a large berry bush, he huffed. This day ended nothing like he had hoped. He wanted to make his mentor happy, but it seems like he had other things in mind. Shaking his fur once more, he ran the last few tail lengths back to the protection of his camp. Thankfully the rain that fell was warm. Walking through camp with his tail dragging, leaving a small trail of mud behind him, he plopped next to his sister, Frostpaw. Shaking his wet fur once again, water droplets sprayed all around him. "Hi." He mewed definably. Lightnings black and white fur stuck to his body, the rain pouring from the sky. "Why did we think this was a great idea." He complained. He was not a huge fan of getting his pelt wet, even more so being stuck out on a patrol while it happened. Huffing loudly, the grumpy warrior lifted his ears as Morningdew mentioned the two-legs and their dogs. His sopping wet fur trying to stand on end at the scent of them, but clinging nontheless. "The last thing we need right now is a fight with a two-legs mouse brained dog." He hissed, glancing around the small patrol of cats to make sure they were not in harms way. Brindlebriar short fur clung to her pudgy body as she gathered one of Applenoses fresh kits back to camp. Her heart swelled as she, her mother, and Applenose made it back to the safety of camp with the three healthy kits. Being born in the middle of the storm raised concerns for her that she chose not to voice to Applenose, but the thought of sickness taking over the body of the small kits worried her immensely. The kits and Applenose would have to be watched closely for the next few hours to make sure they get dry and warm before anything happens. Nosing her way back to her nest, she placed the little damp bundle against applenose. The queen was clearly tired, having birthed kits and then carrying them back to camp. All eyes were on them. Brindle began to lick Applenose's fur dry. "No need to try to dry yourself right now, sweetheart. You must rest and recover. You are so strong for doing that." She mewed, her rumbling purr loud as she licked. Littleripple followed behind the small group of cats, a little kit mewing for her mother in her jaws. The little kit was strong as it wiggled around, fighting the unfamiliar cat who held it. Littleripple rested in the fact that Applenose had successfully kitted without Flameheart beside her, and in a storm no less. Laying the kit beside her belly once inside the safety of the nursery, Littleripple dipped her head and saw her way out. The nursery was full, leaving no room for visitors. Shaking her long damp fur out, she yawned. She had been moving nonstop and her old bones were tired, and the rain sure didn't help the ache hat gnawed at her joints. Padding into the elders den, Thistletongue sat with Brindlewing. Giving him a welcoming ick on the flank. the old warrior collapsed in her nest, falling asleep almost immedietly. Little droplets of rain trickled through the thick canopy of camp, leaving small puddles here and there. While Rushingkit slammed Brightkit into the dirt, Acornkit stomped in a puddle, her laughter ringing. Kicking up some of the mud, she flung a small paw full at his sister, landing it right on her flank. "Surprise!" The little grey and white tom yelled, his tail sticking straight up in the air. Brightkit darted around her father, her mind racing with happiness. Not having siblings to play with was hard, but thankfully, Palespirits kits were like siblings to her. Watching Acornkit play in the puddles, Brightkit was distracted and lost sight of Rushingkit as she barreled into her hind legs, folding her like large leaf. Yelping in surprise, Brightkit played dead, allowing Rushingkit to glory in her victory of taking down the large calico. As acornkit splashed in the muck, a large splash of wetness hit her fur, making her jump in alarm. "Ick!" She cried, her ears flat. "That is so gross, Acornkit!" She mewed, her eyes mischievous. With a quick shake of her fur and splash of her paw, she sent mud flying in all directions, spraying the three kits with thick sticky mud. "Ha!" She laughed.

RunningfireWhere: In LeafClan camp, outside the Warriors' den With: Speckledflame ( ♥𝔉𝔯𝔬𝔰𝔱ℜ𝔬𝔰𝔢♥) Runningfire purrs louder. "Well, that's a shame. If only this storm had passed us by," he responds. "And for me, everything has being going pretty typical so far today. I woke up around dawn to a leg cramp, but it was not long until it was gone. I think all these moons are starting to catch up to me," he admits, keeping Speckledflame's gaze the whole time. "We're both getting older now, but you're still beautiful as ever," he purrs, complimenting his longtime mate.
HornetstripeWhere: In LeafClan camp With: Ashstream ( Brindlebriar) Hornetstripe gazes up at the dark clouds in the sky as a boom of thunder erupts around them. "This weather isn't too convincing either," he then adds. "Well, whether this is just a trend of bad luck or StarClan is angry with us, I hope it ends soon, like we've said," he adds, not knowing what else to say to the other tom.
StarlingnoseWhere: In LeafClan camp With: open Starlingnose then looks up at the sky, spotting the dark clouds and listening to the raindrops hitting the leaves above her. Foxdung! Looks like there won't be any patrols in this weather! If one is sent out, with our previous luck, a cat will definitely be struck by lightning or crushed by a fallen tree branch! She thinks. She pouts a little once she sits underneath the shelter of a tree limb, her hopes of being put on patrol being crushed.

((If I owe replies, please let me know! ♥𝔉𝔯𝔬𝔰𝔱ℜ𝔬𝔰𝔢♥)) Blinking slowly with delighted surprise, Brindlewing shifted over to make some room for Thistletongue. She listened to the tabby warrior's report as she accepted and tucked into the vole. "It's wonderful to hear good news," she purred once Thistletongue had finished speaking. "New life in the Clan... It will give Nightstar - and the rest of us - something positive to focus on." Her gaze drifted in the direction of the nursery, and her tailtip flicked up and down thoughtfully. "I pray they never have any woes like alligators."

In trees my Harmony Stream & Open to Anyone >> Wolfspirit dug his claws into the dry bark of the large tree he perched in. Weeks ago when his clan was brutally attacked by the water monster, Wolfspirit had decided to sit above the water by the stream and watch. What for? He was unsure of what exactly he was waiting for, but sitting in camp among the hurt and sick made his paws ache for any sense of normality, giving him a new sense of drive he had not felt before. His clan had been atacked. His leader had fallen ill. Kits were being born left and right. Applenose lost her mate. While Starclan was belssing them with life in the nursery, life outside had been taken in turn. Narrowing his eyes , he felt his fur rise. Other cats were here, he was no longer alone. Turning his head slowly, he sniffed the air, the scents of five different cats grazing the roof of his mouth. Scorchstreak with his apprentice Rainpaw, Waspstrike, Lightningstrike and Morningdew. He lowered his head and blinked. They were out on a patrol, and had no reason to bother him. Wolfspirit and Lightningstike got along easily, seeing their outlook in life was very similar, even more so since the passing of his mother. His attention snapped out from his thoughts as he heard the shredding of bark as the small patrol took the trees. He lowered himself onto the branch he took refuge in and held his breath, not wanting to explain to others what he was doing up here on his own. They seemed to have some sort of plan for themselves, heading away from where the tom was plotting.

///Okay! I'll jump in Mothdapple Brindlebriar RE: Brindelbriar - Wolfspirit///
Earthclaw padded through the trees, shaking his head and muttering to himself. He had missed the patrol he was supposed to be on. The aching thoughts of everything going on had kept him awake for too much of the night. Now, he headed towards Harmony Stream, hoping the cool, clear water would help to calm his mind and freshen him up. Hearing noises ahead, probably one of the patrols, he ducked to the side and skirted far around, still too nervous to confront them about why he had slept in so late.

Wolfspirit >> Demitraeus Dehlfvaen Mothdapple
Wolfspirit glanced down. The rain ahd startedto fall rather hard, making it hard to hear things around him, but a loud rssle of leaves below the tree he was hiding in caught his attention. Earthclaw had ventured out of camp. The tom had not been out in moons, finding it hard, like the rest of the clan, to find his footing after all of the things that has happened in the clan. Coughing to catch his attention, he motioned with his tail for the tom to join him in the trees. A little company from his quiet companion would do him some good.

///I'll give a short reply and wait for Dawn to also jump in~///
Earthclaw perked his ears and glanced upwards, spotting Wolfspirit through the leaves, perched on a branch. He gave a friendly swish of his tail, bending to take a quick drink of the cool, clear water. It felt refreshing, and the thought of some quiet company perked his spirits a bit. He quickly scaled the tree, perching on a branch near Wolfspirit, saying nothing, but peering around at the drizzles of water that dribbled through the leaves of the tree.

The young calico she-cat then feels a little thirsty, and the pouring rain is not helping her thirst. So, Starlingnose slowly pads out of LeafClan camp in the rain and heads towards Harmony Stream. It does not take long for her to arrive, as it isn't too far from camp. She does not notice that Earthclaw and Wolfspirit are in a nearby tree and simply heads over to the stream, lapping at the flowing water. She shakes her fur a little, trying to dry it, which sends a few raindrops flying.

Swansong was still snarling silently at her reflection when the rustle of brush behind her had her sitting up from the water.
At the suddenness of Scorchstreak’s scolding the white molly had a similarly sudden flashback to her apprenticeship. Swansong had practically despised the tom who sought to cripple her massive ego whenever he could. The echo of his laughter and past scoldings like claws on her ears.
Pelt hot, Swansong whirled to face him and those glaring eyes. Those warm, somehow still caring eyes... She hated them. The embarrassment of being caught on her thoughts and being scolded like a kit again by this tom was pushing her towards a precipice. She didn’t know what lay over the edge but she knew it couldn’t be good. At least for the tom himself.
“Mind you own tail thank you very much.” She growled, her own tail lashing, the feathery fur on it catching the waters surface and sending droplets across the grass at their paws.
Scorchstreak was tall like her and was one of the few cats who could naturally meet her eye. In more ways than one. It was one of the reasons she hated whenever their gazes met, his look saying he could see her, understand her. It was a load of mouse dung.
The scent of Rainpaw clung to his fur, obviously they’d be training out in the forest. With her semi wet tail Swansong gave the Somali tom an impatient, dismissive flick. “I’m not your apprentice anymore remember? Go grouch after someone who’s willing to put up with it.”
———
“I don’t mind the rain.” Bearswipe grumbled but then gave the other tom a smile to soften his tone. Mentally he tried to shake off the cloud hovering over him, clinging to his fur like the first droplets of cold rain currently were.
Hobbling a bit Bearswipe began to pick his way directly for the exit to camp. Sitting beside it was Pinecrest obviously standing guard, the tom was ramrod straight even if his eyes seemed glazed over with thoughts. As they approached the tom came to, his gaze lingering on Bearswipe’s injured leg.
“You should be careful with that.” Pinecrest mewed and he tried not to flinch at how much it reminded him of Doeleap. Was it like this for everyone? Unable to recover? Would she haunt him in every face, in every phrase?
“I’m fine.” He tried his best to keep the bite from his voice as he pushed into the tunnel, the space tighter than normal for a cat of his stature.
When he came out on the other side he glanced over his shoulder to wait as Walnutpaw joined him.
———
Dewdrop felt her throat catch as the young tom pressed his nose to her cheek. He was already a better care giver than she was, a better medicine cat too it seemed. Not that Pecanpaw’s relationships would ever anger Starclan, not when it wouldn’t result in kits.
A part of her raged against it but another part, the stronger part was just afraid.
“He’s not a clan cat.” She finally whispered, the confession shuddering out of her like they were her last words. Her doom.
———
Wildmane was a bit surprised as the sweet Molly’s voice took on a sour undertone. It didn’t show on her face but her eyes lingered on the apprentice as they made for the tree line.
Unconsciously Wildmane lifted her tail to rest it against Sunflowerpaw’s. Though her own movement startled her she realized it felt right and bumped the she-cat’s flank with her own.
———
Sharppaw lifted his tail in greeting as he noticed his mentor coming his way. He’d just made his way back to his spot, or their spot he should say when she’d broken the tree line and became spottable.
The rather stocky apprentice had simply sat beside his dug up catches and did his best not to frown at the prey dangling from Cinderblaze’s jaws. More than his own. The rabbit was fat but still only counted for one, but if he’d been able to catch one of those crows... well he could have tied it up at least.
(Sorry if some of the replies are short)

Wolfspirit \\ Demitraeus Dehlfvaen Mothdapple Wolfspirit nodded as Earth climbed up the tree and joined him on the branch he had been hiding in. "What do you think we could do about that water gator?" He asked, looking down into the Harmony stream. The waters had been quiet since the last attack, but he knew that the animal was in there somewhere. Watching as the seemingly inviting waters bubbled and swirreled, another cat caught his eye. Starlingrose had come to the steam to drink as well. Calling down, he waved his tail, alerting the she-cat that the two were hiding in the tree.

Earthclaw was quiet for a moment more, considering the implementations he already knew. "I have a bad feeling that as long as there's water in the stream, it'll be untouchable." He hadn't witnessed the attacks firsthand, but had seen some of the wounds, and the pain of the loss of those who had not escaped was a deep one. He peered at the rippling, gurgling stream, seemingly so innocent and life-giving, and narrowed his eyes, unable to escape the pressure of the curse it had put upon the clan.

The young she-cat peers up in the branches above her and spots Wolfspirit and Earthclaw up in one of the trees. "Oh hey!" She meows, purring a bit at the sight of Wolfspirit, a cat who she has fancied for a few moons now. "What's going on? You think there could be a gator in the stream?" She asks, glancing back at the flowing stream worriedly. She had witnessed the death of the Clan's former deputy, Flameheart, and she has been extra afraid of gators since. But... she's thirsty so she might as well risk being attacked by a gator so she does not die from dehydration instead.

Darkfern was quiet for a few moments as he considered the options. Then, with a flick of his tailtip, he cleared his throat. "We could go to the Tall Spruce on the way back," he suggested. "It's on the way back to camp, and there's always birds around. A nice starling is just what I need right now." As if to prove his words, Darkfern's belly rumbled loudly; the big black tomcat chuckled shyly as he added, "I didn't mean for you to hear that."

Waspstrike - Forest - Morningdew, Lightningstrike (♥𝔉𝔯𝔬𝔰𝔱ℜ𝔬𝔰𝔢♥, Brindlebriar)Waspstrike parted his mouth as the patrol travelled through the trees, before signaling that it was safe to drop down. Padding through the undergrowth, he took in both Morningdew and Lightningstrike’s words. “To be honest, I hope the rogues have learned their lesson. Though, I’ll bet they’ll be back soon,” he mewed, peering through the undergrowth at the Twolegs. They were dumb to trust those slobbering dogs and bring them close to the clan’s territory. Shaking his head, he began to mark the border, ears perked for any sign of intruding rogues or curious dogs. Cinderblaze - Meadow - Sharppaw (Fallenleaves)Cinderblaze padded up to her apprentice, grinning at his kills as she set down her prey. “Nice job, Sharppaw. That rabbit looks delicious; I’m sure the elders or queens would enjoy that.” She could tell he was disappointed, so she didn’t want to put him down. Instead, she turned her head toward the sky as it began to rain. Of course it wouldn’t wait until they were back at camp. Shaking her fur out, she sighed. “We should head back now. Don’t want to catch a chill.” Cinderblaze bent to pick up her prey and took the lead back toward the shelter of the forest. Sakura - Her den - Shade (nimble)Sakura gave a slight chuckle at the tom’s response, taking another bite of the mouse. Her gaze followed the edge of the clearing as she spoke, “When do you suppose we should visit the clan cats again? I feel we have waited quite a while, but I also feel we should wait longer.” She sighed, taking a breath before continuing. “It’s a constant battle in my head,” she mewed with a grin. Sakura took the last bite of the mouse before pushing the bones into the undergrowth. She suddenly wondered where Angel and Crimson had wandered off to. It wasn’t necessarily her business, but it still wandered around in her brain.

Following after the scent of the mouse, Russet padded though the undergrowth in search for it as rain rolled off his whiskers. The scent of the mouse was being covered up by the rain and Russet grumbled as his pelt began to cling to him, hunting in this weather was becoming pointless and annoying, as such he decide to cut his losses and return back to his den with the mouse he already caught. As he shock out his fur, Russet was caught off guard by the sudden force of impact that crushed into him making him stumbled on his paws and turned around glaring at the she-cat in front of him gasping for air from their collision. Russet looked the young she-cat over, she wasn’t a Leafclan cat and guess she was another rogue that hung around outside the border, feeling more annoyed at his wet pelt and now some foolish she-cat wasn’t careful about her surroundings. “Watch where you’re going, mouse brain!” He hissed flicking his tail back and forth. “As if this rain wasn’t bad enough having another cat stumbling around and slamming into others while hunting is irritating too.”
“Ah, that is wonderful.” Cobrastorm meowed seeing Applenose and the other queens return to camp with three kits as they head straight for the nursey to escape the rain and get warmth for the kits. He flicked his ears as Nightstar mentioned Flameheart, sometimes it was hard to believe the former deputy was gone and while those closer to Flameheart such as Applenose and Nightstar were starting to accept it and moving forward, the orange and white tom would always be remembered by the clan for his bravery, actions, and moons of services he gave to the clan. “There’s no doubt he isn’t. Flameheart is knows the clan will look after his kits and train them to be strong warriors just like him.” Cobrastorm purred giving Nightstar a few comforting licks over her ears.
Twilightblaze Warrior Heading for Camp w/ Almondpaw
Grabbing the rest of fish, Twilightblaze tracked her way back to camp alongside Almondpaw. She caught scent that most cats that were out in the forest before the storm hit, were already making their way back to escape the pouring rain and get back to the warmth of their nest. Twilightblaze glance over at Almondpaw as the made their way back, at the moment she felt proud for her apprentice thinking back to the day they become mentor and apprentice, back then Twilightblaze had her own doubts about becoming a mentor but as time past, she found herself enjoying the time she spent with Almondpaw, even now and she knew all the hard work that Almondpaw did would soon pay off once she was made a warrior and Twilightblaze was looking forward it, to praise the usual joyful she-cat once more.

Skunkpaw / Apprentice / Forest / Sweetberry (♥𝔉𝔯𝔬𝔰𝔱ℜ𝔬𝔰𝔢♥)The rain splattered dark blotches onto the the apprentice's black and white pelt, slicking it down, and she shook her head slightly to clear out the fur from her eyes. "Let's keep going." She decided fervently. "I want to be out of camp as long as I can. I don't need Morningdrew fussing over me anymore." As grateful as she was for her mother, sometimes the excessive concern felt stifling after the incident. Or the reminder that Frostpaw hates me now. Going back to camp was yet another reminder that she would have to see her sister again, and remember that Frostpaw wasn't talking to her, hadn't come to see her. But out here in the forest, she felt free. Her heart felt light. She didn't feel confined, like a cornered rat. She felt just a little bit like the apprentice she used to be. Her steps were getting more steady too, and though she still stumbled, she steadied herself quicker. It would be a while until her leg could touch the ground, so she would have to get used to this. And it also made her restless. "Isn't there anything we can do right now?" She begged. "I need to learn something, even if it isn't training. I need to become a warrior. I hate being useless. Can't I do anything on three legs?" Her gaze was hungry, burning with a need to improve, and to contribute. Being a warrior had been her only dream, and now it was stunted. Her heart was as heavy as stone, but she still had a bit of fervor in her gaze. (Me too! He's gonna be such a fun character, I can't wait to use him!) Sandpaw / Apprentice / Camp / Frostpaw (♥𝔉𝔯𝔬𝔰𝔱ℜ𝔬𝔰𝔢♥)Sandpaw remembered the day vividly. He had been 5 moons, and the tiniest kit. It had amazed every cat with how much he had grown as an apprentice, as if a monster growth spurt had hit him the moment he had started training. His apprentice ceremony was to be that evening, and it had been their last chance to catch something as kits. Getting out of camp had been easy enough. They had dodged the guard in Cobrastorm, and even made it past Sweetberry and Larkshadow - then Larkpaw - out training. They'd had each other's back, making sure neither of them got caught. Neither of them had ever agreed on who scented the rabbit first. It had been huge, especially compared to the kits, but they were tenacious. Frostkit had stalked it from behind, and when she'd gotten close enough, leaped onto its back. The rabbit had pelted in terror out the undergrowth, right into Sandkit's waiting claws. It had been a great kill, except the rabbit's mad yelp had drawn a nearby patrol, only to lead to their discovery. Sandpaw couldn't help but purr softly at the memory, though sentimental had never really been his thing. His eyes widened in mock surprise as he looked at Frostpaw. "Why, you sound like an elder already, even though you're barely out of the nursery!" He teased, sinking into a crouch, tail wagging from side to side. "Are you planning to move into the Elder's Den soon, Frostybones?" He asked with an exaggerated bow. "Might I have the honor of checking your pelt for ticks?"Lightfall / Deputy / Warrior's Den / Snowpaw (♥𝔉𝔯𝔬𝔰𝔱ℜ𝔬𝔰𝔢♥)As Lightfall padded into the warrior's den, her eyes widened at the sight of the neat rows of mossy nests being formed. Snowpaw had clearly been at work, and her diligent effort showed. "Well done!" She meowed, padding forward. I must admit, they do look comfortable. She stepped into one of the nests and settled in, admiring the placement of the moss and how it tucked around her sides. She noticed with appreciation that Snowpaw had included some feathers in hers, making it even softer. Just until...the rain dies down...She let out a long yawn, then mumbled, "Wake me up when..." And then, she was out like a light, too weary to even finish the sentence. She looked more peaceful than she had in a long while, tail curled over her nose.
