I honestly hope Barley dies soon.
Feels like it's his time and he wants to be with his cat husband. I would die to read a scene of their reunion. I bet Ravenpaw misses Barley a lot too

Chapter 24: Now Fang wakes up and is upset that Graystripe didn't wake him up early. Graystripe bids farewell to Barley. Barley says that if this is the last time he sees a Clan cat, he's glad it was Graystripe. Fang thanks Barley as well, and Barley says that any kit of Gremlin's is welcome in his barn. Graystripe leaves with Fang, Monkeystar, and Clawwhistle. Graystripe intends for them to go home, but Monkeystar insists that they can help them. Graystripe realizes he should have foreseen this happening. He tells them what he and Fang are doing is far too dangerous for them, but they insist otherwise. Graystripe tells them that he doesn't want to see them being added to the cats who he has to mourn.
They insist it's unfair, since Graystripe has taught them so much already. Graystripe decides to tell them that they get the most important task of the quest, to make sure that no badgers come and disturb Barley. They agree, and Graystripe and Fang go on their way to Fang's old twoleg nest. They cross through what was once RiverClan territory. Although the land is mostly untouched by twolegs, Graystripe still feels it's different. There aren't any border markers or scents of cats. He looks to ThunderClan's territory, and sees rows upon rows of twoleg dens. They go past Sunningrocks, and Graystripe recalls how often he slipped out to meet Silverstream there. He sees Treecutplace, and recalls the dog pack that threatened the Clan seasons ago. As they enter twolegplace, Graystripe feels his nostrils engulfed with a horrid stench, and Fang explains that they've arrived. The nest is unkept, the fence is broken, grass is creeping in, and there's garbage everywhere. Graystripe thinks that the stench is so bad, he wants to vomit. Fang and Graystripe climb onto a windowsill, and looking inside the window, Graystripe is horrified to see cats in there, enough to make a whole Clan. Fang says that there were ten to fifteen cats in there when he left, but adds some might have died, and some kits might have been born. Fang reveals that he doesn't think the kits inside will be willing to listen to him, and they need someone with authority. Graystripe wonders if Fang means him. He instead suggests using the door that Fang used to escape, and to try and make the hole bigger so every cat can escape. Trying to break the wood on the door fails, and Graystripe peers inside the den. He sees piles and piles of garbage littered everywhere. He can make out at least a dozen cats, all scrawny and ragged-looking. He realizes that the imprisoned cats have to make dirt where they are, unable to have a proper place to go. He then scents infection, and realizes a cat is sick, speculating it to be Daffodil.
Graystripe spots a window with a tiny gap on the upper floor, and decides to go up and pry it open. Graystripe has Fang stay below, so he can encourage cats to leave. Graystripe manages to climb some branches and gets into the window, but knows that the sick, elderly, queens, and kits will have no hope of leaving through the window. As he gets inside, the awful stench overwhelms him and he's repulsed. He hears the twoleg calling out, but doesn't see her. The floor is sticky and he sees something "brown and foul-smelling" stretching in all directions. As he passes the cats, they all raise their heads to give him a blank stare. In a dark corner he spots a ginger-and-white she-cat, the scent of sickness growing stronger as he nears her. Realizing it's likely Daffodil, he wants to tell her that Fang has come back for her, but decides opening the door is more important. As he tries to pry it open, all he does is break a claw. Fang tries the door handle, but he can't manage it. Suddenly, Fang leaps backward, and looks alarmed as he looks up at the upper floor. He tells Graystripe that the twoleg has shut the window he used to come in, and now Graystripe is trapped in there.

Lowkey want Scourge to be the dad... I mean it would make sense for Gremlin to lie about him since he's evil and enemy to ThunderClan. Probably won't happen though

Chapter 25: Now (so far, anways)
Graystripe tells Fang to not panic, but is struggling to not panic himself. Fang points out another hole at an other door, and if Graystripe claws at it, he can maybe escape. Graystripe decides it's worth a try. As he goes to the door, he sees that all the other cats aren't paying him any attention. Graystripe tries clawing at the hole, but an elderly she-cat, who started watching, remarks that they've tried that before. It's Petunia, the cat who Fang knew and lived with him and Gremlin before things got bad. She's a fluffy gray cat with large, lustrous amber eyes. She says that the only cat who got to escape was "Honeysuckle", and points to Fang outside. Graystripe realizes Fang must have renamed himself from his kittypet name, and finds the name Honeysuckle amusing. Graystripe and Petunia briefly talk about Gremlin. As they speak, the elderly twoleg comes.
She's heavily malnourished and unkept, and completely passes over Graystripe. He hears her call every one of the cats "Petunia", and places some bowls on the floor. Cats instantly rush to the bowls, fighting for the food. But there isn't enough. The smaller cats are pushed out, and Graystripe realizes it has been a long time since they were last fed. Petunia in the midst of this grabs some of the scraps and rushes over to Daffodil, giving the food to her. As the other cats are fighting, Graystripe leaps to a window ledge and yowls for their attention. A black-and-white tom asks who he is, not recognizing him. Graystripe introduces himself, and explains he knows Honeysuckle. A bright orange tabby she-cat with amber eyes named Lily introduces herself, but says there's no way out. They've all tried to escape, and given up hope.
A younger cat, a lean tom with amber eyes and patches of bare skin speaks up, suggesting they attack the twoleg. Petunia hears this, and is enraged, saying "Absolutely not!". It appears despite everything, Petunia still loves her twoleg.

Petunia sounds like a sassy old thing. I love her protection of her twoleg, who sounds really sad. Sounds like the twoleg has alzheimer's or something and no one is checking up on her :c
Also, I hope Fang is not related to Scourge because more firekin

Petunia reveals that she was the twoleg's first cat, and it will break her heart if they all escape. Graystripe concludes that it's why she refers to all of the cats as Petunia, and the real Petunia confirms this. Graystripe says he understands, but it's no way for a cat to live. Petunia grunts that she's gotten used to it, and so will everyone else. Graystripe points out that some cats will die before that can happen. He says they need more care than the twoleg can give them, and it isn't right to be treated like this. The cats, even Petunia, agree. Petunia then says she may know of a way out, and Lily is mad that she never brought it up. Petunia says she isn't sure it will work. She explains that the twoleg steps outside once a day to do something, she isn't sure what, but says they can find something to prop open the door next time she leaves. Petunia however asserts that she isn't leaving.
The other cats say she can't stay in the nest, but Graystripe sees how resolute and certain Petunia is, and although he doesn't agree, he respects her choice. Lily finds an object to prop open the door, and Graystripe informs Fang of the plan.
Later on, the twoleg steps outside as Petunia said. Graystripe waits for the twoleg to step outside. As she does, Graystripe brings a small piece of twoleg pelt (the object Lily found) and places it in the door, but the door is too heavy and pushes it aside, closing it. Graystripe feels like sinking into the floor, and he can barely breathe, horrified that he may never get out of there.

I hope everything will turn out alright.
Also, Fang's real name is simply adorable and I really like Petunia. I feel sad for her as well. Especially since the Twoleg saved her from a place that kills cats. I understand her loyalty. I truly do. But this is no way for a cat to live.[\spoiler]

Chapter 26: Then
Graystripe's in his nest, and he hopes that wherever Firestar is, that he's alright. The approaching day is the day BloodClan is going to attack. But he notes that's if Gremlin was being truthful. He murmurs aloud that he trusts her, and that ThunderClan is ready. He's going to inspect the camp. In case BloodClan is watching, he wants ThunderClan to act normally. He goes to visit Cinderpelt, and she asks if it's time. Graystripe says it is, and beckons both her and Longtail to come with him, saying he'll need them. Graystripe beckons the rest of ThunderClan. However, he doesn't call a Clan meeting. Instead, ThunderClan huddles around him, speaking in low voices.
He tells them that they need to convince BloodClan that they don't suspect anything. However, Graystripe realizes he doesn't have enough warriors for everything he'd like to do. He decides to promote Frostfur and Goldenflower to warriors temporarily. He sends them on the dawn patrol, and if they scent BloodClan, to not react, only carry on as normal. Only fighting them if they can't avoid it. He tells them that when they hear the attack start, to come back to camp and help with the fight. He assigns Brackenfur and Brambleclaw to a hunting patrol towards twolegplace. He gives the same instructions as he did Frostfur and Goldenflower; only fight BloodClan if there is no other option, and to come back to camp when they hear the fight start.
He does the same to Dustpelt, Cloudtail, Thornclaw, and the apprentices. He sends them to the sandy hollow. Although he orders the apprentices to climb a tree when the fighting starts, he suspects they may not listen. He orders Ferncloud and Brightheart to guard the nursery, and assigns Longtail to help them. Dappletail and Speckletail are to hide in the elder's den, and to only fight if they need to. Ashfur and Mousefur are then ordered to hide in the long grass at the edge of the camp. When BloodClan invades, they are to yowl. The yowl is the signal for all the patrols to return back to camp. Ashfur is noted to have seemingly forgotten about his leadership and deputy complaints. When the battle starts, Cinderpelt is to protect Gremlin. If things get bad, Cinderpelt is to take her to Sunningrocks.
From my understanding, Graystripe's plan is to make BloodClan think the camp is empty. So when they attack, they can funnel BloodClan into the camp, and then when all the patrols return, they're going to trap them in the camp and attack. Graystripe figures that if he can kill Fury, the rest of BloodClan will fall, just like what happened with Scourge.

Graystripe goes into the warriors' den so they think the camp is empty. No cat argued with his battle plan, and for the first time, Graystripe is feeling like a Clan leader. But he tells himself that he isn't, and he begins to wonder if his plan will work.
After a short while, Brackenfur and Brambleclaw come back and duck inside the den with Graystripe, telling him they're almost at the camp. Brackenfur gasps that there's a lot of them, and Graystripe replies that there's a lot of ThunderClan too. He thinks to himself that if he fails, he'll have proven that he was never fit to fill in for Firestar, and he wishes Firestar was around so he could get some advice from him.
Fury leads the cats in the camp, yowling for ThunderClan to show themselves. Graystripe springs out of the warriors den, and gives the order to Ashfur and Mousefur to call back the patrols. They do so, and Brackenfur and Brambleclaw immediately spring out of their hiding spots, yowling as well. Graystripe hurls himself into battle, targeting Fury. He spots Scraps next to Fury, and hopes he doesn't have to hurt him.
The center of the camp is now engulfed in fighting. Scraps has pinned down Ashfur, while Brambleclaw and Mousefur attack two BloodClan cats who tried going for the nursery. Cloudtail, Dustpelt, and Thornclaw then arrive, followed closely by their apprentices. Graystripe mutters a curse, knowing that would happen. He sees Sorrelpaw facing up a hulking tabby three times her size. Knowing Sorrelpaw stands no chance against the tabby, Graystripe abandons Fury and drags Sorrelpaw away, telling her go to the nursery. She tries to object, but he reiterates the order. Graystripe then spots Brick, the cat Gremlin mentioned. Brick is a tom with a bare patch on his back. It apparently came from an old injury, and is his weak spot. Graystripe leaps on top of him and starts slashing at his spine. Brick manages to throw Graystripe off, and faces him off with Snipe. Snipe and Brick mock Graystripe, asking if he's really a leader since he has no cat to help him. Brambleclaw leaps in saying he does, cuffing Snipe around the ears. Graystripe spots Frostfur, Goldenflower, Ashfur, and Mousefur all fighting BloodClan.
He then sees Gremlin slinking around the camp, Cinderpelt padding behind her. However, Fury spots them, and screeches that Gremlin is a traitor, ordering Snake and Ice (yes, Barley's brothers) to stop her. Gremlin tries to run, but Ice blocks her path and Snake tackles her to the ground and starts dragging her towards Fury. Cinderpelt tries to fight but another BloodClan cat attacks her. Fury orders Snake to bring Gremlin to her, and Graystripe echoes Snake's name in his head. He wonders if that's what StarClan meant to "beware the snake's bite".

As Ice and Snake bring Gremlin to Fury, Scraps stops fighting and yowls to leave Gremlin alone. Ice asks if he really wants to do this. Scraps insists that she doesn't want to fight, she only wants to protect her kits. Snake hisses that she knows the rules, and since Gremlin cares so much about her kits that she would betray BloodClan makes her not a true BloodClan cat. Fury sneers that since Scraps seems so determined to defend her, the same can be said about him. She orders Snake and Ice to attack Scraps. Scraps fights them both off, yowling at Gremlin to get out of there. Graystripe is fighting is way to reach them, but he's too late as Scraps collapses. Graystripe does manage to tackle Snake and pin him down. Graystripe is about to kill him, but Fury yowls for him to stop. Graystripe turns his attention to her, and two BloodClan cats have got their grip on Gremlin. Both ThunderClan and BloodClan realize something important is going down and stop fighting.
Fury says that if Graystripe kills Snake, then she'll kill Gremlin, and asks "Is that what you want, ThunderClan leader?"

More proof that Brick is the same from TROS. They both have a patch of fur missing on their back. Also, Snipe from RP is here as well. Also, I still wonder what happened to Barley's brothers after RP. And please let Gremlin be safe. I mean, we know she lives here, but still.[\spoiler]
