And I finished Arthur's timeline transfer to World Anvil! It's a bit easier to see things like dates and find them now!

:3 Oh ho ho.
Story time.
So, loooooooooooong ago, in a land far far away //audio cuts out
//cough//
William Cecil was the Treasurer for most of Queen Elizabeth's run. Eventually his son because the Spy Master (who worked out the Gun Powder Plot). So Cecil also doubled as Spy Master for nearly all of Queen Elizabeth's reign too. All of John Dee's time in London until Arthur was about 6 was a long string of letters going "I need money for x," once for "I reeeeeeeeally think we should do the whole sailing to America thing too (for money)" (Cecil was horrified at the thought and said he would not side with it. Basically any time Dee tried to convince the Queen, he'd unconvinced her. Not sure how long that lasted.), and Dee once to try get him on his side to try and convince the Pope to switch to the Gregorian calendar (Ceil liked this idea. The Pope did not.) Then of course Dee started in the occult stuff and apparently started getting really worried Cecil would find out. Paranoid too. His diary records a dream where Cecil came into his house, looked through his stuff, and then disemboweled him. Fun times. Course a book went missing soon after (read: Kelly), but John thought it was Cecil. Soon after, he and the family skedaddled out of London and took Kelly with them.
Cue Cecil sending about 50 spies after them. And then Kelly does that lead to gold show. (He was asked by the Bohemian noble they were staying with to turn lead into gold. Kelly did so, in front of a lot of skeptical witnesses, and apparently its one of the few times a crowd has been very convinced of the validity of something like that. Kelly was good at his showmanship.) And then all the spies are after Kelly rather than John Dee. Cecil becomes a very single minded person just trying to convince Kelly to come back to London and make gold for them rather than, say, foreign powers. He only ever talks to Dee from that point onward if it has something to do with getting Kelly to London. They do """"""make up"""""" though. Honestly, the fact that Cecil sent so many spies. Arthur's own godfather ended up spying on the Dee family. And Arthur's grammar teacher. And half a dozen others I could name.
After the wife swapping incident between Kelly and John Dee - and give or take a week after Kelly's little show, Arthur's godfather (Dyer) comes to visit. Now, he's really good friends with John Dee. Imagine - and this actually happened - John Dee answers the door. Then Dyer's walks forward, like he's going to great Dee ... and then walks right past Dee to hug Kelly instead. Then wont leave Kelly alone for the rest of his time there ... then leaves with Kelly. Dee is just ... standing there.

person didn't come through, I know they had done a lot of textile work to be a fashion designer and some parts of fashion history were their forte but she doesn't remember specifics from the time period the Dees were alive because she mostly focuses on retro styles.

That's very valid. I have a friend who's into the Victorian era, so sadly no dice there either. I'll work it out though. Thanks for the help! <3

So no new research recently, but likely will do more.
I mean ... other than finding out he was a raging alcoholic late in life and died of liver failure. Don't be that.

As usual, when me and my RP partner start RPing with any of my character in WNH, I start getting into research again.
Today is featured studying 15th and 16th clothing. To which I state, the fact that when you look it up, I'm finding Victorian ascots makes me unreasonably annoyed. XD

In today's addition of 'what is Minty doing,' we find Mint wondering through Google, trying to work out what the interior of houses in, say, Fleet street, looked like.
Issues, as usual, are ...
You guessed it ...
Fire of London.
Found this though and it's pretty cool:
