(Hmm.. Okay, from Shiloh's standpoint, what is a situation that he would need to shift into his elk form in front of a bunch of people? I was thinking a fire or maybe a robbery.)

Clove was walking with her dear friend, Peridot, when shouts and screams were coming from further down the street. Her crystal blue eyes flickered skyward to see a dark plume of smoke coming from the top of a restaurant and home duplex. She instinctively grasped onto the arm of the witch beside her, "don't you dare." She growled before jogging towards the crowd on the sidewalk below, dragging her friend in tow. There wasn't much the two of them could do without exposing themselves so all they could do was watch. The female shapeshifter was on high-alert and grasped her friend's hand firmly so the fragile-hearted witch wouldn't run to the rescue. Wouldn't be much help to Circle Daybreak if we wind up breaking laws and getting ourselves killed for it. Sirens wailed in the distance and the people around her looked around with wide eyes, unable to tell which way it was coming from or how far the firetruck was. Luckily, Clove knew. Not so luckily, the emergency vehicle was too far and she could smell gas leaking out of the restaurant below. She murmured in Peridot's ear before dashing into the blazing building, ignoring the warnings the humans shouted at her. Peridot began moving people away by ushering them back. "Don't worry! My friend is a professional!" She shouted to soothe the nerves of the normies. A woman shrilled from within the crowd, "no, I will not be calm! My baby boy is still in there!"Peridot's green eyes shifted to see a young woman being comforted by a man in an apron- the owners of the duplex, without a doubt. Her lips pressed into a firm line and she glared at the flames licking at the window panes, hurry up, you big dolt. That place is going to blow any minute now.

Shiloh was walking around as well, trying to do some shopping, when he heard the shouts and screams. He turned toward the noise to see smoke coming from a nearby building. His curiosity and his willingness to help had him making his way over to the burning building. He watched as people crowded in front of the building and as the flames grew more intense. The firetruck on it's way would be no help in saving the building now. He saw the fellow shapeshifter dart into the building. Should he help? He looked over to the woman the shouted that he child was still in there. If her child was in there, there could possibly be more people trapped inside. He made a quick decision and followed Clove's lead as he rushed into the burning building. He had to help.

Taking the stairs to the second floor by two, Clove couldn't help thinking how much easier this would be in her snow leopard form. I can't risk being seen like that, she scolded her invasive thoughts and forced herself to focus. The fire was spreading quickly without any sign of slowing and the sounds of the structure giving way to the heat was distracting her from finding the leak. If I can find a way to patch it up- her attention was caught by the thin wail of a child; a young boy, no older than two years. Her motives quickly shifted as she ducked under the wall of smoke, crawling on her hands and knees in search of the helpless kid. She shielded her face as flames burst from a closed room, the door having broken from the pressure and heat. The shifter shook her head to clear her mind but the smoke was already making it hard to breathe. She was enduring fits of coughing by the time she found the child that had been left alone in his crib. He wailed when he saw her, crying for help, and it didn't stop even after she had scooped him into her arms. Clove forced herself to straighten and make a dash for the exit but the entryway to the room collapsed. The burning frame blocked their path and the flames began dancing their way. Her eyes watered and burned from the thickening smoke and she had to drop to her knees, cradling the child to her as she looked around for another way out but she was beginning to feel faint.

Elijah stepped into the building pulled his shirt collar up over his nose so he could at least filter some of the smoke out of the air he was breathing. He peered through the smoke, squinting slightly because he couldn't really see and the smoke stung his eyes. He glanced up at the ceiling when he heard the cry of the young boy then he quickly made his way up to the second floor. When he got to the top of the stairs he heard the crash of the beam falling down and blocking the doorway. He could still hear the child's crying so he made his way over to the door and peered inside, making sure not to get too close to the burning beam. He saw the shapeshifter and in her arms the little boy. "Hey! Can you get out of there?" he shouted Clove. If they were trapped in there the fire department wouldn't make it in time so he would have to find a way to get them out. Maybe with a well placed kick he could break the beam and hopefully not hurt himself, but he couldn't do that in this form...

Clove managed to lift her head and shake her head in response to Elijah's question. The edge of her vision began to darken and her lids were falling. The shifter fell onto her side, still clutching the child to her tightly. The smoke was too much and had rendered her unconscious from breathing in more than her body could handle. The child was still wailing but his cries were becoming softer. If they didn't get out soon, the two of them would be at the risk of death from not just the fire but the toxic smoke.
Peridot watched helplessly and the seconds seemed to stretch into hours. She began bouncing on her toes impatiently, where are you, Clove? She bit her lower lip to hold in a whine. Neither Clove or Elijah had emerged yet and she was itching with worry- she was literally scratching the skin off the inside of her wrist from the anxiety. The mother behind her in the crowd wasn't doing much better; she was on the ground hyperventilating but keeping a steady gaze on the second floor. The sirens got closer and couldn't be far off now but it wouldn't be fast enough.

(Used the wrong name in the last post i have too many characters.) Shiloh saw her nod then cursed under his breath when he saw her fall to the floor. They were dying in there. If he didn't get them out now there was now way they would make it, the fire department wouldn't arrive in time. He took a step back and looked at the collapsed doorway. He couldn't clear out the wood and debris blocking the way in this form. If he wanted to save them he needed to shift and fast. He could charge through, but he didn't think his antlers would fit through the doorway and he didn't want burning pieces of wood to fall on top of him. The only way to get through would be to kick the blockage out of the way. So he did what he had to do and shifted. He moved a bit closer to the door and kicked the wood and debris out of the way. He cleared the entryway as quickly as he could and shifted back into his human form before rushing into the room. He picked up both Clove and the little boy, throwing Clove over his shoulder and holding the small boy in his other arm. He left the room as fast as he could in case the doorway or the ceiling decided to collapse again. He glanced around the burning building and went into a coughing fit. "You can do this Shiloh, you're almost out." he muttered to himself then started to make his way out of the burning building. He just hoped that no one saw him shift.

(I thought something was off xD but I kinda just went with it.)
Clove was not helping in any way for she was unconscious and essentially dead weight. She bobbed and shifted whenever Shiloh moved. The shifter hung limply over his shoulder, her arms and feet dangling. The boy continued to have a fit but at least he was conscious. His face was red and tears streaked through his soot covered face, his lungs burning from the smoke.
Peridot looked around her and saw many people recording the scene rather than continuing to help comfort their loved ones. Movement could be seen behind the flames and everyone waited with bated breath. The only sounds were the sirens and the crackling of the fire as it continued to engulf the entire structure. The young witch stood with her fingers crossed on both hands, "oh, please please please..." She murmured. She was staring at the exit so intensely that she hadn't even notice the arrival of the fire department and police.
(Sorry it's short xD)

A few moments later Shiloh came staggering out of the building. He was breathing heavy as he walked away from the building, partly because of having to carry Clove and partly because his lungs were trying to get some clean air back into his system. He looked up and his eyes scanned the waiting crowd, the crowd waiting for them. By the looks of things it looked like the fire department and police had only just arrived. It was a good thing that he went in after them, they might not be alive right now if it weren't for him. A shapeshifter saving lives, now that was an interesting thought.

Peridot's eyes brightened and she ran to Shiloh's aid as well as the mother of the child. The mother took her child from Shiloh as she smiled and cried, clutching to her baby boy. Her eyes were enough to show her gratitude but she hugged and kissed the young man's cheek, "thank you. Bless you, boy." She made her way back to their husband where they hugged and checked to make sure their child was okay. That was the point in which everyone became concerned with giving their own reports to their police and the news station vehicles that were arriving at the scene. The young witch brushed some of Clove's hair from her eyes, "we should get her out of here. You know how messy it can be with one of us ending up at the hospital." She murmured. No one seemed to be paying the three much attention at this moment-- so selfish.

Shiloh gently set Clove down with Peridot's help then handed the baby boy off to his mother. He stiffened slightly from the hug, since he wasn't expecting it, but he accepted it anyways. He smiled at the mother. "You're welcome." he said with a smile and a nod then watched her walk away before looking to Peridot and Clove. So they were other night worlders. He was wondering if they were but he didn't and wasn't going to say anything about it. "Yeah let's go." he said in agreement as he glanced around. Nobody seemed to be paying attention to them so they could sneak away easily. He bent down and picked Clove up again before he started to make his way away from the scene.

(I'm sorry it's been a while and the reply is short >o< I just got on break so I should be a bit more active now.)
Peridot stuck close to Shiloh's side since she wanted to make sure her friend was okay. Love wasn't in the vocabulary of an asexual but she cared about the shapeshifter immensely. Her legs were much shorter than the male shifter but she managed. The sirens were wailing in the distance but fading from her range of hearing. The young witch sighed with relief then looked to Shiloh, "were we followed?" Her eyes darted around them but no one seemed interested in the three teens -- even though one of them is unconscious. At that thought, she looked at Clove with worry shining in her eyes.

(It's alright c: I'm glad you are back)
Shiloh continued to walk away while holding Clove carefully and more comfortably with her in his arms instead of over his shoulder. He took a quick glance around at Peridot's question then looked back to her with a shake of his head 'no'. "I don't think so. They might notice we are gone in a few minutes, but I don't think anyone saw us leave." he said to her then looked around again. "So where exactly are we going?" he asked her.

(Yeah ^^ me too. I'll still be a little spotty for a bit since I won't be home for another week >o< I'll do my best to reply when I can.)
Peridot heaved a sigh of relief when the shapeshifter reported that they weren't being tailed. She bit her lip when Shiloh asked what their point B was -- I'm not entirely sure... The witch wasn't the best with planning things through since that was what Clove usually did. "Um.. Uh.. I guess my apartment will work for now." Though he had helped and seemed nice enough, she had gotten in plenty of trouble bringing strangers straight to Circle Daybreak. Her home probably wasn't great either but at least she'd have powerful materials on hand. The young witch brightened and spoke confidentially, "Yeah! My house works," she grinned and skipped ahead a few paces. "It's not too far. A few blocks away so we should be able to get there without too many people being alarmed." She pointed to Clove: the reason people may become alarmed -- as if that wasn't already obvious.

(Sure ^^ )
The apartment building was beautiful but, since it was older, there wasn't an elevator. Peridot made sure to take the lead up the stairs with her keys jingling in her hands. She started taking light steps after the second floor and turned to put a finger to her lips, silently hushing Shiloh at the landing for the third floor. The witch dramatized her tiptoeing when she made her way down the hallway to apartment 35. The girl was fidgeting as she unlocked her door but had fumbled her keys a few times before succeeding. Once the door was open, he held it so Shiloh could cross the threshold and get inside before any of the other residents noticed their unconscious companion. She waved a hand to tell the 'shifter to hurry as sounds started come from one of the other apartments -- the voice of a very cranky older woman from number 32.

Shiloh followed Peridot into the apartment building while still holding Clove in his arms. It would have been nice to have and elevator, but he could handle a few flights of stairs. He shifted Clove in his arms a bit so he could carry her a little more easier before he followed the young witch up the stairs to her floor. He stayed quiet as he was told and carefully and slowly made his way down to her door. As soon as the door was opened he made his way inside and glanced around the apartment. Unsure of where to set down the other shapeshifter, he looked back to Peridot. "Where should I put her?"

Peridot closed the door behind him firmly and began sliding and clicking all of her locks into place. "Hm?" she asked distractedly as she peeked through the peephole, "uh.. Just dump her on the couch." The witch remained paranoid for three solid heartbeats before whirling on her heel and marching to her kitchen. The apartment wasn't a pigsty but it wasn't sterile either. Every surface was littered with books and ingredients for various concoctions and rituals. As the small female was searching the surprisingly clean cabinets, a black cat jumped up onto Clove and curled up on her stomach. The feline glanced at Shiloh with mismatched eyes; the right being forest green and the left a molten gold. Peridot came back from the kitchen with two glasses of water -- one of which she handed to Shiloh. "Drink up. Who knows how many toxins are in your body from that smoke." She set the other glass on the coffee table and perched herself on the arm of a chair, tapping her knees anxiously as she waited for Clove to wake.

Shiloh nodded then went and gently placed Clove down on the couch. He took a look around after he did so. Her place was much more cluttered than his own, but it seemed like it was an organized mess. Everything had a place it was supposed to be in and if things were cleaned up you would never find anything again. He watched the black cat curiously as it hopped up onto the couch with Clove, he thought that it had very pretty eyes. His attention was pulled away from the cat when Peridot came back from the kitchen. "Thank you." he said as he took the glass of water from her. He put the glass to his lips and drank about half the water that was inside it before stopping. He lowered the glass and looked between the two night worlders. "So, I don't think I ever caught either of your names earlier." he said, trying to start up a conversation and maybe make Peridot a little less anxious.

The young witch seemed to perk up at that and flushed with embarrassment. "Oh! How rude of me." She smiled sheepishly, "Must be odd entering someone's home when you don't know the name of your host." Her chin was small but she held it high "I am Peridot Kennedy, witch. The unconscious girl on the couch is Clove, a shapeshifter like you, and she's probably the most stubborn person I've ever met." She loosely waved a hand in the direction of the couch when she introduced her soot-covered companion. "Oh, and that fluffy traitor is Maleficent." The cat purred noisily in response to her owner and rested her head on her paws, the mismatched eyes still closed sleepily.

Shiloh did think it was a little odd not knowing their names by now, especially of the Night Worlder that he had saved. He looked to each person individually as they were introduced, and couldn't help but think that Maleficent was a perfect name for a traitor cat. He then turned his gaze back onto the witch. "My name is Shiloh." he said to her, since he hadn't introduced himself to them either.
