VIOLETPAW She gave a heavy sigh as her sister lightly brushed her back comfortingly. "Maybe you're right," mumbled Violetpaw. Her anger with her father began to subside slowly. She was still unhappy that her warrior ceremony would be delayed, but at least there was comfort in knowing that her sister was in the same position. Besides, there was nothing to be done about it now given her father's stubbornness. All she could hope to do was to prove to him that she was ready. He was not the type to be convinced by words. He needed to come to his own conclusions independently.
She stood, shaking out her pelt, and scanned the training sands. Just as she was about to propose that they return to camp, Redsun stepped into the clearing. His dark tabby fur glinted with hints of crimson in the light. He looked the two apprentices over, as if assessing if he had interrupted something, before stating: "Great, I was hoping I would find you two here. How about we do some fighting drills?"
He walked up to them, fur still slightly messy from sleep. It was clear that he had followed them after witnessing the argument, but Violetpaw knew he would not bring it up. Redsun usually minded his own business. He looked at his apprentice.
"Deerpaw, why don't you show your sister what we've been working on?"

GHOSTPAW --
Ghostpaw’s strangely colored eyes were watching his clanmates with the same intensity that they always did; the little white tom was rather odd, considering that he rarely spoke and was more of a watcher on the edges of the clan. Still, he was deeply devoted to WaspClan, and was proud to be training to be a warrior. He would do anything to protect his clanmates, even if it meant he’d have to give up his life for it. His life was inconsequential; his clan was everything.
As the silent sentry in the camp, Ghostpaw’s attention was drawn to Violetpaw. He felt a slight flutter in his chest when his dual-colored gaze settled on the she-cat. She was truly beautiful, fierce and independent with a fiery gaze full of life. He wasn’t going to tell her that, though; after all, why would he? It wasn’t like she thought anything similar about him. He wasn’t mate material, like his mother used to say. Too quiet; too awkward; too broody. And his eyes – they were just too strange. When he’d been born, his mother had been bewildered, because Ghostpaw had been stark white – and neither she nor her mate had such pelt colors. His tail seemed to be too long, and his ears too big, and when he’d finally opened his eyes his mother had been a bit frightened at his strange irises. To put it simply, Ghostpaw was just a bizarre freak of genetics, and it had unsettled his parents to the point that they’d been a bit less affectionate to him. Nothing totally obvious, but to a kit as observant and serious as Ghostpaw, it had been like a claw-slap to the face. So he’d done the only thing he knew to do - withdrew even deeper into himself.
Without warning, Violetpaw spun around and launched herself out of the camp, racing away at a near break-neck speed. Looking a bit confused, Deerpaw, Violetpaw’s sister, followed the other apprentice. Ghostpaw’s gaze trailed after them, and after a few moments he uncurled his lithe form and followed after. Violetpaw was a bit irrational, and he worried that she would get into trouble. Redsun followed the pair as well, but left before Ghostpaw did. He followed at a distance, on paws as silent as his namesake, until Violetpaw reached some clearing and skidded to a stop. She’d been prattling on about not receiving her warrior name as they’d traveled to her sister, and Ghostpaw had overheard them. Well, that explained her foul mood. Violetpaw was as eager as any other apprentice to become a warrior, but it seemed to be something more for her. Held more meaning, although Ghostpaw wasn’t sure what it was.
The sisters chatted for a bit, but clearly weren’t aware of his presence. Somehow he’d reached the pair before Redsun, but before he could let the she-cats know of his presence the warrior spoke. “Deerpaw, why don’t you show your sister what we’ve been working on?”
With a soundless sigh, Ghostpaw settled down in the brush, resting his head on his paws. Perhaps it was a bit strange, but he’d resigned himself to watch the training session – at least for the moment. Perhaps someone would notice his presence soon.

Shadestalker Edge of Shadow Forest // Open, but mentions Ghostpaw // 𝕾𝖙𝖔𝖗𝖒𝖗𝖆𝖌𝖊 Shadestalker had caught a few pieces of prey, but not much. He had worked his way to the edge of Shadow Forest, and had heard some very loud complaining. He recognized the voice and thought, Marblewasp is lucky. They are in the same clan as their children. He spotted a white shape, recognizing it completely. He didn't quite want to be spotted. He decided to move through the supposedly-haunted forest, silent. Then, near Ghostpaw, he accidentally rustled the leaves. He felt a bit bad, fearing it would scare the strange young tom, and yet he remained blending into the shadows.

Deerpaw // the Training Sands // with Redsun and Violetpaw
A purr rumbled deep in Deerpaw's throat as her sister was successfully calmed down, no longer bursting with anger as she had been. After all, Deerpaw's level-headed reason was often enough to quell Violetpaw's fiery emotions. Hopefully Violetpaw wouldn't clash with their father again, but Deerpaw figured that might be asking for a bit too much.
Redsun's sudden appearance made Deerpaw jump slightly, and she whipped around to face her mentor. "Fighting drills?" she echoed half-heartedly, her tail drooping. Fighting had never been her strong suit, and against her sister, Deerpaw was fairly certain she would be beaten to a pulp. But then Redsun directly addressed Deerpaw, and she gulped. "S-sure," she murmured, taking a few steps back and trying to settle into her offensive stance. She took a moment to ensure her crouch was deep enough, then gathered all her weight in her haunches and sprung as high into the air as she could. Imagining another warrior was directly beneath her, Deerpaw attempted to turn midair as if she were landing on her attacker's back. But as she shifted to turn, her long tail tangled underneath her paws and she failed to land on all four paws, instead smashing to the ground on her side and tumbling across the sand. The impact sucked the air out of her lungs, and Deerpaw doubled over coughing as she stood up. Great job, you just embarrassed yourself in front of your sister and your mentor. Why couldn't she get that move right?
As she lifted her head after the bout of coughing, Deerpaw thought she saw a glimpse of something white in the bushes. She narrowed her eyes, and realized there was someone staring back at her. Is that... Ghostpaw? What's he doing here?
