shared territories Neutral territories that the clans share can be found below with their descriptions included.
{ ✤ } Fourtrees - A hollow with four tall oak trees, and a boulder in which to speak from at the center; every full moon, the Clans host their gatherings here.
{ ✤ } Highstones - An abandoned mine in the northwestern part of the the territory. Although the stones above it are visible from a distance, the journey to them is a long and arduous one. Some say that the sloped tunnel leading into Mothermouth is even worse, however.
{ ✤ } Mothermouth - A vast cave within the Highstones where the moonstone is found. The tunnel leading to it is dark and forked, and many shiver at the thought of losing their way and becoming trapped beneath the ground forever. An opening in the ceiling of the cave provides the only light you'll see after entering the tunnel.
{ ✤ } The Moonstone - A large quartz crystal that seems to glow with starlight as it streams through an opening in the ceiling. Medicine cats and leaders alike visit this place to share tongues with their ancestors. shared traditions Traditions shared between the five clans.
{ ✤ } Seasonal Feasts - When the season changes with the cycle of the moon, the Clans holds a feast to celebrate it, and hope that StarClan will bless them with an easy season. The senior warriors and deputies are responsible for hosting games and other small events for the younger generations. Elders hold a large story-telling circle at dawn and dusk. The leaders then recap the events of the past season, and officiates the feast. Cats are expected to fast the day before the feast.
{ ✤ } Claw-Moon Tournament - Often held when times are tough, this welcomed distraction is a minor competition that takes place on claw-moon nights, usually during newleaf or greenleaf. To keep everyone interested, the rules are established a day prior to the tournament, and the events held can range from climbing, to hunting, or even to a scavenger hunt, or a spar. Should a spar take place, any cat who is caught fighting with unsheathed claws will be disqualified from the tournament. At the end of the day, a prize will be gifted to the winners of each event.
{ ✤ } Shadowing - A recently established tradition in which new warriors are assigned a mentor and apprentice to shadow. They are to learn the best methods of training that their shadow mentor has to offer, so that they will have experience to draw from when they are finally appointed an apprentice of their own. This is also a way to determine who would thrive as a mentor, and who lacks the patience. The warriors are expected to mentor the apprentices they were assigned to, with the supervision of their actual mentor. Even if a warrior has shadowed in the past, they must still mentor their own apprentice before becoming deputy.
{ ✤ } Journey to Highstones - Before they become a warrior, apprentices will journey to Highstones. They will receive a dream from StarClan about their destiny. They may not speak of the dream to others. They may not speak of the dream to others. Under special circumstances, a newly made warrior will make the journey to Highstones if they were unable to during their apprenticeship.
{ ✤ } The Last Patrol - Once a warrior decides that it's time to retire, they are given the opportunity to approach their leader, and select one last patrol that they will lead. They will pick a couple of warriors and apprentices that they would like to come with them, and lead them through their territory. They will pause to share information and tips with their patrol, passing down the knowledge they have gained over years of helping their Clan. Once the patrol is over, the warrior will get first pick of the fresh-kill pile, and spend the night entertaining the Clan with stories of their youth, before finally retiring and becoming an elder.
{ ✤ } The Senior Council - Whenever the leader has to make a very important decision, usually one that involves Clan politics or out of Clan threats, they will call upon a council of the deputy, the elders, and the senior warriors. This council aims to help the leader come to the best decision possible.

clan systems { ✤ } Mentors & Apprentices There will be special requirements for mentors and apprentices. In some cases, like if we have an abundance of apprentices, this may warped to fit the situation. Before making an apprentice or requesting an apprentice, we all kindly ask that you read this important information. Warriors under eighteen moons may not receive an apprentice.* They have not fully developed and matured, despite their training. *However, if need be, a warrior between thirteen to eighteen moons may be given an apprentice in a special case. This is only in special cases and must be approved by the clan owner(s).
Warrior apprentices that are below nine moons must complete two battle training sessions and two hunting training sessions. In addition to their training, they will need to have two assessments, participate in a battle, and visit the Moonstone. Senior warrior apprentices that are nine moons or above must complete one battle training session and one hunting training session. They must complete their final assessment and participate in a battle. It will be assumed that they have traveled to the Moonstone unless the owner of the apprentice states otherwise and is under twelve moons. Medicine cat apprentices must complete two sessions of battle training, two sessions of hunting training, one session of medical training, and one session of spiritual training. Relations between mentor and apprentice will be monitored and may have in role-play consequences. Neglecting training sessions may result in the reassignment of an apprentice no matter the person at fault. Failure to complete your apprenticeship requirements will result in your apprentice training for a longer time.
{ ✤ } Deputies Deputies must have mentored at least one apprentice before being appointed by the Clan leader. They are responsible for many tasks. They are to assist their leader and are a sort of "apprentice leader." They organize patrols and listen to reports, reporting to their leader if the matter is urgent. They are to substitute for the leader and in battles if the leader is not available. For the role-play, we will look at warriors thirty-six moons and older when appointing a deputy. We will only give the role to an active and contributing member.
{ ✤ } Expecting Queens You must ask the clan owner or higher staff if you may make a queen. Unless there is special permission granted by the clan owner, the queen must have a mate or father for the kits. You may ask a member, but may not pester, if they can father the queen's kits. You must role-play one moon between the two before the queen may birth. Permanent queens without a mate or kits are allowed, but they must have had a litter prior to becoming a permanent queen. Orphan kits are not allowed unless there is special permission from the clan owner.
■ A queen may only have up to three (3) litters. ■ The amount of kits is decided by a Stress Level chart which includes tiers; the environment around the queen will affect the probability of the amount of kits she will produce. ■ Parents of the kits get first "dibs" on claiming a kit; afterwards, they may offer them to other role-players. ■ Kit names must make sense and cannot be outlandish.

chance charts In this role-play, we will be using a system called "chance charts." The concept is simple, we have arranged charts to display the chances of something happening to a character in different situations. Everyone will have a character impacted by these charts in some way, and there will be no exceptions in normal circumstances. The only exceptions would be a character needing to be kept alive for a plot or something similar. Nevertheless, it will be a rare occurrence. We will be using a virtual dice roll and a virtual coin flip. Clan Owners will screenshot the results and hold then for two days, then are free to delete them. Time and date must be shown on these screenshots. Below are the charts, please take some time to read them.
{ ✤ } Illnesses - Below are the chances for a character to get sick from an outbreak or a seasonal outbreak. For an abnormal outbreak, all cats will be considered and a coin will be flipped for each individual to determine if they catch it or not. For a seasonal outbreak, only half of the Clan will go through this process. From that point, a dice is rolled to determine the severity of illness for each individual. There are six stages. Kit and elders will have two dice rolled as they have double the chance to catch it. The dice and coin will be flipped twice for them. Once the decision is made, it will be role-played out.
{ ✤ } The first stage is a cough and slight symptoms. They can be easily cured before the next Gathering. { ✤ } The second stage is mild symptoms where they may take longer than two weeks real time to recover. They also become slightly contagious and are restricted from hunting patrols to prevent the illness spreading via prey. { ✤ } The third stage with full blown whitecough symptoms. Cats are restricted to camp, but may help with small tasks like rebuilding the camp walls. { ✤ } The fourth stage where the cat begins to show signs of greencough. They are restricted from assisting with tasks near the nursery and elders den. { ✤ } The fifth stage where greencough is confirmed. They are confined to the medicine cat's den and must rest. Symptoms are mild to severe. { ✤ } The sixth and final stage where the cat dies from greencough.
{ ✤ } Battles - Battles can be bloody and take many lives, however they can also be quick, simple, and result to little or no injuries. While any cat can die at any time during a battle, we have decided to make it less likely for death for small battles. Therefore, battles over borders or small strips of territory like Sunningrocks will only go to stage four unless there is a consistent conflict between the two Clans like war. However, battles near the gorge or thunderpath will have a special coin flip to determine if they will meet the terms of a small battle or large battle due to the danger of the location. To prevent a Clan losing more warriors than necessary, the death toll for a Clan will be five in big battles in three in small battles. A small battle patrol must consist of seven cats while a big patrol must consist of eleven.
{ ✤ } The first stage where the cat only suffers minor scratches. If anything, fur will be ripped out. Ears may be torn as well. { ✤ } The second stage where the cat only suffers a few minor gashes and blood is visible. They do require some medical treatment. { ✤ } The third stage where the cat suffers from larger and worse gashes. They are not at risk of death, but infection can easily set in if not treated quickly. { ✤ } The fourth stage where the cat suffers complete bodily injuries and needs assistance for traveling back to camp. They may risk death by blood loss if they prolong treatment. { ✤ } The fifth stage in which the cat may suffer from a major injury like blinding, broken bones, and other major injuries in addition to major gashes in which blood loss is an issue. They must be immediately sent back to camp or face death. { ✤ } The sixth stage in which the wounds are far too much and the cat dies. They do not have to suffer a broken bone or a wound similar, but they have either not made it in time for treatment, lost too much blood, or suffered a severe blow on the scene of the battle.
queens: probability table Stress levels as a whole are determined by a number of factors. For example, low stress really only applies to healthy young (20-30 moons) mothers who give birth in newleaf. As things change a cats moves up the tier list; usually only one spot for each factor unless illness or traumatic injury is involved. Age increase one tier level every ten moons. So zero for 30 moons or younger, +1 for 40 moons or younger, and +2 for anyone 50 moons or younger and so on. You cannot go over Tier Five.
Tier One - Stress Level = Low or None { ✤ } Zero to One kits: 5% chance { ✤ } Two to Three kits: 40% chance { ✤ } Four to Five kits: 50% chance { ✤ } Six kits: 15% chance
Tier Two - Stress Level = Mild { ✤ } Zero to One kits: 15% chance { ✤ } Two to Three kits: 40% chance { ✤ } Four to Five kits: 40% chance { ✤ } Six kits: 5% chance
Tier Three - Stress Level = Moderate { ✤ } Zero to One kits: 25% chance { ✤ } Two to Three kits: 50% chance { ✤ } Four to Five kits: 25% chance { ✤ } Six kits: no chances
Tier Four - Stress Level = High { ✤ } Zero to One kits: 25% chance { ✤ } Two to Three kits: 50% chance { ✤ } Four to Five kits: 25% chance { ✤ } Six kits: no chances
Tier Five - Stress Level = Extreme { ✤ } Zero to One kits: 90% chance { ✤ } Two to Three kits: 10% chance { ✤ } Four to Five kits: no chances { ✤ } Six kits: no chances

ceremonies: part one The ceremonies have been written out and coded so the Clan Owners and leaders do not have to look up the words each time. It is recommended that leaders and Clan Owners use these, but it will not be required.
{ ✤ } Apprentice Ceremony - An apprentice ceremony is performed when a kit is ready to take on apprentice training, usually at the age of six moons old. When a kit turns six moons old, they are ready to become an apprentice. Until this time, their name ends with the "-kit" suffix. When a kit becomes an apprentice, their name is changed so that the suffix of their name becomes "-paw", showing the path their paws are on.
➥ The Clan leader calls a Clan meeting to appoint a new apprentice and assign a mentor to them. The following words are used, by tradition: ➤ Leader: (Kit), you have reached the age of six moons, and it is time for you to be apprenticed. From this day on, until you receive your warrior name, you will be known as (new name, ending with "paw"). Your mentor will be (name of warrior or medicine cat). I hope (name of warrior or medicine cat) will pass down all he/she knows on to you. ➥ The leader calls up the warrior he/she has chosen as a mentor. ➤ Leader: (Warrior), you are ready to take on an apprentice. You had received excellent training from (former mentor), and you have shown yourself to be (quality) and (quality). You will be the mentor of (apprentice), and I expect you to pass on all you know to (apprentice). ➥ The mentor touches noses with the apprentice, and the Clan greets the new apprentice by calling out their name.
{ ✤ } Medicine Cat Apprentice Ceremony - It follows a similar procedure as a warrior apprentice's ceremony. However, the medicine cat is included and the ceremony is not complete without the trip to the Moonstone for StarClan's acceptance. In between the time of the ceremony held before the Clan and before StarClan, the apprentice does still train. ➥ The leader calls a Clan meeting, after the Clan's medicine cat announces that they wish to mentor an apprentice. The following words are used, by tradition: ➤ Medicine Cat: Cats of (Clan), as you know, I will not be around forever. So it's time I took an apprentice. I have chosen a cat who has shown (virtues). Your next medicine cat will be (apprentice). ➤ Leader: (Apprentice), do you accept the post of apprentice to (medicine cat)? ➤ Apprentice: I do. ➤ Medicine Cat: Then at the half-moon, you must travel to the Moonstone to be accepted by StarClan before the other medicine cats. ➤ Leader: The good wishes of all (Clan) will go with you. ➥ The mentor touches noses with the apprentice, and the Clan greets the new apprentice. ◎ At the next half moon, the medicine cat goes with the apprentice to the Clans' sacred place to present them to the warrior ancestors, where the apprentice confirms their wish to be a medicine cat. The following words are used, by tradition: ➤ Medicine Cat: (Apprentice), is it your wish to enter the mysteries of StarClan as a medicine cat? ➤ Apprentice: It is. ➤ Medicine Cat: Then come forward. ➤ Medicine Cat: Warriors of StarClan, I present you with this apprentice. (He/she/they) has chosen the path of a medicine cat. Grant (him/her) your wisdom and insight so that (he/she/they) may understand your ways and heal (his/her) Clan in accordance with your will. ➥ The medicine cat apprentice touches his/her nose to the Moonstone, Then the medicine cat and the apprentice lay down and have a dream from StarClan. ceremonies: part two
{ ✤ } Warrior Ceremony - A warrior ceremony is a ceremony in which an apprentice finally gets their warrior name and becomes a full fledged warrior of their Clan. An apprenticeship usually lasts six moons or more. Once the mentor is satisfied with the apprentice's progress and skills, they recommend them to the leader of the Clan. Then, the apprentice must pass an assessment, when their abilities as a warrior are checked. In cases when the apprentice has just made an important contribution to the Clan, the leader may decide that there is no need for an assessment. Before an apprentice becomes a warrior, they must visit the Moonstone to receive a dream of their destiny.
➥ If the Clan Leader is satisfied, they call a Clan Meeting and call the apprentice. The following words are used, by tradition: ➤ Leader: I, (Leader), leader of (Clan), call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on this apprentice. (He/she/they) has trained hard to understand the ways of your noble code, and I commend (him/her) to you as a warrior in (his/her/their) turn. ➤ Leader: (Apprentice), do you promise to uphold the warrior code and to protect and defend your Clan, even at the cost of your life? ➤ Apprentice: I do. ➤ Leader: Then by the powers of StarClan, I give you your warrior name. (Apprentice), from this moment you will be known as (new warrior name). StarClan honors your (virtues), and we welcome you as a full warrior of (Clan). ➥ The leader rests their muzzle on the apprentice's head, and the apprentice licks the leader's shoulder. The rest of the Clan then greets the new warrior by calling them by their new name. The warrior will sit a silent vigil guarding the camp that night, except if that is not possible.
{ ✤ } Dying Warrior Ceremony - When an apprentice is on the verge of death and has proven themselves to be worthy of a warrior name, there is a special ceremony used so that the apprentice may take a warrior name to StarClan.
➤ Leader: I ask my warrior ancestors to look down on this apprentice. (He/She/They) has learned the warrior code and given up (his/her/their) life in the service of (his/her) Clan. Let StarClan receive (him/her/their) as a warrior. (He/She/They) will be known as (new name).
{ ✤ } Medicine Cat Ceremony - A medicine cat ceremony is a ceremony in which a medicine cat apprentice finally gets their well earned medicine cat name, because their mentor approves of their work. Apprenticeship for medicine cats usually lasts much longer than those for warriors. The cat must learn about all available herbs and remedies, and the treatment of diseases and injuries.
➥ Once the Clan's medicine cat is satisfied with the apprentice's knowledge, they go to the Clans' sacred place. This is the only ceremony that is not performed by the Leader. The following words are used, by tradition: ➤ Medicine Cat: I, (name), medicine cat of ___Clan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on this apprentice. (He/she/they) has trained hard to understand the ways of a medicine cat, and with your help (he/she/they) will serve (his/her/their) Clan for many moons. ➤ Medicine Cat: ___paw, do you promise to uphold the ways of a medicine cat, to stand apart from rivalry between Clan and Clan and to protect all cats equally, even at the cost of your life? ➤ Apprentice: I do. ➤ Medicine Cat: Then by the powers of StarClan I give you your true name as a medicine cat. ___paw, from this moment you will be known as (new name). StarClan honors your (virtues), and we welcome you as a full medicine cat of (Clan). ➥ The medicine cat rests their muzzle on the apprentice's head, and they lick the mentor's shoulder. The other medicine cats greet them by their new name.

ceremonies: part three The ceremonies have been written out and coded so the Clan Owners and leaders do not have to look up the words each time. It is recommended that leaders and Clan Owners use these, but it will not be required.
{ ✤ } Deputy Ceremony - A deputy ceremony is when a Clan leader names the Clan's new deputy. This happens when the previous deputy dies, retires, is exiled, or is promoted to leader. According to the warrior code, a new deputy must be appointed before moonhigh that day. There are exceptions, however. Occasionally, a Clan leader does not announce the new deputy before moonhigh. This can be because: they are physically or emotionally unwell, or they are unsure whether the previous deputy is alive. If the ceremony is not performed in time, it is sometimes seen as a bad omen. If the deputy dies in battle, the Clan Leader might choose to appoint the new deputy whilst still fighting, instead of waiting to return to the camp.
➤ Leader: I say these words before StarClan, so that the spirits of our warrior ancestors (or former deputy name) may hear and approve of my choice. The new deputy of (Clan) is (warrior's name).
{ ✤ } Leader Ceremony - A leadership ceremony is the ceremony in which, when the leader dies or retires, the deputy receives their nine lives and their leader name with the suffix -star.
➥ The new leader goes to the Moonstone with the Clan's medicine cat. After touching the stone, the new leader cannot move for a short period of time, because their old life is being ripped away so they can receive nine new ones. Upon awakening, cats of StarClan come down from Silverpelt. Nine cats, normally ones who were significant during the new leader's life, although this is not always the case,[ give them their nine lives with these words: ➤ Life-Giver: (Touches nose to the top of the new leader's head) With this life I give you (gift). Use it well (to, in, as, for, etc.) (use of gift). ➥ When all of the lives have been given, normally the previous leader says these words: ➤ Previous Leader: I hail you by your new name, _____star. Your old life is no more. You have now received the nine lives of a leader, and StarClan grants you the guardianship of ____Clan. Defend it well; care for young and old; honor your ancestors and the traditions of the warrior code; live each life with pride and dignity.
{ ✤ } Name Changing Ceremony - A name changing ceremony is a ceremony that takes place when a Clan Leader decides to give a Clan cat a new name. This is usually done when the cat's old name does not suit them anymore, or because of an injury.
➥ The leader calls a Clan Meeting, and performs the change with the following words: ➤ Leader: "Spirits of StarClan, you know every cat by name. I ask you now to take away the name from the cat you see before you, for it no longer stands for what he/she/they is. By my authority as Clan leader, and with the approval of our warrior ancestors, I give this cat a new name. From this moment on he/she/they will be known as (new name), for (description of the reason)."
{ ✤ } Elder Ceremony - An aging warrior, queen, or medicine cat may retire as an elder due to own initiative, when they feel they cannot help the Clan efficiently any more. A cat may also retire if they are hindered from serving their Clan through old age, illness, or injury. They report this to the Clan leader, who calls a Clan meeting and addresses the warrior.
➤ Leader: (Warrior), is it your wish to give up the name of a warrior and go to join the elders? ➤ Warrior: It is. ➤ Leader: Your Clan honors you and all the service you have given to us. I call upon StarClan to give you many moons of rest. ➥ The Clan will call out the retired warrior's name and then they will go to the elder's den. An elder may receive a completely different name, with a different ceremony, than keeping their warrior name. Usually, an elder ceremony is held only when a cat retires due to old age. If they are forced to retire because of a severe injury, there is no ceremony. warrior & medicine cat codes
{ ✤ } Warrior Code 1. Defend your Clan, even with your life. You may have friendships with cats from the other Clans, but your loyalty must remain to your Clan, as one day you may meet them in battle. 2. Do not hunt or trespass on another Clan’s territory. 3. Elders and kits must be fed before apprentices and warriors. Unless they have permission, apprentices may not eat until they have hunted to feed the elders. 4. Prey is killed only to be eaten. Give thanks to StarClan for its life. 5. A kit must be at least six moons old to become an apprentice. 6. Newly appointed warriors will keep a silent vigil for one night after receiving their warrior name. 7. A cat cannot be made deputy without having mentored at least one apprentice. 8. The deputy will become Clan leader when the leader dies or retires. 9. After the death or retirement of the deputy, the new deputy must be chosen before moonhigh. 10. A gathering of all four Clans is held at the full moon during a truce that lasts for the night. There shall be no fighting among Clans at this time. 11. Boundaries must be checked and marked daily. Challenge all trespassing cats. 12. No warrior may neglect a kit in pain or in danger, even if that kit is from a different Clan. 13. The word of the Clan leader is the warrior code. 14. An honorable warrior does not need to kill other cats to win his battles, unless they are outside the warrior code or it is necessary for self-defense. 15. A warrior rejects the soft life of a kittypet.
{ ✤ } Medicine Cat Code 1. A medicine cat may not fall in love or take a mate. 2. A medicine cat may not have kits. 3. A medicine cat may only retire when their apprentice is ready to take their place. 4. A medicine cat shares dreams with only StarClan. 5. A medicine cat may only discuss dreams, prophecies, etc. with their leader or other medicine cats at the monthly meeting; dreams of an otherwise prophetic nature should not be disclosed to any outside parties, or any other cats in the Clan.

battle moves { ✤ } Back Kick - Explosive surprise move to catch opponent from behind. Judge opponent's distance from you carefully, then lash out with your back legs, taking all weight on your front paws. { ✤ } Belly Rake - A fight-stopper. Slice with unsheathed claws against the soft flesh of the opponent's belly. If you're pinned down, the belly rake quickly puts you back into control. { ✤ } Front Paw Blow - Frontal attack. Bring your front paw down hard on your opponent's head. Claws sheathed. { ✤ } Front Paw Strike - Frontal attack. Slice downward with your front paw at the face or body of your opponent. { ✤ } Killing Bite - A death blow to the back of the neck. Quick and silent and sometimes considered dishonorable. Used only as a last resort. { ✤ } Leap-and-hold - Ideal for a small cat facing a larger opponent. Spring onto opponent's back and grip with unsheathed claws. Now you are beyond the range of the opponent's paws and in position to inflict severe body wounds. A group of apprentices can defeat a large and dangerous warrior in this way. Watch for the drop-and-roll counter move, and try to jump free before you get squashed. { ✤ } Partner Fighting - Warriors who have trained and fought together will often fall instinctively into a defensive position, each protecting each other's back while fending off an opponent on either side. Slashing, clawing, and leaping together, battle pairs can be a whirlwind of danger for attackers. { ✤ } Play Dead - Effective in a tight situation, such as when you are pinned. Stop struggling and go limp. When your opponent relaxes their grip, thinking you are defeated, push yourself up explosively. This will throw off an unwary opponent and put you in attacking position. { ✤ } Scruff Shake - Secure a strong teeth grip in the scruff of your opponents neck; then shake violently until he or she is too rattled to fight back. Most effective against rats, who are small enough to throw. A strong throw will stun or kill them. { ✤ } Tail Yank - Grab your opponent's tail and yank it with such force your opponent is thrown off balance. { ✤ } Teeth Grip - Target your opponent's extremities- the legs, tail, scruff or ears- and sink in your teeth and hold. This move is similar to the leap-and-hold except your claws remain free to fight. { ✤ } Upright Lock - Final, crushing move on already weakened opponent. Rear up on back legs and bring weight down on opponent. If opponent does the same, wrestle and flip him under you. This makes you vulnerable to the belly rake, so it takes great strength and speed. { ✤ } Half-Turn Belly Rake - Turn onto your side, slip under the opponent's belly, rake it with your claws, then swiftly turn back onto all fours out from under your opponent. { ✤ } Badger Defense - Leap over your opponent, turn on your back legs and bite opponent's leg. Used only when fighting badgers. { ✤ } Duck and Twist - Simple defensive move. The cat ducks then twists around, rolling over onto their back, and then springs to their paws. { ✤ } Jump and Pin - Complicated move. Leap backwards, and bounce off the wall. With precise accuracy, land on the cat.
unique techniques RiverClan - { ✤ } Double-Front-Paw Slap-Down - Splash water into the enemy's face with your front paws, temporarily blinding them. { ✤ } Underwater Leg Sweep - Crouch under water, holding your breath. Then, sweep the legs from under your enemy as their head is raised above water-level; they struggle for breath, as other Clan cats naturally panic underwater. { ✤ } Push-Down and Release - Wrestle your enemy under water. Keep their head below water-level until they surrender, as other Clan cats don't know to hold their breath underwater. { ✤ } Underwater Clinch - Use your enemy's weight to hold them underwater. With a firm grip, raise them to the air so they can breathe, then send them under again. Do this repeatedly until the enemy gives up. { ✤ } Tail Splash - Similar to the Double Front-Paw Slap-Down, splash the water into your opponent's eyes with your tail, temporarily blinding them. { ✤ } Underwater Push-Off - Holding your breath, crouch below the water's surface. Aim an accurate pounce to the warrior on the water's edge, knocking them off-balance; the element of surprise should win you this battle. { ✤ } Rushpaw Splash - Flick a splash of water at a distance to create a decoy for the enemy, leaving room for a surprise attack.
ShadowClan - While ShadowClan does not have any unique battle moves known, they have what is called a night ambush. Below are the steps to use this tactic correctly. { ✤ } - Hide in the shadows of the night with your patrol and your enemy spotted. { ✤ } - Make sure your scent isn't drifting toward the attackers. { ✤ } - Wait for the leader of the patrol to give the attack signal. { ✤ } - Strike your enemy fast and hard; the enemy will be caught off-guard with a battle at night. { ✤ } - Cut off all your enemy's escape routes, encircling them with your patrol. { ✤ } - If they try to attack, battle again. If they do not, let them through with a warning.
SkyClan - SkyClan uses aboveground combat as they are skillful in the trees. Balance is key to their combat. Below are the battle moves that they use from the tree tops to surprise their opponents. { ✤ } The Sky-Crusher - Balance on a thin branch; make no sound. You should land squarely on the enemy, claws unsheathed. { ✤ } The Flick Over - Balance on a thin branch; make no sound. Land with all four paws outstretched on your enemy. Then, knock the opponent's feet from under them. Finally, flip the enemy over to their belly; pin them to the ground until they surrender. { ✤ } The Kick - Balance on a thin branch; make no sound. Kick the enemy as you near the ground. Use the momentum of the fall to spring backward before the enemy has time to attack. { ✤ } The Slice - Balance on a thin branch; make no sound. Drop with claws unsheathed for maximum injury. { ✤ } The Branch Swing - Hold on to a branch with front claws as your back paws rake your enemy's face. { ✤ } The Reverse Branch Swing - Hold on to a branch with back claws as your front paws rake your enemy's face. { ✤ } The Trunk Swing - Balance on a thin branch; make no sound. Then, slide down the trunk of the tree. Finally, spring off the trunk with your back legs at head height to clear an enemy (it's best if the tree is surrounded). { ✤ } The Reverse Climb - Begin by pacing backward as the enemy advances. Then climb backward up the trunk to escape enemy; this is often followed by the Trunk Spring.
ThunderClan - Like ShadowClan, ThunderClan has special battle tactics instead of battle "moves." These two tactics are called lightning strike and forest attack. The Forest Attack - { ✤ } - Move quietly and communicate with signals. Cracking twigs, startled birds, and rustling bracken will tell the enemy exactly where you are. { ✤ } - Keep downwind of the trespassers so that your scent doesn't give you away. { ✤ } - Look for freshly broken twigs, overturned leaves on the forest floor, remains of prey, or a clump of fur caught on a bramble. Any animal that moves through the forest leaves behind signs that its passed by-and signs like this could lead you straight to the invaders. { ✤ } - Keep your mouth open to search for unfamiliar scents. Be careful: if there is scent when there is no breeze to carry it through the forest, it could mean that your enemy is very close by. { ✤ } - Light-colored pelts are easily seen against brown and green foliage, so stay in the thickest cover. Keep low- the enemy will be looking for movement at normal head height, not close to the ground. { ✤ } - Never miss an opportunity to perfect your tracking ability. In the nursery, kits sneak up on their mothers and pounce with their moss-soft paws. Apprentices leap out on one another from behind bushes and tree stumps. These are more than just games. One day, these skills could save your life and defend your Clan. The Lightning Strike - { ✤ } - Crouch behind the enemy with your patrol unseen. { ✤ } - Wait for the leader of the patrol to give the signal to attack. { ✤ } - Spring squarely on top of the enemy, aiming for the ears, as they will bleed easily; caught by surprise, they should be easy targets. { ✤ } - As fast as you attack, retreat back into the undergrowth. { ✤ } - As the enemy lets their guard down, attack from an opposite angle; do this over and over until the enemy, thinking they are outnumbered, retreats.
WindClan - { ✤ } Approach from Above Your Enemy - Gain high-ground. Wait for the leader of the patrol to give the to attack. Charge down your high ground; your enemy will be weakened by having to fight uphill. { ✤ } Use the Light from the Sun - Attack your enemy with the sun behind you, which should dazzle the enemy and block their view. { ✤ } Know Where the Wind is Coming From - If there is a strong wind, it should blow from behind you; that should hold them back and blur their vision with dust. However, if stalking, make sure the wind is blowing toward you, as it could give away your scent if blowing toward your enemy. { ✤ } Conceal the Size of Your Force - Have your attackers in sight from a distance. There are two options: either you can group your warriors together tightly, making you seem like a small attacking force. Your enemy may become overconfident, which is likely to lead to them making poor strategic decisions. Or, if your warriors spread out single-file, it will seem impossible to pass to advancing enemy warriors and may intimidate them. Attack the enemy. { ✤ } Attack Both Ends of the Enemy Line First - Attack both ends of your enemy's line, leaving the middle cats to fend on two fronts; this will leave them outflanked, vulnerable, and in disarray. Attack the rest of the enemies until they run. { ✤ } Keep Fresh Warriors in Reserve - Always keep strong, fit warriors to replace injured ones. { ✤ } Feigned Retreat and Ambush - A group of strong cats screech and attack the enemy line. The group of fit cats retreat; repeat this until the enemy line breaks. Other warriors, usually tunnelers, jump out of rabbit holes and dips in the ground on the other side of the attackers. Attack from both fronts until the enemy surrenders.
