- - Crowsong [ Blaze ♡] Crowsong idly watched as Mossynose put together a quick patrol and sent them off. There had been a lot of talking going on for a bit and she had thought it wise to keep out of it for now. Luckily, soon enough that patrol had been taken care of and Crowsong could focus on her sister again. “We should figure out a hunting patrol next,” Crowsong suggested, glancing off towards the large entrance of the den. She had seen that fresh kill pile earlier, it was small, and now that cats were up and about, they were probably eating as well. They’d want to restock the food before they were completely out and everyone got all hangry with each other. A hangry clan was a bad clan to have. “Maybe two hunting patrols,” Crowsong added, looking back towards her sister.

Ravenwhisper | ShadowClan Camp | 𝕊’𝕞𝕠𝕣𝕖Bluetuft was right, of course. They ought to wait and see whether they were needed. Even if it might be more fun to do their own thing, the Clan came first, always. Ravenwhisper nodded agreeably. She didn’t mind, really. Patrolling would be fun, too, and if they weren’t needed they could do what they liked. It was one of the things she liked about being a warrior, rather than an apprentice. “Alright.” She agreed, standing. “I haven’t been to see the elders in a while, to be honest. Not that I don’t appreciate them, just that I don’t think of visiting.” She tended to forget she could just...do that. Without having to rid them of ticks, which she secretly had never minded doing anyway. She was also glad to have something to do. Bluetuft was nice to have invited her. She appreciated it.

Mossynosewith Crowsong
& Dogclaw, Jaguarpaw, Mantispaw and Badgerpaw [ thunder patrol ] & Coalsmoke, Brightfire, Pinedapple, Darkfire, Hollowstripe, Cavegrowl [ hunting patrols ]
The brown molly's ear twitched as she heard a cry and rapid pawsteps. Mossynose couldn't help but cracked a smile at Mantispaw's ambition. Her green eyes flickered towards Dogclaw, "As long as Dogclaw is fine with it and he finds more warriors to go with you," Mossynose stated with a firm tone. "Don't go near the thunderpath, no matter how much you want to gawk at Thunderclan," she meowed, with a pointed look towards the apprentices. They had gatherings for a reason. '
She turned to face her sister and titled her head. "Hunting patrols are easier to make," she mused with a small laugh. The hunting groups didn't need to like each other since they didn't stay together often. She let out a soft hum of agreement, two hunting patrols would be good. With this heat, it was hard to tell if prey was going to be affected or not.
Her green eyes lingered on a few pairs talking and a pacing Darkfire. "Coalsmoke! Brightfire, Pinedapple! You three are on a hunting patrol," she called to the trio. Mossynose titled her head, "Hollowstripe and Cavegrowl can be on the other hunting patrol, take Darkfire with you before his pacing leaves marks in camp," she meowed, twitching her whiskers in amusement.
After she issued the patrols, she looked back towards Crowsong with a questioning gleam in her eyes. "Do you have any plans today?" she asked, gently bumping her shoulder against her sisters.

Goldengaze with Flinchpaw (Falconwing ) || Location: Camp
Goldengaze nodded, also nudging her on. "I believe it is, yes. Don't forget to use your nose as well, most of the time certain places in our territory have a specific scent. Being able to pinpoint this scent can be important." The molly was ready to follow after Flinchpaw, just a few steps behind at all times. It was good that the younger she-cat had corrected herself. It meant that she was putting in a good amount of effort to already learn some amount of confidence. Goldengaze was sure that with some more encouragement and maybe a few more moons, Flinchpaw would be much more confident in her abilities whether it be navigation, hunting, fighting or simply being herself.

Laurelpaw |x| Camp |x| Open

Laurelpaw was busy doing nothing.
Which, of course, was very important business.
The she-cat was currently cloud gazing, lying on her back behind the brambles of the warrior's den. There weren't very many interesting shapes today. Laurelpaw huffed. Probably that stupid heat wave's fault. It dried up the sky so badly there was nothing of note anymore.
Was that how clouds worked?
Well. It didn't really matter.
Besides, Laurelpaw was getting bored again. These clouds were rather disappointing. Sighing, she rose to her paws, rolling her eyes. Stupid clouds.
Carefully, the young she-cat made her way back between the brambles, trying not to scratch herself too badly. Her pelt already had a few superficial cuts from her entrance into the secret spot, but... well, even if people had questions, Laurelpaw knew she was a wonderful liar.
The apprentice emerged back into the camp's center, giving her new scratch a quick lick. She sat back down slowly, gaze roaming the clearing, looking for something new to do.

Flinchpaw Headed towards Crooked Brook with Goldengaze VoidastralNodding and taking a deep breath the small apprentice stepped forwards in the direction she believed to be right. At first she took it slow, occasionally moving off course but was quick to correct herself when she realized she had accidentally veered off the trail. Nose to the ground Flinchpaw slowly but surely led the pair away from camp and deeper into Shadowclan territory. It wasn't long and the scent of murky water and the Thunderpath mixed, a scent that meant they were getting close. Excited her tail rose high and she cast a surprised look back at her mentor. They were almost there! Turning back she increased their pace to a fast paced jog until the small muddy stream flowed before her. "This is it! I did it Goldengaze." She meowed in her tiny voice. "I led us all the way here from camp!" Her pale green eyes glowed with pride and she turned to face her mentor, tail curling happily. Cavegrowl Camp - Hunting patrol with Hollowstripe mintedstar/fur & Darkfire ♥𝔉𝔯𝔬𝔰𝔱ℜ𝔬𝔰𝔢♥ He was just about to say something in addition to Hollowstripe with Mossynose began assigning patrols. Closing his mouth the silver and grey tom directed his attention towards his deputy. Having been assigned to a hunting patrol Cavegrowl gave Mossynose a respectful nod, acknowledging and accepting the given duty. Turning he gave Hollowstripe a fun look, "Bet I can catch more than you", he challenged. Not giving him much time to answer Cavegrowl whipped around and turned his focus to Darkfire who was but a few tail lengths away. "You up for some friendly competition on this hunt", he called out to the senior warrior with a pep in his step. There was nothing Cavegrowl enjoyed more than a good competition, and you could already see his amber eyes glowing with excitement.

- - Bluetuft [ ®Hawkpath®] The solid gray tom let out a loud purr as Ravenwhisper agreed to go with him. He enjoyed visiting the elders regardless on if he went alone or with someone else, however he enjoyed the company of a fellow warrior or an apprentice just as much as he did an elder. Honestly Bluetuft just enjoyed the company of about any cat, except for the other clans. The other clans were bad.At least, that’s what he was told to believe by Turtlecloud and who was he to question his sister? “Great! They’ll love the visit, they always do,” Bluetuft explained as he started padding along towards the elders den.

(I be late. XD Busy time. Thanks for the tag!) Hollowstripe was opening his mouth when the deputy cut in. He waited patiently to be assigned and then shook his head in amusement at Cavegrowl. "Beebrain," he said with a purr. He glanced at Darkfire, raising his tail in greeting as he stood. This should be an interesting test of his abilities. He turned to the camp entrance, following after Cavegrowl but making no effort to overtake him. Instead, he just kept up a brisk walk. Cavegrowl would have to slow down soon, or he'd scare away the prey.

Pinedapple nodded as she went to the group with the hunters gathered in it. She hadn’t been on a hunting patrol in a long time since her warrior ceremony. “I’m here! Now, where are we going?” She asked curiously. The she cat sat down and awaited orders or directions.

Brightfire -- with Coalnose, then Coalsmoke and Pinedapple // shadowclan camp
Had Brightfire noticed how uncomfortable she'd just made the young tom, she might've backed off or even felt bad enough to apologize. Unfortunately, it just went over her head and she was confused about his reaction. The black molly smiles as she listens to his short response, looking at Coalnose expectantly, waiting for him to say more. When he finally does, Brightfire couldn't help but chuckle and lower to lay down on her belly, tucking her paws under her chest. "Well, even the impossible can happen." She said in response about her being up early. Brightfire was known for sleeping in late or having to be woken up for early patrols because she could never wake up on time, it was uncommon for her to be up before the sun was. "I kept waking up after having this weird dream over and over again that I eventually decided to stay awake. Also the heat doesn't help with having good night's sleep." She sighs and shakes her head before looking back to the tom, not entirely sure what to say next. "Have you eaten yet?" Brightfire finally asked after a moment.
Her ears flicker as she hears her name being called, looking back and recognizing that it was Mossynose's voice. Brightfire frowns and begins to stand, her attention back on Coalnose as she gives him a sheepish smile. "I guess that's me. I'll see you around, Coalnose, it was nice talking." She purred then turned tail and trotted over to where cats were beginning to gather. As she approached her father, she brushed her pelt against his in greeting then nodded to Pinedapple.
{dαιѕy, Thunderheart57}
Coalsmoke -- with Brightfire and Pinedapple // shadowclan campCoalsmoke was just about to approach Mossynose to ask if there was a patrol he could be put on when he was pleasantly surprised to hear hear his name being called, and was even more excited to be hunting with his daughter. It wasn't often that he got to patrol with either of his kits, but when he could he was always trying to encourage them to do their best. The smoky furred tom looked to the other patrol, about to inquire where they were heading to hunt, but the patrol was already leaving before he could confirm anything. He sighs and shrugs, hoping they wouldn't find themselves at the same place. He glances back to see Pinedapple approaching, nodding to the young warrior. "I was thinking we head towards the murky pond, see if we can find anything there." Coalsmoke told her, then let out a 'mrrow' of surprise when he felt someone brush up his side. He looked to see his daughter, Brightfire, at his side and he responded by briefly touching his nose to the top of her head. "Well, now that everyone's here let's head out." He dips his head in Mossynose's direction before heading towards the camp entrance.

Dogclaw appraised Mantispaw with mild interest. It wasn’t that he was opposed to letting the calico apprentice tag along, but he certainly wasn’t thrilled about it. She was high energy and overly reactive, if the way she showed up out of nowhere asking to join a patrol she knew nothing about was anything to go off of. She was the kind of cat that was hard to control. On top of that, she was yet another apprentice for him to keep an eye on. Jaguarpaw and Badgerpaw were different, they listened to him (sometimes dragging their paws in the process, but what do you expect?).
“Alright, fine,” he agreed, “But you have to listen to every word I say and you are not to leave my sight. Understand?” The Thunderpath was dangerous, the last thing he needed was for Mantispaw to be flattened by a monster or caught by a ThunderClan patrol.
Leaving the warrior’s den, Dogclaw called back over his shoulder, “I’ll take Embergaze with me.” The black-and-white tom flicked his tail, motioning for his entourage of apprentices to follow him. He found the black tom in question nosing through the fresh-kill pile with Ivythroat, apparently looking for some breakfast.
“Embergaze,” he called, “We’re heading out to patrol the ThunderClan border. You’re coming with us.” He glanced back at the three apprentices trailing him, wondering if two warriors would be enough to keep them all out of trouble.

Ravenwhisper | ShadowClan Camp | 𝕊’𝕞𝕠𝕣𝕖Ravenwhisper could tell he was genuinely glad she was coming, which was sweet. She appreciated that. It was really nice to have someone who wanted her around. She too enjoyed company, and she like Bluetuft so far. He was nice. The difference was that she didn’t mind the cats from other clans, either. She was completely loyal to ShadowClan of course, but it was nice to talk to the other cats too. They were interesting. “I should go see them more often.” She admitted, padding along beside him. She thought they probably appreciated visits more than they let on. After all, they were stuck in that den all day. That had to get pretty old. She never wanted to be an elder. Thought she wouldn’t admit it to anyone. She just liked being active. “Should we bring some prey along for the rest of them?” She asked uncertainly. Would that imply they couldn’t do it themselves? Or was if just a nice thing to do? She didn’t really know.

- - - Crowsong [ Blaze ♡] Crowsong watched as Mossynose put together a couple patrols together as if it was as easy as breathing. Well, this was probably why she was made deputy, Mossynose would make a great leader one day, if that ever happened, and when it did Crowsong was going to request that she be given a very special title that got her out of doing patrols for the rest of her life. Speaking of patrols... When Mossynose asked if Crowsong was doing anything today, Crowsong eyed her warily, moving slightly away from her sister. “You’re not gonna try to stick me on a patrol or something, are you?” She asked skeptically, flicking her tail. “Because you and I both know that I’m the worst cat to put on a patrol, I hate them, everyone else hates having me on them, it’s all just a bunch of ‘no one wants this, why are we forcing it?’” Crowsong told her, giving Mossynose a look. Crowsong despised patrols with a passion, she’d go on one if she had to, she just...didn’t want to.

- - - Bluetuft [ ®Hawkpath®] “This is gonna be great,” Bluetuft decided with a firm nod. “We have some really great elders, I like to listen to their stories,” the young tom continued. The elders always seemed to have something to talk about, and Bluetuft enjoyed listening. His mother was an elder by now too, though his father was determined to remain a warrior for as long as possible. Bluetuft was already planning on retiring to three elders den as soon as he was old enough. He liked being a warrior just fine, but it could get pretty dangerous at times and he would honestly prefer a bit more of the cozy elder lifestyle. “We can bring them some food, I’m pretty sure the fresh kill pile is almost empty though, so we should hurry,” Bluetuft added, glancing back over to Ravenwhisper. He hadn’t gotten anything to eat yet, but Bluetuft could wait a bit longer. Right now it were the elders that needed food more. Besides, maybe after they talked to the elders, Bluetuft and Ravenwhisper could go hunting.

Embergaze shadowclan camp | accompanied by Dogclaw, Jaguarpaw, Badgerpaw & Mantispaw Embergaze lifted his head as pawsteps approached and found himself locking eyes with Dogclaw. A posse of apprentices trailed eagerly behind him, all bright eyes and tails swishing. Oh. Wonderful. He noticed Mantispaw among them and was struck with an odd mixture of alarm and amusement. He hadn't realized he'd be playing chaperone to a bunch of rowdy 'paws.
"We’re heading out to patrol the ThunderClan border. You’re coming with us," said Dogclaw in a tone that wasn't up for debate.
"Am I?" Embergaze echoed, deadpan. He shrugged apologetically at Ivythroat. "I guess you'll be dining alone this morning. Duty calls." He nudged the mouse he'd picked out back into the pile and padded after Dogclaw, bringing up the rear of the party to watch the apprentices' backs. If any ThunderClan mongrels snuck up on them, they'd have to get through him first. With Dogclaw in front, they had effectively sandwiched the younger cats between them. So long as they stayed there, they should be fine. He hoped.

MANTISPAWin camp, with mossynose, dogclaw, emberggaze, badgerpaw, and jaguarpaw__________________________________
On this fine summer morning, Mantispaw was as bright-eyed and bushy-tailed as a squirrel hooked on Adderall. She was almost vibrating with excitement; with the urge to rocket through the territory and stretch her claustrophobic limbs. Her eyes bounced from Mossynose, seriously putting together the patrol, who looked at her with kind chiding eyes, with the kind of eyes that said, Dogclaw this is your problem now; to Dogclaw, who looked down at her with kind alarmed eyes that said, Good StarClan this is my problem now.
Her vision finally tracked over Jaguarpaw and Badgerpaw, her brothers and Dogclaw’s sons – they really looked nothing like him, which was weird, but Mantispaw wasn’t a geneticist and like, she doesn’t even know how babies work - to Embergaze, who meets her gaze like an older brother told it’s her turn to babysit. Mantispaw is thrown that gaze a lot. She is a senior apprentice and she’s good at what she does – really, she’s an adept hunter and knows the borders like she knows her own paws. Her child-like glee has not been robbed of her yet, though. She is still gemini-loud and bouncing from place to place like a male bird in mating season. She moves like a dance. She clings to happiness like the hands of dancers cling to each other. She is bubbling over.
“Thank you, Mossynose. Ma’am.” She nods hurriedly, respectfully, at the deputy before padding after Dogclaw with the other two apprentices. She turns towards them and, with hushed tones, adds a “hi!”, because she has already forgot if she greeted them or not.
The muted-calico is silent, now, following; adopted gleefully into Dogclaw’s child army, his youthful coterie. She wonders if they’ll see a monster.

Silverbirchwith Minksneeze The old tom shook his head, listening to scuffle in camp. His whiskers twitched in faint amusement. He couldn't see the fight between Crowsong and Turtlecloud, not that the medicine cat would admit that. He was much to proud to state that he was having more and more problems seeing everyday. Silverbirch grabbed his bundle and headed towards the medicine cat den where Minksneeze should be waiting for him.
He clipped his shoulder on the way into the medicine cat. He let out a soft hiss of pain and grunted some profanities under his breath before stalking forward to drop the herb in the den. Silverbirch's blue gaze swiveled towards his apprentice and he sniffed, "I see camp is still in one piece, good job," he meowed before swishing his tail. Even though he knew that Minksneeze didn't really need his praise any more.
"We need to gather some more burdock root," Silverbirch stated as he moved over towards their herb storage. He could see the herbs and Minksneeze well, he just got problems with objects far away. "You never know those imbeciles will get in a fight with a rat," he huffed with a roll of his eyes. Every once in awhile, a few young warriors thought catching rats was the way to feed the clan. It never ended well.

Badgerpawmantispaw, jaguarpaw, dogclaw & embergaze // shadowclan camp
When Mantispaw asked to join the patrol, Badgerpaw's only reaction was to stare in surprise like she was some sort of cartoonish villain that had appeared to destroy the city hall. What he'd been hoping for was a fun adventure with Jaguarpaw and Dogclaw, where he would probably fight off a whole ThunderClan patrol with one paw. Now the patrol had turned into a day of babysitting Mantispaw and making sure that she didn't get herself killed which, in the moment, Badgerpaw really couldn't care less about. He could just stand there, looking sour - this only worsened when Embergaze came with them.
He stood next to Jaguarpaw, having a mental battle with himself. One side of him said that Dogclaw was going to show them the tunnels and that this patrol would be amazing, and the other side said that Mantispaw and Embergaze would ruin it and that Mantispaw would probably get hit by a monster. That would either be amusing or horrifying. He looked over at Jaguarpaw, giving him a patented this-is-the-worst look.
Flamelightashensnow // shadowclan camp
Flamelight paused for a moment before answering Ashensnow. This was because he was preparing himself - having a conversation with him was an ordeal, a borderline Olympic event. He needed to do his mental stretches, go to his happy place for a moment, try to ready himself for any outcome that this conversation might have. Maybe Ashensnow would just go on his merry away and leave Flamelight in peace, but this was so unlikely that it was laughable. Ashensnow wasn't an ordeal that you could just slip out of.
He took a deep breath before responding. "Yes, Ashensnow," he sighed, his tone so dry that the desert would've been envious, "I'm challenging you to a duel. You've offended my honor to a point that can't be forgiven, and the only way to repent is in battle." Flamelight looked at him through tired, half-lidded eyes. While the tortoiseshell did doubt his self-awareness, he figured that he couldn't possibly be oblivious enough to take the challenge seriously.

Buzzardflutter » Buzzardflutter didn’t like the fighting that was so common in camp these days. It hurt her ears and made her stomach feel all flip-floppy, the same feeling she got when something hadn’t agreed with her after a meal and she ended up hacking it all back up. She didn’t want to voice those opinions out loud though if only because she didn’t want to disrespect Batstar. She really looked up to the leader and thought she was a great cat, plus she was really tall and had huge ears, so that just meant she had to be respected. Buzzardflutter didn’t know if big ears and being tall correlated to being a good leader or not, but Batstar was the only leader she personally knew and that was just what Batstar looked like, so it made sense to her. Maybe that’s what it took to be a ShadowClan leader, being tall and having big ears.
Though, the more she ruminated on that, the more she realized that Mossynose was deputy, which meant she was next to be leader. Now Mossynose was tall, at least compared to Buzzardflutter, but her ears weren’t exactly big. She had regular sized ears. Did that mean she would get bigger ears once she became Mossystar? Or would she not be able to become leader because she didn’t have big ears? That would be really upsetting. Buzzardflutter really wanted to see her big sister make it to leadership; she was sure Mossynose would make an incredible leader. But...if Mossynose became leader, that meant...that meant something would have to happen to Batstar. Oh, that wouldn’t be good. That wouldn’t be good at all. For Mossynose to be leader, Batstar had to...she had to…
Already she could feel her heart beating against her chest, hollow and loud. It thrummed throughout her tiny body like a panicky songbeat, causing her to tremble from ears to tail-tip. Her pale green eyes went wide as the fur along her spine bristled. All she could imagine was being outside with the leader, excited at first to feel the short, marshy grass between her toes, then that excitement turning into panic and confusion when something came at Batstar from the sky, causing the molly to fall limp to the ground, and no matter how many times Buzzardflutter called out for her, no matter how many times she poked and prodded the leader, she just wouldn’t respond. There would be no answer, and she would never get an answer. Eventually she would be found by a patrol where she would then be told Batstar had gone to StarClan. She’d come back to camp where cats would be told the news, and then everybody would sit vigil for her and grieve. Then Mossynose would have to go and become ShadowClan’s official leader, if StarClan let her even though her ears weren’t big.
With these dreadful thoughts mingling with the anxiety she had earlier about the fights, Buzzardflutter had no chance of snapping out of it by herself. There was nothing she could do as her body completely shut down on her and she toppled over onto the ground, now a limp sack of chocolate fur on the ground. A small part of her hoped that Crowsong would find her and take her out to train or something - she was fifteen moons old at this point, she should have been a warrior already.
… Wait.
She was a warrior now. Right, right, right, she was a warrior. A freshly made warrior, but she had her full Clan name now. That had happened. Batstar had given her a ceremony and everything. She had been happy, the whole Clan had been happy. No cat had fought during her ceremony. No cat had died, either. Buzzardflutter was excited to be a warrior, but right now she couldn’t feel excitement over her achievement. Right now all she could feel was the ever crushing anxiety about the fact that Crowsong probably wouldn’t go looking for her to take her out for training now. Would Crowsong come looking for her at all now? Buzzardflutter wanted to hope that she would, but hadn’t Crowsong been in the fight earlier? What if something had happened to her? What if she was injured and was now lying in the medicine cat den bleeding out and Buzzardflutter wasn’t there to help her? Would Mossynose be there? Probably. Unless she was doing patrols right now.
No, no, wait.
Hadn’t she noticed Mossynose and Crowsong talking with one another after the whole fight? Buzzardflutter wasn’t so sure anymore, and now her head was spinning with all these ‘what ifs’. Though, if she had noticed her two sisters talking together after the fight, then that meant Crowsong was okay and that meant Mossynose was still in camp. Did that also mean they would come and get Buzzardflutter and take her training together? She liked the idea of that, going outside with both her sisters so she could work on her skills so she’d be just as great a warrior as they were.
You already had this discussion, Buzzard, you’re already a warrior!
Right, right. Again she had to remind herself that she had just graduated from -paw to -flutter. She had to tell herself that she was a warrior already and that she wasn’t going to get anymore training with Crowsong or Mossynose. Batstar had deemed her a worthy enough cat of ShadowClan to be named a warrior, so why couldn’t she remember that? She remembered telling herself to remember her ceremony, but that just kept slipping from her mind, and it didn’t help right now that she was so full of bottled up anxiety right now that she couldn’t even think straight anyway - not like she could think straight in the first place. She also had to tell herself to not forget that Ravenkit’s - Ravenpaw now - apprentice ceremony had happened on the same day as her warrior ceremony. That one wasn’t as hard to remember since she didn’t have to sneak into the nursery to spend a night with Mossynose now. Even if Ravenpaw wasn’t Crowsong’s apprentice, there was a small tinge of fear that somehow Crowsong would forget about training Buzzardflutter and go out to train Ravenpaw instead. Would she be allowed to come along? She wanted to train with Ravenpaw. They could be training buddies. They could be… Right, right. Again, the third time she had forgotten she wasn’t an apprentice anymore.
Buzzardflutter let out a weak whimper as she lay there, her mind not even once taking a break to let her recuperate. She was completely overwhelmed, shaking like a leaf as she lay out in camp not too far from the apprentices’ den. The only thing she could do was bite her tongue to keep herself from loudly crying out as her mind just continued to overload herself with thought after thought and worry after worry.

hemlockgazeaccompanied by Ferretmask | heading out of camp Though Hemlockgaze didn't have much trust in anyone, let alone himself, something about Ferretmask didn't put up red flags. She seemed genuine and nice enough, so he wasn't too anxious as he had been before when speaking to the she-cat. Hopefully he could keep himself together and not scare her away with whatever mouse brained comment he'd come up with. He could do that, yeah, he just needed to relax and let go for once. Relax. Let go.
A quiet purr rumbled in the tom's throat as she tried to apologize once again. At least there was a bit of banter going here and it didn't feel awkward to him, unless it felt awkward to Ferretmask. He didn't want to think about that though... because if she did feel awkward, then his fantasies would be washed out with the tide faster than he could imagine. "Okay, okay, you have a point. I think we both may end up mute if we ban it anyways," he conceded, pausing to think. "How about... not using it as much? Would you still go mute then?"
Despite being so anxiety ridden, Hemlockgaze was quite impressed by Ferretmask's verbosity. She seemed to be more relaxed compared to before, and it was clear to him due to her mood. It was alleviating to have another cat to speak to, even if it wasn't anything important or special. It put him at ease, something that was hard to come by.
Padding besides her, the white furred tom let out a short laugh and fell silent once she began discussing the drought. "That sounds like a plan to me," he mewed. He then followed her out of camp, dipping his head beneath the entrance. He wasn't too sure if they'd be lucky with hunting, but at least they could claim they tried. Trying was better than nothing, right?
Hearing her mumble, Hemlockgaze turned and glanced at Ferretmask curiously. "Is it bad I think that's a good idea?" he asked abruptly. "I think we have better chances finding prey near the Highstones than in our own territory. Uh, so maybe... maybe we check it out?"

Ravenwhisper | ShadowClan Camp | 𝕊’𝕞𝕠𝕣𝕖Ravenwhisper nodded, a purr rising in her throat as she listened to him talk. He seemed like he really cared about things, which was nice. ShadowClan may have had a bit of a reputation for being difficult, and it wasn’t altogether underserved, but there were also cats like Bluetuft who were just...genuinely nice cats. Ravenwhisper thought that was a part of her Clan that went mostly unnoticed by the others. Oh well. Maybe it was better that way. She glanced over her shoulder at the fresh kill pile, which was, indeed, almost empty. They ought to go hunting later, she thought, and smiled a little, because hunting with her clanmates was one of her favorite things to do. Assuming he wanted to come along, of course. She hoped he did. She padded over and grabbed a couple of small, sad looking mice. That about did the pile in. Then she joined Bluetuft again, speaking around the prey in her mouth, “They won’t be mad that I never visit them, right?” She asked, only partially joking.

ASHENSNOWin camp, with flamelight___________________________________________
Ashensnow was the data point so absurd no prediction algorithm could capture him. He was the rogue particle physicists spend days scratching their heads over, trying to understand his movement. Why he behaved the way he did. He siblings came out fairly normal – didn’t they? Why him. Was he dropped as a kit? Was he neglected, or over-shadowed, or did someone visit him in a dream and say, “Ashensnow, if you don’t act like an actual madman cats will ignore you and forget about you and your legacy will disappear like smoke in the breeze.” Perhaps, on the other hand, he was given too much attention. So much so that, in order to feel worthy, Ashensnow needed to captivate the clan. They were his live audience, after all. He was both himself and a part of them.
So really, we should all be apologizing to Flamelight for what happens next.
In watching the show, we passively participate in it. We observe it and so, it exists beyond the veritable hellscape of Ashensnow’s mind.
“Ah, you foolish tom! I pray that you know the storm you are entering is an unrelenting one.” Ashensnow stands, either oblivious to the sarcasm in Flamelight’s voice or, more likely, choosing to ignore it. Where is the fun in an interaction that fizzles out? Tension that is created and then simply released into the universe. No. There must be a climax – we cannot build towards nothing. Ashensnow directs plot. The tom walks towards the center of camp, his teeth baring into a snarl, the fur on his hackles rising. He yells this last bit, so loudly that it would have to draw attention. “Are you prepared to be DESTROYED, Flamelight?”

(I'm just gonna throw up some starters and see who replies lol. I need to get active before the gathering)
Adderleap || (Open)
Adderleap was lounging just outside camp, having finished her tasks for the day. She considered what she could do next - she should probably go out and hunt. Her fighting skills could probably use a bit of practice, but she couldn't do that alone very well, so she might as well help out her Clan somewhat and catch some prey. She yawned quietly as she rose to her feet, pondering where she should go to hunt.
Frogpaw || (Open)
Frogpaw was in the apprentice's den, messing and fiddling with her nest. She'd only been an apprentice for a moon or two at this point, and she was still perfecting the arrangement of moss, feathers, and a few occasional flowers that adorned her brand new - well, not brand new, but still new nest. She frowned a little as she skittered around the nest, eyeing every detail, all whilst watching the den entrance to see who might enter, look in, or pass by.

[Hello everyone! For those of you that were able to get on yesterday, we just had our first gathering come to an end, and as such I’m going to open ShadowClan up to new scenes, however if there’s any that you want to continue from before, feel free to bring it over! If anyone wants to roleplay, I have a good amount of my characters open again!]

- - Batstar [ Ivyfalcon] Sitting just outside her den, Batstar watched as her clanmates slowly began to emerge. Today was proving to be less exciting than recent days had been, or at least it was too early for anyone to start a fight yet. Honestly Batstar wouldn’t be surprised if they were all too socially drained from the gathering to bother picking fights with one another today. Still, it was nice to have at least a few moments in the morning when her clan was still and all she could hear were faint murmurings back and forth and light snoring in the distance. However, despite the calm of the morning, Batstar couldn’t sit here all day. It wouldn’t be long before the sun was more than just a light glow in the distance. Soon enough it would be high in the sky and the heat would return full force. If she wanted to get anything done today, it would have to be soon, Standing up, Batstar padded across camp and stopped in front of the apprentice’s den. She didn’t have an apprentice of her own, in fact she hadn’t had one since she was a warrior, however she still liked to stay involved in the apprentices’ lives. She knew it wasn’t something she had to do, however Batstar had made a promise with herself that she would take at least one day out of every moon to personally see to the training of an apprentice. It was a time she really got to know the younger cats of the clan. Today, that apprentice was going to be Marshpaw. Debating for a moment if she would be intruding, Batstar pushed past the thought and padded into the den, careful not to step on any sleeping apprentices until she had found Marshpaw. “Good morning Marshpaw,” she started in an attempt to wake him up, gently nudging him with her paw. It had been a long time since she had been in the apprentice’s den, funny it didn’t seem much smaller now than it did back when she was an apprentice. Then again, she hadn’t grown much since then either.

- - Crowsong [ Feathertalon] Was she a little sad that she missed the gathering? A bit yeah, but Crowsong figured she could pester Mossynose about it later and get all the details. Besides, one of the perks of not going to the gathering meant that she had been able to sleep a lot earlier than the cats that had gone, and by now she was wide eyed and bushy tailed, ready to start the day. It was a little weird not being a mentor anymore though, especially since her first instinct was to make her way towards the apprentice’s den and find Buzzardflutter for some training, but that wasn’t necessary anymore, her younger sister was a warrior now and she didn’t need Crowsong to take her training. All of those thoughts came to a halt though when she spotted Buzzardflutter not too far off, looking like she was in the middle of freaking out of something. Apprentice or not, she was still Crowsong’s younger sister. Padding over to join the chocolate colored molly, Crowsong lied down beside her and gently pressed her weight against Buzzardflutter’s fur like she had done when Buzzardflutter got like this back when she was an apprentice. “Hey there, Buzz, you doing okay down there?” Crowsong asked in a quiet, yet light voice.
