Darkpaw emerged from the apprentice's den and yawned. Her long coat was ruffled from the nap she had been taking earlier. The young she-cat blinked her eyes a few times, hoping to rid them of the blurriness that had overtaken her vision from exhaustion. She twitched her whiskers and lowered her muzzle to the floor of the camp, sniffing around. Excitement thrilled her as she realized that since she was an apprentice now, she wouldn't be kept confined to the nursery, or at least around it-- all day. She could explore with the warriors! This would mean Gatherings, patrols, hunts.... battles even! The thought of it sent shivers of excitement up her spine.

Flinchpaw Outside of Camp || Goldengaze Voidastral As Goldengaze made her way out of camp Flinchpaw was quick to heal, not wishing to be left behind. However as they exited camp and her mentor suggested that she take the lead Flinchpaw hesitated. "Umm" Suddenly the dusky young molly began to battle a struggle from within. Where should they go? She had never taken the lead before on anything, always one to follow. Somehow Goldengaze managed to constantly take Flinchpaw from her comfort zone, and she was starting to realize how small that comfort zone of hers was. "Maybe we could try to hunt along the Crooked Brook..." pale green eyes looked up to her mentors, completely unsure of her decision.

hemlockgazeaccompanied by Ferretmask | camp, tryna leave at some point hereAs uncomfortable as Ferretmask was, Hemlockgaze could match it easily. He was like a bottle of anxiety that refused to burst and it didn't help that he was a recluse. It made it harder to relax, to let go, and find some sort of balance in his life. He didn't exactly find ShadowClan that comforting of a home, but that was okay. He'd hold out as long as possible until the time would come that he couldn't deal with it anymore.
At least the she-cat before him had humor on her side. He let out a small purr of amusement, feeling a wave of relief at she rambled on. He could understand the warrior's jumpiness, seeing that it wasn't an every day occurrence that a ghost white cat approached another cat without a word. Hemlockgaze wasn't the kind to do it often, if at all.
"Really? I'd like to see you catch a lizard then, Ferretmask," he meowed, unsure if he wanted to actually challenge the she-cat or not. "I won't be sorry then, but maybe... we shouldn't use the word 'sorry' since it seems to be a favorite."
It was rare that the gaunt tom offered banter or a reply that equaled more than four or five words. He wished he knew why he was being talkative for the first time in moons, but was it worth finding out? Probably not since he would just revert back to his regular self, an almost mute. He did feel calmer than usual (or really ever) when Ferretmask gleamed. It felt nice to be welcomed, to feel somewhat in place.
"I.. didn't exactly plan on leaving camp, so I guess if there's the off chance of hunting, I can try to catch something," he replied before rambling on. "I don't think it will go well, though, prey seems to be running slower than usual. And I'm not a great hunter... I kind of stick out like a sore paw."
His orange eyes flickered for a moment before he realized that Ferretmask had asked if they could leave now. "O-Oh! Yeah, I'm ready, just lead the way," Hemlockgaze mewed, stuttering through some of his words. He parted his maw to utter a 'sorry,' but closed it immediately. No more apologies for the day. image source - unknown | 𝓑𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐫 ♥

Cinderfall with Martensnap and Aspenpawleaving shadowclan camp Cinderfall wasn't entirely sure if she was surprised by Aspenpaw pushing back against the suggestion. She was glad when Martensnap chided her for it, but she couldn't say that she expected him to do any less. "Your pride won't feed our elders," she added, giving the apprentice a cold glare before turning towards the camp entrance. If she wanted to be in a clan that was stubborn enough to starve, she could go to SkyClan. ShadowClan was nothing if not resourceful, and prey was prey, no matter where it came from.
Cinderfall couldn't deny that she was a bit nervous about heading to the Thunderpath. It was a dangerous place, whether that danger came from monsters or ThunderClan patrols, but she knew that prey was prone to crossing over it. She shook her head as she pushed out through the brambles, reasoning that they didn't have to go too close to the border in order to hunt near there.
Badgerpaw with Jaguarpaw and DogclawShadowClan Camp Badgerpaw huffed when Dogclaw told him that wit was important in battle. "You're just saying that because you're training Jaguarpaw," he complained, unwilling to admit that he was wrong. Though his eyes lit up at the suggestion of taking on a warrior, agreeing with his brother when he said that they could take one on.
When Dogclaw mentioned the tunnels, Badgerpaw couldn't contain his excitement. "Yes! You have to take us there, Dogclaw," he said, tail lashing. He looked up at the warrior with wide, pleading eyes. He couldn't tell them about the tunnels and then not take them, it would be downright cruel. Flamelight with AshensnowShadowClan Camp Flamelight had not woken up right. His whole body was sore, which he was pretty sure it was not supposed to be. It was very likely due to the faceplant he did into the ground when he tripped over a rock the day before, though he wasn't about to admit that. The tortoiseshell groaned as he rolled out of his nest and into camp, blinking sleep out of his eyes. It seemed like the camp was already up and grouping themselves into patrols, and he wasn't looking to force himself into a group.
He looked towards the fresh-kill pile, the one thing currently motivating him being hunger. The pile was pretty sad, so he resigned himself to go out hunting later if the morning patrols didn't bring anything good in. Flamelight made a bee-line straight for the freshkill pile, and managed to completely miss a whole cat. He bumped headfirst into someone else, looking up to see Ashensnow. Oh, no, he thought, anticipating some sort of dramatic reaction. He tried to hide his dread by smiling at the warrior and giving him a cheery "Good morning!"

- - Ravenpaw [ Thunderheart57, Darkshine Laufeyson-Barnes] Ravenpaw kept his eyes locked on the camp exit. Pinedapple seemed so sure that Mushroompaw would be alright, but Ravenpaw wasn’t so sure. The woods were scary, and apprentices weren’t actually supposed to wander off without someone with them, or at least permission to go off on their own. What if Mushroompaw got hurt out there? That’s when Ravenpaw decided to do something he would almost never do anytime else. “Pinedapple,” he started and looked over at her, opening his mouth to ask his question, however words failed him and he was left feeling - and looking - like an idiot with his mouth open. Closing it again, Ravenpaw looked away, looking around camp for a minute until his eyes landed on Darkpaw not far off. “Pinedapple, um, as much as I um...as much as I want to stay and talk, I um....I guess I should probably well...I should probably...that is, Applefrost is probably looking for me and I...and I need to go find him,” he started nervously and glanced back over at Pinedapple. ”But...but I think Darkpaw could use your company, she’s all alone over there,” he explained and gestured with a flick of his tail over to where Darkpaw was. (Hope it’s okay I dragged you into this, Darkshine Laufeyson-Barnes!)

- - Bluetuft [ ®Hawkpath®] Bluetuft let out a friendly purr as Ravenwhisper listed off some of the things she had been thinking about doing. Honestly all of them sounded like a lot of fun to him, however Bluetuft had something else in mind. “That sounds like fun, but I think Mossynose is assigning patrols soon and I feel like we should be here when she does, in case we’re needed,” he started off lightly. If they weren’t, they could go hunting. “In the meantime though, do you want to come with me to the elders den?” Bluetuft asked with a small tilt of his head. “I was going to bring my mother something to eat for breakfast and see how everyone is doing,” he explained lightly and shot a glance towards the elders den. Hopefully Morningmist hadn’t already eaten yet, he enjoyed bringing her some food in the morning.

- - Crowsong [ Blaze ♡] Crowsong plopped herself down next to Mossynose, flicking her tail in acknowledgement. “Batstar mentioned something about Turtlecloud on the dawn patrol after our fight, so I guess she should be on that one,” Crowsong started, pausing for a second before adding: “You should put her on the dusk patrol too, keep her busy,” she said innocently. Was her motives for suggesting that Turtlecloud be put on the morning and dusk patrol pure? No, but Turtlecloud deserved it and Crowsong stood by that. ”As for the others, did you have anyone in mind yet? I bet we’ve got tons of antsy cats outside waiting to do something,” she said and looked back over towards her littermate. Personally, Crowsong preferred when she wasn’t on patrols because it meant she could go with her own style, she could hunt by herself or drag someone along, she could hang out with the elders all day, or she could bother Silverbirch and Minksneeze in the medicine cat den for awhile. The options were limitless.

Here's a starter: Hollowstripe padded along the edge of camp, keeping away from the other cats just to be sure he didn't step on anyone's tail. Figuratively speaking, that was. He wasn't usually distant, but he wasn't sure that he wanted to spend today talking to another cat about Clan politics or Clan drama. It would be one or the other, very likely. When he'd found an empty patch of shade, he sat down, beginning to groom his tail. Slow strokes of the tongue, all while keeping an eye out for clanmates nearby. He wasn't adverse to talking so much as he was waiting to see if anyone he actually cared to talk to approached.

The she cat watched the young apprentice leave and went in search of something else to do. She went to check if a border patrol was still recruiting members, or if the medicine cat needed help gathering supplies.

Cavegrowl Camp || Hollowstripe mintedstar/fur🦇 Restless about being in camp Cavegrowl began to walk about. Having no apprentice, and not have been assigned to any patrols the silver and grey marbled tom tried to figure out what to do with himself. Hunting was always an option, and the tom almost left camp in solitude. On his way out Cavegrowl happened to come upon Hollowstripe. "Hey Hollowstripe", he meowed casually and changed course to speak with his friend. Maybe hanging out with a comrade would be enough to soothe his antsy state. "How have things been going for you? I feel like it's been for ever since we patrolled together."

FERRETMASKfinally breaking out of camp, with hemlockgaze_________________________________
The great umber sun hung, unhurried by the swift-passing birds, gravity so intense it was unaffected by other matter. The atmosphere in camp was languorous and warm, colored by heavy golden sunlight. Ferretmask was not as relaxed as the world; she was not so large as to not be stirred by the movement of others. Cats walked and it dragged her attention. A bird chirped and suddenly the past conversation was forgotten. The overeager sentential of her brain was searching a deck and every card was coming up Danger! Was one of her clan-mates planning a stealth attack; ready to challenge her to a fight to the death (these are illegal!) in the center of camp? Were the birds actually working for the bourgeoisie? Was Hemlockgaze talking with her just to mess with her? Would he go back to the warriors den and huddle together with Dogclaw and Turtlecloud, giggling about how stupid Ferretmask was? How her anxiety made even basic tasks seem like shouldering the world.
No. Hemlockgaze is nice. Look, he’s just as nervous as he is? Look at the way he fidgets. Track how he visibly relaxes once Ferretmask starts joking, applying levity like a salve. He’s fine. She’s fine. Just calm down for a second, ok?
“Ha. Bet”, the she-cat mews, twitching her whiskers. “But we can’t ban the word sorry! Hemlockgaze, that’s half of my vocabulary? I’m s- Would you render me mute?”
Her mood continues to brighten as the white tom continues talking. She isn’t sure if she’s ever heard him talk this much. Which is a shame. She should have made more of an effort to get to know him. Really, she should be making more of an effort to get to know all her clan-mates. But she doesn’t. Anxiety. Ya know.
“Welcome to Bad-Hunter-Clan, population two”, Ferretmask almost rolls her eyes as she begins to bad out of camp. “Yeah, the drought seems to have sent all the prey scurrying into ThunderClan territory. There’s no place for it to hide anymore. If we don’t catch anything, I guess we can always blame that.”
Once they dip out of camp, the she-cat mumbles, just sort of thinking out loud. “I wonder why we don’t hunt over towards High Stones? It’s not like it’s anyone else’s territory. And there’s like. Rocks that mice would hide in.”

The Thunderpath Tunnels were something every ShadowClan cat knew about, but were relatively unknown by outsiders. It was their best kept secret… As far as Dogclaw knew, at least. The Thunderpath was one of the few things that kept other clans from bringing the fight to them, the knowledge of the tunnels would pose a problem if discovered by outsiders.
But Badgerpaw and Jaguarpaw weren’t outsiders, and Dogclaw figured they’d see the tunnels eventually. He figured it was in their best interest they know sooner rather than later. Besides, the mere mention of the tunnels sparked enthusiasm in the pair of apprentices. The excitement that lit up their identical blue eyes was bright enough to rival the sun. At this point, even if Dogclaw wanted to say no to them he couldn’t.
“That settles it then,” he concludes, bowing into a spine-lengthening stretch, “Why don’t we go ask Mossynose about putting together a patrol.” He figured the deputy would be arranging dawn patrols right about now, with some luck it wouldn’t take much convincing to persuade her to put the three of them on one of those patrols near the Thunderpath.
Straightening, he flicked his tail at the apprentices, a wordless cue to follow after him. He checked the warrior’s den first and found the deputy and her sister, Crowsong, there. It crossed his mind to ask how Crowsong was doing after her earlier scuffle with Turtlecloud. But the concern was short lived. She was a ShadowClan cat, of course she was fine after a little tussle like that. Who knows? She be all the better for it.
Fortunately, by the sound of it, the two were already talking about patrols. “If you’re deciding on patrols,” Dogclaw cut in, “I wanted to take Jaguarpaw and Badgerpaw to patrol along the Thunderpath.” He tossed a glance back at the apprentices in question.

ASHENSNOWin camp, with flamelight___________________________________________
Have you ever heard the story of Ashensnow’s the Great? It is an epic; twisted with blood, war, and prophecy. The prophecies are still unspoken, lost between StarClan and the lips of medicine cats, but rest assured they exist. Having Been Prophesized inheres in Being the Chosen One. We all know that. We have read the stories; heard the same tale spun a thousand different ways by the elders. Ashensnow is all the cats in these stories. He is the hero. He is the monomyth. The clan was his backdrop and he is center stage.
Ashensnow may as well be a solipsist, because he believes that he is fulcrum of existence. Everyone else is just a player in his game. He is the hero. The protagonist. We are following him, and his thoughts, because to follow anyone else is to peddle in trivialities. See him now, walking through camp. His silver coat rustles in the wind. Sun catches on it, haloing him. He radiates. He has an aura. She-cats are dropping over in awe. You don’t see them? Look harder. Maybe they’re StarClan she-cats and you can’t see them because you haven’t been gifted with The Sight. For the record, Ashensnow can’t see any swooning she-cats either but he thinks there ought to be some. Or swooning toms. Ashensnow jives with anyone who can appreciate him and his empyrean beauty.
On this fateful day, as Ashensnow makes his daily waltz over to the freshkill pile, which is small today, given the drought, given the drying up of their territory and the mass exodus of its prey, there is an interruption.
Ah, Ashensnow thinks as the young tom collides with him.
This is how today’s story begins. Right now. In media res, Ashensnow thinks as he is falling over. He lands in the dirt. Face first. He pops up gleaming.
“Flamelight!” The silver tom twitches his whiskers and dirt falls off. His face is covered with it. Large blue eyes shine through like lakes in a landscape of mud. The shy tortoiseshell tom smiles back at him, as cheery as a cherry. A little bird singing in the morning sun. “You seem like you’re in a hurry! Off on a grand adventure?”
The tom pauses, rolling over potential futures in his mind. “Or… we are in the middle of camp. Why, are you challenging me to a DUEL?”
The says the last part loudly. And, in classic Ashensnow style, with an overt dramatic flare.

Mossynose with Crowsong, Dogclaw, Jaguarpaw, and Badgerpaw and literally anyone else who's listening to patrols.
Mossynose let out a soft hum of agreement. "Sounds fair," she meowed, if Batstar wanted Turtlecloud out of camp, she would agree with the young leader's wishes. There was gleam in her eyes, "Dusk patrol too? Poor Turtlecloud will be tucked out," she meowed with a deep sigh. However, it would keep the molly from starting fights for the most part. "Alright, Turtlecloud on dawn and dusk. We won't bother with most of the mentor and apprentices pair unlike later, perhaps sunhigh patrol?" she mused, it would give them time to one on one training with them if desired.
Her green eyes scanned around the clearing, carefully numbering who was all out and about within the clearing. She titled her head when she noticed a certain black and white tom heading in their direction. "Dogclaw," she greeted with a flicker of her tail. Her gaze flickering beyond the tom at the two apprentices behind him. Mossynose stared at them, "Thunderpath with two apprentices?" she questioned with a hint of disbelief in her meow, "If you really want too, take a warrior or two if you go," she meowed, trying to feel queasy about the thought of Dogclaw letting Badgerpaw and Jaguarpaw out of his sight and one of the apprentices getting stuck by a monster.
- ahhh / i can't remember who is all going on that thunder/shadow patrol clash thing. discord discussion seemed "messy" so i left that open-ended

c o a l n o s e { in camp w/ open } The afternoon sun was especially brutal this greenleaf, the hottest part of the day no doubt. In beat down into the shrouded camp of ShadowClan, which offered hardly any shelter to the sweltering heat. Coalnose had returned from the dawn patrol and slithered right into his nest, though his nap was rudely awoken by the specks of light that pooled into his nest. As he exited the warriors den only to be greeted by a blast of hot air, the tomcat let out a low growl of irritation. Tiredness was apparent in his green gaze, his jet black bodice sauntering over to the fresh-kill pile. The heat not only stuck to his black fur and caused him to overheat at times, but it also killed his appetite. Despite the heap of morsels looking promising, their smell and appearance did nothing for his stomach. Sighing softly, he flicked his tail tip in dismissal and retreated to the edge of camp, trying his best to hide underneath a pine tree. In the shade, it was almost ten degrees cooler; at least it felt like that. Shaking out his fur, the tomcat flopped onto his haunches, rasping his tongue across his tangle shoulder fur. Searching the camp for any sign of life that wasn't a kit or apprentice, Coalnose gritted his teeth as he didn't find anything of interest. The patrols were being formed as well as the apprentices being sorted out for training, yet the warrior remained uninterested in everything his green gaze scanned over.

Brightfire -- with Coalnose // shadowclan camp
Brightfire groaned as she managed to squeeze her way back into camp through the prickly entrance. She'd gone off into the territory on her own earlier this morning, having become restless from the heat. It laid over her like a weight that she couldn't shrug off. Her glowing yellow eyes linger on Mossynose as the deputy looked to be assigning cats to a patrol. Interested in knowing if she was in one, her paws itched to trek over to the group and ask, but she's sure if she'd been assigned to anything then they would call her over. Instead, Brightfire looks around camp to see what else was going on. She spots Coalnose by himself and watches as he attempts to groom his shoulder, noticing the uninterested look in his eyes as he scanned the clearing. Determined to start a conversation, the small black molly made her way over to him
"Hey, Coalnose!" Brightfire greeted him with a grin, standing right in front of the tom now, perhaps standing a bit closer than she should've in an attempt to be under the shade. "How was dawn patrol?" She asked, remembering that she'd seen him leaving with the patrol first thing in the morning but she'd left before the patrol had returned.

Pinedapple waved her tail towards Brightfire and Coalnose. “Hello! How is your day going?” She asked. The she cat walked over to the pair and sat down. “I already ate a frog a few moments ago. I don’t know what I can do now. Everybody is going out on patrol and such,” she added with a sigh. She licked the back of her ear to relieve an itch bothering her.

Goldengaze with Flinchpaw (Falconwing ) || Location: Camp
Goldengaze held in a short sigh. The black pelted warrior could sense the unease and shift in her apprentice. Goldengaze's face became gentle, she gave a nod to Flinchpaw, "Yes. I think that would be excellent. You need to develop more confidence in your choices." The warriors nudged Flinchpaw in a comforting manner, "As long as you can find your way there at least." She took a few steps back, letting Flinchpaw now fully stand in front.

MANTISPAWin camp, with mossynose, dogclaw, badgerpaw, and jaguarpaw__________________________________
In classic Mantispaw fashion, she enters the foray screaming.
You see, she had been walking in circles around camp. She was bored half-to-tears. Literally, you can see them forming at the corners of her eyes. They’re more from the dust she kicked up as she walked than from sadness, but the sentiment remains. She was a pot of water boiling over. A baby bird bursting out of the nest and falling straight to the ground. She was bored and tired of being bored and bored of being tired of being bored. She could go hunting – but where? The territory was drying up, her usual amphibian prey, which she was quite adept at catching if she says so herself – which she will – had fled. It had bounded into the hills to the north. Into the pools of the south. Into whatever was left of the RiverClan river which was, also, drying up. Mantispaw was praying to StarClan that her boredom would, too, dry when she heard Mossynose speaking.
She stopped walking.
Her ears perked up.
“If you really want to, take a warrior or two if you go.”
Mantispaw was basically a warrior, right? Mantispaw, maybe her real name was Mantispaws, see what she did there, and everyone else just slept through her ceremony. She could pull it off. Totally.
And so, she ran into camp screaming.
“Wait! Wait! Don’t leave without me, I want to come!”
She was literally skidding. Kicking up a small wake of dirt behind her.
“Oh. Uh. Hi Mossynose, Dogclaw. Jaguarpaw. Badgerpaw.”
She listed their names like a substitutue teacher reading off an attendance sheet.
“Hi”, Mantispaw was repeating herself. “Hi. Um.” She cleared her throat. “I would like to join the patrol, if you would have me. It would give me a chance to. Become better acclimated with hunting near… ThunderClan. Squirrels.”
The she-cat’s blue eyes were wide, eager, and blinking.

{Hey, 𝑓𝑜𝑥 , I have Frostpaw open, if Mothcatcher is open.? Maybe they can do some training.?}
•Darkfire• •-Open for interaction-•(Mentions Batstar{𝕊’𝕞𝕠𝕣𝕖} and Mossynose{Blaze ♡}) •-|-Shadowclan Camp-|-[/]-•
Darkfire paced outside the large bramble bush, that made the warriors den. His large orange paws, slightly scuffing the ground as he paced. His black and orange head was bent down, staring at the ground as he walked. He orange muzzle moving as he mumbled under his breath. He seemed very deep in thought, his orange tipped ears, flickering as if in agitation. The senior warrior had woken up in, quite a bad mood. He had slept for only a short period of time, before becoming restless, during the night. When he'd finally settled down again, he was awoken by the movement of other warriors around him. The day had begun, and here he was, being his normal, hot-headed self. Giving himself a rough shake, he let out a slight growl, before forcing his paws to stop moving. The large black and orange tom sat down on his hindquarters, with a slight huff, and let his dark green eyes travel the camp clearing.
He couldn't help but get the urge to be out and doing something. Whether it be a patrol, or hunting, or even a walk could be nice. He continued to scan the clearing, wondering if there was anyone that he could find to join him. Maybe if he could find a couple of others, they could make a patrol out of it. He was sure that Batstar and Mossynose wouldn't mind. After all, the clan could always use fresh prey. And the borders always needed to be checked. His gaze searched for his leader and deputy, suddenly unsure if he should ask for permission before going out of camp. What if they needed him here.?
He couldn't help but let his lips draw back slightly at the thought. He was a senior warrior, after all. He shouldn't have to be stuck back in camp. It made him feel useless, and lazy, and..Like and apprentice. Giving his head an agitated shake, to clear it, he huffed again. He needed to get his mind out of the clouds, and be attentive. Especially if he wanted to be somewhere besides trapped in camp, like a kit.

•Frostpaw• •-Open for interaction-• (Mentions Mothcatcher{𝑓𝑜𝑥}) •-|-Shadowclan Camp-|-[@stitchlover20 ]-•
Frostpaw emerged from the apprentices den, letting out a long yawn. She had slept in past the other apprentices, and kind of felt ashamed of it. Usually she was up and around and full of energy. Ready to prove herself and her independence. Today though, she had decided to sleep in a little longer. Hopefully no one had noticed. She definitely didn't want a scolding in front of anyone, about how she was the last one out of her nest. She blinked sleep from her ice-blue eyes, looking around to see if she could spot her mentor, Mothcatcher. When she couldn't see her anywhere, she sat down, with a relieved sigh.
The tall white she-cat began to groom out her long fur, smoothing the black specks, that dappled her coat. A soft purr rose from her chest, as she cleaned herself. She twisted, reaching for her back, eyes closed as she did so. She wanted to at least look decent, for when her mentor came to find her. Mind beginning to wonder, she apprentice started to think about what it was that her Mothcatcher would be training her today. She flexed her claws, digging them into the ground as she thought. She would do anything to have a little battle training. It would be fun to learn some new moves.

Scorchstreak sat in his nest, his green eyes narrowed, and staring out of the elders den, into the camp clearing. The impatient tom gave a slight grumble of agitation. His belly rumbling with hunger, he couldn't help but be a bit grumpy. Usually one of the apprentices would come by, by now. Yet, the sun was shining, and not one had ventured to the elders den, to see if any of them would need anything. He knew that he could get up himself, but wasn't that the job of the apprentices.? To care for their elders.? He knew that answer, as he had dealt with the very same thing when he was an apprentice. Giving himself a slight hiss of annoyance, he forced himself to his paws.
The black tom stretched out his front legs, as far as they would go, clawing at the ground as he did so. He yawned, two rows of sharp teeth, showing. After giving himself a nice long stretch, he arched his back, and then sighed. Shaking out his black and orange streaked fur, the long-legged tom, pushed his way from the den. "If you want something done, you might as well do it yourself." He couldn't help but let the thought cross his mind, as he blinked in the sunlight, his eyes not use to the brightness.

Flinchpaw Headed to Crooked Brook w/ Goldengaze Voidastral Confidence was one thing little Flinchpaw did not have. Maybe that's why her mother named her Flinch, either way she would never know. Could it be that the loss of her mother and siblings at such a young age stole away that side of her. Still if confidence was something she needed Flinchpaw was sure that with Goldengazes help she could acquire it. With her mentors encouraging nudge she nodded and gulped away the dryness that had formed in her throat. Okay. Now which way to the Crooked Brook. Thinking back to when Goldengaze had given her a lesson on the layout of Shadowclan territory the dusky apprentice cocked her head. Finally it came to her. "Its this way?" She meowed questioningly as she pointed with her nose in the right direction. Looking back at Goldengaze she corrected herself. "It is this way", she meowed trying her best to sound confident.

c o a l n o s e { in camp w/ Brightfire } Almost coming to him as a shock, Brightfire's nose a mere mouse length from his made the warrior jump a bit. He hadn't heard the sneaky she-cat creep up on him making his neck fur prickle in surprise. Her loud mew was enough to make his ears swivel backward, away from the source of noise and his nose twitch at her scent. Not wanting to be rude, Coalnose offered her a small nod, attempting to scoot away from her only to be greeted by the tree trunk behind him. He grunted as his behind smacked it rather hard, gritting his teeth in embarrassment. Nothing made the tomcat more uncomfortable than someone invading his personal space. "Brightfire," he began in his deep voice, sighing softly between his teeth. "It was alright, borders were fine." His response was curt, almost as if he was hoping she'd go away, though as the black she-cat began making herself a bit more comfortable, he realized that wasn't the case. "I didn't realize you were awake so early," he mused, turning his gaze away from her and shifting his weight backward.

- -Ravenpaw [ ᴏᴡʟ] Once his conversation with Pinedapple had wrapped up, Ravenpaw padded over towards the warrior’s den, stopping in his tracks as he peered inside, the darkness from the den seemingly growing as it loomed forward in front of him. Applefrost was in there. If Ravenpaw really wanted to go after Mushroompaw, he should get his mentor’s permission first. However...that would require talking to Applefrost and Ravenpaw wasn’t sure he could that, especially not when he was requesting something. Gulping, Ravenpaw shook his head and turned out. He couldn’t do it. “You could leave anyways,” whispered a thought in the back of his head. Ravenpaw shook it off. He had only been an apprentice for a few days and he really doubted he could leave on his own. But...but Mushroompaw was only a moon older than him, he probably shouldn’t be out on his own anyways. Inhaling sharply, Ravenpaw pushed all his thoughts aside and marched over to the quickly dwindling fresh kill pile. He grabbed a small mouse on top of the pile and started off to the camp exit. Once he got there he hesitated for a moment or so before giving his head a small shake and padded out of camp in search of Mushroompaw.
