Minksneeze
shadowclan camp | morning | starter
Minksneeze wasn't the biggest supporter of her leader's style of conflict resolution. Sure sometimes a fight was necessary- even she had been trained for battle, but Batstar's solution always seemed to end in a very public fight. Which of course meant more warriors were sent to her and Silverbirch for completely avoidable injuries.
She wished she could talk to her mentor about the battles- complain a little to him about Batstar, but he'd always been impossible for her to read. For all she knew, he could be in full support of the fights. Actually, knowing him, he probably loves them. Ok that was harsh- and an unfair judgement. Silverbirch might have been an old grump, but so was half of ShadowClan. If everyone was suddenly nice, she'd know something was terribly wrong.
As the fight was broke up, she let out a sigh and headed back into the medicine cat den. Every morning she'd go through their herb storage, throwing out leaves that had rotted away or had dried up too much to be useful. Of course, now with the drought she wasn't sure if it was better to hold onto the old leaves. Sure they wouldn't be very useful- but sometimes if a cat was feeling ill or pain the illusion of medicine could still help them recover. She'd have to ask Silverbirch about it. In the mean time, she sat crouched in the corner trying to find out which herbs they needed to restock today.

Cavegrowl Camp || Dogclaw planetesimal Upon seeing the black and white form of Dogclaw hollaring at his apprentice to get going, Cavegrowl sat up and perked his tufted ears towards the tom. So far with nothing to do the warrior was curious if his friend would mind having a tag-a-long. Quickly trotting over to Dogclaw as he backed out of the apprentices den Cavegrowl rose his deep gravelly voice to speak. "Hey Dogclaw! Got plans with Jaguarpaw today?" He questioned casually as he sat down a tail length away. It had been a while since he had spent any time with Dogclaw. The pair grew up together, being only a couple moons apart, and had quite an adventurous early warrior-hood. However, when Dogclaw started to mentor Jaguarpaw their time together drastically lessened. It was not usual for Cavegrowl to feel as sentimental as he was but with nothing to do and the possible opportunity presenting itself the grey and silver warrior would not let it pass him by.

MARTENSNAP shadowclan camp cinderfall / highprince ------------------------------
Martensnap turned his head to look at Cinderfall. He raised his lip a bit out of annoyance; he wanted to be bored in peace. "Yeah, of course we're not boring," he raised his head, then the rest of his body to a sitting position, "we're ShadowClan, we can't be boring. You implying something or are you just trying to start a conversation?" He had seen Cinderfall watching the fight between Crowsong and Turtlecloud earlier, so he hoped, in the deep pit of his brain, that she'd want to talk about that fight. He shuffled his paws an anticipation for her response. If she wanted to talk about something else, probably something he either wasn't interested in or despised with all his being, he...didn't really know what he'd do. He was too excited for the conversation about the fight that he couldn't think about anything else.

M U S H R O O M P A W in camp, accompanied by Tigerstrike and Ravenpaw It wasn't like the fight between Crowsong and Turtlecloud had scared Mushroompaw—except, it totally did. It was just his luck, having left the apprentice's den in search of a lovely dried frog for breakfast, only to witness a skirmish along the way. It made him wonder if the other clans woke up to such chaos in the morning. He loved ShadowClan, but he had to admit that it was difficult to relax in it. Batstar insisted on settling every issue with a fair brawl, and with the poor weather they had been having, those issues were piling up—unlike their fresh-kill pile.
Really, he wondered sourly, shouldn't fighting be reserved for the battlefield, or something...?
Plucking a skinny frog from within the dried-out heap, the fluffy tabby turned to make his way back to the apprentice's den. The little creature felt like it was filled with more bones than meat, but that was just what he had wanted. He was hoping that it was small enough to go unnoticed. He didn't want to share it with anyone beside his brother, Marshpaw. That way, they could eat together before their mentors came to fetch them. Truthfully, he didn't like being separated from littermate. Marshpaw was an anxious sort of cat, and having him at his side always helped to sooth Mushroompaw's nerves. He certainly had a lot of those. In fact, he felt one of them begin to snap as Tigerstrike nearly crushed him.
With a frazzled wail, Mushroompaw reeled to the side as the warrior hit the ground. "Watch it!" he hissed. The fur along his spine had risen like marsh grass, and he lashed his tail wildly as he glared at him. It was then that he noticed his frog, laying upturned on the ground. "Oh!" he cried. "My frog!"
Scrambling towards it, he pinned it beneath a paw. It felt gritty beneath his toes. "Fox-dung!" he cursed. "Now it's more dust than meat!" he whined. There was no way he could give this to Marshpaw now!
Looking from Tigerstrike, to his son, Mushroompaw flattened his ears as he glared at the little tom. "Don't you think your kin are being a bit too rowdy, so early in the morning?!"

Mossynose A soft sigh escaped the brown molly's mouth. She felt Tigerstrike shifting next to her before feeling his warmth disappear and paw steps heading away. Mossynose withheld the urge to groan, knowing that if her mate was awake and leaving the warrior's den then she should have probably been out there by now, talking to Batstar and thinking about who needed to go on what patrol. And making sure that Ravenpaw was fine and didn't need her help.
Mossynose's ear twitched as she heard someone else enter the warrior den. She started to push herself up into a sitting position, her green eyes flickering over to meet her sister's similar eyes. "Good Morning," she muttered in the quiet of the den. She flickered her tail and let out a soft huff of laughter, "Is it probably time for to arrange patrols isn't it? Anybody getting antsy?" Mossynose asked with a teasing edge to her meow.
She paused for a moment, finally taking note of the dust on her sister's pelt. It was morning, the molly's pelt should be clean... unless. She narrowed her eyes and shot Crowsong a stern look. "What did you do now?" she asked in surprisingly dry tone, opposed to her light tone moments earlier.
mossy goes out there, threatens applefrost. if anyone happens to my bby, you are the first to die. lolol xD

Pinedapple (Thunderheart57 )| ShadowClan Camp|Communicating with Tigerstrike, Mushroompaw, and Ravenpaw Pinedapple stretched her legs out and walked into camp. The smell of fresh killed prey caught her attention. She grabbed the nearest piece, a frog, and began to munch on it. She reflected on her warrior ceremony when her parents were still alive to see her receive her name. Pinedapple remembered how hard it was to survive out in the woods with another apprentice much to her chagrin. She missed them dearly, and they were gone.
The she cat knew that she would be going up against opponents that would be stronger, cunning, and battle until the end of it all. She shivered at the thought that the Clans would fight over sometimes unnecessary arguments about whose piece of prey belongs to whom, and border skirmishes that often left patrol groups scarred and licking wounds for days.
She finished her frog and went around to keep herself busy. After all, the life of a warrior would be tough and full of memories to pass onto her grandkits. If they found out that she spent most of her days wallowing around in camp eating frogs all day, they would certainly laugh in glee. She notice a yowl from nearby, and saw how Mushroompaw had a defeated look on his face.
“Here, you can have this instead,” she replied as she found a bigger piece of prey in the pile and scooted it over to the hungry apprentice. She sat down and gave the other cats a glare at how they handled the situation.
”Mushroompaw! What compelled you to say that in front of your mentor?” she snapped while motioning her paw at the mangled piece of prey at Mushroompaw’s paws.

- - Crowsong [ Blaze ♡] Padding into the warrior’s den, Crowsong let out a bemused purr at her sister. “Sleeping in, are we? Half the clan’s already up,” she told her, sitting down next to Mossynose as she curled her tail around her paws. Crowsong would’ve probably been asleep right now too if it wasn’t for the whole thing with Turtlecloud. Sure it started simple enough, with Crowsong rolling over and accidentally kicking the large molly in the face while she slept, but that had been an accident, and everyone in the clan knew that Crowsong was a restless sleeper, she moved all over the place. Turtlecloud had been the one to take it the wrong way. Speaking of Turtlecloud, as soon as Mossynose commented on Crowsong’s disheveled appearance, her purr came to a stop. Crowsong idly groomed her pelt in an effort to make it look somewhat presentable. “Don’t get mad at me, be mad at Turtlecloud, she was the one that got all irritated earlier,” she explained with a small shrug. The warrior’s den was fairly empty by now, as most of the cats had left, which was a good thing because Crowsong wasn’t keen on explaining why she was getting into fights to just anyone. “Besides, I was defending your son’s honor,” she continued and reached a paw out to tap Mossynose on her forehead. “After I sleep kicked Turtlecloud in the face, she got all angry and somehow it led to us arguing and she brought up Ravenpaw, she said some things that I don’t feel like repeating, so I challenged her to a fight,” Crowsong explained with a small, nonchalant shrug of her shoulders, trying to act casual. “Oh and don’t worry, I won.”

Cinderfall with MartensnapShadowClan Camp Cinderfall couldn't say she was totally surprised at Martensnap's attitude, though she hoped that he would at least be okay with a conversation about two of their clanmates brawling in the middle of camp. "I'm just saying that most other clans don't get into fights with their clanmates early in the morning." Cinderfall looked at Martensnap, trying to gauge his reaction. "Though I think there's something admirable about it, defending your pride so earnestly. Don't you?" She didn't know if he would exactly be interested in a meaningful conversation, but maybe talking about battle would be enough to keep his attention.

- - Ravenpaw [ ᴏᴡʟ, ʀᴀɪɴʟᴇᴀғ 🍁, Thunderheart57] Ravenpaw went from being alone to being surrounded by other cats way to quick for comfort. Instinctively, he moved to press himself beside Tigerstrike, relying on the protection and comfort that his father brought to get himself through this confrontation. Mushroompaw was only a moon older than he was, however Ravenpaw couldn’t help but be intimidated by him, he just seemed so...so aggressive. Which wasn’t all that unusual for a cat in ShadowClan, but it didn’t make interacting with him any easier. “Oh, I...I’m sorry, I could go get you a different frog, a...a bigger, better frog!” He offered lightly, moving a little closer to Tigerstrike as he made an effort to disappear into his father’s fur. Ravenpaw moved to go search for a new frog from the fresh kill pile, however before he made it far, Pinedapple got involved and he instantly backed back up to his original spot by Tigerstrike. Pinedapple didn’t seem to be angry, which was nice, however Ravenpaw still found himself overwhelmed by the presence of yet another cat. Making himself seem as small as he possibly could, Ravenpaw looked at the prey that Pinedapple was offering Mushroompaw. There, everyone was happy, right? He hoped so, he wasn’t sure how much more of this he could take.

Goldengaze with Flinchpaw (Falconwing ) || Location: Camp
The molly shifted, raising her head to look over at her apprentice. "Morning Flinchpaw," Goldengaze took note of her shivering apprentice. While she hadn't even had her for a moon yet, the dark pelted warrior understood how fragile Flinchpaw was. Goldengaze could only assume Batstar had assigned Flinchpaw to her because of their contrasting personalities. "How are you doing this morning, ready for some hunting maybe? We could possibly join the patrol." Goldengaze asked and offered, stretching out her paws as she sat up. Over the past moon or so as the drought had become worse, Goldengaze had become more accustomed to the tension, not that she enjoyed it. (my apologies! I hadn't gotten the notification for you @ing me!

"Ah, I see," he nodded. "I guess it could be admirable, I mean...most other Clans just sit and take the foxdung being spat at them." He smirked, "But ShadowClan cats know how to properly defend their honor and show their strength, huh?" Tiny bits of dirt were thrown about as he wagged his fluffy tail like an excited dog. His eyes shone as he continued to talk, "It's easier to get a cat to respect you when you have them pinned under your claws. I've learned that a few times." He lifted his paw and displayed his claws to Cinderfall.

Ravenwhisper |ShadowClan Camp | Open Ravenwhisper was laying in the dappled sunshine, her pelt appearing even blacker than usual in the light. She stretched out, her short claws extending and her eyes closed as she soaked in the warmth. Finally, she got to her feet, shaking out her dark pelt to free the dust. She stretched, then yawned, then glanced around at the rest of her Clan. She loved this place. It was home, and it was family, and she wouldn’t trade it for anything. She smiled slightly, watching the cats go by, her ears forward. She wanted someone to talk to. Maybe someone to hunt with. She glanced around for her siblings, but didn’t seen them, and let out a small sigh. “I’m so bored.” She muttered, half hoping someone would hear her. Not that she wanted pity, but she needed attention.

Jaguarpaw with Badgerpaw & Dogclaw // in camp 〷 ☾ 〷
The golden bengal tom let out a small 'oof' as his brother as Badgerpaw's paws jabbed into his flanks, pushing him away from the warmth his litter mate. His blue eyes slid open blearily, focusing on the currently blurry shape of his dark furred brother. "Rude," he mumbled sleepily. He flicked an ear at his brother's teasing tone, snorting softly as he shook his head. "Whatever you say, frog-breath," Jaguarpaw teased back, lifting a paw to lightly bat at his brother's ears. He closed his eyes on a groan, when Dogclaw's voice reached his ears. Of course, his mentor wouldn't just let him laze around with his brother. When he was called again, none to kindly mind you, the tom finally rolled his head towards his mentor. "Alright, already. I heard you the first time," he snapped, blue eyes narrowing. Jaguarpaw got to his paws, purposefully taking his sweet time doing so. He shook himself firmly once, rolling his eyes to Badgerpaw, before padding towards Dogclaw. "So, I'm awake, no what?" he questioned, his tone less hostile this time around, head tilting curiously to the side.

Once Tigerstrike had gotten up, wincing from his bruised flank, he sat beside his son. Mushroompaw's word didn't sting, even if they were disrespectful. All the warrior wanted to do was see his son before he started his day. Tigerstrike nodded at Pinedapple, greeting her and silently thanking her. Mushroompaw was an interesting character in ShadowClan, but he strongly disliked him upsetting Ravenpaw. He didn't move a mouse-length as his son pressed into the tabby's fur. The fact soured his mood and he quickly turned into his collected normal self. Only when he was around his family did he allow himself to act a fool. They were his world and he would do anything to show them that. Narrowing his eyes, Tigerstrike stared straight at Mushroompaw. His whiskers twitched once before he spoke. "If Pinedapple had not been kind to give you something else, I would have suggested washing the frog. However, we don't have much water, so you would have had to shake it. Even if it's covered in dust, prey is prey. We should be grateful for what was caught." coding & icon image by officialrainleafwcf

Cinderfall with MartensnapShadowClan Camp "Ooh, nice," Cinderfall mewed, admiring Martensnap's claws. They certainly did look sharp - Cinderfall wouldn't want him clawing at her, that was for sure. As she had thought, talking about battle seemed to excite Martensnap. "Other clans just talk behind your back - they're all afraid to get their own paws dirty." The gray tabby shook her head. Maybe ShadowClan's aggression seemed like a bad thing to the other clans, but that was just because they were often on the receiving end of it. "You're right. There's no better way to get someone to really respect you than threatening to claw their ears off. I'm glad you understand that."
Badgerpaw with Jaguarpaw and DogclawShadowClan Camp Badgerpaw laughed as Jaguarpaw batted at his ears, about to pounce on him when Dogclaw started calling for his brother. He looked sympathetically at Jaguarpaw - he didn't envy the mentor he'd gotten, Hollowstripe wasn't yowling for him at the crack of dawn. Badgerpaw followed Jaguarpaw out, looking around camp for his own mentor. It wasn't uncommon for the brothers to be trained together, so he was a bit surprised that Hollowstripe wasn't around. He looked back at Dogclaw, confusion evident on his face.

“Watch your tone, Jaguarpaw,” Dogclaw’s own tone was stern, unyielding. The young tom needed to learn some manners. Even so, Dogclaw was fond of his apprentice. He liked his competitive spirit, the tom had moxie. Badgerpaw was similar to his brother, both were the kind of cats that weren’t afraid to stand up for themselves. Dogclaw liked to think he lucked out in the apprentice department with Jaguarpaw, but Badgerpaw would have been his second choice.
Speaking of Badgerpaw, the black and white tom glanced around for Hollowstripe, but the other warrior was nowhere to be seen. Usually, they trained the brothers side-by-side. Maybe today would be a little different. He looked back at Badgerpaw, unsurprised by the confused expression he wore, they were probably thinking the same thing.
“Badgerpaw, if you want you can tag along with me and your brother today. I was thinking we could join a hunting patrol. Maybe try a little sparring while we’re at it,” he offered. He turned his attention to Tigerstrike, coddling his son and lecturing Mushroompaw. “Tigerstrike, I’m gonna take Jaguarpaw and Badgerpaw for some training. If you’re up for it, you could grab Thornpaw and we could form our own little hunting patrol.”

He snickered, "I bet you understand that as well." Sheathing his claws, he stood up and shook his fluffy pelt. He stretched his legs then sat back down. "I hope I get to do something today. Not too thrilled to head out into the drying up marsh, but if it's for hunting I'd do it just to sink my teeth into something, de-stress a bit." He licked his chest a few times, "But it's also scorching out there...so I dunno. Your coat's not as thick as mine so you must be having a better time than I am." He chuckled nervously. The goal of talking about fighting was to get his mind off the drying marsh, but he ended up putting his mind back on the drying marsh. Foxdung! Mousedung! All the dung! Why can't this just be a normal Greenleaf?

M U S H R O O M P A W in camp, accompanied by Pinedapple, Tigerstrike and Ravenpaw Uh-oh.
Now he'd done it. First it was Pinedapple, now it was Tigerstrike. He'd snapped at a warrior, and at his son, though that seemed like a small offense by now. He hardly heard Ravenpaw's offer anyways. He was too busy staring up at the older cats looming over him. His fur was twice as fluffy as it had been only a few moments ago, and his ears were pressed flat against his head. When Pinedapple passed him a piece of prey, he only looked down at it with moon-sized eyes.
Is this a threat? he thought in a moment of paranoia. They're gonna turn me into carrion and stick me on the fresh-kill pile, aren't they?
Swallowing hard, the apprentice shrunk against the dusty ground as he looked towards Tigerstrike. His words felt like claws falling across his ears, and the longer he spoke, the further his head retracted into his shoulders. By the time he finished, he looked like an orange-eyed puddle.
"I-I-..." he croaked.
Where's Marshpaw? he thought desperately. Looking past the surrounding cats, his gaze flicked towards the apprentice's den in a wild frenzy. He'd hoped he might see his brother's head appear at it's entrance, but it didn't, so he looked back up at Pinedapple and Tigerstrike helplessly.
And now, Dogclaw...?! Really?!
"I'm-... s-sorry..." the words fell from his mouth clumsily. His ear tips burned with embarrassment as he dropped his eyes onto the dusty frog in front of him. It looked pitiful, and with a glance at the larger piece of prey, he picked the scrawny amphibian up by the legs. "I-I'm not hungry anymore," he said quickly. Backing up with the frog between his teeth, he practically tossed it back onto the prey-pile. "Um—t-thank you. Sorry—I-I'll go hunt for some-something better," he meowed.
With that, he darted for the camp entrance.
StarClan! Just toss me into carrion place where I belong!

Embergaze shadowclan camp | accompanied by Ivythroat Embergaze emerged from the dirtplace to the sound of angry hisses. He stiffened, hackles rising instinctively as his muscles tensed for battle. What's happening? Are we being attacked? He glanced around, half expecting to spot a patrol of mangy ThunderClan cats barging into camp. Instead he found only Crowsong and Turtlecloud, both eyeing each other malevolently as Batstar stepped between them. Oh. It's only those two idiots.
The sleek black tom sighed and turned away from the scene. It was embarrassing that their proud and wily Clan had been reduced to petty squabbling. ShadowClan warriors were better than this. Around him, his Clanmates were returning to their business with the speed of cats who'd seen something they weren't supposed to. Others seemed to be pretending nothing had happened at all. He shook his head, coming to a stop beside Ivythroat outside the warriors' den. "Son of a badger, what have I missed this time?" He shot the calico a puzzled look, eyebrows raised. "Did she step on her tail or something? Insult her fur, perhaps?"

Cinderfall with MartensnapShadowClan Camp Cinderfall nodded. "Even with short fur, the heat gets unbearable." The rain had to come and give them some release from the sun soon, or else Cinderfall was going to march to the Moonstone and complain to StarClan herself. "We could head out to look for prey, possibly check the border at the same time?" The gray tabby suggested. While she doubted any of the other clans would be trying to steal from their currently lackluster territory, it couldn't hurt to look, especially when there was clearly some aggression pent up in her clanmates. Plus, it was doubtful that Batstar or Mossynose would take issue with Cinderfall and Martensnap taking some initiative.
Badgerpaw with Jaguarpaw and DogclawShadowClan Camp Badgerpaw was relieved that Dogclaw was willing to let him come along. He was somewhat afraid that Dogclaw would've sent him off to go find Hollowstripe and find out whatever separate training he'd have to do. Maybe it was immature, but he had done everything with Jaguarpaw since they were kits, and he was afraid of growing distant from him. At the mention of sparring, and the invitation to bring Tigerstrike and Thornpaw along, Badgerpaw nudged his brother's shoulder. "What do you wanna bet I can beat Thornpaw?" Badgerpaw knew that the only apprentice was one for competition, and he was excited by the idea of sparring with him.

Shadowclan Camp - Mothercatcher smiled at Robincall as he settled down beside her, the lizard sitting between his neatly tucked front paws. He waited to begin his mean, feeling it would be rude to eat while having a conversation, and instead watched Robincall as she spoke. She could tell that the tension had made her uneasy and it resonated with the tom.
"That's noble of you, although many of your clanmates wouldn't agree," He murmured, nodding as he took in the she-cat's words. "Staying united in troubling times is what gives us strength as a clan," He thought out loud, his whiskers twitching. The gray warrior was growing more worried by the day as he had watched the marsh slowly dry up. Dark times were entering the forest and Mothcatcher just wished he could do more about it. Alas, the tom could not control the weather. "We shouldn't be taking things out on each other. Especially when more pressing matter are looming in on Shadowclan."
Aspenpaw with Open Shadowclan Camp - Aspenpaw had watched the scuffle in the clearing from a distance, having spent her morning tucked into the shadows of camp and giving her silver coat a thorough washing. The molly liked to be presentable and took a great amount of pride in her appearance. So much so, in fact, that she woke extra early just to give herself the time for a complete wash and preferred to finish it before she would let anybody see her.
She chuckled softly to herself as Batstar broke up the fight, shaking her head in amusement. Finally, some action around here... Aspenpaw thought to herself. Personally, she felt that more issues should be solved this way--with a fight, especially a public one. What better way to get one's frustration's out while also raining shame down on your enemies? It sounded like poetry to the young cat.

"I highly doubt any cat would want to come mess with us, but I guess we should check while we try and get some prey home," he meowed. "Won't be the same without all the frogs and newts running around, though..." He frowned, but after a quick shake of his head he was smiling once more. Across the clearing he could see the outline of his apprentice. Maybe it isn't such a bad thing I'm heading out... "I'll be a moment," he mewed to Cinderfall. A bounce in his step, he made his way over to Aspenpaw's shadowy spot. His whiskers twitched as he looked down at her. "Aspenpaw, you up for going hunting? It'll be great experience if you get off your rump and come with Cinderfall and I." He wasn't going to listen if she complained about him disturbing her. He'd drag her out if she argued with him. In his mind, giving her what appeared to be an option was the nicest thing he could ever do.

Shadowclan Camp - The young apprentice looked up lazily as her mentor bounded forward to join her in her shadowy corner. Irritation prickled the young cat's coat at the sight of Martensnap and she stifled a sigh. Of course, why should I be allowed to have a peaceful morning? She thought regretfully. Her golden eyes raised to meet her mentors, her whiskers twitching as he mentioned her "getting off her rump". Like I don't do a thing for the clan... She actually sighed out loud this time, dragging herself to her paws.
"I suppose I don't have a choice in the matter?" She asked rhetorically, giving her chest fur a few extra licks down into place. Aspenpaw searched Martensnap's face, trying to gauge his mood. The warrior wasn't always the most pleasant, but he seemed reasonable this morning. "Not like there's going to be prey out anyway..." She grumbled under her breath. A drought was unarguably the wrong climate for toad and frog hunting.

Pinedapple| ShadowClan Camp| Communicating with Mushroompaw, Ravenpaw, and Tigerstrike Pinedapple nodded in understanding. “It’s okay, watch out for adders!” The she cat called to Mushroompaw as he darted out of camp. Turning to Tigerstrike, she sighed in relief.
“Thank you. Even though he isn’t your apprentice, you gave him some good advice for the future. Mushroompaw is still a young cat after all. Even I can remember a few times where I accidentally said the wrong thing and got punished for it. Had to do ticks off the elders for months,” she joked. She took the ripped up frog and carefully buried it. Pinedapple gave a sweet smile at Ravenpaw.
“How’s your training coming? I haven’t seen much of you lately,” she said. She wrapped her tail around her paws and started licking her chest.

His attention turned to Dogclaw, but Tigerstrike still looked displeased. He sighed and closed his eyes as Mushroompaw stuttered and bailed on the interaction. He fixed his amber eyes on Dogclaw, replying with a nod. "I will join you in a few moments, I must fetch Thornpaw." Standing to throw his head into the den, the warrior called for his apprentice. It was, unfortunately, time to go. Tigerstrike was grateful to at least spend time with his son prior to being called for duties. It would be a good day despite the concerns over Mushroompaw. Turkeyjaw would have to deal with the tom later on and if need be, the dark warrior could explain why the apprentice high-tailed for the camp entrance. Turning to Ravenpaw, his tone softly drastically. "I'll be back later. Have a good day and make sure you listen to Applefrost. If you want, I can eat in the evening with you." The tabby tom gave a quick nudge then stood and thrust his head in the den. He called for Thornpaw once and pulled his head back out. coding & icon image by officialrainleafwcf

MARTENSNAP shadowclan camp aspenpaw / 𝑓𝑜𝑥 cinderfall / highprince ------------------------------
"There has to be some prey out there," he waved a paw, "it can't be completely barren. I think there's some birds out there. We're not really used to hunting birds, but we can try." He twitched his whiskers, "It's good for you to get out and get used to the heat instead of spending your entire day sleeping in the shade," he hissed near the end.
He knew Aspenpaw was unhappy with him disturbing her, and he knew she wan't happy to head out, but he was going to pretend she was. It was obvious by her sigh. She'll have to learn eventually that being a warrior is tough, especially during times like these. He huffed to himself. I need to get her outside of camp more, either for training or for patrolling. It'll get her used to working.
"Cinderfall's waiting for us, so let's get going. We shouldn't waste to much time sitting in camp, it gives whatever prey's out there more time to hide from the heat, and us." He flicked his tail in Aspenpaw's face. "You can get back to your dust bath later. Actually, it'd be more helpful since you're gonna get a bit dirty when we head out. Sorry you won't be able to keep your perfect pelt for long." A bit of teeth showed as he chuckled and went off towards Cinderfall.
