So I made some lemon bars and the filling melted into the crust and it sort of all blended together and it started to burn so I had to take it out of the oven, but the filling still blended with the crust. I have to bake everything gluten free, and sometimes the recipes don’t always work out, and this seems to be one of them, but is it still okay to eat? It looks like the ugly little failure it is, but i don’t want to have to throw it away, any suggestions?

if it got hot enough to melt, i'd imagine it's fine honestly. the only way to have known for sure though would have been if you stuck a thermometer in it right out of the oven to know what temp it got to.
what temp was the oven and how long was it in there?

350, for 20 minutes before I added the filling and then 25 minutes after I added the filling
Luckily my family still ate it, so I guess it wasn’t too bad

I honestly don't know what could have happened that would make crust and filling mix together. If you baked the crust first it shouldn't have been able to mix with much of anything. But basically what Inversereality said, if it's hot enough to melt then the eggs and flour are probably heated through and safe to eat.
Gluten free baking is rough tho. One of my siblings has Celiac disease so I bake a lot of things gf too and it's lead to some very interesting goof-ups.

I'm curious, but did you prebake the crust? And when you put the filling in, was the crust still hot & was the curd also hot?
