Roestar - Open || Camp
Roestar awoke in her den, slowly joining the waking world. As was the case with every morning, the coldness she felt was unexpected, without any warmth of a mate or kits. The time she'd spent in the nursery after her little was born had been pleasant - she didn't feel any extreme itch to return to her warrior duties like her own mother had. She'd only wanted to spend time with her kits, to watch them learn and grow and see the world. Her time with them had been cut too short, however, leaving her only with Russetpaw. If anything happened to her son, she didn't know what she'd do with herself.
Shaking the thoughts from her head, Roestar got to her paws and emerged from her den, blinking in the early morning sunlight. The morning was cold - a slap in the face that leaf-bare would be coming soon, sending prey into hiding and making life all the more difficult. With that group of rogues on the prowl, a starving clan was the last thing she needed. Roestar looked around, seeing that the camp looked to be mostly dead. Warriors would need to wake up soon, and then hopefully Dawnchill would start organizing patrols. When she'd first become leader, Roestar had been so used to organizing them herself that she'd had to be reminded to let the actual deputy take her place.
Moosekit with Snowheart || Camp
Moosekit woke up from the best dream. He had been playing with a giant bunny, and the bunny was his best friend, but he'd been woken up by someone shifting and he was not happy about it. He laid in his nest for a moment, pouting that he'd been woken up so early and that his amazing dream had been interrupted. Eventually, he got bored of pouting and not being noticed. With a yawn, he stood up and waddled out to the entrance of the nursery. The big kit looked around for someone to play with - or bother, more likely - and was surprised to see Snowheart so close to the nursery. His eyes widened when he saw her, and he grinned. "G'morning!" He called, happy that there was someone awake and nearby to pay attention to him.

Ashmask - Open || Frozen Lake
Ashmask had been having nightmares ever since the rogue attack. Sometimes they were worse than others, and the one he'd been experiencing last night had been particularly bad. In his sleep, he often relived the memory of his mother being killed, though not exactly as it had been. Last night had been horrible - before his mother died, she blamed him for her death, for not living up to her expecations. He had woken up in the middle of the night and run off, unable to get back to sleep.
His paws had brought him to the Frozen Lake. Ashmask thought it was a rather peaceful place. Sometimes the water was perfectly still, and it was like looking down into the sky. He enjoyed coming here when he needed some time to think. He breathed in the cold morning air, trying to clear his head. He'd likely do some hunting on the way back to camp so he at least wouldn't come back empty-pawed.
Thrushflight - Open || Camp
Thrushflight was - to be perfectly honest - awfully proud of herself. With the quickly approaching leaf-bare, she'd managed to find a piece of impressive prey during her sunrise hunt. A rather fat squirrel, probably gorging himself in preparation for leaf-bare, as Thrushflight was almost tempted to do. Instead of that, however, she decided to put her clan first and bring back the freshkill for the queens and elders. Sometimes she wondered what the point of that was - they weren't very useful in defending the camp, after all.
When she entered camp, she saw a few cats already awake. She nodded respectfully to Roestar, and her leader returned the gesture, though with not-completely-concealed surprise. That only caused Thrushflights' chest to swell in pride even more. She dropped the squirrel on the rather sad-looking freshkill pile, licking her lips and resisting the urge to dig in.
Tiny - Open || Rogue Camp
Tiny had found that his favorite place to sleep was a wooden crate. He was so large he had to squish himself a little bit to fit comfortably inside, but it offered warmth and protection from the wind, and it was his spot - he'd fight any cat that tried to take it without hesitation. He'd won that crate, fair and square, and he wasn't just going to give it up. He'd spent his time after waking up washing himself - his white pelt was prone to getting awfully dirty, and he wanted to look at least somewhat presentable. Now that his cleaning was done, he popped his head out over the edge of the crate, looking around the makeshift camp. Falcon and Lilac were both awake, but there didn't seem to be too much activity. With a grunt, Tiny jumped out of the crate, shaking out his pelt when he landed. Silently, he hoped that Falcon would have nothing to say to him.
Russetpaw with Frostrose || Spruce Forest
Russetpaw had seen his mentor leaving camp without even acknowledging him, and had gotten awfully curious. Frostrose might have come back for him later, but he still wanted to know what she might be doing. Plus, this would be an opportunity to show off how well he was learning to sneak around. He'd followed after her, glad that his mother wasn't awake yet, trailing after her as she'd gone hunting. He watched carefully, wincing as she lost a squirrel.
It took Russetpaw a moment to realize that the squirrel was running straight at him. After his brain realized, it took a moment for his paws to catch up, and he didn't pounce on the squirrel until it was right under his paws. He stumbled with it, rolling over, but keeping his claws dug in so it wouldn't get away. As soon as he found his footing, he bit down on the squirrel's neck, killing it. He dropped his kill and looked up to see that he'd landed right in front of Frostrose. He grinned sheepishly at her, avoiding eye contact. "Uh, funny running into you here, huh?"

Beetlepaw // in the medicine den // with Nightflower
Beetlepaw sifted through the dwindling herb collection stored among the tangled roots which formed the medicine cat's den. He could already feel the chill in the air as leaf-bare approached, and shuddered at the thought of the snowstorms it would likely bring. Greencough was almost a certainty - but, he realized with a jolt as he searched the neat piles of herbs, there was only one minuscule sprig of catmint left in the store. It was already wilting, losing its healing properties.
That's not good, he thought worriedly, making a mental note to tell Nightflower once she woke up. Beetlepaw's gaze shifted to the calico shape still curled in her nest, flanks rising and falling softly. His mentor hadn't asked him to take stock of the herbs, but he thought he'd let her sleep in while he took care of things for once. Turning back to the herbs, he listed the ones they were low on. Juniper berries, coltsfoot, marigold, catmint... They could easily be found in the surrounding forests, all except catmint. He recalled how Nightflower had told him the precious herb couldn't be found in PineClan's territory - it was only grown in the Twolegplace beyond their land, near the Wasted Scar. The journey would almost certainly require a warrior escort to keep them safe from the Rogue Group. Beetlepaw felt his fur stand on end at the thought, but he knew that without catmint, some of the Clan might not survive the coming cold weather.

Snowheart with Moosekit--{Camp near nursery} Snowheart let out a purr, that rumbled through her body as she watched the thick fur of Moosekit, appearing out of the nursery. Her heart swelled as she saw the little kit. She admired the curious little kit and his urge to learn new things and help others. She stiffled another purr, as her gaze fell on his large paws, thinking of the incredible warrior he would become one day, when growing into his own body. She waved her tail at him, beckoning him closer to her when he addressed her. "Good morning, Moosekit. Did you sleep well.? Are you the only one awake.?"
Frostrose with Russetpaw--{Spruce forest}Frostrose, startled, glared at her apprentice. She opened her mouth to speak, but nothing came out. Her fur started to fluff up along her spine, her tail bristling with frustration and embarrassment. Frustrated that her apprentice had followed her. Embarrassed that he had watched her miss the squirrel that she had tried to catch. She stifled a sigh, lowering her head to lick her chest, before raising her head to rest her piercing ice-blue eyes on Russetpaw. She couldn't help but feel a little proud of her apprentice, at the way he was able to sneak after her, and then recover her squirrel. Finally, she spoke, her voice low and questioning. "Russetpaw..What are you doing out here all by yourself.? And why were you following me.? What would Roestar say if she found out you had left the camp alone." She paused before speaking more gently, pride flashing in her eyes. "You're learning well. You not only followed me, without getting caught. But you recovered the squirrel that I lost. Now you just have to learn not to be so curious. That's how you get into trouble." With a playful glint to her eyes, she swung a paw at his head, going to cuff him over the ear.

Nightflower with Beetlepaw--{Medicine cats den} Nightflower shifted in her nest, her long tail, curled over her face. She closed her eyes tighter, stifling a groan. She had spent most of her night, restless and pacing quietly. She had done her best not to bother her apprentice. She was aware that she had to get up, she had duties to attend to. She curled herself into a tighter ball, holding on to the warmth she felt, before finally stretching herself out. She sat up, turning to give herself a thorough wash, her right her swiveled towards her apprentice. She could hear him sifting through the herbs in the den. After making sure that her long fur was shiny and kept, she stood, stretching her legs. Finally, she made her way towards Beetlepaw, she gave an approving nod to the white and ginger tom, sitting down beside him. "Good morning. You could have woke me up. I would have gladly helped you. What are we low on.?" She was very impressed with her apprentice. He was always willing to make life easier for his clanmates, and that never went unnoticed by her. She knew that he would become an amazing medicine cat.

Moosekit with Snowheart || Camp
Moosekit moved to sit down next to Snowheart - the way he sat was more of a clumsy plopping down next to her, but it was slightly endearing. He nodded enthusiastically as she spoke to him. "I was having the best dream! But then someone woke me up and they're all still asleep and there was no one to play with," he rambled. As he spoke to Snowheart, his attention was caught by a pinecone blowing across camp, and he turned towards it, staring at it intently. He forced his eyes off of the pinecone and back to Snowheart. "Anyway, you're awake so that means I can play with you."
Russetpaw with Frostrose || Spruce Forest
Russetpaw smiled as Frostrose's scolding turned to praise. He admired his mentor greatly, and he was more than happy to know that she was proud of him. When she cuffed him over the ear, he over-exaggerated it, falling dramatically to the ground as if she'd struck him as hard as he could. He laid on the ground, rolling in mock pain. "Someone get Nightflower," he groaned, "I don't know if I'll make it." He fell limp, closing his eyes as if he'd died - though he couldn't help but open one slightly to see Frostrose's reaction to his little game of make-believe.

Swiftfox // at the Frozen Lake // with Ashmask
The breeze ruffled his fur as Swiftfox trotted between the trees, a vole hanging from his jaws. The smell was incredibly tempting, but he recalled the last time he'd been caught eating prey before feeding the Clan. Long story short - it wasn't pretty. Roestar had sentenced him to apprentice duties again for a quarter moon, even though he'd been made a warrior the day before! Swiftfox shook his head free of the memory and snorted, focusing on heading back to camp with his catch. He glimpsed the Frozen Lake through the trees, the dawn light casting a pink glow on the still waters.
Swiftfox narrowed his eyes. A silvery shape sat at the water's edge staring out across the lake. Swiftfox changed his course, recognizing as he neared the silhouette that it was his Clanmate, Ashmask. The tom sat perfectly still, as if a statue. Swiftfox halted at the tree line and spat out his fresh-kill. "Hey! What are you doing out here so early?"
Brightberry // in the nursery // with Moosekit, Larchkit, and SnowheartDim rays of sunlight slanted through the ceiling of the nursery and woke Brightberry from her restless sleep. She blinked open her eyes, trying to flush out the lingering tiredness which clouded her gaze. She glanced down at her flank, seeing the small brown kit nestled at her side. Larchkit, she thought sleepily, a sliver of joy spreading through her fur. Then panic. Her eyes flew wide open and she looked wildly around the den. Where is Moosekit? The crumpled bracken where he usually slept by her belly was still warm and full of his scent, so he had to be nearby. Gently, but swiftly, Brightberry moved Larchkit aside and got to her paws. She checked each corner of the nursery, but with no luck, stuck her head outside. She was just about ready to wake the whole camp with a yowl when she saw her son sitting next to Snowheart, who lay outside the nursery. The panic coursing through her was immediately replaced by suspicion, and she stomped over to Moosekit. She fixed Snowheart with a hard glare, then turned to Moosekit. "Just what do you think you're doing?" she demanded him. "It's dangerous to be out here by yourself, you know that."highprince and β₯ππ―π¬π°π±βπ¬π°π’β₯
Breeze // in the Rogue Camp // open
Breeze stalked out from behind a patch of ferns, stretching her legs as she woke up. She stared in disgust, not for the first time, at the clearing of the camp, littered with Twoleg things and half-eaten crowfood tossed aside. She knew they were rogues, but did they really have to live in such conditions? Before long some cat was bound to get sick from the crowfood they stole from Twolegs, and then what would they do. Yet Falcon stood tall in the middle of the camp, seeming proud of his efforts.
Breeze shook her head, and quietly walked around the outskirts of the camp to a weak patch of sunshine. She sat back on her haunches, licking a paw and lifting it to her ears to wash, deep in thought. If only she were in charge...

Snowheart with Moosekit--{In camp}
Snowheart let her eyes follow his, drifting to the pinecone. She stifled a purr, and shifted herself on to her paws, crouching. She was about to jump for the pinecone when she caught a glimpse of Brightberry. Her heart sank when the queen stomped her way over to her and gave her a glare. She flattened her ears slightly and her tail started to bristle as she confronted the queen. "He wasn't alone. He was out here with me. I wouldn't let anything happen to him." Her gaze fell on to Moosekit and she forced her fur to flatten and her ears to raise up, not wanting the kit to see her so angry. She lifted her head higher and stated quietly. "I was just about to keep him busy and play with him. I was just trying to let you rest a little longer." @fallownose highprince
Frostrose with Russetpaw--{Spruce Forest}Frostrose stifled laughter as she watched Russetpaw tumble around, pretending to be hurt. She rolled her eyes and jabbed him with her black paw before leaning closer to him, her eyes widening in mock horror. "Oh no, Russetpaw. I don't know if I'll make it back to camp in time to get Nightflower. Whatever shall I do.?" She frantically looked around, searching for something that would help her apprentice, before busting out laughing and nudging him. "Alright, Alright. Enough play. We should probably get this prey back to camp. Unless you would like to hunt some more.?" She was quite fond of her apprentice. Though she worried at points, knowing how protective his mother was of him. She knew she would do everything in her power to protect the young cat so he didn't recieve the same fate as his siblings.

Lilac [Open]--{Great Pine}
Lilac sat in a massive pine tree, hiding her body against the trunk, a few branches up, gaze watching the forest around her. The small black she-cat had wondered onto Pineclan territory more than once in the last moon. She was quite curious about the clan cats, but had yet to come into contact with one of them. She had been watching the clan cats and their rivals, for about a moon now. She was aware that there had been a battle and a lot of bloodshed and heartache. Part of her was quite timid at the thought of living the life that they did, but she knew that she would have a hard time living as the rogues did. She couldnt imagine living among twoleg filthe and begging for food and scraps. She shuddered, disgusted by the thought of being near a twoleg. Her thoughts wondered to her mother, who lived as a kittypet and a growl rumbled deep in her chest. She quickly cut it off, aware that she was on clan territory and hoped no cat was around to hear her. How would she explain herself and why she was watching them.?
Falcon [Open]--{Rogue camp}
Falcon leaped down from the large rock he was sitting on, aware that his cats were beginning to emerge from their dens. He flicked his tail towards Tiny. Acknowledging his presence in the camp. His gaze then moved towards Breeze, watching the small grey tabby walk to the outskirts of the camp. His ears pricked as he narrowed his eyes towards her. He took a step towards her, as to spike a conversation with her, then shook his head and sat back down. He gazed around his camp, his eyes still narrowed. He still wondered how to better his camp and his campmates. He wished he could give them better living quarters, but what else could they do, when Pineclan had cast them out to the worst part of the land.

D a w n c h i l l in camp || with Roestar β£ Laying in her nest, letting her head rest thoughtfully on her paws, Dawnchill has her amber eyes locked on the entrance to the den, watching the light filter in softly through the pine needles. She hadn't quite motivated herself into getting up, though usually she didn't linger in the nest most mornings. The evening before she had been helping the mentors run battle drills and the deputy didn't want to admit it but she felt a tad sore this morning. Her nest was warm, placed advantageously between her brother and father. Still, with a sigh, the molly figured she shouldn't spend all morning hiding away. Though it physically pained her to do so, the golden feline lifted herself to her paws arching her back in a long stretch. Her bulk made it hard to wiggle out of the den without brushing against her den-mates but she definitely avoided stepping on any tails. The bleak sunlight lingered on her pelt, giving little warmth. Fluffing her fur up a bit in defense against the morning breeze, the molly spotted Roestar pretty quickly, locating her calico pelt with ease. Dawnchil didn't hesitate to make her way over to their leader, her head tilted downwards in a nod of greeting. "Good morning, Roestar. Should I get patrols going?" the she-cat dove right in, having no use for small talk. N e t t l e s k y returning to camp || open β£ Nettlesky often could not sleep in the warriors den. He would lie there, awake for hours, listening to his clan-mates doze around him while being perfectly awake. Then, the moment his eyes dared to drift closed, he was back there. His brother's blood covered his paws, his mother's blank eyes stared into his soul, and Berrypaw's endless screams echoed in his ears. Exhausted and trembling with grief and terror, he would stumble from the den and out of camp, all the way to the caves. He didn't care if it was technically forbidden to enter. There were some nights he just could not rest until he fell at the graves of his family, curled tightly into a ball, wailing into the nothingness that surrounded him. He'd woken up this morning before dawn, his body and heart worn. Blue eyes dull, he'd climbed from the caves, not even casting a glance around at his surroundings as he began to head back to camp. If he was in a right mindset, he'd try hunting but he wasn't up for it this morning. At least not yet. He had until he arrived at camp to try and pull himself together. He certainly wasn't the only one who'd lost loved ones to rogues.
E l k p a w in camp || open β£ The tom shook himself firmly, annoyed that he'd somehow managed to get a clump of moss stuck in the back of his neck fur, just where he couldn't reach it. He could feel it resting heavily there against his pelt, as irritating as ants crawling over his pelt. Elkpaw huffed, marching outside the apprentice's den, trying to ignore the moss and just move on with his day. He'd already spent enough of his time twisting and stretching his neck and back to try and reach the thing, ruining his otherwise peaceful morning. The older apprentice had woken up when Russetpaw had wandered out of the den, curious as to where the dark ginger tom was off to. Elkpaw had shifted in his nest, ready to go after the other tom, when he realized what a mess his fur had become. His coat was nice for when the cold came but otherwise too much of a hassle to the practical minded feline. His yellow eyes slipped around camp, lingering on Thrushflight and the prey pile. His stomach ached dully but the apprentice was determined to ignore it, like most of the warriors did this early in the morning. It was nearing leaf-bare after all.
L a r c h k i t in camp || open, mentions Brightberry & Moosekit β£ A soft yawn left the small brown patched kitten as she rolled over in the nest, nuzzling closer to her mother for the warmth she offered. The thick fur of her brother had already disappeared, which had already left the molly shivering as she lost the comforting heat that Moosekit gave off. She still felt tired but her senses were quickly beginning to come back to her, as she heard the faint sound of voices from just outside the nursery. Her bright green eyes peaked open slowly, adjusting to the dim light of the nursery. She turned her sleepy gaze on Brightberry, purring softly and pressing her cheek against her mother's chest. The soft thud of the queen's heartbeat echoed in Larchkit's ear, sending waves of contentment rolling through her. Morning was her favorite time of day, so peaceful and quiet. Then her mother suddenly jerked upright in the nest, clearly alarmed by something. With wide eyes, she blinked up at her mother and ducked her head as she was moved gently to the side. Then Brightberry began searching the nursery and the kitten made the deduction that she was looking for her litter mate. Larchkit had noticed that Moosekit was gone, but she assumed the voice outside the den was his and wasn't too worried. He was a brave cat after all, much more so than herself. Not wanting to be left behind, the brown kit clumsily got to her paws and tripped after her mother, peeking out of the nursery at the commotion.
H a i l in rogue camp || with Breeze β£ Laying in a warmer patch of sunlight, the tom was curled upon a seared rock, his pale fur shining in the harsh light. He didn't mind a bit, purring loudly as his claws kneaded carefully into the stone beneath his paws. His icy blue eyes were slits, barely open as he gazed out at the horizon. Hail wouldn't move the whole rest of the day if he could. The breeze carried the scent of Falcon towards him and the tom stiffened a bit, trying to ignore his leader's presence. Maybe if he pretended he was somewhere far away the older tom would leave him alone about getting up off his bum. A shuffling near him perked his ears and he turned his head to his sister trying to find a warm place to groom herself. "Breeze! Come sunbathe with me, it's warmer up here," he called, careful to keep his voice quiet, unwilling to draw unwanted attention. He grinned playfully at his sister, whisking his tail behind him at her serious demeanor.

B i r d white waterfall || open β£ A flash of silver caught her eye and Bird darted a quick paw forward, her claws snagging in the slick scales of the trout. She scooped the fish out of the water, angling the fish onto the bank beside her. Wiggling her haunches a bit, the molly grinned before leaping at the prey and ending it's life swiftly. While others in the group were content with food from trashcans, the black and gray mottled feline had always preferred fresh prey. Her mother had taught her to fish in a pond in her old home. A tinge of sadness rushed through as memories of afternoons spent splashing through the water with her mother played through her mind. Shaking herself, the molly settled back on her haunches, wrapping her tail close to her body before digging into her breakfast.

Breeze // in the Rogue Camp // with Hail
Breeze pricked her ears at her brother's call, looking up from her washing to see Hail sprawled out on a flat rock. Sometimes her brother's laziness annoyed Breeze, but he did look quite comfortable, and it did indeed look warmer on the rock. Seeing his goofy grin, she rolled her eyes, unable to help a small smile. She climbed lightly up beside him, stretching out on the warm surface and letting the sun soak into her tabby fur. Glancing over at him, she saw his perfectly content expression. "You realize we can't lay here all day?" she asked, flicking her tail in mock annoyance. "Someone is bound to get on our case. If not Mother, then probably Falcon." Without waiting for his reply, Breeze tilted her head thoughtfully. "I know a great place for squirrels out by the waterfall. I must've seen at least three while fishing the other day."

Brightberry // in the clearing // with Moosekit, Larchkit, and Snowheart
Brightberry felt her tail bristle slightly at Snowheart's response. Like I would trust you, she thought indignantly, after you abandoned our Clan! The sound of Larchkit stepping out of her nest made Brightberry look around. The kit's clear, innocent gaze seemed to pierce Brightberry's fur, and she forced herself to relax.
She turned back to Snowheart and managed to speak levelly. "Thank you for watching over Moosekit, but I can take care of him now. Come along, sweet," she said, beckoning to Moosekit with her tail. "You and Larchkit pick out a piece of fresh-kill to share, and then let's begin some more battle practice. You were just getting the hang of the swipe-and-duck yesterday."
Keeping a close eye on her kits, she sat at the nursery entrance, wrapping her creamy tail neatly over her paws.

Nightflower with Beetlepaw--{In Medicine Cats Den}
Nightflower's ears twitched slightly, her heart sinking with the question of the catmint. She was unaware of any other place that catmint would be growing, besides Twolegplace. In her moons of training as a medicine cat, and then becoming the medicine cat of her clan, she had yet to find one. Though her ancestors know, she's searched. With a sigh, and letting her head droop a little, she gave it a little shake. "The only place I know of, is in Twolegplace. I don't believe that will go over well with Roestar.." She gazed down at their herb supply and then looked over at her apprentice, searching his wide blue eyes. Lowering her voice, she spoke again. "We'll have to convince Roestar. If she doesn't agree, and give us an escort...I'll go alone to Twolegplace. I know I can get there. I have to. Whatever would we do in the dead of leaf-bare, and cases of greencough come. Starclan knows, we can't afford anymore losses." Her thoughts traveled to her mentor, Rosethorn and her mother, Duskmeadow. Both who had been lost in the battle with the rogues. Her chest tightened, and a soft whimper escaped her lips. She often thought of them, and the thought of losing anyone else, scared her.

Snowheart [Open]--{Near the nursery.}
Snowheart's heart sank as she watched Brightberry walk away, beckoning to her kits. She sat back on her haunches, fur ruffled from the encounter with the queen. She tried to understand the queens frustration, but it just agitated her more. She looked down at her stomach, well aware that she was starting to become noticeably bigger. It wouldn't be long before someone confronted her about it. Suddenly, the thought of bringing kits into this clan, worried her. What if the clan wouldn't accept them.? What if they cast her out.? Where would she go.? Shaking her head softly, a loud sigh escaped her. She understood her clans doubts when it came to her, but all she wanted was to be accepted. Her deep blue eyes traveled to Brightberry, and then quickly dropped to her paws. What would the queen think when she was forced to share a den with her.? It wouldn't be long before she could move into the nursery.

( here are my other two cats. I'll get some replies up soon ^^ ) Stormchaser || Tom || 35 moons || Warrior A black smoke tabby with blue eyes. Stormchaser is a tall, long-legged cat with a lean, athletic body. He has long, smokey grey fur with black stripes and a feathered tail. His eyes are a stunning shade of blue. He often has a serious expression on his face. || Stormchaser was very different when he was younger. For one thing, he was much smaller, an easy target for teasing by other cats his age. Determined to prove them wrong, he threw himself into his apprentice training. He dreamed of becoming the best warrior he could be and worked tirelessly to get there. Stubborn and recklessly brave, he brushed off pitying glances or offers of help. By the time he got his warrior name, he'd gone through a sudden growth spurt, effectively silencing the skeptics. For awhile, he was idealistic and excited about what the future held. But when the rogues attacked, he was one of the few who saw Roestar's kits murdered. He witnessed his mother die brutally trying to defend them, her sacrifice in vain. The traumatic event has stuck with him, overshadowing his once-hopeful nature with cynicism. Reserved and decidedly pessimistic, Stormchaser has withdrawn from his Clanmates, afraid of growing close to anybody lest he suddenly lose them. Though he's outwardly grumpy and snarky, it's a defensive facade he puts on to discourage others from getting too close to him. He actually cares deeply about his Clanmates and has a soft spot for kits, but he won't admit it. Blaming himself for his mother's death, he insists that his only redeeming qualities are his work ethic and high tolerance for pain, and believes himself to be a burden on the Clan. || Stormchaser's mother, Rainfall, fell for an older warrior when she was still quite young. Her mate must've seen their relationship as a fling and nothing more, because he didn't stick around when his son was born. Because Stormchaser didn't know his father (and frankly doesn't care to) and had no siblings in his litter, he was a total momma's boy. He was devastated by her death and the death of the kits she was trying to protect, and he hasn't been the same since. || Open to an unknown father & available for other relationships!
{ Tealraven }
Lynx || She-cat || 29 moons || Rogue A fluffy blue lynx point with pale blue eyes. Lynx is a pretty siamese cat with cotton-white fur and blue-grey colorpoint markings on her face, paws, and tail. She's small and lightweight, with the delicate paws and fine features characteristic of her breed. Her eyes are pale blue. || Lynx both looks and acts younger than she is. Outgoing and friendly, she loves to socialize and meet new cats. She's relentlessly optimistic and tries to see the good in everyone, even if there is none to be found. Her cheerful enthusiasm ranges from infectious to irritating. Talking comes as naturally to her as breathing, and she has no problem adapting quickly to new situations. She's actually cleverer than you would think after just meeting her. Though she seems airheaded and naive, Lynx has an unsettling way of focusing her hyperactive energy into thorn-sharp precision, making her a potentially lethal adversary and a little unpredictable. There might be more to her than meets the eye, but it's hard to tell. She's adept at avoiding probing questions and smoothly changing the subject, switching casually from making surprising observations to cracking jokes in a heartbeat. Perhaps as she matures she will become less restless and evasive, and some of these habits will settle into a more sensible pattern. || It's likely that Lynx was once a kittypet; she seems to have a more extensive knowledge of Twolegs than most cats. But for whatever reason -- probably boredom -- she left that life behind and ended up joining the rogues. She met them after the attack on PineClan, so she has no clue about the blood on their paws. She knows that something's up, but she hasn't mentioned it and nobody has told her. There's no way of knowing how she'd react, and her loyalties are bit unclear. She only found out about the Clan recently, and seems intrigued by their way of life. || Open to any kind of relationships. Maybe a forbidden romance?

Timberheart | In Camp with Brightberry, Moosekit & Larchkit // little blu β₯ & @fallownose & highprince Blinking slowly, Timberheart stepped out of the warriors den and into a ray of bright morning sunlight. He paused to give his eyes time to adjust, yawning and arching his back in a luxurious stretch. The air had a nip in it today. He shivered and fluffed his fur up against the chill, breathing in the clear, crisp scents of leaf-fall. The grass around him glittered with a fine layer of frost, and he remembered with an unpleasant pang how close they were to the turning of the season.
His eyes instinctively fell upon the nursery. He'd been worried about having kits so close to leaf-bare; he didn't think he could bear it if they survived the rogue attack only to succumb to the coming bitter cold. Shaking the sleep from his limbs, Timberheart padded over to greet Larchkit, who sat in the entrance to the nursery, peering curiously out at the world. "Good morning, love," he mewed, stopping to give her forehead a lick. He poked his head into the nursery, but it was empty. "Brightberry? Moosekit?"
He glanced back at his daughter, confused. "Larchkit, where did Mommy and Moosekit go?" He lifted his head as pawsteps approached and caught sight of Brightberry hurrying toward him with a puzzled Moosekit in tow, a stormy expression on her face. Behind her sat Snowheart, looking rather disturbed. Oh dear. "Brightberry," he asked, his tone cautious but gentle, "what's happened?"

Brightberry // in the clearing // with Moosekit, Larchkit, and Timberheart
As soon as she saw Timberheart's knowing face, Brightberry knew she'd gone too far. She flicked her tail in an effort to look at ease. "Nothing's happened," she mewed, walking up to meet him and touching her nose to his. Well, that's not entirely true, she thought, feeling a bit ashamed. "I'm just looking out for Moosekit, that's all." She smiled down at her son, hoping he saw it the same way. "There was no need for you to go bothering Snowheart, dear," Brightberry told him, crouching down so that she was level with Moosekit. "Go with Larchkit to pick out some fresh-kill so Mommy and Daddy can talk, okay? Then we'll do some battle practice."

Beetlepaw // in the medicine den, then camp clearing // open
A sense of dread washed over Beetlepaw as his mentor confirmed his worries. But Nightflower can't go by herself, he thought. What if the rogues attacked her? What if... what if she dies on the journey? He was still moons away from completing his training - without an experienced medicine cat like Nightflower, the Clan would be in deep trouble.
But Beetlepaw simply nodded and, seeing the faraway look in Nightflower's eyes, left his mentor to her thoughts as he exited the medicine den. The clearing was only just beginning to warm up as the sun rose on the horizon. Beetlepaw took in his surroundings as the Clan slowly woke up. Roestar stood with Dawnchill, likely organizing patrols; Snowheart lay outside the nursery; and Timberheart and Brightberry stood with their kits in the clearing. It seemed like such a peaceful scene, but Beetlepaw couldn't help wondering how the coming leaf-bare would impact their Clan. As if in response, a chilly breeze whistled through the trees above, piercing Beetlepaw's thick fur.

Timberheart | In Camp with Brightberry, Moosekit & Larchkit // little blu β₯ & @fallownose & highprince Timberheart waited until the kits were safely out of earshot, watching them go fondly. Then he turned to face Brightberry and his smile saddened a little. "Battle practice?" he echoed. "Isn't it a little early for them to be learning how to hurt other cats?" He shook his head. Moosekit and Larchkit would be apprentices in two moons, and then their futures would be in the paws of their mentors. As excited as he was to watch them grow and learn, he saw no need to hurry them along; they were growing fast enough as it was. "They're kits, love," he mewed to Brightberry. "Let them stay young for awhile longer. They'll be training before we know it."

Brightberry // in camp // with Timberheart, Moosekit, and Larchkit
"I know, but..." Brightberry's voice trailed off as she sat down next to her mate, pressing into his side and feeling the warmth in his fur. "What if the rogues attack again? Before they're apprentices?" She closed her eyes, images flashing as she remembered the ambush and the devastation it brought. She could still smell the stench of blood, see the lifeless bodies lying on the ground, hear the screams of the victims. But most of all, she remembered seeing Roestar's kits brutally murdered as she was cornered by rogues on the other side of the camp, helpless to do anything but watch. Brightberry had learned that she was carrying kits herself only a few days later, and in that moment she knew she would do anything to protect them from a similar fate. "I just want them to be safe," she murmured to Timberheart. "More than anything."

Ashmask with Swiftfox || Frozen Lake
Ashmask jumped as another cat spoke, startling him out of his thoughts. He turned towards the source, fur standing on end, ready to face a rogue - only to see Swiftfox standing there. He sighed, letting his fur lie flat again. Well, that was embarrassing, he thought, not even able to think of a way to play it off. Instead, he just resorted to answering the question Swiftfox had asked him.
"I just come out here to think," he answered, turning away from his clanmate and looking back out towards the water. It was so peaceful in the mornings, away from the hubbub of camp. I don't suppose you can relate to that, he thought, though he kept his mouth shut. "What brings you to my peaceful little corner?"
@fallownose
Russetpaw with Frostrose || Spruce Forest
Russetpaw got to his paws at Frostrose's nudging, shaking dead needles out of his pelt. He grinned up at his mentor, happy that she didn't mind having fun sometimes. He knew some mentors could be absolute sticks in the mud. "Can we stay out some more? I like being out of camp," Russetpaw pleaded, before his eyes lit up as another idea bounced through his head, "or we could go back to camp and get Elkpaw? Do you think Timberheart would mind if I trained with him? He's very good to train with," the young apprentice rambled, left gasping for breath as he hadn't given himself a pause.

Moosekit with Larchkit, Timberheart, and Brightberry || Camp
Moosekit didn't understand why his mother didn't want him to play with Snowheart. She was so nice, and she was just about to play with him! His anger seemingly melted away when she offered to do battle practice with them. "Battle!" He cheered, jumping excitedly, "I love to play battle!"
He nodded as Brightberry gave him and Larchkit a mission - it was very important that he picked out good fresh-kill for his parents. "Come on, Larchkit," he ordered, "we need to get the very best fresh-kill ever."

Roestar with Dawnchill || Camp
Roestar smiled as her deputy approached her, returning the nod. While she hadn't been deputy for very long, she was already filling the position well - Roestar hadn't had any doubts about her, but it was nice to see that she was stepping up. "Yes, we should get them out soon. Better to start early and get them home," she said, looking around camp to see who was up. "If you will, please consider who's been more....sympathetic towards rogues? There needs to be at least one cat that knows how to put their foot down if there's anyone on our territory." Maybe she was a bit harsh, but Roestar had already lost too much to these rogues - she wasn't about to let them take more.

Swiftfox // at the Frozen Lake // with Ashmask
Swiftfox flicked his ears, amused to see Ashmask caught so off guard. "Oh, nothing much," he replied. "Just out for a little early morning hunting, y'know?" Swiftfox prodded the vole lying at his paws, trying to seem as nonchalant and truthful as possible. The vole was obviously an excuse for anyone who asked. Truth be told, Swiftfox had been exploring the edges of the territory by the Wasted Scar, sniffing around for any excitement or adventure. Clan life was too routine, too boring. He wanted to shake things up a bit. The eerie silence and alien landscape of the Wasted Scar were simply begging to be explored. Besides, what use was that part of PineClan territory if no cat ever went there?
"Well, I ought to be heading back," Swiftfox called. "Enjoy your... er... thinking." He picked the vole back up in his jaws and trotted away toward the camp. Ducking through the entrance, he emerged into the clearing and dropped his catch on the fresh-kill pile. He looked up to see Moosekit and Larchkit bounding toward the pile with purpose. Perhaps they'll choose my expertly caught vole, he thought proudly, stalking away to the warriors den, smiling at the idea of a long nap after his morning exploits.

Timberheart | In Camp with Brightberry, Moosekit & Larchkit // @fallownose
Timberheart rested his cheek lightly against Brightberry's forehead as she leaned into him. "Then we'll be ready for them," he replied firmly. "We know the rogues are out there now. They won't catch us by surprise again."
Roestar, especially, had been on high alert since the attack, and he couldn't blame her. Everyone was on edge. The memory of the battle was still fresh in his mind: the metallic scent of blood, the sound of fighting cats howling and screeching, his own heartbeat pounding in his ear fur. He'd never been one to enjoy combat, but that battle had brought something out in him he hadn't known was there. And it scared him. The rogue's face, contorted with fear and pain as Timberheart drove his claws into her throat, still haunted him. He cringed with guilt every time he remembered it.
The battle is over, he reminded himself. What's done is done. Focus on what's important now. He managed to bring himself back to the present, taking comfort in Brightberry's warmth and the sight of Moosekit and Larchkit scampering playfully toward the freshkill pile. "I want them to be safe, too. And between you, me, and the rest of our Clan, I think they will be." He sighed thoughtfully. "But I suppose, if they enjoy battle practice..."
Stormchaser | In Camp with Snowheart // β₯ππ―π¬π°π±βπ¬π°π’β₯ Stormchaser was one of the last cats to emerge from the warriors' den, squinting against the sunlight. He wasn't a fan of mornings. He used to make a special effort to push himself out of his nest at the crack of dawn to get an early start on his work for the day - he was nothing if not tenacious. But these days, he found it hard to summon any motivation to so much as go to the dirtplace. Sometimes just being awake was difficult; ever since his mother died fighting the rogues, he'd felt numb and exhausted all the time even when he got plenty of sleep.
But if he let himself be idle for too long, the memories came flooding back. So he returned to doing what he did best, which was finding ways to busy himself and be productive for his Clan. He tried to converse with his Clanmates, too, but small talk had never come easy to him. At least it was a welcome distraction. He lifted his head, noticing Snowheart sitting all by herself near the nursery and looking put out.
"Good morning," he called gruffly, padding over to her. He tried to position himself so it looked like he was on his way to the freshkill pile, and was just pausing to say hello out of courtesy rather than to make conversation. He acknowledged her with an awkward head nod. "How goes it?"
Lynx | White Waterfall with Bird // little blu β₯ "A-ha!" The molly cried triumphantly, leaping through the reeds at the water's edge and pouncing on Bird's tail. "It's morning, Bird!" she sang. "Isn't that great?" She stepped to the side and sat down not far from the other rogue, curling her tail over her paws and grinning ridiculously. She flicked her ears forward, noticing the fish at Bird's paws. "Wow, did you catch that? I wish I could fish, but they're just too darn quick for me! Last time I missed completely and toppled right into the water." She shuddered dramatically, fluffing out her fur and giving herself a quick shake as though she were still wet, then laughed. "Maybe you could give me some pointers some time, huh?"
