Will do :0 )
Duskhound -- dawn patrol The she-cat was starting to think her brother had the right idea. The sounds were eerie, but unmoving. If they were going to get any closer they'd need more cats. And preferably cats that hadn't been up as long as their patrol. She nodded and turned to Grimwolf with a grin "We can head back. Midnightstar will want to hear about this!" she was planning on coming back with the next patrol though.
Bleakpaw -- in camp Bleakpaw made a face, but it was hard to read the expression due to her usually mimetic muscles "Indeed." she answered simply. No matter what Crimsonfeather said, Bleakpaw would likely always worry about things and be distrustful. Her ears flicked as a very faint sound came from the territory. She guessed the Dawn Patrol was dealing with something?

Palethorn - near camp / Pumpkinpatch
"Can't help much with the silver," the vampire said with a shrug. She turned towards Pumpkinpatch, her red eyes a mark of the curse. Palethorn envied the rest of the Clan, able to use silvered weapons with ease. She had tried, once, but the metal burned as if she had touched the sun, her paw raw for days. "It's alright, there's always something more to do in camp."

G r i m w o l f dawn patrol || with Duskhound ➣ A sense of relief washed over Grimwolf when his sister finally agreed to report back to camp, at least she would be safer there. Shaking himself and allowing his fur to lie flat, the tom turned and began the trek back towards the path that would lead them to Little Rush River. "It's too early in the morning for this," the tom grumbled, his amber eyes narrowed in agitation. The wails had quieted down behind them, barely reaching his ears especially since he'd let his senses dull back to that of a regular feline. He wasn't in the mood for a headache from over-using his gift.
C r i m s o n f e a t h e r in camp || with Bleakpaw ➣ Crimsonfeather held back a sigh, knowing that her words hadn't had much impact on the younger molly. There was only so much words could do, hopefully Bleakpaw would learn that lesson before her anxieties took over her life. Her own ears perked at the distant sound but it quickly faded, causing the vampire a bit of confusion. "Hm, wonder what made that..." she spoke aloud, though whether it was directed at Bleakpaw or not was unclear. Her nose twitched as she caught the scent of Palethorn coming from the entrance, causing her to worry briefly about her sister's safety.
P u m p k i n p a t c h near camp || with Palethorn ➣ Stupid. The molly mentally scolded herself, wincing outwardly. Of course the vampire wouldn't be able to help with silver. Pumpkinpatch seemed to collapse further into herself in embarrassment her ears on fire. Why did she bother speaking at all? "I'm so sorry! I wasn't thinking!" she squeaked out, nearly shaking with anxiety over her social failure. "I just said the first thing... Oh, Palethorn..." the patched exorcist was very clearly in distress. She placed a paw over her eyes, knowing she couldn't bare to look at her clan mate. Vampires could get serious burns from silver, which were obviously painful. What if Palethorn thought she meant her any harm? Oh StarClan!

Duskhound -- dawn patrol "Come on now, we all need a bit of adventure in our lives. Who knows, maybe it's something that's not dangerous." Duskhound chirped, following alongside her brother. Of course it was dangerous, but at the very least she could dream. Most things were dangerous. Especially if they were within the Forbidden Shrine "Well, even if it is dangerous it should put up a good fight." she flexed her claws and picked up her pace. The sooner they got order from Midnightstar the better.
Bleakpaw -- in camp An eerie feeling washed over Bleakpaws pelt and she shook herself. Whatever it was it wasn't good. The private wasn't a warlock or a hybrid, but she was a good exorcist candidate. Her sense of danger was unmatched. Though, all that really did was make her paranoid. Good and bad came from it it seemed. She wondered if the dawn patrol would be back soon.

G r i m w o l f dawn patrol || with Duskhound ➣ The mercenary couldn't resist a snort at that, shaking his head at his sister's excitement over a new adventure. He couldn't really fault her there, or even for the need of a good fight, seeing as the slower season was coming to a close. "Adventure my butt. I hope it's something we know how to kill," he scowled at the thought of the clan being up against the unknown. There was danger there that had his hackles nearly rising. Grimwolf was an esteemed fighter within the clan and his high pain tolerance allowed him to keep fighting long after most would quit. He and Duskhound were quite the fighting pair when they hunted together, that was for sure. Still, he'd rather not fight blind. That sent his skin crawling almost as bad as water always did. Speaking of water, they were finally coming across Little Rush River. "Let's jump across here," he nodded with his head towards an extremely narrow part of the running water. Thank StarClan they were almost home.

Hmmm, I can't think of anything. Maybe make him come out for a meal or something? Or if it's hard to rp with him maybe make another character who's a bit more social?)
Duskhound -- dawn patrol "The shrine is very unusual. I wouldn't be surprised if we didn't know what it was." Duskhound said before she charged the river and leapt over it with relative ease. Her back paws splashed in the chilly water and and she shook out her long fur. The silver on her claws clicked on the stones around the waters edge and she urged her brother to hurry. The camp would soon be in sight.

( Sorry everyone. c:Jekyll fell free to make another character if you want! ^^ )Grimwolf with Duskhound // dawn patrol ★★☾★★
The scarred tom watched as his sister crossed the stream, nearly flinching when her hind legs landed in the water. He thought about what his sister had mentioned, admitted to himself that she wasn't necessarily wrong. There could be any number of unknown creatures in the Forbidden Shrine, since it was dangerous for cats to enter.
Leaping after Duskhound, he luckily made it to the other bank without any issue, which eased a nagging worry inside of him. He truly did hate water. Too many bad memories. Briefly he felt like he was a small kitten again, fighting for breath but being unable as water kept pouring into his lungs.
Grimwolf growled and shook himself firmly, padding on the worn path that led him closer to camp. he could see the stone walls now through the trees. "Midnightstar better not send any apprentices. Not if we don't know what we're dealing with," he huffed, mostly to himself but it was certainly loud enough for his sister to overhear. The tom didn't really believe his leader would put young cats in danger but needed to get out of his head this morning and talking or fighting was the only way he knew how.

Duskhound -- in camp "I don't think Midnightstar would, though it would be good experience for any young cat." when they entered the camp Duskhound looked around for Midnightstar. She spotted their leader on the White Stone and she led the way over. The mercenary was pretty distracted by the need to tell her leader about the noises and she accidentally trod on Goldencrests tail. The tom jumped and his head shot up. Though he still looked too drowsy to really process the situation.

Grimwolf with Duskhound & Midnightstar // in camp ★★☾★★
The tom dipped his head in silent agreement, not wanting to pick a fight as they entered the sleeping camp. That would mean waking up some unhappy clan mates and while he loved a good brawl as much as the next cat, he doubted his superiors would feel the same. The last time he'd started a huge fight outside the ring, Midnightstar had him helping the C-Ranks and apprentices with their chores for nearly a moon. He wasn't eager to repeat the experience. Snorting at his sister's carelessness, Grimwolf flashed what he thought was an apologetic scowl but it probably came off more threatening than anything. He stepped up beside his sister, calmly waiting for her to notice their presence, which of course didn't take long.
Midnightstar with Duskhound & Grimwolf // in camp ★★☾★★
Midnightstar had just finished grooming her pitch black coat and had settled her head on her paws to let her mind wander away for a moment. Her round yellow gaze quickly spotted the two siblings making their way through the sleeping bodies, clearly ready to report their dawn patrol findings. The young leader narrowed her gaze the tiniest bit, her head tilting to one side.
A report could normally wait till later in the day, usually her deputy delivered it to her around sun-high but clearly something had the gray furred siblings spooked this morning. "Duskhound, Grimwolf," she greeted formally, pushing her paws up under her so that she was sitting rather than lazing about. So much for a quiet morning.
"What is it?" Midnightstar asked, cutting right to the chase, seeing no reason to beat around the bush, so to speak.

Duskhound -- in camp The she-cat dipped her head politely before saying "We were passing the Forbidden Shrine and we heard something unusual." Duskhound proceeded to explain the screeching they'd heard "It's unlike anything i've heard before. Grimwolf thought we should return here and gather a patrol before we look into it. It's not like we know a lot about the shrine, and whatever it was sounded close. Even if we are more than capable of handling things we decided to report back instead." she surprisingly managed to keep her report somewhat short despite her chatter box nature.
Goldencrest -- in camp The look the other mercenary shot the angel hybrid made a shiver run down his spine. The other tom had always been intense, and as the resident lazy cat they obviously didn't get along all that great. He stretched out and padded after them, interested to hear what the pair had to say. Whatever it was must be more interesting than any chatter he'd hear at the fresh kill pile. After the enthusiastic explanation he tilted is head and wondered what it could be.

Midnightstar with Duskhound, Grimwolf, Goldencrest // in camp ★★☾★★
The black furred molly bristled at the mention of the Forbidden Shrine. Sometimes she wondered why the clan didn't just exclude the area from their territory completely since no cat ever returned if they ventured inside. The report of strange noises coming from within couldn't be a good sign.
Her tail lashed behind her as she silently calculated what the best option would be to take. Of course sending out another patrol to make sure a new creature hadn't stumbled out to harm her clan was the first priority but if they couldn't find the creature... Midnightstar shook her head firmly once, clearing her thoughts. The shrine was forbidden for a reason and she would not be the leader foolish enough to send her clan mates into the cobweb forest to die.
"I will personally take out a patrol to go investigate around the area a bit more. Goldencrest, since you just woke up, you can get to work on a hunting patrol," she ordered the angel-hybrid as she leaped down from White Stone in one fluid movement. The S-Rank molly dipped her head to her mercenaries before padding towards the fresh-kill pile, wondering who would be best to take along with her on a mission such as this. Nothing could come of it, but it could also be dangerous....
Grimwolf with Duskhound // in camp ★★☾★★
Grimwolf watched as his leader jumped down from White Stone, relieved that she had taken their concerns seriously. He didn't know what could be hiding out in the cobwebs making such an awful sound but he didn't trust it within an inch of his life. To be fair, there wasn't a lot the tom did trust.
"Are you going to ask to be on the patrol?" he nudged his sister, wanting to know if he had to volunteer as well. There was no way he'd let his sister go anywhere near something potentially unknown without him as backup. Logically he knew his sister wasn't a kit anymore and could take care of herself, he certainly trusted her to have his back in a fight, but there was something about this enemy being potentially more dangerous than any they currently knew about that had all his protective instincts screaming at him.

Duskhound -- in camp "Oh yeah! I totally should! I can lead them to the area." Duskhound chirped. She hurried after her leader and shooting a smile at her brother "Midnightstar! Please let me join you, I can show you where we heard the sound the loudest." the she-cat looked eager to join, and she wasn't tired despite having gone on the dawn patrol.
Goldencrest -- in camp Geh. He shouldn't have woken up. Goldencrest tried not to look too irritated as he nodded and turned to look around the camp for cats that were awake. He internally sighed and stretched out. Hopefully some cats would be up and willing to join him on a hunting patrol. And he would NOT be going near the shrine.

Grimwolf with Duskhound & Midnightstar // in camp ★★☾★★
Grimwolf had to hide a resigned sigh. Looked like he was going out on that patrol, which meant interacting with more of his clan mates. It's not that he hated the felines he lived with, he just often didn't have the patience for them. Or they wore on his very short temper and then he had to do damage control... or Duskhound did. His sister was the only reason he had any sort of social life.
Trailing after her, he remained a step behind, not wanting to crowd Midnightstar. "I'll come too," he mumbled, scowling at the entrance, not patient enough to enjoy sitting around and waiting. Midnightstar with Duskhound & Grimwolf // in camp ★★☾★★
The pitch black molly turned her head abruptly at the approach of Duskhound and her brother. Amusement touched her face and she subtly shook her head at their persistence. She supposed that she should have expected this, especially from the excited mercenary. Grimwolf seemed less than enthused but would follow his sister into flames and shadow. Midnightstar admired their strong sibling bond if nothing else.
"Seeing where the sound is strongest would be a smart plan. You both can accompany me. I haven't decided who else to take with us," she admitted, though it almost pained her to do so. As a leader she was expected to have the answers but she really didn't know who would be best to bring along. She didn't know if it would be too wise to drag apprentices along, at least until they knew what they were dealing with.

[[ hey sorry been a while. Something came up and ive been moving around a lot eeeek Also totally sympathize with the poor pumpkin i had bad social anciety for years and only recently have started getting over it. I dont want to scar the poor child. ]]
Palethorn -- near camp w/pumpkinpatch
Palethorn blinked her red eyes, feeling quite unsure of what to do. She knew of Pumpkinpatch's shyness, but enjoyed working with her when she did as she was one of the few that felt as comfortable in silence as Palethorn did. "It's okay," the grey she-cat said softly, "I've been meaning to go out of camp today anyways, maybe a hunt instead." It surprised the vampire that this had a kernel of truth to it, maybe the restlessness would be solved by going out, if only to remind her of how good it was to remain in camp.

Duskhound -- in camp "It's a bit hard to find cats awake at this time." Dushound agreed, looking around as well. She stretched her claws and waited to see who their leader would pick for the patrol. She was glad to be able to come with. If Duskhound missed out on this she'd be upset. Who know if something fun would happen!
Goldencrest -- near camp His ears pricked as he heard Palethorn and Pumpkinpatch discuss hunting. Perfect, having two others potentially go with would make things easier. He approached with a smile and said "Hey you two! Midnightstar asked me to throw together a hunting patrol, would you be interested in going with?" his head tilted to the side as he asked, and the easy going smile never left his face.

[[ just doodling some character development. ]]
Scarletmoon & Lioncloud // elder's den
"Are you sure that Ivoryspark used that--"
"Of course I'm sure," Scarletmoon snapped, pressing harder than probably necessary with her claws onto the grey-stemmed plant. "I still remember every word that mangy molly ever said." The black elder shook her head, as if that could keep Ivoryspark's screeching reprimands out, but while there were many things in this world Scarletmoon could do, dislodging any memory of her sister's mentor was not one of them. "She mixed the sap of this plant with water, it has to be very hot water. She used the mirror, I think."
Lioncloud nodded, gently taking the plant away from Scarletmoon's claws, fearful it would be injured beyond recognition. He set it aside from the rest of the bundle, ready to be secreted away in the clefts of herbs downstairs while the rest could be discarded. The medicine cat loved the small library, often wasting hours away looking through the shelves of trinkets and inked tablets and talking with the elders. It was this way that he overheard Scarletmoon ranting about Ivoryspark, though it wasn't until moons later that he suddenly --while in the middle of sorting the spring herbs-- remembered why the name was so familiar: it was his grandmother's mentor's name, an ancient medicine cat, the one who added many of the small details to the bestiaries he frequented so often. He had made it a habit to take extra plants from his gathering sessions as a side project, pestering Scarletmoon to see if she remembered any of the stems Ivoryspark used to create the dark dyes for the bestiary's fine details. It wasn't until today that his search bore any fruit.
The golden tabby quickly excused himself, eager to gather more of the plant --it wasn't far, he found a large swath of it in a clearing somewhat near the Forbidden Shrine. He had a few chores today, nothing major. He would have plenty of time to spend experimenting with the sap and its properties. He didn't particularly know how the mirror would help, he would have to ask around later, perhaps the exorcists knew more about that topic. Lioncloud buzzed with anticipation as he jumped down the stone staircase to the bottom floor of the church, the bundle of useless plant leaves in his jaws.

Grimwolf with Duskhound & Midnightstar // in camp ★★☾★★
The tom grunted in agreement with his sister, though he resisted the urge to roll his eyes. She of course was ready to go, eager to see what kind of fun she could get into. Grimwolf really couldn't hold it against Duskhound to be fair, the molly could have turned out like him. He winced at the thought, casting his gaze elsewhere. No, as annoying as his litter mate could be, he liked her the way she was. The tom turned his head when Lioncloud came trotting down the steps, dipping his head in greeting to the older tom, unaware of the scowl still painted on his face. Friendly and approachable just weren't his thing really. Midnightstar with Duskhound & Grimwolf // in camp ★★☾★★
"That's very true," Midnightstar agreed, almost to hersef. Creatures tended to be more active at night so a lot of hunting took place during the later hours, which meant the clan was usually pretty slow to rise. That made this situation a bit tricky. Running through her mental list of mercenaries, she realized she might have to wake up some cats. Joy.
"Will you grab Cirrusblaze for me, Duskhound?" she asked her much more friendly clan-mate, knowing that if she asked Grimwolf the tom would be less than pleasant, without really meaning to. And while it wouldn't bother her, she didn't want to offend the mouse-gifted mercenary.
Pumpkinpatch with Palethorn & Goldencrest // in camp ★★☾★★
Pumpkinpatch actually felt a little soothed by Palethorn's words, which was a strange new experience for her. The orange patched molly wondered if it was because she'd hung around the mercenary more than others, enjoying her companionable silence. There was something so soothing about not having the pressure to fill the void with words that gave her nausea to say. Smiling weakly, the timid cat bowed her head in silent acceptance, still worrying that she'd offended the vampiress somehow.
Poor Pumpkinpatch nearly jumped right out of her skin when Goldencrest's voice reached her out of the blue, her jitters coming back and making her whole body tremble with fright. Wide green eyes locked on the angle-hybrid and she stammered over herself. "O-Oh, u-uhm, o-ka-ay?" she squeaked, wishing the ground would swallow her up whole.
Zephyrpaw with Batpaw // the stone circle ★★☾★★
The tom moved silently down the steps that led down into the training area, following the scent that was as familiar to him as any other. His eyes quickly adjusted to the darkness as he reached the last step, tilting his head as his electric blue gaze searched for his brother amongst the shadows. On the highest level he spotted his brother, pacing around as though working off something.
Zephyrpaw's large paws fell silently across the floor as he moved closer, shifting through the dark in order to keep himself better hidden. His light coat didn't aid much but he kept himself low and moved stealthily, never taking his gaze off his target. Without a sound, Zephyrpaw leaped from the darkness - aiming for his brother's shoulders to knock him over.
Not out of any sort of aggression. Although this might not be the normal greeting between two loving siblings, Batpaw was one of the few felines that the necromancer apprentice truly trusted and cared for. Most of the time he seemed to be the only one who understood him and didn't call him crazy for having his vivid, hellish night-terrors.
( Sorry these are so late! I'm sorry you went through that Brownie, I am glad you're getting better however! )
