TALENTED CATS AND KITTENS ABOUT Welcome, travelers! My name is Maplestone. You must be wondering why you've stumbled upon such a cavern nestled deep in the mountainside to find it bustling with life, and I hope you'll allow me to explain before you shy away. You see, this cavern is a haven for the talented cats and kittens in this world.
Talented, you ask? Most cats wouldn't use such a word to describe them, but it's the one I prefer. You might say the cats here are different from most others out in the world, in ways that are quite wondrous and breathtaking to behold. But there are some who don't appreciate these talents, and that's why many of the cats here have lost their homes, having been abandoned by those who should've cared for them, just because they're different.
I do my best to care for these cats in their stead; to raise them, cherish them, treat them like they belong. But I can't give each of them all the love they deserve. I'm just one cat. That's why I also try to find them homes, so that they may be adopted and cared for by cats who appreciate them for who they are, not for what they can do.
Will you adopt one of these talented cats and kittens? Will you give them the home they deserve? Why don't you find out? RULES I know that no one really likes to read rules, so I'll try to keep it short. But, please read them, because there are things you'll need to know in order to participate in the roleplay and keep things running smoothly. Thanks!
1. Follow all the forum rules, just like on any other roleplay.
2. No kit stealing, slavery, or killing. Be kind to the young ones here, and don't be offended if they lash out at you; some may do so as part of the roleplay. Cats are adopted by winning their favor, not by taking them by force.
3. You may only see up to 2 cats at a time. To try for more, finish adopting your first 2 before moving on to keep the roleplay from getting too cluttered.
4. If you are inactive for longer than a month, I will tag you a few times and PM you once to remind you to come back before putting any cats you were seeing out for adoption. I understand that we all have a life outside the forum, so, if you're ever going to be gone for a long period of time and would like to keep seeing your cat after you get back, just let me know. I'll put them on hold for you. You might also have just forgotten, and that's understandable. I have a tendency to poof as well, so I'm not going to be too strict with activity, I just don't want people joining and posting one time before disappearing forever, you know?
5. This is a semi-literate roleplay, so please try to be as literate as you can. That means, please at least try to use good grammar and spelling so that things are easy for me to read. And, I know you won't always be able to write entire paragraphs each time you post, and that's okay. I just need something decent that I'm able to reply to. Also, no spotlighting, powerplaying, or flaming.

LEVELS Each cat or kitten will be listed with a symbol before their name representing their level and difficulty to adopt. These symbols include:
● Level 1 - easy
● Level 2 - normal
● Level 3 - moderate
● Level 4 - hard
● Level 5 - extreme
Your progress in adopting a cat directly correlates with their level number. You will have to interact with them for a certain amount of time, or stages, before they warm up to you enough to agree to being adopted. For example, an easy cat would only take a single stage before adoption, while an extreme cat would take five. A progress bar will be shown underneath each cat you're seeing to show how much longer you need to roleplay.
Ex: ■■□□□ THE CAVERN The cavern is lodged deep in a mountain beside a thundering waterfall with a narrow stone pathway leading to the top. The waterfall drains into a small lake, which is situated to the left of a large pine forest.
The first and largest cave is a tall, rough dome and has a small stream running through the center. The left side of the cave has the kits' nests, located in bramble dens brought in from the nearby forest, and the right side is for playing and has a fresh-kill pile near the front.
Maplestone's den is located in the back of the first cave, with moss hanging over the entrance of a small tunnel leading to it.
The trainees' cave has a narrow pathway leading up to it on the right wall of the first cave, near the front. It is large, but not as big as the first, and has a wide area for training sessions and its own small fresh-kill pile. One wall is completely open to the sky, and has a ledge jutting out of the front, overlooking the pine forest. There are also dens and nests near the back of the cave.
A long tunnel leading to the warriors' cave is hidden near the back of the first cave. It veers to the right and continues deep into the mountain. The warriors' cave is dimly lit with a few glow rocks and stalactites hanging from the top, and each warrior has their own den. They spend most of their time alone, except to eat, and to occasionally talk to the other warriors. |

[Jekyll] [Jekyll] [Rogue] [ Jekyll is a long-haired ginger tom. He has a white streak on his chest and another about mid way up his tail. He has a scar on his left haunch and his tail tip is missing but use to be white. He has green eyes that shine with life and he always has a sense of strength around him. His claws are long and are stained red along with his toes being red as well. He has streaks of blue, red, gold, and orange on his underbelly. His back, haunches, and tail are decorated with blue, green, red, amber, gold, silver, white, yellow, and purple speckles and his left back leg is black. Jekyll is a nice and caring tom. He has an odd appearance and coloring but he is as motherly as a queen or kit-mother or whatever else you call your mother cats. He cares for everyone as if they're his own kits and loves to just sit and gaze around the cavern and think about how he's made it this long and helped all of these cats to find their true home. ] [Sandkit and Splotchkit] [Cats Rule] |

A small gray figure walks to the cavern's entrance, peering inside its gaping mouth. "Hello?" she calls into the cave, hearing her voice echo on the high stone walls. "I'm supposed to meet a cat called Maplestone?" Hearing no answer, she shifts her paws nervously and continues. "My name is Fallownose. I was looking to adopt Violetpaw."

From the trees stepped a tall figure with ginger fur, their green gaze sweeping across the land as he continued on toward the waterfall as it thundered down. Slipping through behind it he stepped i to the cavern beyond, a sense of strength seeming to eminate from the cat himself. Looking around with a focused gaze he caught sight of two different kits and felt that familiar pull toward them. "Hello? I hear that the cat in charge here is Maplestone?"

Maplestone was just arriving back in the cavern from a fruitful hunting trip. She had trusted Nightstreak to watch the cavern while she was gone, given that he was a skilled helper and the cats they watched over were always safe in his paws. He was practically a son to her, not just another staff member. He'd been the first talented kit she'd raised as her own and had inspired her to found her Home in the first place.
So, with Nightstreak watching the kits, Maplestone had been free to catch a fair amount of fresh-kill for those in the cavern to share. As she dropped the creatures hanging from her maw onto the pile near the entrance, she heard new voices approaching behind. She straightened again and turned to the nearby newcomers.
"Welcome!" the tabby greeted them both with a flick of her tail. "It's always nice to see new faces here. Especially ones who've heard of my Home." |

(I'll just make like Rattlesnake and Dream had to leave for a tiny bit to check on their group.  ) It was a couple mornings later that Rattlesnake and Dream returned, walking close together, with their fur brushing. Rattlesnake's pelt showed signs of recent bristling and occasionally he'd mutter something. To which Dream calmly replied something back. This went on until they were in actual earshot of the far more sensitive ears of the kits. They didn't need to know some of the drama that was going on with Rattlesnake's group. "Where are they?" Dream asked Rattlesnake softly, looking around to see who he could spot first - Maplestone or one of the kits. |

Fallownose jumped a little as the older she-cat emerged from the shadows of the cavern. "H-hi," she said, nodding her head respectfully to the she-cat. "Are you Maplestone?" She'd been traveling for many days to find this place, and sincerely hoped she had arrived at her destination. "I heard about your home and the cats here. Violetpaw in particular seemed to resonate with me, when I was told about her."

mintedstar/fur Mistkit, due to her powers of foresight, had known exactly when Rattlesnake and Dream would return from their visit home. Of course, there were many subtle variations based on how their journey went, but they closer they got, the more certain their arrival became. Regardless, she'd picked the day she knew they would show up and had decided to wait near the entrance for them during the entire possible time range. She was patient enough to do so, of course, but Mottlekit, who she'd managed to drag along, wasn't quite. He kept grumbling "How much longer" every few minutes, but, to his credit, never actually left.
When Mistkit saw Rattlesnake and Dream pad in through the cavern entrance, she sprang up from where she'd been waiting and bounded over to meet them. Mottlekit followed as well, though a bit more slowly and hesitantly.
"That was fast!" Mistkit observed when she'd reached them, her tiny body rumbling with purrs. "Isn't your home far away?" . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .Maplestone
@fallownose Maplestone dipped her head in agreement with the newcomer's question. "That would be me," she replied. As she took in the she-cat's next words, her ears perked in pleasure. "Violetpaw definitely is a precious cat! I'm glad you're here to see her." For a brief moment, she turned to locate Nightstreak near the kits' dens and flicked her tail to beckon him over. "Nightstreak can show you to the trainees' cave and help find her, if you'd like." (That's fine, I do the same thing  ) |

I'm not gonna lie... I reread the last of our rp, and I lowkey have no idea where we were really going bc there's not a lot to go by, which is why it took me a little while to reply. Lol. ]
Watching Fishkit as he crouched and prepared to dart across the line, the Warrior kept on alert. Ambermist didn't think the kit would impose any "real" damage to him during their play fight, but he had to remember that Fishkit was a prankster in addition to the fact that kits as a whole didn't know when to use claws and teeth seriously and when not to. That being said, Ambermist noticed when Fishkit tensed before darting across the line, but he made sure to act clumsy as to make it more fun for the kit. He blinked in "surprise" as he glanced from side to side, muscles tensing in preparation for a blitz attack, before turning an ear back to see if he could hear any movement behind him. The brown tabby let his ear return to pointing forward before he whirled around to see if Fishkit was right behind him, a paw outstretched and ready to bat at the kit if he was indeed behind him.

Summer As soon as Ambermist whirled around, Fishkit sprang into action. He wasn't just a prankster; his moons spent pushing the other kits' buttons, no matter how short, had given him some insight as to the best places to attack. Not the face, of course, as Ambermist was too much bigger than him, but the tail? No cat liked their tail being pounced on, that was for sure.
So, Ambermist's tail was what he went for first. If it worked, his tiny size would help him slip through Ambermist's paws uncaught. If it didn't, he could get batted away like a minnow. |

[Bearflower has the build of an average WindClan cat, wiry and thin. Her pelt is a mixture of faded warm browns and whites and a little inbetween, which makes her stand out. Her eyes are a yellowish orange, and she isn't intimidating at all. She is calm and nonchalant, with a good sense of humor. She does tease sometimes, but she means well.]

He glanced over at Rattlesnake, waiting for his input. The tabby tom's tail tip flicked and he nodded toward the entrance. "Did you want to show us around? Has anything changed since we were last here?" |
