Twistedpaw stiffened in surprise, not expecting the small she cat to have been chosen. Most leaders would never consider chosing a cat as inexperienced as an apprentice, but she supposed the Riverclan leader had her reasons. Part of the medicine cat apprentice wished she could be chosen, so she could escape Shadowclan. She loved her clanmates to death, but everywhere she went she was reminded of her previous life, and of her dear sister... And she wanted to escape it. Bogstar would never choose me... It was my fault his apprentice died, he even said as much.
